Hi All
How exactly does On Swap Weapon sigils work with legends.
I read that they proc on legend swap AS WELL as on weapon swap?
To be honest i havent been paying attention to them and ive been mostly playing DH and Scrapper for about 90% of my recent matches.
So for example if i have sigils of Leeching and Hyrdromancy on my staff and currently using my staff. If i swap legends will the sigils proc even if im still wielding the weapon?
Or will they proc if im wielding my sword/shield and then swap legends?

1. Remove the 3 fall traps around points A and C
2. Reduce the damage of Skyhammer or increase CD or a bit of both.
3. Increase the area around Skyhammer so its not as easy to get Feared off or pushed off.
4. Fix the jumping pads and make them like in the Mushrooms in HoT so you land on the target platform.

Seeing that Power Revs are weak to condis and with so many necros around, which build would you recommend and what strategy?
I was thinking invocation instead of retribution and then using sigil of generosity and sigil of purity.
Which Runes would you say? Lyssa ?
I specifically want a power build not a condi rev build in this post please.

I tried a couple of matches (unranked since i was testing) on Condi and then Power. My rotations really sucked on condi or i was just unlucky in that i got focused a lot. Anyway i died a lot on condi rev. On power rev since i know it better i did a lot better. Didnt die and got some nice kills.
I need to practice more on condi rev i guess. Any tips Rym or should i just go with what metabattle said (i used the rotations listed in metabattle)

I use pack at the moment but have also used Dragonhunter in the past. Havent really tried Trapper runes.

Was he in your Party before you Queued? If so then you will lose a pip. If he was in your “team” but not partied up with you then you should not lose a pip.

HI i mostly SoloQ and play DH, Scrapper and Power Rev.
Ive been playing Power Rev but with all the necros around does anyone play or think Condi Rev might be better?

+1 I agree the option should be there. Many pugs probably wont use it but for some it would be very useful to counter the premade Teamspeak teams.
And for the person who said players would argue on voice chat. I’d rather they argue on voice than waste time typing it out,

1. Nerf elite specs and revenant down to core level.
2. Remove silly power creep in the base (e.g. necro scepter boon corrupt)
3. Split the PvP amulets into multiple items and allow players to mix and match stats
I agree with the 3 above
4. Dont allow class changes after ranked map loads (use Class based MMR)
5. No class stacking (max 2 per class)

i messed around with a Burning DH last night using LB Scepter/Torch with heal trap, purging flames, judges intervention, procession of blades and the Dragon Maw elite.
Was just testing it and it did suprise a few people, dropping them quite fast before they even knew that i was condi (well hybrid since i was using Mercenary Amulet and Balthazar runes plus sigil of smoldering)
Super slow movement speed like most guardians but was interesting. Power DH is probably still better (well it is meta for a reason) but so many people expect you to be power DH that the suprise factor is a novelty.
In order to boost the burning procs i did take supreme justice and permeating wrath with works really well with LB#5 and the Procession of Blades trap in a team fight.
not sure i would recommend it over power DH though.

The biggest problem I have been facing this season (and the end of last season) was the change they made to how matchmaking works for groups across different divisions. I understand Anet probably did what they did to prevent abuse,
The abuse was rampant with ruby/diamond player teaming with an amber to get much easier match ups. Most often it was a diamond player on an alt account also.

i shake my head every time i hear people (regardless of class) saying i can 1v1 anyone in sPvP.
Its a 5v5 game.
Ive lost count where someone has said in map chat “lol i beat you 1v1” after they lost the game 500/200 (and this was even before this lopsided MM system we have in season 2)

We have multiple threads where the same person played ranked on 2 different accounts and got wildly different win/loss streaks. Now unless that player is a schizophrenic, there is obviously something wrong with the system.

But let me play devil’s advocate. Im not sure the ruby guys on your enemy team will be happy to see on the opposing team if they widen the MM range to reduce your queue times.

DH is a low skill floor class that is highly effective against noobs. Which is probably why its so common in the lower tiers. Guardian was my main and i still play DH sometimes in PvP, but my preferred class has been Scrapper since Season 1.

Why not have the match making system pick the 2 teams like its currently doing, then just give the pip to the team with the higher MMR and take a pip from the lower MMR team. This way we avoid the completely unneccessary part of actually having to play the match.

Foefire map has the best chance of a comeback as i wrote above and should not have the option of early end.

Comebacks are def possible, more so on Legacy map where the lord kill gives 150 pts but lets be honest on other maps if enemy team has 300 pts and you have less than 100, its highly unlikely that you could catch up. You need to cap and hold 2 pts for the rest of the match while making sure you kill them at least as much as they kill you. That is unlikely to happen unless the enemy team has a DC or other such tech issue since if they were good enough to get a 200 pt lead on you its not very likely that suddenly you will be able to hold 2 caps for the rest of the match.
Having said that i’m still not sure i would want to end a game still if i felt i was getting good fights in and learning.

I would interested in hearing an answer from the more experienced revs here also. My damage numbers per match are around the same as yours…between 250-350k per match. I dunno how to get it higher.

I used glint/mallyx over the weekend for a few matches….it was ok….works nice in team fights with the AOE torment etc. But i wasnt too impressed with my total damage stats.
Pros: nice uptime on resistance. Good aoe condis, team boon support.
Cons: obviously lower power based damage. lower mobility, Weak against organised teams that have good condi clearing.
I liked playing it but need to play more matches to have a better review.

screw the ESL, screw the elite, screw the rank farmers. honestly im not impressed watching esports meta garbage. . screw MMR, take a little bit of advice, play with friends, make some friends, win or lose, its all about how did u enjoy ur match. some of the best matches i have ever had win or lose, was playing with good ppl, and against good ppl.
when u solo que, you have the option to just run amuck and YOLO with no communication. or u can say hi, and try to talk strategy. take the lead if noone else will, and try.. wont always work, but sometime it does and you will meet some nice ppl.

100% agree with this. I have so much fun when i play with guildies (duo or triple queue sometimes)…(note: we very rarely use TS) but its fun because we know how we play and can anticipate each other to a certain degree.
When solo queuing i totally agree with trying to take the lead/initiative if no one else is. Many times we have made a difference in Temple map simply because i would say in Team chat “Tranquility in 30 seconds. Please help”.
On another note OP, you said you get inspired when you see a “pro” team mate play well. Why not be the “pro” team mate to your “noob” team and inspire them to play better?

This season is better than Season 1 BUT Anet should have RESET everyone’s MMR.
Carrying over MMR from season 1 when we all know Season 1 was terrible was a bad idea. Many cr*p players had incorrect MMR in season 1 from manipulating their MMR and/or teaming with much better players and getting carried up divisions.
I know some decent pvp’ers who have had very different experiences. One has had a very low win/loss ratio and another has had a huge win streak. I know both very well and their skill differences are no where near that big.

The phrase “Better to be lucky than good”
if you get lucky in your initial games (team mates, DC’s on enemy team, whatever), then you MMR will increase and you will get progressively better team mates. Which snowballs to the (pros wreck noobs).
Conversely if you are unlucky in your initial games. (your team mates DC or you get internet lag or simply get enemy teams with voice comms), you will get matched with progressively worse team mates. Now you will get wrecked more.

And at the dude above you, it wont the amount of afk’er because you get harshly punish everytime you afk. If one of your teammates doesn’t contribute in the gane report him bitting; I still wish ANet had an afk/not contribution to the game in their report section.
Do you know of anyone that has ever been banned or punished for going AFK? Ive read countless posts on here about people saying they reported AFKers for botting. Not a single ANET employee has responded to those threads. (afaik, havent checked those threads lately)

This is an issue in pug teams. In guild or premade everyone fights to the end but you cannot know what a pug member will do. They get all whiny and rage when they see a failed push…. And as another poster above mentioned once one team mate goes AFK and you are already behind its virtually impossible to win.
This is will almost definitely increase the number of rage AFKers
