I don’t think the fahrar cub griffon attack event is new, I’ve done it before a long time ago and I assume it’s one of the events that only triggers with lots of people nearby (like the legions quiz.)
Why would you even consider ANYTHING other than taking a chest piece from an ascended chest?
“Defender’s Chest of Ascended Boots” doesn’t give you much choice.
You can either have a spare, or choose a light/med armour one for the upcoming “all ascended armour skins” collection achievement.
I saw a thread a few weeks ago (I think) where someone joined in on one of the shared order missions (helping a minor race) that they were up to that belonged to someone in a different order. When it finished and they chose to accept the progress of their friend it also switched them to the other person’s order.
I don’t know if this was fixed or if you’ve actually chosen your order yet (see above posts,) but it might help if that is the case.
Before I deleted my ranger, I noticed that they swished their tail for every shortbow shot which looked ridiculous (especially given the rof on the auto attack.)
I think that overall they’ve said that charr aren’t popular enough to warrant the effort needed to fix most of the armour/tail issues. The T3 light cultural is a good example, it’s made only for charr but they either forgot charr have tails when they were making it or decided it doesn’t matter.
The cutscene and waiting period after porting up always existed, it’s just that it lasts 5 minutes after the first knight dies. When people fought them in sequence it almost always took longer than that to kill the second two.
They’re still handy if you find yourself needing to TAKE an additional 10% damage
/s
They finally fixed that bug when they released the Scarlet’s army potion (well, short after releasing it.)
Looking at this map shows that his house is at the Eastern end of that river/lake.
It might not even be intentional, I recall the attunement buff used to increase damage by something close to doubling it. Maybe when they made you do no damage without it they didn’t increase the damage bonus it offers?
I don’t know if this has been posted before as I’ve never looked in this section; but after making a post I just saw that the time stamp said that I made it “Less than a minute from now” but it changed to “Less than a minute ago” when I refreshed the page.
It’s not really a meaningful “error,” but amusing.
When fighting the split hologram after the recent patch, the two circles of attunement near each hologram disappeared and they started to fly out from the centre again to land randomly.
Of course while standing near the blue hologram a different attunement circle landed/appeared on me, causing me to become incorrectly attuned while attacking the mob.
The reason this seemed logical was the fact that, previous to the patch, the back item came out of the mystic forge as “Account Bound” only, not “Account Bound – Soulbound on Use” like it became post-patch.
Even if it didn’t say “Soulbound on Use” it did say it would soulbind on the stat selection screen.
If someone wanted to be pedantic, “Soulbound on Use” could also be a mixed message as selecting stats doesn’t mean you’ve “used” it yet. It does serve to let people know that when they buy something they won’t be able to sell it after using it, but since you don’t get to preview the items before making them that is less relevant here.
The final “6” in the number has the far right edge cut off (evidence of photoshop). Let’s not also forget that the red splash is centered behind the first 4 numbers and not behind the center “6” (where it would be had this been a 5 digit number).
If you look at the centre 6 it has the same “cut off,” but it’s actually just that the black outline stops on that part of the 6, and with the white background at the end you don’t notice the rest of the curve (as opposed to the red background for the centre one.)
Its not backstab or he would have the revealed de-buff. He doesnt have a stealth nor Revealed buff meaning this was from a normal attack. No way thats real. The only big damage regular attack is Cloak and Dagger, in which case he woulda had been stealthed. If you think thats from a auto attack…Looks quite real though
They said it was the total damage from dagger storm (which is one second into its cooldown in the screenshot.)
The wiki also says:
“Anomaly: The stat selection process indicates that resulting item will be soulbound, but it is actually account bound, and does not even become soulbound upon equipping”

It does seem rather pointless as there isn’t anything in there that’s a threat but Scarlet, and he can and does get up and walk away a few moment later.
She was healing him and Jory through the whole battle
Also I think Rox’ mission was to make sure scarlet died, not to deliver the killing blow. Charr do value group contributions (more than Norn for example)
Well, she managed to ‘fix’ his leg and revive Jory in the 10 seconds it took to impale Scarlet.
Healing spring OP, needs nerf.
I was in a group of strangers who waited for it to spawn to get the achievement, with everyone standing at range and the spider permanently immobilised it wasn’t very difficult.
There was one ranger though that felt like meleeing the mob instead of ranging like everyone else, fortunately the spider killed them with irony instead of using a cocoon.
Braham probably had his passive aegis up to take the blast damage, but the unblockable knockback sent both of them to the far side of the room, breaking his leg.
Her warband name will be Whetstone if she gets in, according to the wiki. Not sure what the source for that is, but I’ve seen the same name mentioned on forums elsewhere in the past, too.
Her name was listed as “Rox Whetstone” in the release notes near the start of Flame & Frost, but they changed it to “Rox the charr” pretty quickly.

It said it would soulbind when you picked the stats, it’s safe to say that it not doing was thus a bug.
It is a known bug, the only ways I know of to fix it without a relog (I don’t remember if zoning does anything) are getting downed or getting knocked down (falling from high enough will knock you down as well.)
I remember someone saying that legendary users can change the stats of the weapon if out of combat and that will fix it, but that might have been something slightly different.
Signet of resolve doesn’t have a passive heal, it removes a condition every 10 seconds.
Is it possible that the resource manager is now showing relevant game traffic under the tunneling service’s application?
there really is no need. the reason there is no mid level mats is because no one is killing the mobs that drop them. If you want to make money seriously just go to mid level areas and kill everything. you can get a decent chunk of them in a half hour. they still drop for lvl 80s
I get the feeling this is mostly about silver doubloons, which are most easily obtained by opening chests with level appropriate characters. The wiki says you can get them as a small chance from bags, but it doesn’t seem like it’s very much of a chance at all.
If they were intended to be entirely about the skin I would have assumed they would be a skin rather than an actual armour piece. Still It doesn’t really matter that much, transmuting them is so easy to do its hardly a big problem, albeit I agree with the OP.
That would make it unnecessary to buy more transmutation crystals, though.
I really don’t get the warhorn thing; they seem to have copied the warrior skill Call to Arms’ animation and its blast finisher but I don’t see why.
Sorry, but any sensible problem solver would look at the LA issue differently.
1. Why are these people here AFK? Because they can get a reward for it.
2. Why can they get a reward AFK? Because there is no participation check.
3. How do we address this?
A. Add a participation check.
or
B. Station employees in each instance to kick and suspend people “suspected” of being AFK on the spot.I know which solution I would use. I know which solution is impartial, practical, and does not rely on unsubstantiated impression. I know which solution would not create hostility, appearance of favoritism, or place my employees in an unfavorable light.
shrug.
I think they want to add a participation check of some kind or shorten the afk timer in hindsight, but don’t have the time.
- Scarlet was the one who created the steam creatures in Lornar’s.
They’re related to the asura personal story.
In the “Infinity Ball” line an alternate universe/timeline version of your character took over the world using them, and some are appearing through inter dimensional portals afaik. I never played that storyline, but I’ve seen people mention it a lot.
The topic was changed so are we to assume that they are meant to be the screams of the citizens we’re rescuing?
It’s probably a mod that wasn’t sure what the OP meant, and changed the title.
Courage could be an ice field, the virtue protects you and blasting ice fields give ice armour.
Aren’t the things coming back the ones associated with Scarlet’s forces anyway? Molten jetpack, monocle, gas mask (I heard it came back anyway, unless people just mean the land variant aqua-breather,) zealot’s recipes etc.
The only things not directly hers are the dragon coffers, but she was still related to that event.
Problem is that they look stupid. Probably eat corpses like vultures.
Us civilised races only eat live prey.
The citizen reward bags for citizen rescue in LA; I saw someone say they got some from a low tier bag, but it might only be the 5th one that can give those (as well as a variety of other items from previous LS events.)
Point 1 can easily be turned to your advantage: down a courtier and a nearby krait will slither up and take no hostile action while you kill it.
The fact that it’s censored on the forums implies that they care somewhat.
I would be greatly amused if they were introduced with a racial skill to call in an arrow barrage like the charr artillery strike.
Maybe you accidentally bought a 5g sharpening stone station recipe from a merchant after the event.
The gloves look plated as well, making it:
Cultural T3 helm and chest piece, CM shoulders (Nobleman’s,) plated gloves and boots, cultural T2 leggings with a corrupted hammer and the dragon bash holographic wings.

Try doing it in an overflow (in case they haven’t properly fixed it not working in main servers) and make sure you get at least one kill on an event enemy.
Assuming the milestone bags are notably better than pure farming, you’d still have to convince a large portion of the map to help and those that didn’t help and continued to farm would benefit from the rescues of everyone else as well as their added supply bags.
Create a thief with the subterfuge hood, use the transmutation crystal/stone to put the appearance of the hood on the stats of a basic quality white item. The hood will now be account bound instead of soul bound so you can put it in the bank and take it out with another character.
They’re from the Queen’s Jubilee release and I don’t think Black Lion weapon specialists sell them, I don’t remember if they’re tradable or not either but that would be your best bet unless they become available again.
From what I’ve heard and experienced, you need to get kill credit on at least one of the attackers for event credit and having more people just makes it harder because the mobs do more damage but most of your allies won’t be stopping them from applying it to npcs.
I believe the rally point defense events don’t occur in the main servers (ie not overflow) as a result of the maps not ending properly.
Three new armour sets added, all with obvious tail clipping.
No. The downed mechanic is their buff, along with all the torment/other conditions they can inflict on you.
The krait don’t understand proper res procedures, though. When a courtier gets downed you’ll often have a krait slither over to it to begin resurrection in the middle of a battle with no hope of succeeding (sometimes they even try for a res when someone is mid-stomp) instead of providing protection with a bubble or focusing a downed player to rally their allies. While is certainly amusing to watch those 5m+ long krait stand on end during their res animation, it doesn’t help the cause.

While strafing around spamming guardian staff #1, I have noticed a distinct discrepancy in the combat capabilities of Scarlet’s alliances.
Fighting Aetherblades I have to “watch” for thugs’ warbanners of almost insta-down, avoid static field spam, not get into melee range of any of the scaled up enemies to avoid being one-shot by half their melee attacks, chain two dodges to avoid being downed by a striker’s lightning channel and try not to get within 10m of a striker so they don’t insta-down me with a lightning whip.
Fighting Molten Alliance members I need to avoid the ground-burrowing spread-shot dredge projectiles of near insta-downing, avoid (or reflect, bearing in mind that they’re wide enough to hit me through a wall of reflection) the gunners’ tornadoes of insta-downing, avoid the blademasters in case they perform a fiery greatswordesque charge while hardly moving (that insta-downs,) be sad about constant “Immune” spam as dredge resist my blinding and protector’s place invuln circles while avoiding the fiery circles of hotness during the miasma events while frequently being dazed by gong-bashing dredge that give all hostiles permanent protection.
Fighting the Toxic Alliance I have to not stand in the pulsing aoes on the ground that do stuff like apply a bleeding or confusion stack, not stand between reflection bubbles and projectile launching allies, try not to harvest the purple plants that eventually explode and not stand next to the krait when they begin their 3 to 4 second channel for a powerful melee attack.
Being the third alliance Scarlet made I understand that all the useful races were taken already, but there must be something that can be done to make them equal to their peers. We should provide buff ideas to help make more challenging and engaging combat in all corners of Lion’s Arch.
It’s from priory missions I believe, and it has lots of defense mechanisms. Shame it isn’t playing relaxing music.
