5 mans can queue into any number of premades. just not all solo queue.

edit: besides, premades are almost always easy to farm because they group up due to lack of individual skill anyway

Just here to give you guys your daily reminder that you’re complaining about 3 different builds.

One spams symbols, one spams traps, the other specializes in sustain and rezzes.

If you halve trap damage, you will not stop the symbol spamming build or the block/healing spamming build that (some) of you guys are complaining about. Some of you are having difficulty with some builds more than others which is probably a function of what class/build you play.

*there is also the meditrapper build which is usually used for esl that is less complained about but occasionally you will see posts saying dh tossing you in and out of test of faith is broken and does too much damage, bringing the complaints to 4 builds.

I wouldn’t be against it if they nerfed all of them.

It’s completely possible to solo queue to legend. I went 71-23 this season to go on into legend solo queue only. I know a bunch of other players who have solo queued into legendary. It’s not hard.

Several games now I’ve had a situation where my team wiped (usually to 2 or 3 dh standing on the bell). Then before we could regroup the bell was ready again, instant loss.

That’s a bad mechanic. Just keep the bell running on a stable schedule. It shouldn’t be possible for a team to get 150+ points in the space of a few seconds.

That’s exactly what lord does in foefire, though.

I’ve been on chaiths stream a couple of times. If other ESL players streamed I mightve been there. One time I killed biklen 1v1 in wvw. Not sure if that was streamed.

i’m used to solo queue, but this season the system is the worst i’ve seen in the 4 seasons, you get matched against players on different divisions (higher divisions in worst cases) or even a full premade team and your teams is made of random players, for example today i got matched against Spvp team, i really hope they fix this, because like it is right now really dissapoint and makes you don’t want to play pvp

If Spvp is the guild I’m thinking of, they’re essentially a bunch of skilled solo queuers grouped together. They’re not like a team or anything.

The choice of “hardcore” style pvp players would have to be team queue. That group is too small to support pvp on it’s own.

GW2 is a casual game. Witness ANET’s effort to attract pve players to pvp. No, if one could choose only team or solo, then solo would be the logical choice.

@ROC I’ve been an avid dungeon runner for a long time. When I first started, I’d often find myself kicked from a party without explanation.

Later I learned that I had been rejected because it was considered my gear wasn’t adequate or I had made some mistake. Or I simply wasn’t a geared out 80.

I have Dungeon Master and know a couple of the runs like the back of my hand. Still, on my alt account thief I couldn’t get into a party. She hadn’t made 80 yet.

For this reason, I am careful to make my lfg “all welcome” When I lead groups. Countless times I’ve heard players wonder why they couldn’t get on a party or got kicked. It still happens in places like Arah.

There are few if any randoms running raids. I tried but was kicked after I made some error that was never explained. This was on one of my main account Mesmers, in full ascended gear, ( including Wings of Dwayna, ironically.)

With the attitude in pvp, it would very quickly become a situation of only select players ever getting on a team.

What would the rejected players do? They’d leave. All team is a disastrous scheme and I fervently hope anet is clearsighted enough to see that.

With your mindset, why even play the game at all? According to you, if you simply show up to something enough you should be rewarded with top tier items. I don’t want to beat the dungeon/raid; just give me the phat lewts because I’m here.

This, 100×. I don’t care if you’ve played 500 more games than me, or even 10000 more games than me, if you don’t deserve the wings, you shouldn’t get them, no matter how much you participate.

I was a legend last season, I’ve only recently started playing ranked again and climbed out of sapphire pretty quick.

I went 3-3 on the first day of the season against ESL players and decided to wait for them to climb so I could just winstreak up

It shows the disgusting difference in skill Ithilwen has with an upper division player. She has been making threads throughout the seasons about how she is stuck because “MMR HELL!!!!” and how the game favors certain players, then she finally posted a video of her playing and its as bad as you can imagine. I very well know the game is not balanced on 1 v 1, but it will clearly show the skill gap. Anything in a 5 v 5 would just result in “ahhh my team was so bad why can’t I grind out games oh woe is me.”

It still doesn’t mean much though imo, because PvP is a team game and 1v1s don’t count for all the other things you need to focus on in a PvP match. It’ll show whether she can beat whoever in this 1v1 but that doesn’t really display what is happening in a match.

Why would skilled players carry her? We aren’t under any obligation to, and if anything, she should be dropping, not climbing.

Anyways, back on topic, dueling in my world has become quite the issue. Personally I have no problem with two people fighting, as long as they do it in a place made for it. However, I often find duelers outside of towers /keeps /smc. With ques as they are this is getting out of hand. Furthermore duelers are know to break siege on the nearby wall to “prevent griefing”. Anet gave them an arena in OS, they gave them an arena in guild halls, and of course sPvP. To be dueling in WvW these days has no excuse.

Yes. Yes it is. In fact, it’s the whole point of WvW. You want to duel, go to Obsidian Sanctum, or like people have suggested, a desert BL – somewhere in a corner far away from an objective. Hell, there are places in EB that are far away (top NW corner, for example) from towers.

I see duelers near SM, constantly setting it to contested, I make a habit of taking them out.

Your spot in queue is not more important than mine.

People try to interrupt my duels sometimes. I just pull off and let the other player stomp the interrupter.
