If the community wants OS to be a dueling zone, it’s going to be a dueling zone. Just like behind the windmill. Just because they aren’t specified as dueling areas doesn’t mean they aren’t. You seem to know that OS is considered a dueling area and still interrupt duels. You aren’t someone I’d like to associate with.

In addition, duelists, spvpers and WvWers are the real PvPers of this game, not puzzle campers.

Might not be OP, but definitely an extremely annoying opponent to face. Some changes would be welcome.

Let’s give ele a useful elite…..on top of the absurd dueling and bunk potential they already have with the celestial build

Necro is a good class, but it is too easy to counter 1vs1. A half decent thief should be able to 1vs1 most necros and 2 players should definitely kill it pretty quickly.

If the Necro knows how to play, he can 1v1 anything with almost no problem. 1v2 noobs is a piece of cake as well. Theif should never attack a necro 1v1….you get rekt. IF the necro has zero life force, then the theif has a shot; but there’s no way to tell, so you don’t do it (2 LB’s = dead theif). I can’t tell you how many solo Q’s I go into as necro and take out 1v3 and cap the point. Newbs be newbs and they won’t stand a chance on a class that can put out a ton of damage fast.

I guess I haven’t met a necro that knows how to play since the dhumfire nerf then because necro is pretty much the only class I feel confident to kill or at least close to kill on my thief in a 1vs1. Other classes depends on their build. I have never seen a necro take out 1vs3 and cap a point. Maybe you were mistaking Mesmer clones for actual players?

A necromancer starting with full LF is an uphill battle for any class

Anything that push far, bunk and still kill things 1v1 will carry you high.

Contradictory to the post above, I think engineer is the best class to carry solo queue with. They can use celestial amulet effectively, they can fight 1vX at far node without dying, they are beast mode at 1v1 and have good mobility to move across the map if needed. If you are 1vXing at far node without dying and have the decap on, you are basically putting the team on your back.

IIRC it’s only top 100 for the update on december 2nd, and top 20 get a piece of glorious heroes armor. if you were top 100 before the patch on december 2nd you still need to wait, as they need to generate the list manually before handing out rewards. i haven’t received my piece of armor or llama yet.

I played against you in Courtyard, and can confirm that we were indeed 3 mates.
However, I don’t think we should judge the system yet, since it needs to balance itself out.
It should work fine, it does in Dota and CS:GO. You rarely meet a fully premade as a pug (never happened before), and two people queueing together shouldn’t be a big deal if the matchmaking is working properly.
The problem in our match was the MM. I believe our “team-rating” was much higher than yours.

Except there are far less people queueing for sPvP at a time then queueing for DOTA or CS:GO matches.

I just finished completing gendarren fields on my alt, along with queensdale and kessex hills. I barely managed to hit level 28 by finishing these 3 maps.

That’s not conclusive proof that you are being double teamed, neither is it proof for bribed commanders. This is allowed anyway, so why did you feel that you needed to make this thread?

Check to make sure your mailbox isn’t full.

One time I managed to blockade hills all by myself. Their squishy casters kept trying to run to hills by themselves 1 by 1. I probably killed an upwards of 15 eles, necros and mesmers on my s/d thief in the time it took for hills to he capped.

If you cast steal on a target while in the animation for flanking strike, your steal will teleport you to target but it will not damage them even if traited. Instead, it will show out of range.

Also the tooltips for the healing gained by grandmaster trait “assassin’s reward” are wrong in the case of flanking strike and larcenous strike due to the initiative shift. Also just confirmed that you gain the wrong amount of HP for these skills too.

How are the matchups going to be determined this time for the WvW tournament?

HOPE is in the process of moving to TC.

How? Those servers have been Full for weeks now.

There are certain times of the day where a server is occasionally open. Blackgate opens near 12:45-1PM EST, JQ opens near 6 PM EST, SOS opens near 7:45-8AM EST. I’ve never see TC open, but I’m willing to bet they open during the PST-OCX gap.

Source: I’ve been camping world select for the past 2 weeks trying to get onto TC. Gave up and transferred to JQ.

Most of the major wvw guilds in DB were tanking last week in order to avoid going to gold league. They even had a meting on the DB teamspeak to organize the tanking. People who opposed got kicked from the TS. So I think SBI will go to gold league. If maguma drop next week I think DB will play dead 1 more week to avoid going up.

I would like to see DB on gold league.

I know a lot of guilds like to run without a tag so they can gvg and have fun as a guild in general, i get that, and have no problem with it.
But when its a major guild are you’re the primary zerg in that borderland, would it kill you to stop being such excluding kittens? Throwing on a commander tag gets you all the “pubbies,” yes, but the pug people might just play this game casually and can still be very skilled at wvw. So for the good of your server, just throw a kitten tag on man!
(This forum seems to change every explicit word to kitten…)

Agreed, if you want T2 you should transfer. IMO TC will be T1 for awhile.

Wouldn’t say for awhile, maybe the next 2 weeks. But with how empty our maps have been recently and with our score, not going to be long before we come play with T2! Can’t wait, I’ll start playing WvW again when that happens.

If you think the guilds there have high standards you won’t get in many other wvw guilds unless they are guilds looking to grow rather than most established ones – I know Deso has [AH], [GH] and [TF] who might be recruiting.

But well, you have to start at the bottom and make your way to the top which isn’t easy, then you have to think is it worth it with current state of WvW.

I applied to one of the top guilds and was told that I needed to have 150k WvW kills, GvG experience and be one of the top D/D ellies EU. This doesn’t seem like low standards to me. Maybe for others they are. But yes I am pretty kitten new to the WvW scene. Thank you for your input :p
