We’re saying “Anet told me it’s ok to AFK just not circumvent the auto kick system by using 3pp, but they penalized me nonetheless”.
Can you quote me where you got this from. You know, for reference?
Ah! This topic again.
takes a drink
No one told me we started a drinking game. Was the word of the day “manipulation”?
And chug a beer every time JS says “no.”
Seriously though, I’ve never seen a compelling argument that making TP items account bound would be anything but devastatingly bad for this game and its players. There are of course many biases in any setting, especially a forum setting, but you know that my goal is to make the best possible game.
Bless your economics heart John. That post made my day. Now I’ll be hearing that “poof” sound each time you say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Edit – New game. Each time JS say something awesome, we need to buy Gems.

I still find it funny that there are a few people here that have spent so much effort arguing for the rights for people to stand running into a corner just to get rewards. Basically what I am reading from some people is, “Down with the man! You have no right to kick me!” Yes, yes they do and it seems they are.
My guess is some of you don’t even AFK or even spend much time in LA but as soon as you see “Anet Dev kicking AFKers,” you go into rage mode just for the sake of arguing, “Don’t tell me how to play! Down with ANET!”
That’s the last I have to say in regard to this issue, rage on.
JT, I actually love to debate these people. That’s why I prefer them to continue to complain. But really, I find part of it as a challenge of trying to get them to come up with good points to defend their positions. A healthy debate is the best kind, because those are the ones Anet listens to. Unfortunately, the main argument is “because Anet didn’t tell me I can’t”. That makes me sad, because then I win debates without effort.
With anything, there needs to be a valid point to an argument. My points are defending Anet, so mostly my argument are correct by default. If there’s something I agree with, and someone else doesn’t, they need to bring something solid to the table. Kinda like how the CDIs are. You state your idea or opinion, and also provide a reasoning for it.
I’m hopeful someone here arguing for AFKer’s rights will step up. Cheap shots and personal attacks do nothing to me, except to solidify the fact that I’m right.
Unless you make it a habit to consistently AFK the majority of a major event that you have to choose to show up to, you don’t need to worry about it if the worst you’ve done is taken an extended bathroom break.
Much ado about nothing.
These are wise words. Unless that bathroom break is 45 minutes. At that point, I would worry more about what you’ve been eating, than any in-game punishments handed down.
In those cases, Anet disabled the content, investigated, punished the “Worst” abusers and made the information known to all.
They have yet to address anything on the LA “issue”, and did in fact implement the event with no participation required. They haven’t changed that. They haven’t announced anything re AFK in LA. They have not responded to it in any official manner out of game. They have not given a rules framework.. ie.. 5 mins inactive, 10, 15, nothing. No rules to go by. As it stands now, you could participate 30 mins, take a short break… and be suspended upon the whim of whoever sees you standing still with no real investigation done.
What has happened is one.. perhaps 2 Anet employees have taken it upon themselves to “police” the event by handing out suspensions for macro use or offensive behavior, apparently on their own time and on the spot snap decisions.
But you hit on the crux of the matter for you I think. A remote chance at an item worth “hundreds of gold”. It isn’t about citizen rescues at all… is it. It’s about your bag farming, and resentment that somewhere, someone may get the item you wanted..by not playing YOUR way. That thought makes me warm and fuzzy, actually.
As far as whether Anet “intended” it… they coded it. No participation needed. A person doing a JP will get it. A person taking screenshots, exploring, doing Vistas will get it. A zerg farming champs will get it. A person only doing other activities will get it. You do not have to rescue to get rescue rewards. Seems fairly clear.. and if not “intended”, then, fixable by other means than capricious suspensions.
But you seem fine with capricious, summary, inconsistant suspensions.. because you have preordained that anyone who gets one.. is “offensive” and deserves it, no matter the circumstances. GG.
You missed the part where I said to debate whether or not Anet intended for people to be rewarded for doing nothing. Once you get away from defending the AFKers, and ask yourself that primary question, you’ll find it much harder to defend your position. Just because it’s “coded” that way, doesn’t mean it was “intended” that way. Same as saying “Anet didn’t specifically say it’s not ok, so it must be ok.” That, my friend, is a fallacy.
Now back to the GM. It’s been said that he didn’t suspend anyone for AFKing. That’s fine. Getting kicked isn’t much of a punishment, save for not being able to get rewards. If someone was suspended by mistake, Customer Support will fix it.
Thanks for the replies! Buy orders are currently around 3800g, sell listings around 5k. Would you take the buy orders or undercut the sell listings by 100-200g? Currently broke so I cant afford to list it too often.. 3800 for buy order -15% fee is kind of a waste of gold.
Wish I didnt combine it :P
It’s your call. Buy Orders are less profit for you, but guaranteed to sell. Remember, there could be someone else waiting to sell their Eternity, and can undercut you by 1 Copper if they choose.
And for the record, that person won’t be me.
Do you see any official statements regarding this issue anywhere? It’s been a week, and several bug patches have been released already. You yourself have stated that an anet employee denied any bans that occurred pertaining to being afk. So it’s working as intended, whether you like it or not. And if you continue reporting people for being afk then you’re abusing the report button.
We’re getting side tracked from the real issue. I’ll quote myself on what the real question should be:
So ask yourselves this: “If I can get a reward worth hundreds of Gold for standing around for 45 minutes, is that what Anet intended for the event?” Debate that topic, rather than trying to counter me.
Yes, don’t take too long before making a new toon. I’ve heard some horror stories from people who lost their names to someone else because they waited.
Those issues have been fixed as soon as they came to anet’s attention. There were official statements posted about it. Try harder.
But they weren’t written into the User Agreement, and were done after-the-fact.
/harder
so since it comes with the left and right skin for the eye patch does that mean i need to have 2 separate helmets to transmute them both onto?
Can you wear both at the same time?
My hope is that Colin is too busy building Cantha to have noticed this.
I think they read it. They didn’t agree with you, and that’s their prerogative. You don’t get to be the end all be all of knowledge. That’s for the devs.
Edit: also I agree with Leo, if there is a change in policy, devs need to be transparent about it.
Oh no, I agree. Anet is the final say to any and all things in game. While debating this issue, I pointed out mechanics and provided examples to support my argument. Everything I stated makes more sense than “it’s not written in the User Agreement, so it’s ok to do”.
Keep in mind many players have been perma-banned or had suspensions for abusing unintended mechanics. Cheap Karma weapons, salvaging Exotic jewels, etc. None of that was specifically stated in the rules, yet they all fall under the blanket term of “abuse” or “cheat”.
So ask yourselves this: “If I can get a reward worth hundreds of Gold for standing around for 45 minutes, is that what Anet intended for the event?” Debate that topic, rather than trying to counter me.
I have confirmed with a friend, the Terrace is lacking the Black Lion Weapons Specialist, and the Activity NPC.
Please consider the implications this has, as highlighted by the below post, instead of telling me I’m wrong.Unless ArenaNet updates the Royal Terrace to be equal to the Airship, there is currently every reason to believe that the Airship will eventually be one-upped by another convenience area, rendering the Airship obsolete, and therefore, a waste of money.
If the “ultimate convenience”, as ArenaNet called it, is not going to remain the ultimate convenience, then it is of no interest to me, and I will not be buying a pass for it.
If you buy both when they’re available, you can then have your pick of where to go. It’s not a matter of how much they go for on the Gem Store, but rather how much you value the convenience of the item’s usage.
My opinions
1) Depends on what new Legendaries come out. If better/prettier ones are released, the older ones may not have the same “awe” factor, thus possibly reducing value
2) I’ve noticed the Oceanic times are worse for selling lower end goods. For high end, that market is much smaller, so it can vary by day and time.
3) The only guaranteed price is filling a Buy Order. Otherwise, making a Sell listing opens you up for undercutting. I know this because I admit to undercutting others myself.
Well it’s a circular argument now, with a refusal to address the actual issue by the usual suspects.
It only becomes a circular argument when you don’t fully understand the mechanics of the event. Please take the time to read my posts, and you’ll be fully informed on the merits of my argument.
So here I am coming back to the game after a break of about 1 year and a half. My highest leveled character was level 40sh when I stopped playing.
I come back to check out what the game has in store and I notice that the same thing that was bothering me last year (which I forgot about in the meantime, but became increasingly frustrating when I started playing again) is still an issue in the game.
Basically, here it is: when you are solo-ing, there are no other players around in miles (low level areas are basically ghost towns from what I gather) why on earth are monsters respawning so quickly behind you?
Here I was trying to infiltrate centaur camp number #n, I pull carefully, try not to aggro multiple mobs, in order to get to the usual vista/skill challenge/chest at the end. BUT those kitten things respawn right behind me. There’s no sense of accomplishing anything, of clearing up something, of making any impact, if those centaurs respawn 1 minute after I kill them.
Not to mention the utter frustration where all my careful planning of taking that camp is destroyed by that veteran mob respawning just as I dodge back from an attack, then killing me and wasting 10 minutes of my solo experience.
I am dissapointed Arena Net, to see that this is still in the same state as I left it 1 year ago.
Again, this is when I am completely solo in the area, no other player in miles. I can’t believe it is that hard to adjust respawn rates in function of how many players are around. WoW did it 5 years ago and progressing through monster camps in that game was way-way less frustrating.
You need more DPS to kill faster. Check your equipment and traits to see how you’re set up. Pick a focus on Condition or Physical damage, and gear yourself to get the maximum benefits. The fact that mobs are respawning isn’t so much a problem of the rate of respawn, but rather the rate of killing them off.
How is it separate? If being inactive during events in LA is somehow “offensive behavior” how then is it not “offensive behavior” for all events in all zones at all times.
Here’s my quote again. Please take a read and you’ll have your answer in black and white.
The LA event’s purpose was for players to rescue citizens or to collect heirlooms trophies. By standing around and doing nothing, all while reaping max rewards, goes against what the event was meant for. This is similar to buying Rare weapons for 10 Karma a piece. Just because something can be done in game, doesn’t mean that’s the way the mechanics were designed for.
AFKing in Bloodtide, while irritating, is not the same thing. Yes there’s Elite content running on the map, but I highly doubt anyone would get kicked on purpose to make room for people. You’re not forced to join the group for Wurm runs. If you want to participate, you’re more than welcome. Otherwise, if a player wants to run around and do other things on the same map, I can’t stop them since it’s a regular Open World. There’s merchants, Karma vendors, a Trading Post, and a new refugee camp.
The clouds move!!!
Battle Standard is a blast finisher, but an upscaled Elite Thug is a nuke. Try not to have a zerg doing these events. The best strategy is to spread people out across the map.
How is it separate?
You seem to skip over the explanations, so I’ll quote myself so it’s easier for you to find.

As for the previous discussions, a player has chat logs that show GM Chris saying no one is banned for AFKing, so that pretty much clears up this argument. So if you got suspended for something, please open a Support Ticket.
This is why I Range attack and dodge often.
It is not for you to determine ANET Policy.
Chris the security head, visits our TS every now and then for runs. He’s taken his own time outside of work to clarify what’s not allowed, so I’ll PM him to ask for clarification on AFKs during events.
.
And this from the reddit thread. " Devs also do that to blatant afkers in TTS runs. Yay devs!"
So, apparently TTS has access to a dev who will remove/suspend people appearing to be AFK from instances upon request to make room for more TTS. Cozy.
To make it clear, TTS doesn’t ask for favors from the Devs who run with us. What you’re quoting is based on assumptions from a single player on the map. For all we know, the AFKer DC’d, thus allowing more people to taxi in. We may joke with Devs in map chat, but at no point has any one of them told us they kicked an AFKer.
Now kicking during the rescue event in LA, that’s completely separate.
I have a funny feeling that Jade weapons will be making a come back soon too. Either as discounted ticket or more Jade Ticket drops. Those items have been slowly increasing in value. With the game, they have every right to make adjustments as they see fit, so you can’t be mad at Colin for saying one thing, and back tracking.
The only smart investment currently is in T6 mats. New Legendary weapons and maybe even armor will cause these prices to skyrocket. I’m counting on Precursor armor forging to make some money back. That is… unless they open the flood gates, and increase T6 drop rates.
I would say backtracking / breaking promises is a bad business practices. Especially if it comes from the CEO.
Colin’s bosses are NCSoft. If they want the game to go a certain direction, that’s the way it goes. Just like with Cantha…
Qt is one of the security lead’s characters. Because he’s the authority on Anet’s rules and policies, I fully support any action he takes. But we’re all human at the end of the day. If there was a mistake made, I’m sure he’d be the first to apologize.
If I take too long of a bathroom break during an LA event (darn those tacos!), and get hit by him, I’ll simply submit a Support Ticket to ask that it be reversed. Every situation is looked at on a case by case basis.
It is not for you to determine ANET Policy.
I don’t need to determine Anet’s policy. I already understand it. If there’s someone taking advantage of a mechanic that wasn’t intended, Anet has the right to smite them. But if it helps, Chris the security head, visits our TS every now and then for runs. He’s taken his own time outside of work to clarify what’s not allowed, so I’ll PM him to ask for clarification on AFKs during events. He was there when we discovered an exploit in the Wurm, which lead to the event shutting down for a few days.
FAIRNESS AND TRANSPARENCY.
Anet does not and will not provide players with ways in which they determine cheats/hacks, explain internal policies, discuss individual punishments, debate GM decisions, etc. If a mistake is made, they will correct it. Pretty simple. Customer Support does a great job assisting legitimate problems.
You do know that abuse of the report function is Bannable?
People who abuse the reporting function can be smited as well. However, when there’s game log evidence to back it up (after a GM review), there’s nothing for me to fear. I only report people who blatantly cheat or hack. Flying in WvW? Screen cap plus exploit report. Racial slurs in map chat? Reported as well. AFKing in LA during the event? Screen cap with timestamps at different intervals, say 10 minutes, and e-mail my evidence in.
Sorry mate. Your opinion is that AFKing during the event is ok. That’s fine. My opinion is that AFKing is a cheat and is a reportable offense. But the only opinion that matter is that of Anet.
I have a funny feeling that Jade weapons will be making a come back soon too. Either as discounted ticket or more Jade Ticket drops. Those items have been slowly increasing in value. takes a drink
No one told me we started a drinking game. Was the word of the day “manipulation”?
Define the AFK policy.
AFK stands for Away From Keyboard. So if you’re AFK while an event takes place, and you get full credit for it, that’s a cheat/exploit of mechanics. Anet did not intend for players to just all stand around during a “Rescue” event. The very requirement of said “Rescue” event is that you go around saving citizens… hence the word “Rescue”.
I’m not sure why you’re so adamant with being allowed to AFK and gain max rewards. Perhaps you’ve been a victim of the mystery kick? All I know is that when Devs and GMs run with us, we respect them as we would any player. They don’t grant us favors. They don’t abuse their powers to help us. Heck, as it’s been stated, all actions are logged. So if someone were to activate the holy powers to smite AFKers taking up space on a map with a finite amount of player slots, I’m inclined to thank them by spending money on the Gem Store.
I look forward to running more events while this LS is active, and will be reporting more people standing around doing nothing. It’s within my player given rights to report these players, as is their rights to dispute any suspensions with Customer Support.
Even though i disagree with rereleasing old living story skins and minis I think in general, Anet did a good job with introducing some mat sinks (leather/dust) and rebalancing some markets (cloth), with this update.
I agree. From a non-investor standpoint, it was a great idea to bring back these items for players, and to have some mats drop from loot bags. But Anet did say some stuff wasn’t coming back, and they did anyway. That kind of stuff sticks to you, so it’s even more of a gamble to speculate on “discontinued” or “limited time” items.
You can mystic forge set 1 using set 2 right? I think that’s what people said. I really don’t see how set 1 will increase in price if that’s the case.
There are a bunch of event mini, tonics etc, and the trend is they don’t increase the price. I dont’ understand if that’s the case, why set 1 will increase in price. The only event mini that increase in price is the southsun kasmeer. But I really think that’s just people like to watch girl in bathing suit.
One of the methods was deleted, but yes you can still Forge Set 1 from Set 2. It’s all random, so while Set 2 values dropped a lot, Set 1’s drop didn’t hit as hard. As for rarity, the more mini sets they release, the larger the pool becomes for Forging. Right now, any mini thrown into Zomorros will give either Set 1 or Set 2 minis. Next time, it’ll be Set 1, 2, or 3. Then Set 1, 2, 3, or 4. Without a constant Mini Set 1 pack in the Gem Store, RNG will make it harder to get older minis.
Wait, are you saying those citizen bags are dropping limited time items that were currently no longer available? If so, wtf anet?
Disclaimer: I have no investments like Penguin had.
I didn’t have as much as others, but I’ve been losing a lot lately. Here’s the link to the rewards table. Both Monocle and Jetpack are in it.
Edit – Mini Firestorm is there too
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ultimate_Citizen%27s_Rescue_Bag
It is not your call to “be completely fine” with what other players do. It is an open zone. If a new AFK policy needs to be in place, it should be in the TOS, effect all zones and all meta events, and be equally enforced throughout the game and not driven by players looking at one aspect of a zone full of different options and goals.
Gaining rewards with no effort is equivalent to “cheating”.
User Agreement:
8. PROHIBITED AND IRREPARABLY HARMFUL ACTIVITIES CONCERNING NCSOFT
d) Use, or provide others with, any “hack,” “cheat,” “exploit” or “mod”
Even if UTC is the international standard, most Americans don’t bother, since we’re all HST, PST, MST, CST, and EST. We just add or subtract X hours from Pacific, where Anet is located. It takes a lot of effort to figure out what -8 means.
Maybe Anet can put a countdown timer on the main page for lazy people like me. Like how they did for opening day.
Indeed Minos. I vastly underestimated the farm/drop rates. Another mistake was actually seeing the price drop, but then went to sleep, thinking it wouldn’t crash so much so quickly.
I knew special dyes would come back now and then, so I shouldn’t have been surprised unique LS items would come back too. But my assumptions were based on the fact that once the LS ended, there’s no way it would return, thus the items would be exceedingly rare. Now that we see how Anet can instantly put old items back in, it changes everything. Amateur market players like myself can learn a lot from this.
Side note – I almost made a similar mistake with the Mini Wurm Head. I considered flipping 1 or 2 of those, since they only drop on kills. But then I realized how quickly the Great Wurm event would reach farm status with the Elite groups.
Edit – Jack, that makes me sad.
Edit 2 – BTW, I count potential earnings as losses as well, since I had the opportunity to sell, but sat on my hands. I do that because 90% of my Gold isn’t liquid. I keep no cash in my Guild Bank, as some other players smartly do.
(edited by Smooth Penguin.5294)
Well, it’s Supply and Demand based on the levels of each within the pot. Since there’s a finite amount in the pot, the rates at which the pots will be emptied of Gems is so high, no player in their right mind will exchange at that point. Players with Gems will benefit greatly if the scales tip that far though. Turning in 100 Gems for 15 Gold does sound yummy.
I thought about taking example from Dioclezianus: to solve the raising prices problem in the ancient roman empire, he would set from time to time the maximum price permitted to sell things.
So the same could be applied to the Gem / Gold ratio, since right now it doesn’t have much stability and it is doomed to raise even more, penalizing players who don’t want to spend money.
If the gem cap is set, let’s say, to 5 gold = 100 gems, it would still take 40g to get 800 gems, which is a reasonable price for casual players.
This cap could vary, so if Arenanet wants to set it higher in concordance with special events or new additions to the gemstore, it could vary to 10g = 100 gems for the duration of that period, and vary again once it is finished.
Periods could be at their own discretion, but I would suggest to make it around 1-2 months per variation, and the variation could be from a minimum of 1 gold to a maximum of 12g. So even if they would like to set it at higher numbers in a row, there’s still assurance that the number won’t raise.
If people want to buy things immediately, they charge the card (and they will, because most people are impatient), but those who want to use their time to farm can easily do it. On the other hand casual players can log in, run one or two paths, then log out, and little by little they will eventually reach the sum. This would be still possible now, but this suggestion, again, is to rpevent that the gold/gems ratio will raise too much and reach high scales in the future.
I’m suggesting this to make the game in accordance with the spirit of anti-farm and grind as it should be, and to avoid it to go even further in the wrong direction of cash-kitten games.
Sorry, but the current system that relies on Supply and Demand is working perfect as it is now. No changes are needed. If a Casual player would like Gems when the exchange rates are high, they can purchase them with real money.
One of my problems is that I don’t keep Excel sheets to track price trends. And I’m too lazy to use Spidy as well. I usually just look at Buy Orders now and then to see how certain item increase. Then I assume things will continue to climb until I need to liquidate my inventory.
I’m still banking on Mini Pet fighting later on. If that doesn’t pan out, I’m bound to lose a lot more money on Rare/Exotic mini investments too. Mini pet prices took a shock a while back, and I got in while prices were down. Set 1 “should” continue to increase in value slowly since they discontinued the Mini Pack Set 1. That’s one less way to obtain them, but you never know.
On the live servers, special Dev abilities (like immortality or teleportation) are limited to GMs, and all dev commands are logged and reviewed to make sure no one is abusing the system. The integrity of our live servers is very important to us.
It’s a shame Chris can’t use the immortality to help us kite a Wurm into the wall. Darn these morals! :P
But yeah, I’m very glad the GMs take the time to kick AFK leechers. I would go as far as calling them exploiters, since they’re abusing an in game mechanic that supposed to reward for rescue participation. Getting full credit for 1200+ rescue rewards while AFK is like buying Rare weapons for 10 Karma.
Over react much? AFK has been a part of every open meta, and never addressed until now, since it is perceived to be effecting Farmfest 2014. It has been an issue since launch and ignored. Some people are doing what they have done, with impunity, for more than a year. Now it’s an enforceable issue? Cuz bags?
Calm the rhetoric. I’d rather see 5 afks at the port in then deal with dumb zergs scaling every escort to champ level and ignoring civs.
Not sure you understand what’s going on here. When we do mass guild runs, each one of us is putting in efforts to help the server we guest to get the 1200+ loot drops. Even if there’s only 5 AFKers, each of those AFK players reap the benefits of our hard work. I’m completely fine with newbie players only doing what they can to help, since they’re actually doing something. But to let a character sit for 45 minutes and benefit for free, my opinion is that’s close to an exploit in the mechanics. But I’m sure it would be difficult for Anet to alter the way loot is rewarded without causing problems.
The thing is, smart investors diversify their portfolio to prevent meltdowns like this. I don’t have time to invest in thousands of low end items with an ROI of a few copper per. It was easier to put faith into single items with high values, since it allowed for profits without mass flipping. Even though we were warned that old items would be offered again, I assumed (big mistake) that they’d be as rare as Precursor on the loot table. But add to that how volatile the market is for these rare niche items, having only ~10 drop out of thousands of bags crashed the prices.
Lesson learned. I’ll no longer be playing in those markets anymore. Hoarding items that only rich players will buy was one of my worst investment ideas. That doesn’t even come close to my losses in Gossamer…
It’s more important for them to build Cantha, than to focus on converting the game to any Xbox or PS console.
Well, most times people here only talk about making money, or complain about people making too much money. Today, I’d like to “flip” that around (pun intended). I think it’s about time to show examples of how the price of certain goods can crash in the blink of an eye.
Everyone here probably already knows about the Ultimate Citizen’s Rescue Bag. There are a couple of things that happened that shocked the market of rare items. 1) Anet lowered the rescue requirement from 1500 to 1200, making it far easier to get. 2) So many people are getting the high-end loot bags, that really rare, discontinued items are dropping more frequently.
How does this affect the market? I’ll use my own personal example. I’ve lost hundreds of Gold from holding onto the Monocle headpieces. Something that was uber rare, and not dropping anymore, tanked from 600+ Gold per, to less than 150 Gold within the span of a few hours while I was asleep. Same thing happened with the Jetpack skin.
So if you think we market players are living large and are untouchable, think again. The bigger risks you take, the more you have to lose. If there were a Tyrian welfare line, I’d be standing in it right now…

Isn’t Pacific Standard Time a part of UTC?
The cost to craft this is so disproportionate just from 1 ingredient:
Armorsmith: 15 Deldrimor Steel Ingot ~ 7g each on TP
Leatherworker: 15 Elonian Leather Square ~ 4g each on TP
Tailor: 15 Bolt of Damask ~ 13g each on TP = 195g????Even to craft it from bottom up, you’ll find that for Bolt of Damask, you need Spool of Silk Weaving Thread, which requires 4500 Silk Scrap???
ANet, please explain?
You have a couple of things you need to realize from your post.
1) Players are the ones who determine the value of Elonian Leather and Bolts of Damask.
2) There’s nothing wrong with the ingredients. You have the option of crafting your own, and/or buying from the TP. There’s plenty of opportunity to get enough mats for multiple Blades.

“By Ogden’s Hammer! What savings… thanks to Evon’s very reasonable prices on the Gem Store!”
He even gave everyone a free Mini-Set 2 pack. Such a generous charr that Evon is. Even the most anti-charr human would agree.
Every skill should be more realistic. If I’m in WvW, and we cast a Meteor Shower on an area, everyone should get hit, friend or foe.
The guy killed an Elder Dragon. The least Anet could do for him was to offer some vacation time.
Well then, I wasn’t made aware of this because I have 4 soul bound gathering tools on two different characters that I was never refunded for.
I suggest submitting a ticket to request a refund for 3 of the duplicates you don’t need. But first, go see one of the Black Lion Trading agents (forgot which one) to convert a single tool into an Account Bound one.
It’s the price you pay for convenience. I think these items are great for someone who can afford to share these buffs with friends who can’t afford to stock up on individual items themselves. In the long run, the mat requirements are well balanced.
