Thieves can still stealth off anything they can damage which includes gates and siege. Only walls were removed and it is VERY justified. They should go back to the original fix where non-creatures could not be used to stealth.
To take this a bit further, stealth should put a player at half speed (mesmers as well). The fact that a thief with a single trait can move faster cloaked than not is stupid. Only game I have EVER played where stealth was an improvement in moving speed.
Have you heard of a spec called d/d burst? That why there is a trait to increase normal movement speed in stealth.

Condition shatter glass state is not worth the damage output tried PU post-patch with iE 0 4 6 0 4,cover conditions 0 6 6 2 0 and 2 6 6 0 0 I managed to kill LB rangers, turret engi and some 2v1 PU works better.
I would suggest decreasing MtD duration back to 4 sec and making it 2 stacks of torment per shatter.

The weapon-set itself didn’t need a fix. Acrobatics trait line needed a change.

Just tried glass with stone and renewal signets,I’mma say it’s ok did foud people who knew what to do. My most kills were stomp stopers and sniping the opposite team responded fast at my sight. Once you try it and see the other side you think differently it was real fun but wouldn’t call it op.

Condition guard may not be popular but works the RF change helped them with more sustain. I have been running the spec since April 15th and had some good results but it’s not much needed in high end pvp (same problem as a burst med guard foe “can” escape)

Acro has been ask to be buffed because of lack cleansing and UP traits, air/fire sigils don’t proc as often if you go full Acro and Trickery and do less damage, s/d has cripple,weakness, cleansing, instant gap closer,stealth,CC it’s not a pure burst weapon,increase of damage in vitality line is common for all classes.
All they need to is revert initiative usage with FS and LS,reduction in cast time of FS.

After a few weeks their numbers will decrease and they will restart complaining especially about thief.

Conditions and ranged burst kill them and I have tested that so they are fine, I tend to pick on them out of point to reduce chaos. 4 or 1 doesn’t matter your team’s spec does any build can be countered.

PU outshines shatter, it doesn’t matter what condition mesmer you are those rangers aim for everything alive and with new mimic shatter is too glassy I still kill them with PU,shatter is another thing…..
Shatter is better than it was post patch, the only change I’ve made is I’m taking mirror as my heal. Shatter will continue to be a superior TPvP option.
You do know I am comparing condition shatter to PU right?

I was brainstorming around this trait and how can it sync with it’s trait line and I came up with the idea of making it scale based on incoming damage.
-Unholy Sanctuary
7% of incoming direct damage heals you in and out of DS.
Pros : help necro in team fights, no need for healing power, can stack with SoV (still weak) , fits the class role.
Cons: doesn’t work with conditions, toughness reduces incoming damage.
Toughts?

Sooo…. you guys would be ok with 1200 range same cast time same damage? I mean its easy to dismiss RF as is, but how would you balance ranger with longbow? The only thing going for it is range, and there are too many ways of taking that away from them.
Animation and speed need a hot fix as soon as possible, I do understand ranger is supposed to have the highest single target ranged burst but all they needed was the burst part traits for speed and range already existed.

Necros are VERY strong. Healing through DS on any significant scale would be OP if not accompanied by some other kind of nerf like life force reduction. But then all youve accomplished is hurting the necros that dont want to trait for regen.
Asking for unholy sanctuary to be comparable to warriors healing signet is a freaking joke. Healing signet is OP and needs to be nerfed. Giving necros, who have 2+ lifebars, healing signet quality heals through unholy sanctuary would be absolutely game breaking.
Actually the necro community just wanted their traited heal to work in DS like siphon,regen and parasitic contagion….they could remove US I wouldn’t miss it even tough I use it.

I’m fine with burst but the animation and speed need a hotfix I just switch to SB or use SR I can kill them but I do get hate for using SA.
It is funny that they are saying it’s perfect but to me it look like a childish kind of revenge and lust(most LB rangers I saw were noobs…)

Anyone worth their salt that roamed in WvW knows Mesmers were already one of the top classes. This change was a very nice buff to an already top tier roaming build. Imagine if they gave thieves torment on auto attack of the pistol… rioting would ensue.
Oh my mmm they chose torment because a marathon starts at the sight of condition mesmer but a marathon also happen against condition thief mmm you might have started something…..maybe on sneak attack…

Shatter feels weak and too glassy for pvp however PU shine just switch 4 points for bounce,get cleansing sigils people don’t even want to stay on point no more. It’s a trade off less sustain more conditions but not OP.

In wvw all non-glass canon thieves(SA d/d,d/p,p/d and even SA s/d)are fine ^^ , pve we fine as well I use IP and BP nerf is very minor since mobs are dumb ^^, I dislike conquest but my main concern is shatter conditioner and the possibilty of celestial signet ele, I’m just going to be sneakier now and I still got my squad to back me up.
There is a possibility for minor unknown changes and hot fixes when patch drops.

The sole purpose of the change was to nerf PU, not change its flavor in any coherent way. They added boons to the pool it chooses from strictly to reduce its defensive effectiveness. As such it makes no sense to complain about the new boons it gives, as all they cared about was those boons not being protection, aegis or regen.
Not a good reason to have crappy might at least don’t make the boon useless it’s probably 1 stack with base 3 sec….

To me DD and staff AA are hybrid I’m with those but PU nah you only chose it for sustain unless might always happen when you leave stealth and is not part of the in stealth boons.
Just like when you interrupt always might then random but at least you really know the purpose of what you are going to get.

I’m fine with 5 boons but not might hell make it six retaliation, swiftness, vigor just not might.

Resilient lol...it’s because they don’t move that they cannot be critically hit or affected by conditions lol cancer tell me what pvp is about again? The knocback was my only complaint about them so far for other it’s the fact that they don’t move that seems to be the issue they fit in nicely in conquest just like bunker support builds.
Conquest is in favor of them...you have more chance of seeing MM necro then turret engi in wvw.

- I hate when Mesmers approach class changes through a singular, “tunnel-visioned” lens (usually PvP or WvW), and they forget there is a third mode of play (PvE). cough Scepter cough
- I hate when certain Mesmers achieve the rank of arrogance that some display on these forums daily. You may call them “experts.” The real word is “arrogant” or “pompous.”
- I hate when Mesmers act like know-it-alls.
- I hate when Mesmers contradict themselves.
- I hate how much animosity there is between PvP/WvW Mesmers and PvE Mesmers.
- I hate when Mesmers cry for Mesmer nerfs because they want to preempt the other classes crying for Mesmer nerfs.
- I hate when Mesmers are scared of being damage dealers. Any buff that increases damage, they immediately call OP, and say ArenaNet needs to nerf it.
- I hate how PvP/WvW Mesmers look condescendingly on PvE Mesmers. Just because you enjoy one game mode over the other does not make you better than those who enjoy the opposite mode.
- I hate arrogant Mesmers.

Sigh…not all heals…just siphon,regen and parasitic contagion. We don’t even have access to utilities in DS…….
All heals allowed is bad,very bad,game breaking bad……
Edit: non single target LF gains needs to be more common, staff AA piercing, dagger AA actually stacking LF,LF on crit as well, no need for scaling based of number of foes.

I’m not sure for 5 secs but why does every counter a class wants AGAINST THIEF has be stealth related? How come I’ve never heard of STEALING ENDURANCE on mesmer but nah everyone want the ALMIGHTY REVEALED DEBUFF?! It’s always about countering stealth with that countering stealth with this…when stealth is mechanism of only 1 trait line, THE MESMER CHAOS LINE DOES NOT HAVE TO GO STEALTH.

But I also play necro, and even self heals only during DS would be really difficult to balance for PVP, imho.
Huh..wait.. wut??? Tell me one necro that picks those traits and says :" I’m proud of my choice and I can see it doing it’s purpose".However I fully understand if they don’t buff parasitic contagion because necro has been given the ability to spread conditions.
They made DS more condition friendly because people traited for conditions but they didn’t made it full condi mode unload,what could be hard about making DS healing friendly because we traited for it and not healing mode unload because not all heals would be allowed?
The main is that those traits are not fully doing their jobs because the class have been build to counter its own traits, even phantasm mesmer is not like that the phantasm are not underwhelming because shatter is main mechanic. Anyone that believes and can prove it’s OP for my traits to work properly please say so.
