History between BG and SoR and Ex-SoS guilds transferring to BG who were strong rivals to JQ is why BG gets focused. BG did it to itself.

And don’t expect anything to change anytime soon. The community has shown that when things get hard, people use Gems to transfer.

Spot on, I think BG has proven itself to be a great server that many wanted to transfer to.

Episodes like the BG trolls in JQ LA and other events that may or may not have been the work of BG members but certainly benefited them, have left many with a few bad impressions, but its certainly not reflective of the whole server.

And I would go so far as to say I wouldn’t expect that kind of Dogma was from the BG originals who care about their server and what it represents, BG is a better server without those types of people.

In all seriousness submit a ticket. We don’t know the exact process they go through to delete a guild due to its name. It may be at the whim of one person.

Why is there a 2 v 1?

Ex-SoS guilds transferred stating they wanted to compete with JQ, so JQ competed. Previous history and numerous BG members baiting SoR members with a generic “haha were gonna beat ya”, SoR don’t like to be beaten.

If you’ve followed these posts you’d know that TW from SoR don’t miss an opportunity to say “We have JQ garrison nah nah”. But largely other SoR guilds and JQ ignore them so it doesn’t go anywhere.

So if anything, BG put itself in a position to compete with 2 servers.

That’s of course if it’s actually true.

I could be buying into the ENDLESS posts that claim this 2 v 1. The reality is the same posts will exist when a new server is in tier 1.

Oh wait, now that I think about it…

Just popped in because I was surprised to see such a close game!? Did TC get some new players? Just wondering how you went from being tier 2/3 to being a tier 1 contender!

I find the ‘join squad’ option doesn’t work if I do it via the map. I’ve found I had select their actual toon and right click to join squad.

Now that I think about it, that’s actually a good metaphor for the current commander system =.=

The problem is that WvW is more complex and pushing the server limits due to large amount of people in one small area interacting with each other and the enviroment at any given time. To make a story short culling, skill lag have ensued and that takes alot of resources to address because it is rooted into the game engine and related to the hardware as well.

PVE: Mad King, Lost Shores, Wintersday etc etc

That was the assessment at the 6 month mark, next will be one year, but it takes time because WvW is complicated…

It’s propaganda, they’re not going to say “haha, you got us, WvW is not a priority”.

Isn’t it obvious guys, come on, WvW is a money sink for ANet they don’t want to invest more money into it.

They have long neglected it because their focus is else where; PvE, sPvP.

As the WvW community we’ve struggle to try and get them to implement fair and useful things that seem relatively obvious and straight forward, like a good commander system, which we still don’t have.
Trying to set up a system to detect information that happens client side….

Seems a good time to bring this post forward.

Shameful week, absolutely shameful.

I’m usually a little more reserved but I have to say I’m disgusted with what has been happening this week as has been mentioned. It’s griefing and it makes a fun WvW less so.

Get details of the people doing it and submit a ticket to ANet support, provide as much detail as possible. We have been told they will act on this.

Shameful people will always act in lesser ways, its the people that harbour these people that make the real difference. Don’t let your server stand for terrorism, look it up, because thats what it is

I would <3 to see GvG in a more structured way in WvW, like an arena setting where people from different servers could go and literally take their toon to watch.

Pure GvG would get boring except for the most dedicated. I’d <3 to see GvG incorporated into WvW without distracting (to much) from the current match up, big ask I know.

Tbh prior to BG coming to tier 1 the tier 1 thread had settled down. It was only during the SoS implosion and subsequent fall out that this thread was comparatively toxic. At that time once the SoS remainders had accepted their fate and others had moved on, it was much more settled.

The idea of the legendary weapon was that (as the name implies, being legendary), you achieved many aspects of being competent within GW2, not just the parts you like. If you don’t like the requirements, don’t get it.

In any event you’re recommendations are not robust and show little insight into WvW. Olba has rebuffed you’re recommendations correctly and accurately.

I agree with this to and have accidentally sold weapons this way. Admittedly this was just after launch, but the possibility is still there.

There were some big expectations of the new BG, especially after many used GEMS to transfer. I have no doubt many pushed hard and fast last week and while burnout is a factor it’s not the deciding one.

In any event, call me on this later and I will happily eat my words but I don’t believe BG will get better from here. Using SoS as an example, if a certain % are not guaranteed a win with a degree of work required then their likelihood to perform will be much less.

With respect to the BG originals, I’m sure you give 110% each week and I admire the community you have formed, it made many people want to join your server.

Zerging is an effective tool, that’s why people do it. And it IS because of ANet because its their game and they effectively create the environment that dictates whether zerging is effective or not.
