If so, while you may be laughing, you’ll have to put in the time and effort to complete the puzzle. Not everyone learns at the same rate, and while you’re no prodigy you are human and are capable of overcoming challenges. I mean unless you’re actually a cat in which case disregard prior comment.
Now i wouldn’t at all be against the snowglobe being a sell-able item that was given every 10 or 20 runs….. I’d love to make more money for minimal effort

Not all updates have come at 9am. In fact many more have come out just passed noon pst or even later.

What is getting to me is the grind.
Nothing really holds my interest and the only thing of value is still gold. Even if it’s less valuable than before.
What this means for me is log in, acquire mats, sell mats, log off.
The event’s just don’t even come close to cutting it as far as being rewarding. Too much variable RNG, not enough certainty, and lets not even begin to discuss why map currency is acquired more from killing things than doing meta events…….
Then there’s timer wars 2, the real game. Every map’s cycle is far too long. This was a concern in beta weekend 1/2 and it’s still a problem now. I’ve done my fair share of pushing meta’s but frankly, there’s no reward for it.
I would love to see this addressed, until then see daily schedule above and that’s about all i do now. Maybe wintersday will help, maybe it wont.

The point is valid, T6 mats are moving toward becoming trash loot.
Creating a fake scarcity is not the way to fix them being trash. Creating more avenue’s for usage is the right way to go about fixing the issue. The only reason blood and charged loadstone have any value is their relative usefulness compared to other materials.
You get a stupid amount of them for just killing things. Sure there’s other ways but killing is the most effective. Each nuhoch bag can contain anywhere from 5-150 ley line crystals.
I haven’t had to farm the meta’s and im sitting at around 5k ley line crystals.

That doesnt change why people aren’t doing them.
If they want to play this non-sense economy reason, they need to incentivize all aspects of the game.
Simplest way of doing that is raw gold, which we know isnt going to happen.
The other option which is a much nicer fix is have them give out a select-able box of materials per the level range of the dungeon. With level 80 dungeons giving the choice for things needed for ascended crafting.
But i’m no dev, so there might be a reason why they don’t want people to feel like they are earning progression through content and eventually being able to raid with others /shrug.
You mean i wasn’t supposed to have nearly a full stack prior to HoT ?

i think the biggest problem with the hall in LP is it’s to vertical, with no second floor to allow for more of a social atmosphere. Instead it feels like its cramming everyone gathering there into a 4×6 room and saying now you get to know your neighbor really intimately, even if they don’t want you to know them.
Some will disappear based on the time of day. I.E if it’s daytime there’s a lot less updrafts in the canopy than at night.
Devalues actually playing the game and earning specializations.
Not a fan of buying your way to anything. You play the game to play the game, not pay the game.
Personally, i don’t understand why there’s a pay to unlock in place to begin with as it goes against PvP’s core foundation of letting everyone be on an even playing field from the moment a character is created.
It’s rather mind boggling to see how drastically wrong the system has gone. Hopefully, if they want to be considered a real e-sport they will fix this and make the reward tracks the only thing gated by gold going forward.

I don’t really think gear/food matter. The fewer people are downed, the faster the kill.
Food and Gear can help, but it’s not the end all be all. The game is a testament to player skill and knowledge being more valuable than a simple food/gear check.
It almost makes you wonder if it would just be easier to have a bot copy/paste every dev post from there into a thread on the forums ….. /shrug

Blood is used by way too many things. From berserker gear to a whole lot of exotic mystic forge recipes for skins. Any little increase in demand will spike it.
As well as spiking the price for t5 blood, which people are apparently buying now to promote to t6.
The reason for T5 going up is the new legendary gifts.

At the minimum, if Anet refuses to do this type of change, at least REMOVE SCAR’s cannon entirely.
Or just change the scar lanes thumper turret to something meaningful like
.5% damage per tick of thumper turret to Gerent (per stage reached).

my first reaction when doing the mission was, oh i so hope there’s an achievement for going HAM.
My delight when there was one made me happy to replay that mission and get it.

Unfortunately they are tied to RNG.
It would be nice if the Raid Statues, actually required full Guild groups and were dropped at a decent rate. Once collected multiple times you could even have them work with scribing to combine them and create your own guild version of HoM.

I know this came up before with the quad ele comp. Happened again today with the 3x Rev comp.
The double bunker mes/double rev comp is equally as bad and overall boring to watch. This really doesn’t showcase good player skill so much as abuse of broken mechanics to lower the disparity in player skill.
Also, seeing this is the exact reason why balance patches need to occur more than quarterly.

I have a really simple solution for everyone suffering from timer depression.
Grab yourself some tape and a piece of paper of your choosing. Tape said paper over said timer.
Look the timer, is gone and you can stop worrying about it.
Stop looking at the timer and start looking at the fight, and you’ll improve exponentially.

Add in dungeon vanquishing, as a selectable route (alternative to explorable) that makes you clear all paths and mobs before being rewarded would give gold relative to the scale of the dungeon ex AC vanquish 1.5g with a full Arah being around 10g.

You keep using inflation for justification for having a product that has no real attraction value and you’ll notice that the only thing being deflated is the player base.
I still haven’t heard any counter argument to inflation.
If players get more gold across the board, inflation will make prices rise, and no one will be better off.
Are they disadvantaging dungeons? Sure, because they want to shift to fractals.
Have they increased fractal rewards even though they stated they would (direct gold and drops)? No. This has to be corrected.
If you want dungeons buffed, the most sensible way is to think of rewards that are NOT tied to liquid (direct) gold rewards and asking for those. Hence my suggestion to make them more appealing for the collection achievement while at the same time providing more materials for the TP (all via higher token rewards). The one thing most of us can expect, is arenanet not to give gold back to dungeons. The content is dead. If you think they’ll let people speedrun dungeons for gold rewards again, you are deluding yourself.

While what they have done is promote a “healthier” economy all they have done is annoy players by shifting the gameplay from things they enjoy to facets they don’t. That doesn’t solve or deflate the economy. It causes an exodus of players which only distorts any real shifts that could be healthy for the economy as a whole.
As i stated, at some point virtual gold be kitten ed. If people don’t play the game because it’s become a product they don’t enjoy due to forced economic policies, then ANET doesn’t get paid. That is the bottom line here. Player happiness will ultimately drive the economy much like it does in the real world. When people have excess money to spend they are more likely to do so, when they don’t they become frugal and are less likely to give away what little excess they have on a product they do not like or support (unless there is some outstanding reason, medical, lack of choice etc…).
Maybe later down the line.
Though for the life of me i cannot see them doing it without fixing siphons up to be a tad bit better, or fixing some scaling on skills that heal (outside of primary heals).

Only if you believe a virtual economy needs to be as heavily regulated as the real one.
If not then you’ll have less manipulation from the “legislators” if you will and have a more lazzie faire economic condition which is actually favorable for virtual economies as the entire design is supposed to be sustaining the product around entertainment value not around a gold standard.
The problem with having a standard like that in the first place is it drastically limits if not removes viable routes for fun and rewarding content due to some person having to find a fixed value they deem to be not detrimental. The equilibrium of such a thing occurring is pretty much impossible to achieve as the objectives are in direct opposition to each other (Unless you’re an economist). I think i can safely say that’s not the case for the vast majority of the player base. Very few people actually play the game to play the market. One could say it’s even fewer than those that play the game for “Raids” and we can already see how much heat “Raiders/Raiding” gets for its minimal impact in the game.

People are just….. you can do this for like a week and then have funds to craft your ascended armor, is not forever lol. Listen this is just an idea to help people struggling with gold to craft ascended and join raids and kitten, for kitten sake.
I think you’re missing my point. I get you can do this. The sad fact that you have to go out of your way to do it, is the problem.
It’s great you’re attempting to help people, but what people really want is an involved gameplay session, not one that feels like a second job.
I feel like most “bad mmo players” don’t change their keybinds and don’t own a highend mouse that has extra buttons.

The word elitist much, like the word toxic seems to have lost all meaning.
It’s actually quite ironic that the ones that uses these terms though are often the root of the issue and are quick to label others, but not willing to learn, adapt, or question their own mistakes and assume that they are golden and that they can be doing no wrong.
50/50 for PvP is par for the course. Just wait for the matchmaking fixes and you should see better matches.
PvE/Fractals – Just do it. It may look frightening but if you never try, you’ll never improve.
Raids – They will still be there 6/9/12/24 months from now and may have even had bug fixes and balance passes. Guides will be out as well, so as long as you and 9 other people can somewhat organize you’ll be able to do this in time.
They are trying to softly give you a hint…..

Because most thieves are a liability. Also, why would you take a thief when you cant take something with near equivalent damage, greater durability and significantly higher group utility that wears heavy armor making them less likely to be the bosses new carpet ?
They will prioritize the target with the highest toughness, even if the margin is only 1 toughness.

This is the core problem when you have an Economist directing things behind the scenes.

PPT is 40% why WvW died. The other 60% was HoT and pre-HoT decisions.
I thought they said they scrapped the idea of Fractal Leaderboards tying into the Legendary backpiece.
