You can buy the sheets of charged ambrite needed for sinister inscriptions/insignias on the market (for less than the quartz needed to make them,) so you can skip the time gate. If you wanted celestial gear you’d need to charge the quartz yourself, though.
It’s not as if we wouldn’t need to buy the bag slots in question, and the inventory screen is perfectly capable of scrolling if someone’s screen resolution can’t handle that level of storage convenience.
So it is a bug…
Indeed.
You might also be able to fix it by binding a button to the pvp panel in the options menu and using it to go into the pvp lobby (top leftish of the window it will open) and then using it again to leave.
There was recently a couple of changes to that skill, I’d say that inadvertently caused it be deselected somehow, and until you reach a certain level you don’t have the normal arrow that would appear above the skill to let you reselect it.
Unless the arrow still exists in the hero panel (I don’t think it does) to let you select it there, you’ll just have to level up enough to gain the ability to select your skills or wait for Anet to fix it.
Picture of where the option to select it in the hero panel might be:
This perturbs me.

I think the t1 chest piece is an option for completing the lvl 20 personal story chapter now, and if you obtain them from that instead of the merchant it doesn’t count for the achievement despite unlocking the skin.
It’s possible some other pieces are obtained that way, but I haven’t checked.
I have also started noticing this a lot in the past weeks, and I’m mostly just logging on for dailies and Teq, it’s not very pleasant during Teq.
In short: no, unless you’re an elementalist that’s using the trait that makes it so.

What about the legendary pvp exclusive backpiece that requires you compete in the ranked seasons to get the needed components, with higher ranked players able to obtain them faster?
That seems like “legendary,/pvp exclusive skins”.
actually you CAN chose a specific dye in that pack ! !
so Zaron is wrong when saying that you dont have a free choice of any die that arrived in that pack
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Celebratory_Dye_Pack
“There is no randomization element whatsoever”but only gemshop set dyes
so no abyss, celestial and other basic dyes
That’s what they said…
1) – Have I understood it correctly, that the 3’rd birthday dye kits offer the exclusive colours of their respective packs, and not free choice of any die that arrived in that pack?
1) yes correct
All I want is gender-dimorphic armor sets. It’s really just a simple extension of what is already present within the game, and a few cultural sets are already dimorphic, so it’s definitely possible within the engine. No one is forcing you to wear anything you don’t want to wear.
Like hell they aren’t. It’s ridiculous how difficult it is to find a pair of pants for a human female.
I don’t care what armor sets they put into the game as long as they don’t go against the lore to do it. But “feminine” sets for Asura and Charr DO go against the lore of the game and consequently should not exist in the game.
Um, I hate to break it to you, but…
That’s the point; all the existing dresses etc. for female charr and asura are outfits that have been added post launch. That the devs didn’t make a single piece of armour look that way on them while they were making the game suggests that it isn’t their intention for them to adhere to human fashion in regards to femininity, but the demand for dresses on charr and asura is high enough that they started adding these items as it will evidently make more money than keeping the original racial identity.
While not having many (formerly any) clothes based on human femininity usable on your charr and asura annoys you, watching the original image of these races be abandoned for the sake of your fashion options annoys me. This is also why the option not to use the skins is irrelevant.

What if it just used endure pain defiant stance whenever the barrage is cast, while simultaneously gaining unstrippable retaliation, and maybe some might stacks to buff the retaliation.
Yesss…
Oh crap… Let’s just have one profession for all races with all the exact same skills, boons traits and weapons, same class armour, no outside buffs, food, accessories or stacks.
Then maybe, just maybe this constant squabble about balance will go away.
kitten I bet it will turn into his human looks more people like then my char does. :/
You’re supposed to change accounts first.
I just went to Dry Top and tried using the lightning pull with my 250-300ms ping, it still either overshoots the target and then turns me around when I land or undershoots the target and puts me in a rolling animation that also tends to take me a bit too far (unless I tried to land on an object or far away ledge like the skill is normally meant for, then I just fall short and roll against the object or fall down and fail the jump.)
You need to play as a charr, then you can triple wield and fire your flintlock pistol at the respectable rate of once every 15 seconds.
You’re not going to find any she-drakens in GW2, but you could try asking if bunny ears are coming back to make an aurin lookalike.
4 stacks of confusion for 8s every 5s from sword auto attacks with leg specialist…
It’s not enough to compete with burning.
I remember the karka event, it started at 3am for me and due to crashes/disconnects I got nothing out of it (except the 20 slot box that was mailed to me, iirc.) Some people used the overflow system to repeat the event several times to access the higher-than-average chance at a precursor final chest.
Good times, good times.
It’s worth mentioning that Twister in a Jars can’t be salvaged, which is why they can be much cheaper than other exotics.
The Chantry of Secrets.
You don’t need to get it anymore, it automatically gives you the Chantry’s map completion once you’ve done everything else. The source is that my last world completion ended in Mount Maelstrom and I got the Chantry of Secrets map reward popup at the same time.
I am genuinely uncertain as to if you’re serious or not (the rank 52 in the screenshots is the primary cause.)
The team score is not based on player scores, it’s increased by killing enemies, holding points and completing map-dependent secondary objectives.
I don’t know if player score actually does anything anymore… although you need to have more than 0 personal score to get any reward at the end of a match.
In regard to a sudden jump in points, killing the enemy team’s lord on Legacy of the Foefire gives your team 150 points.
Kirito is NOTHING like a mesmer.
Well, apparently his race (Spriggan) in the fairy world is the most adept at illusion magic and also associated with “shadow”; so both thief and mesmer aren’t too abnormal.
I haven’t read any of the novel-like things/other source material, however.
I don’t know why I bothered to keep watching after the first half of the first season…
The Mordrem Invasion event awarding a stacking buff for event contribution that effects your rewards that has no noticable maximum stack is just going to promote tagging enough mobs for event credit and waypointing off to other events instead of trying to complete any individual one.
It’s certainly an accurate representation of what new players can expect in the Silverwastes and probably Verdant Brink’s timed defense events, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.

So people want to see one NPC (Dougal) in HOT but in another thread today they said they did not want to see another NPC (Sya) there because a NPC there would take the focus off of the player?
Am I the only one seeing the irony in this?
Dougal is an established character from the lore, who is also a combatant. Sya is a background character with no backstory beyond her use of a total makeover kit and name change contract, who happens to be an aid worker.
Unless the HoT zones change over time and lose the constant Mordrem attacks, I don’t see why an aid worker would be on the front lines in a war.
Courtesy of Evon Gnashblade, her change of sex is nothing new in Tyria and is a less notable (read: expensive) feat compared to her change of name.
Today, while doing Tequatl battery events on my guardian, I saw some people running to the jump pad at over 30s remaining on the countdown.
Noticing that it was off cooldown, I decided to amuse myself by telling them to “Feel my wrath!” as I gave them quickness. It succeeded in amusing me at no great detriment to them by making their launch land only 2/3 of the way to the next jump pad, and I can live with that.
Mesmer portals can be used to more detrimental effect than that by killing people or sending them somewhere they can’t easily get back from, but given that you need to interact with it (and I don’t remember portal activation ever taking precedence over looting a ground chest or talking to the LA banker) first, it seems unworthy of punishment.

How am I supposed to dodge or otherwise react to an important skill when all I see is this?
Here is another example, produced by myself and only two other players.
It’s also irritating that playing my beta reaper requires the disabling of the entire postprocessing setting using “low” or “none” for postprocessing if I don’t want a green overlay covering my screen as I camp in reaper’s shroud to shield myself from attacks I can’t see.

The bladedancer’s will switch to their daggers to perform a high-damage melee combo every now and then, but seem to mostly use their bow.
What about body blow?
Still waiting this guy to prove his ‘numbers’ by beating any Warrior solo of Miku/Sesshi/Goku with his so called ‘superior necro dps’.
But he won’t
You didn’t see his video… He compared in a linear fight where you can get ~ max dps, Brazil’s warrior damage over the fight, and his own. With icebow, without icebow, with early tw, with <50% hp. Gee, I really don’t understand you people, it’s as if you leave your brains in your pocket when you discuss some subjects.
He compared a phalanx strength warrior’s dps (including time to drop banners) with a necro that had both banner buffs and was grouped with a phalanx strength warrior giving it might stacks. That also included use of lich form (on a 180s cooldown) after just talking about calculating dps instead of burst based around your longest cooldown.
He also needs to get off his little vendetta against Warrior DPS that he has when always comparing his Necromancer to it, it makes him look a bit petty. He’s quite correct that both classes have similar DPS, and both classes are in the bottom 50% of classes for DPS output, anybody that isn’t a scrub knows that Warrior DPS actually isn’t too hot over a sustained encounter, it just has a high amount of front-loaded burst damage (that the big numbers often misleads the scrubs to believe they are doing more than they actually are).
What front loaded burst damage would that be? HB and WW have 6.4 and 8 second cooldowns.
I hope the pauldrons aren’t too small or too close to my character.
In the end it went F2P and is now doing well…
…is it? From what i heard, the income is still dropping, and the population managed to hit really low levels (in the low 5 digits range).
Wildstar’s F2P doesn’t have a release date yet, so I’m pretty sure they’re just making stuff up to support their point.
I don’t see how it would be a problem. The 1 limit seems to be for buying the account bound inventory item “Bag Slot Expansion” not for buying bag slots. The “Bag Slot Expansion” has the bonus of being savable for your HoT Reverent so I would guess they did not want everyone buying all of their future bags slots today. So bags slots are on sale AND there is a one time 50% off of the “Bag Slot Expansion” item.
At the least, this thread can let people who bought the item multiple times during the sale and used them already know that they can probably get a partial refund on them.
I haven’t found this mentioned anywhere, but since the sale is limited time I’d like to know if the method of bypassing the limit of only 1 bag slot at half price is intended and/or acceptable.
Will people who purchased them multiple times without the discount get it applied to them, will those who purchased them multiple times with the discount lose the additional slots/get charged the full price etc?
Note: It’s probably best not to mention specifically how to do it until confirmation is given.
I hope they don’t move any of their servers to the moon, I can only handle so much ping.
Even if they let you get the gifts without leveling up crafting, you wouldn’t be able to make the legendary because you then need to put everything in the mystic forge and your phobia of selecting items and clicking a button to combine them would kick in again.
Corsair will be releasing an MMO mouse with 12 side buttons called the Scimitar next month I think, it even lets you slide the grid of buttons forwards and backwards.
Unfortunately it might end up with a bright yellow bit on the side you can’t change.
They locked the other, larger thread on this subject because we don’t have enough information to go on, and I don’t see why they won’t do the same here until we do.

I concur with the OP, a more reasonable item that can be obtained through natural gameplay should be used instead.
I suggest charged lodestones for Quip to explain the glowing of the weapon, and charged lodestones in addition to silver doubloons to explain the silvery glowy nature of The Moot.
good, nerf the molechev kittentails too plz
They sadly are. Now has a cooldown and shorter duration.
I think that was more a reference to the ability to equip and then drop the item on the ground, visible to everyone. If you do it really fast (or macro it) then you can place hundreds of items on the ground that kills people’s frame rate.
After paying attention to it at Vinewrath (and not doing Vinewrath for a while) I noticed that my spamming of might stacks from forceful greatsword wasn’t overwriting the 1 minute stacks granted from siege weapons anymore.
How long has this been a thing?
Do you have Effect LOD enabled? They seem like something it would effect.
If you compare the the armour skins for male and female asura, it’s only (some) of the newer additions that are based on the human female designs. All (I couldn’t find a single set that didn’t) of the launch armour shared its design between both sexes.
If Anet wanted them to wear the human female variants, they could have done it with any of the sets they originally made, but they didn’t. They’ve only started to do so because people were asking for it, and thus were more likely to spend money buying gemstore outfits and armour.
Profit>intended character designs and lore, it would seem.
If it’s activating 60% faster, then you divide the cast time by 1.6 to get a 0.78s cast.
If it was still 100% faster, then you’d divide by 2 and get half of the base duration.
Staggering Blow says “Hello”… and “Goodbye”, because it’s knockback.
