It started at 4am in the morning for me, and while I could have gotten/stayed up to do it I decided not to because the Halloween “Do Not Miss!” event was a 20 second cutscene and the two previous Lost Shores events were just large amounts of unenjoyable lag in LA for no actual reward. This event turned out to be the single most rewarding thing in the game to-date, however, giving a chance at one of the top valued items in the game with a few gold in exotics guaranteed.
It could have been a repeatable event for a day or so, but that would obviously ruin the “experience” of having everyone lag about at once. All the people who used the forums to get into overflows with the event running were clearly the ones who missed out on the event itself and hoped to partake in it, as opposed to wanting to open the (most rewarding in-game) chest again, and again – as the event itself is what makes people remember it (like all the highly praised previous events)…
That would be the Durmand Priory greatsword, if you aren’t in the priory but have another character in it I think you could transmute its skin onto a white item and then take it from the bank on the first char.
You probably mean the medium helm from any of the temple karma vendors, available for 42k karma once a temple has been captured.
I’m pretty sure the crit chance from sigils of accuracy still doesn’t show up in the hero menu (but it works), you might want to check if the same thing applies to right hand strength (or w/e it’s called) by looking at crit chance before and after selecting it.
There’s also the sigil of perception if you want to maintain it’s stacks.
A lot of those killshots were also piercing to hit multiple targets, which used to be bugged and increase its damage as it pierces (as opposed to decreasing like auto attack or volley) and could still be that way.
I’m assuming they’re all whole numbers and no rounding is present; also, if you’re trying to be as efficient as possible the jewels in your trinkets are the most efficient source of crit damage.
There’s a chain of events for each one in order to take it, when you’re near the temple in question it’ll say what stage/status it’s at.
I think he means who’s +boon duration stat is taken into account when applying boons to someone else.
Eg. You have +60% boon duration and a further +20% for might, when you apply might on someone with +30% boon duration – do they get an 80% duration increase or 30%.
The axe autoattack chain is as follows (dmg stats from wiki):
Chop: Dmg – 252, Time – 0.25s, DPS – 1008
Double Chop: Dmg – 538 over 2 attacks, Time – Unlisted (but short), DPS – Unknown
Triple Chop: Dmg – 858 over 3 attacks, Time 1.5s, DPS – 572
What the crap? Why would I want to let triple chop ever finish if pressing ‘1’ again uses a much higher dps skill?
Here is a screenshot of the full chain hitting a heavy golem with a steady weapon, which seems to indicate that the 3rd part doesn’t have a higher skill damage multiplier or whatever the exact term is.
There is a content patch on the 15th this month, and the monthly achievement seems as if it will require things from that.
You will have an abundance of skillpoints from challenges and the fact you get one each time you refill your xp bar at lvl 80.
Give backstab a 1/1.5 sec cooldown so using blind, aegis and to a lesser extent evade is more effective at avoiding it.
Before the game launched when I was looking at possible servers, I saw mention of Crystal Desert being an unofficial LGBT server.
Try pressing against the door and moving along it, I know I discovered the poi in one of them by doing that.
In the OoW quest you’re tricking those centaurs, hence acting as if you’re “spirits of nature” and telling them you used random magic to clear the town because the humans annoy you.
Parts of sylvari cultural (and apparently TA) armour are based on your skin colour.
I’m pretty sure it’s whoever you have targeted.
In maybe 70-100 MK runs I got probably 10 (maybe a little more) sub-80 exotics, 1 or 2 lvl 80 exotics, a lvl 80 Mad King armour piece, 3 or 4 Black Lion keys, 3 or 4 Black Lion salvage kits and 2 Arachnophobias.
Luck’s gonna luck.
Is it intended for confusion to deal damage after a dodge roll if you have a trait that does something during/at the end of each roll?
This happened to me a lot in the ascent to madness dungeon on my warrior with the strength trait line’s 1st minor trait (damage nearby enemies when you dodge), where every time I dodged with confusion I’d take damage when the trait triggered (which is actually a very small amount of time after the dodge finishes).
In your second ss you’re hitting someone for 160-180 damage with your downed skill, perhaps you die so fast because you’re wearing statless paper armour?
Stronger Bowstrings has an unannounced benefit as well – it makes your auto-attacks have a 100% combo finisher for both arrows, Fan of Fire and Smoldering Arrow also become combo finishers.
- Run to centre.
- Take hammer.
- Get points for attacking the ghost.
- Become a ghost and hunt down the little people.
- Don’t forget to check the out-of-map area if you know about it.
I don’t know it’s proper name, but the chestpiece is what Lionguard wear and it’s the level 40ish karma armour (Bloadtide Coast/Dredgehaunt are places I remember it being available).
Has anyone else noticed the massive increase of receiving falling damage while walking down slight slopes/stairs after this patch?
It is particularly noticeable with a proc-on-falling-damage trait when I walk down a hill on my warrior and lose about 1/3 of my health while making 10 explosions on the way down.
Asuran walking pumpkins?
I think it’s x% per crafting level you gain, so in total it’s 10 levels.
There are npcs in-game that used to let you gamble coins with them (betting on which cow will win the race/how far will this cow get launched etc.) but they’re all temporarily unavailable right now, perhaps people were actually winning with their gambling.
I think I’ve seen mention that it means ‘male anatomy’ in French, thus is bad.
It’s a cave that contains the neutral dredge npcs in the WvW Eternal Battlegrounds, and it only contains destroyers until someone kills enough to complete the event and gain the dredge as allies (which isn’t very long at all).
If I’m following a particularly slow escort npc I will, or if I want to look awesome while using a transformation tonic in LA.
To eleborate: the event in question involves killing chicken coops before the swarm of chickens reaches critical mass, if you complete it in time the charr in question runs up and a veteran mob spawns near them. Once that is dead they will sell the rifles, but if the chicken swarm completes then you need to kill it and then 4 veteran chickens but I don’t think that will spawn the npc in question.
I know there’s an experimental rifle you can buy from a charr after completing the undead chicken swarm event in the S of Malchor’s Leap that lets you leap forward, occasionally shoot and maybe rifle butt.
Is warrior stronger bowstrings trait meant to add projectile finisher to longbow fan of fire and smoldering arrow (as well as make dual shot 100% chance)?
Posted by: Serval.6458
I noticed that despite not mentioning it at all in the description, that when I use this trait the fan of fire and smoldering arrow abilities become projectile finishers and the auto attack says it’s now a finisher instead of a 20% chance.
That’s probably what the order of whispers chest piece looks like on female charr.
Although I don’t have a ranger, are you sure it isn’t condition duration measured as a %age in your traits (with there being a condition damage stat one as well)?
All 12* orbs, and I lack an edit button.
I’m pretty sure they’re used in sequence, so you’ll just have to get all 11 sources to open all three chests.
I think they are (or can be) level 60-70ish zone completion rewards.
Ignore the semi-transparent menu, apparently my ss key was bound to that.
The thread is about other people hearing the shouts; I imagine it (as mentioned above) is because guardian shouts are all commands/instructions (retreat, hold the line, stand your ground & save yourselves) while warriors have more fitting ones for constant yelling.
I’ve heard that’s from the Superior Rune of the Noble 6 piece bonus (chance to summon a drakehound when hit) that you can get from CM runs, I imagine them not despawning/dying is a bug.
Does Retaliation make it so you don't take damage for the duration?

I don’t think it reflects the damage that they do to you; instead it does x damage to them each time they hit you, and your power increases the damage they take.
Eg. A 10k thief backstab won’t return 10k back to the thief, and will instead do as much as if they hit you with anything else.
Or so I’ve heard.
Mardine lets you place bets on how far the excess cows he has (after the defense event) will go, but it would seem as if the npcs that allowed betting have had that functionality disabled.
After all the cows are launched you should have to wait a bit then be able to use the cattlepult to launch yourself to the vista.
Bots take far too long to remove all their clothing…
When you transfer the new char’s thing onto the white item, it will still say it’s soulbound but if you put it in the bank, another char will be able to take it and transmute it/wear it.

You can also click on where it says “Team” to the left of your text and have a list of channels appear.
I am near-certain the master pick scales with your level, although that is irrelevant as I have also recently gotten some ruined things while using an Orichalcum tool.
I can’t remember if you need to be in the Hero Panel or not, but double-click/use the sigil you want and then select the dagger. It should have a popup saying you’ll destroy the current upgrade if you proceed and then you’re done.
The T2 skins are on some high-level ‘verdant’ weapons you can buy/find, some karma merchants might also sell them; T1 is low-level ‘glyphic’ things, but I doubt T3 would be available in the world.
