Right now a class’ maximum sigil counts is 4
ele and engi is 2
a class with two handed weapons is 2
and ele with two handed weapon is 1

post patch
a class with twohanded weapons is 4
ele and engi with two handed weapon is 2

one handed weapon and maximum sigils are still the same

With them constantly pushing SPVP, do you really think they are planning on implementing dueling in PVE? I dont.

It would also make no sense, marketing or business wise, for Colin to say in that interview that they definately will never implement it, which doesnt mean that its on their schedule.

spvp doesnt not work like pve, pve uses pve stat, pvp uses pvp stat, dualing in wvw with pve stats and dualing in pvp is completely different, as of right now, dualing with pve stats you have to be in enemy server in wvw.

also pvp is not dueling, but team play based, which is 5v5 with more complex mechanics. open world pvp dueling may get more people in to pvp. since open world pvp will just be casual and limited.

Thus what happened since till the HS and stance changes Wars were considered one of the bottom classes, but unlike ele they were still viable in high tier PvP because of a simple pool of free stats between armor and health.

that’s not true, before the buff, there’s a time when warrior were never in top team plays, there are teams with 2 eles, but rarely a team with one war. top warriors couldn’t find any team, warriors was straight up the worst class, voted free kill tier(never seen before) by the community and he was “worse then ranger’s bird”.

Everyone voting for ele mist form must not PvP. It’s probably the most useless of all the downed skills, maybe next to guardian knockback.

Warrior’s vengeance I think is most useful in PvP.

its the 1st step, by lowering the dps by 10%, the fight will take 10% longer, so players will take more damage during the fight, so zerker might be less tempting to certain players.

That’s not a meta condition build, because it’s only good in dueling.
and not as good comparing to same spec carrion hybrid hambow(m/s is also hybrid carrion) when dueling against certain specs.
and warrior condition build was never the meta, since it is pretty useless in team comp compare to other condition specs, if you want a more faceroll condition war spec, there is dual sword which has everything except confusion and CC, but with insane bleed up time, mobility and burst damage. why should all zerker war builds take huge nerf, just because one build is good in dueling yet not op. like i also said in the OP, if you REALLY want to nerf that spec, nerf sword offhand(which posted before they announced the sword 4 change, so gg) , not to mention they are already nerfing longbow.

i can hold a really long time as warrior vs decap.

Do not pop your stability or berserker stance at first. The first time you get controlled the Last STand trait will kick in. make sure you notice that. Once stability is off, try to dodge/blind his knockbacks, but be ready to quickly hit balanced stance if a knockback lands on you. With a little practice, you’ll be able to stun break before it gets you off the point. You’ll get immobilized now but who cares you’re on point, so use your AoEs and kill his turrets. Repeat with dolyak signet instead as your stun break, but this time also use berserker stance and since his turrets are gone, burst the hell out of him.

gg having a triple stability bd just to fight a decap engi, but still you cant rng yolo dodge that insta push back all the time. and good luck killing that engi without cleansing ire or merciless hammer while the engi probably have cc gain protection and cc – 20% income damage.

combat mobility is not running speed, warrior run faster(gs/sword only, which is not a combat setup), but mesmer have way more combat mobility. guardian has good combat mobility too (stays with the concept of sticking with the enemy), but it cant do much if it wants to disengage, or in a non-combat scenario.(which is also by design)

PvP map wise, anyone with blink will have better combat mobility and disengage.
in Battle of Kyhlo, People can blink up to mid point rooftop instantly, while it takes classes without blink atleast 30 seconds to get up there,
but if you have target required blink you can also follow your enemy instantly, i think.

.75 seconds is plenty of time to react and avoid Signet of Spite.

Funny because I still don’t know what the actual cast looks like.

That’s half the problem with condition builds. None of their attacks are properly animated or telegraphed.

The necromancer will point at you, I find it very easy to avoid unless I am immobilized or knockdowned..

It’s the same animation as the Staff auto attack. Now that’s some good tell! Anyway, no Necro cast it when the target can easily dodge. They generally do it when you are either immobilized, feared or stunned by the golem…

You won’t believe me how many necro’s I’ve faced in tpvp using the skill on first sight… only the more skilled ones (aka the people with an actual brain) will cc you before using the signet.

anyone with a tiny bit of knowledge in pvp will cc you before using the signet. only the noobiest use it on sight.

Thiefs are rly OP …. seems many ppl playing a 30/30/30/30/30 build to fully spam evade/blind/stealth/dmg/PW everytime and beeing god on earth in spvp/wvwvw mode …

Thief is UP, playing a 12 init. handicap build without stealth … only rely on evade(that do no dmg) but …. hey… other classes can do clones while dodging that attacking enemies and warriors dodge can do critdmg till 2k ……

the amount of noobiness in this comment is huge.

Because they have to survive to do damage. They don’t do enough damage fast enough to trade off for being able to be pinched and die. Berserker gives you enough damage that you can go kill or be killed condition damage doesn’t do that. Why take anything that is going to kill slower then zerker but die just as fast?

conditions can kill a squishy in seconds and kills bunker way effective then power. condition builds have so many ways to stay alive then berserker, you hit the skill and you kit and wait for it to tick. and most of the skills are easy to land, aoe. condition mes, war, thief also has defensive play on their condition skills.

Ahh my reply about opinion was directed at your post to Cogbyrn you asked him to balance conditions which implies that you think conditions are imbalanced to begin with.

I didn’t disagree with your opinion I just said that top meta as in the top tPvP teams run only 1-2 condition builds. That’s the truth not opinion.

you also said condition builds cant live longer, which is not true, but still celestial and rampagers aren’t pure condition builds, which means imho condition damage should exist in 2nd rate damage.

If you truly believe this, then you should not be included in any discussions on the meta or balance in general. Those Warrior signet changes would be terrible.

As a Warrior I do not want protection, ever. Protection is what makes it OK for Warrior to have high HP and Regen, they lack any other kind of damage mitigation in any great amount. With frequent Protection the line between Warrior and Guardian gets thinner and thinner and both classes start to lose a sense of uniqueness.

I also don’t like tying the signets in with Adrenaline level, the whole point around signets is that they’re reliable. The only Signets I’m not interested in is Might and that’s just because I can’t afford to have it on my bar. If we weren’t so dependent on other skills it might have a use but right now, nope.

Seriously, I’m normally all for debate but every suggested change you have made for Warrior has been out of touch or just bad, so please just stop. As for other classes I don’t play them enough to know what they need so I won’t comment.

Protection would make warrior so OP. and warrior doesnt lack damage mitigation, warrior lack skills that are not affected by soft CCs, a single soft CC and your mobility got cut in half, and you have to take all the damage, unlike others can position themself without caring about soft CCs.

How do you dodge a 3/4s cast?…xD besides, that’s an issue on my condition engineer. 10s weakness, if you can’t cleanse it, means you will never dodge ever again.

Dude I get my DS3 fears and my Corrupt Boons dodged regularly and those are instant cast! Practice. It’s not easy but if you do it enough times it becomes automatic.

i do agree that berserker stance is annoying, and i would love to see it nerfed

but your argument is really poor, its a 8 second skill with 60 seconds CD, it doesnt shut down an entire spec like diamond skin or automated response which have no CD.

and if you really want to say “shut down an entire spec” with berserker stance.
any invulnerability ele, mesmer have will shut down not just an entire spec, but any spec that does damage by your means.

I don’t see the point of the clone at all. Since it doesn’t do any damage I have to assume the initial intent was to try to fool the enemy. Nobody is fooled by it. The red arrow should probably go and it should spawn at the same time as the real mesmer.

If that would be too OP, then just get rid of the pointless clone.

If it was me, I’d get rid of the clone and no longer require a target to cast it. It would basically be just like thief #2 then, except you can’t control where you land, and your 3 skill can’t stop a stomp, so definitely not OP.
