You people have twisted my thread into: “this fight is too hard/easy”, when my main gripe with it was overuse of CC’s and being disappointed by the increasing trend of its use in the game in general.

But w/ever.

Doing the new event in Iron Marches, my character was trapped inside the vine. I’m fighting for my life then suddenly she pops out but is suspended in the air and can’t move.

A minute or so later, I’m still struggling to free myself then a double appears but still can’t move, a short while later, they both go poof! and i’m thinking wtf lol.

Plus, since you only get one Pile of Phantasmal Residue (from either Rox or the end reward box for clearing the story the first time around), you can only make one.

No you can get more than one. I got a second one off Rox when I spoke to her when I was doing the achievements in that instance.

Hmm dunno, i’ve only got 1 so far after finishing it with 3 chars.

As the title says, give us a choice of reward instead having to take the mysterious seed and other back pack components. I have 9 chars, what am i gonna do with all that stuff? I have no intentions of making 9 backpacks.

Thank you.

Joking aside, you have 7 “lives” to defeat this boss before your armor breaks. Look, OP. If you’re having that rough a time, and you still can’t defeat this boss after trying 7 times in a single instance, then PM me ingame and we can do the instance together. I can give you a few helpful tips.

Again, I know exactly what i’m supposed to do, if only the game would let me do it. But thanks for the offer.

You can criticise and put me down as much as you like, I don’t really care. I don’t have to prove myself to any of you or justify my playstyle, but you’re missing my point.

I’m not saying this boss is difficult, the only difficulty here has been artificially inflated, by spamming you with CC’s. Like LordOverload says, I play games to have fun and being constantly treated like a football in this game is extremely disrespectful of the player and not fun at all.

I really thought Anet learnt from Orr about taking it easy on CC’s and they seem to as they reduced it there, but in the past year or so, they’ve returned to CC mentality with a vengeance and I really, really hate it. It does not represent fun or challenging gameplay at all, just extreme annoyance.

Edit: I had a friend help me out and it was much easier with the 2 of us but it shouldn’t be required.

Story/Lore is accessible by reading books.
You’re supposed to be a hero, someone who knows how to do things, and knows how to fight.
Otherwise Rytlock would probably just get a villager to do the work instead of you.

A game without a challenge is an extremely boring game.

It’s hard to feel heroic when you’re treated like a football. There’s nothing heroic about that, nor challenging, just annoying.

I don’t know if this fight has been buffed or it’s bugged or what, but i cannot do it on my mesmer. I’ve already completed this on the first day on my ranger, it didn’t seem too bad, even with trying to figure out what i had to do and did it in a reasonable time. But today, I spent an hour or more with my mesmer trying and finally gave up in frustration

The ghosts that feed Barradin just keep spawning. No sooner had i killed one, then trying to get in range of the statue do dmg it, i get this annoying , repetitive (like a scratched record) message from Rytlock to stop him again, while he just stands there doing nothing.

My clones are useless, constantly being cc’d just as I am, so even when i try to shatter them on the ghost, they cannot reach him in time as they’ve been slowed down by endless freeze and what not.

Meanwhile i have 2 useless npc’s that can’t kill even one ghost between them that are crippling me and setting me on fire, while I’m trying to intercept these mindless ghosts.

How is this challenging? Turning my character into a football, that’s constantly and I mean constantly being bombarded with cc’s. Knocked down every few seconds by a stupid orb that spawns under me just as I’m about to cast a skill, interruping me and if that isn’t enough, add fear turrets all over the room (of all things, which btw i don’t remember seeing the first time i did this) that keep fearing me into walls and getting me stuck there.

But wait, there’s more. How about we get the statue to knock you down every few seconds as well, hit u with a freeze that reaches all the way where the ghost spawns right across the room and completely disable your skills along the way!

Still not enough though, so why don’t we add falling ceiling all over the room and get that to knock them down as well. Surely all these things combined, will make it next to impossible to intercept the feeding ghost, which then reaches the statue, feeds it and heals it, prolonging the whole encounter beyond joke.

This fight as it stands now is worse even than Fort Salma and that was a lot of garbage! But hey, congrats, you’ve succeeded in frustrating me to a point where I’ve abandoned the quest and I never do that before and for that, you can pat yourselves on the back.

Really, really disappointed.

Why is everything a Clock-Race in GW2?

Tiger Ashante.1792

Unpredictable events hinder organization and coordination. Random world events may be more immersive when you are exploring the world, but in the long run they inhibit the formation and growth of a community.

Putting major world events on a predictable schedule has done wonders for the game; instead of a new zone with people wandering around on their own, there’s usually some amount of organization taking place – at least a pin running between events farming. Even that is huge for pulling people into the game and getting them to stick with it.

I think I’ve already stated that I understand and do agree that some things have to be on timers, certainly any events of note etc, but for some reason having the dust storm being timed just put me off. To me, dust storm shouldn’t have been part of the event at all, but w/ever.

In a game, not everything should be timed, this is not real world. I mean are we playing a fantasy game or not? There should be some balance here, some unexpected stuff or else everything becomes a clock-race, just like in real life. When i play i game, i like to get lost in it, but i’m finding myself (despite myself) rushing against the clock just like everyone else making me feel like I’m participating in some kind of a real life race rather than playing a game.

[SUGGESTION] Improve Party Kick System

Here’s how u can fix it. The person who creates the group is the party leader, full stop. That leader is marked somehow in the group for eg: has an asterisk against his portrait so everyone knows who the leader is. The only person who has the right to kick anyone is the leader. if you don’t like the leader then leave the group. If the leader gets dc.d the leadership automatically goes to the next most senior player in the group, ie: one that got invited first by the leader.

Since the abuse of kicking people at the final boss battles seems rife in this game, the party leader cannot kick anyone during the boss fight and till everyone loots their chest. Simple isn’kitten

You are being constructive at least, but this is quite possibly the worst solution you could come up with, since this allows the party leader to kick everyone at any time he pleases, only to proceed with other people as he pleases.

A system like this would be even more open to abuse than the current one.

Strange u think that, coz i play other games that have had this type of system in for years and i’ve played tons of dungeons in those games, yet i’ve never, ever experienced what ur describing. Perhaps it’s what the player base has become in this game. In these other games i play, I always got the sense that the leader felt responsible for the group with some pride and took that position seriously.

But I know exactly what it feels like. I’ve experienced a sort of being kicked way back when as a result of the group leader leaving b4 everyone collected their chest and hence everyone being kicked out of the dungeon b4 getting their reward. I imagine being grief kicked would be even worse.

Since those incidences that happened to me, i’ve heard of many nasty ones and a bad culture being developed in dungeons in gw2 sadly. But I for one will not be playing the dungeons in this game until they fix the problem. tbh, i can live without the b/s.

You guys are missing my point, why put a sandstorm as an event in the first place? Why wasn’t it made to be a weather feature of the area, that occurred randomly and surprised you, rather than oh, the sandstorm’s gonna hit in 5 minutes, just like it does every hour of the day!

But i’m not talking just about sandstorm, it’s everything. Everything is becoming a clock race in gw2. It’s totally breaking my immersion in the game. The randomness of anything is gone it seems.

It’s a game. Lots of things in games don’t make sense. Why can I rez everyone except characters who die dramatically in the PS? Why do I heal super fast as soon as I leave combat. If you’re waiting for stuff in games to make logical sense. then I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s not the same sandstorm. The wind picks up periodically and it blows uncovering chests.

Have you ever done a dungeon in the game? When you go into the dungeon again, why does it have the same creatures and bosses you’ve already killed. Just think of it like a dungeon. Every periodically it’s like starting the dungeon again, giving you a chance to reach tier 5.

I get what you’re saying, i guess i was hoping for something more and when it wasn’t what i thought it would be, it left me disappointed, that’s all.

The kick function is fine – if people don’t want to play with you it’s their right to do so.

If you don’t want to lose the time you’ve invested in content then be the instance opener and all your troubles are fixed.

Ideally – play with guildies or people you know.

If people don’t want to play with you its their right, where I 100% agree with you on this, its no ok to USE someone to get threw a high level fractal or do a dungeon, then decide on the final boss you don’t want to play with them no longer, and kick them out, then sell the path/fractal or get a buddy who has just logged on in,

Sadly as broken as it is, I don’t know how they can fix it, clearly when they designed this feature and it was “tested” everyone on the dev team got along, and they just imagined that everyone in game will get along.

Here’s how u can fix it. The person who creates the group is the party leader, full stop. Heh, all you guys saying i’ve done 2000 hrs and 2500 hours and no precursor, try me, I’ve done about 6000 hours and no precursor or anything of significance.

I ended up buying mine. I realised i would probably never get one. I was at the Southsun Karka event back in September and i was one of those who got kicked just b4 the boss died and missed out on the precursor chest. I got rewarded by Anet. They send me Karka shell trinket and a 20 slot bag, while some got 2 precursors from the chest and some of those were the free trial people.

I just plodded on, played the game and gathered my mats and gold and when i got enough I bought my Bifrost precursor off the TP. Occasionally threw rares into the MF that i found but ofc no precursor there.

I do feel sad for people trying to get one now, as the prices just keep climbing, but you also have to bear in mind, gold is much easier to get now then it was when i was going for it. It’s all kinda relevant economically.

I mean when the game released, most expensive precursors were 50g but it took u ages to earn even 1g so yea it’s a very expensive item for sure, but it’s supposed to be a long term goal, however that statement is getting a bit thin for people like me who have played since the start every day and still haven’t got one.

The game didn’t start out this way. I’ve been playing since BWE1 and I love this game, but it’s turning into a clock race, where everything is on a timer, including a friggin sand storm!

Sandstorm was something i was really looking forward to in LS2, but by turning it into a timed event, it’s taken a shine off it for me. A sandstorm should occur randomly, not at some predetermined time, as it is now and when it comes on, everyone mindlessly race to find those chests like there’s no tomorrow.

This goes for just about everything in the game, the timed aspect jumps, the timed bosses u have to kill within certain time, the timed events in general and it just goes on.
I can understand some things have to be timed but a sandstorm! Seriously, take the clock away!

There are 16 weapon recipes (one for each weapon type)
There are 16 different insects you can trade the fossils for (one for each weapon type)
There are also 3 different inscriptions for the various crafting professions.

So to make the greatsword for example you will need.
1) The recipe for Scorpiones (400/350 geode cost and a T4/T5 map)
2) A fossil to trade for the Ambrite Fossilized Devourer
3) The recipe for Nomad’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription (50 geodes and a T2+ map)
4) The normal mats for a greatsword (hilt + blade)

Ok, tyvm for responding so quickly but you have raised 1 more question, where do i get these weapon recipes? As stated above, I have not seen them on any of the merchants in Dry Top. Or as i’ve asked above, do they only show up during tier4/5?

Thanks again.

Tiger Ashante.1792

Ok, i was lucky enough to get 2 fossils yesterday. Before that i hadn’t even bothered checking into the recipes/requirements etc for making these weapons, as i didn’t think i’d ever get any.

Now that i do have them, i started researching what i have to do to make a greatsword and a longbow.

Looking at the wiki recipe for these items, it seems i only need the Ori imbued inscription and the required components, but i often see people mentioning recipes and in fact, wiki says Recipe: Scorpioness, for greatsword.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ambrite_Fossilized_Devourer
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scorpiones

So what I’m asking, is there actually a separate recipe for each weapon, aside from the inscription? Coz i haven’t seen any weapon specific recipes at the relevant merchants apart from the said inscriptions. Is it that they don’t appear until tier4/5 and hence why i haven’t seen them? Or am i missing something here?

I would appreciate if anyone could clarify this for me.
Thanks in advance.

Edit: I wish to update my concerns. I now have 4 fossils, enough geodes to get at least one recipe, but not once since then has there been tier 4 reached, so even though i have all the items, i cannot buy the recipe.

My concern is, how will i be able to acquire 4x recipes when i can’t even get one as of right now! What will happen when after July 29th the next installment hits, the area will become deserted and if tier 4 cannot be reached now, what chance has it got then?

Is Anet planning to change this setup so we can acquire these recipes in some other way? Or at least reduce the tier requirement?

Pets dying from fall damage!

in Ranger

Posted by: Tiger Ashante.1792

Tiger Ashante.1792

I don’t know if this has been reported (couldn’t find anything), but in the last month or so, I’ve had my pets die form fall damage. I don’t mean they die as they usually do during combat and recover out of combat. I mean they’re completely dead and the only way i can get them back is through switching pets.

For eg earlier today in Dry Top, I jumped down a cliff, it wasn’t a death fall for me (although i do have fall dmg reduction trait equipped, but even so i don’t think it was high enough for me to die), yet my pet fell and died.

First time this happened, was in Sparkfly Fen about a month ago and i was really surprised and actually distressed, as I have never seen that before. Now that it has happened again on a different character and with a different pet, I’m wondering if this was a change made to pets and is working as intended, or is it a bug?

Has anyone else experienced this?

This is a horrible boss fight!

I’m supposed to fight the thing alone? Minions coming from all directions and the dogs completely ignoring me and my Mesmer’s clones and just going after the minions that often die just b4 they reach the boss. And i don’t know what bubbles ppl above are talking about, I’ve seen no bubbles only insane rings of crap flying everywhere from the boss.

I tried to grab the dogs’ aggro by hopping from one to another, but they just ignore me till they kill the minions then turn on me. These dogs hit like a truck, each hit takes 1/3 of my life.

I thought Aerin fight was boring and annoying but this takes the cake.

Died twice now, first time after returning, the boss still remained damaged a little after about half an hour of going it at it, the 2nd time, when i got back in range he had fully reset. How annoying to spawn u so faraway from the boss fight, so that he would reset b4 you get back!

Well that did it for me. I’m not gonna bother with it, it’s too boring and frustrating and takes waaaaayyyy too long.

And yea, Kas Marj are nowhere to be seen gg.

It’s a shame that this fight ruins for the most part a great story so far, i really don’t know what they’ve thinking with this fight, it’s totally unfun!

Hi all,

I’m from the world of EverQuest 2 and a little bit of World of Warcraft.

Can someone explain to me the similarities and differences between those MMO’s and GW2?

Might someone be able to explain exactly what you do in GW2 and how?

When I tried it last it seemed like all you do is get the POI’s and find stuff on the map, and then find randomly located NPC’s who may or may not give you things to do.

I’m used to the type of questing system where you know a NPC will be around a certain area, they will give you a specific quest, you finish, you return it.

Can someone explain in detail how all this works in GW2?

Thanks.

Tiger Ashante.1792

So attack the one as far away from him as possible? When all the homes for the Ordes are on the way? Sorry that makes even less sence. Also you did not address my point of HOW HE KNOWS ZHITAN IS DEAD. When he’s been asleep the whole time.

My husband and I were just discussing this last night. Yes, he’s been asleep, but he seems to have been at least semi-coherent recently. It is plausible that he could have gained this information from Scarlet’s mind. What she knows, he now knows sort of thing. We don’t know if the communication went both ways, or if she could only hear him. The same could then be taken into consideration of Aerin. If Mordy knew what Scarlet knew, could he also know what Aerin knew? Of course this is dependent on it actually being Mordy in their heads (I know someone’s going to tell me it’s not, but we don’t know either way) and if the communication was not simply one sided.

My only problem with the mind reading thing is that Modri is a Dragon and Scarlet was. Silyvai. They are two different kinds of animal. As far as we know our thought patterns are completely different to that of a dog. And if I could read a dogs mind, that would not mean I could understand his thoughts or that he could understand mine. Now if there race turn out to be minions of Mordi then fair play it would make sence for him to be able to read there thoughts.

But again the attack on Concordia makes no sence since they go past every Order HQ on the way.

We already have precedent for dragons communicating telepathically. Glint was a dragon, perhaps not exactly like the Elder Dragons, but a dragon none the less. She communicated mind to mind with the dwarves…. which were not dragons. It’s likely she communicated that way with the first Zephyrites, which again, were not dragons. The game references that Zaihtan knew everything his minions knew once he seized them at death, and the majority of those aren’t dragons. Based upon that, the fact that he’s in their heads tends to lend to the belief that it wasn’t completely one sided. In some of the scenes with Scarlet talking to herself, it did sound like she was having an an actual conversation with someone we could not see.

Scarlet Briar: Ever since I came out of Omadd’s machine, you’ve been taking credit for my ideas. They are mine! Not yours.
Scarlet Briar: Let me be clear. I’m not doing this for you; I’m doing it for me. Nobody tells me what to do. Not ever.
Scarlet Briar: It’s not true. None of it. I don’t have to listen to you. Get out of my head!

I’m on the fence about the attack on Concordia. Timberline Falls seems a ways out there. However, those vines are going somewhere. We’ll just have to keep following their path of waypoints.

Edit: Dogs don’t speak the same language we do either. In the game, we all speak the same tongue, the language barrier doesn’t necessarily exist.

But glint had been around the young races for a long time. And we don’t know how if glint learned how to communicate with us or if she just could. Also I said it would make sence for a thrall or minion of the dragon to have a link as they are no longer who they where. It is also said ingame that the risen retain no knowledge of who they where.

As for who scarlet was talking to we do not know. She may have just been mad as a bag of spiders, or it could have been The Nightmare, another Tree, the Muerrsat or indeed Modri. There is no proof that it is Modri 100%. People are just claiming it is to fit there theories. Until it is stated in game that it is Mordi, I’m not going to assume anything.

My problem with Concordia is where it is. There are a load of Zones on the way that are not under attack from dragon forces. The only forces now that are active for a story point of view are Jormags in the Northern Shiver Peaks and The Crytal Dragon in Ascalon(I forget how to spell his name). The nearest front is far away and with the pact forces there Mordi could have just rolled everything from Drytop to LA. It just don’t make any sence unless he wats to outflank the pact, but then it makes no sence dew to the HQ’s remaining intact.

How do u know they’re in tact? Just b/c they didn’t show it in the trailer, it don’t mean they’ve not been hit.

For God sake people, leave T alone! He’s not that bad. You’re blowing this whole thing out of proportion. It’s like whomever the 1st person was that complained about him, everyone else jumped on the bandwagon, b/c it was a cool thing to do.

I agree the voice acting lets him down a bit and there were a few parts that could have been done better, but overall he’s fine!

@OP, i like that idea.

After cleansing Orr, and leading the Pact for so long, he’s now confident, seasoned leader and not a self-doubting, gentle Sylvari Scholar, as he first appeared to us. He’s more rugged and authoritative, not to mention a much more able and experienced fighter.

I don’t see why his voice can’t become more deep with age, or why he couldn’t have a change of hair and facial features to show his more mature self. Perhaps his leaves have greyed out, or even become a bit withered from stress of fighting the long war in Orr.

I had a similar issue, well basically the same, except i didn’t try to buy the story. As others have pointed out u don’t have to do that, u only need to log in to unlock it.

In fact, I was the person referred to in the above link by Cedo and others.

Have you actually checked ur personal story tab after repairing your client? Look down at the bottom and see if Living Story 2 is listed there.

I think I read another thread where someone could not unlock the story for one or more of his characters, and a -repair of the client alleviated the problem. Couldn’t hurt to try…

Good luck.

How do u repair client? I’ve heard of ppl use that word but i’m not sure how it’s done.

Or, this shortcut: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28148006-Repairing-the-Game-Client

Good luck.

Thank you very much for that link:3
I’ll give that a go. I’ve got some other issues with gw2, so hopefully it will fix those as well.

Are you telling us the entry for Season 2 isn’t in their Story Journal, or that your Story Journal is completely blank?

No, just the season 2 Story Journal.

….. What?
Oh hell, just screenshot it.

Lolz, ok, all my characters have completed Personal Story, they’re all level 80, so all that is in order, The personal Story Journal is all there.

The part i’m missing is the S2 story. These 2 characters in question have no story Journal for S2 story, it isn’t there. It did not activate it when l logged them in and the green star for S2 Story on UI isn’t there for them either.

When I take them to gates of maguma, there’s no instance entry point on that map to start the story for these 2 characters.

Not really sure how to explain it any better.

If you have received the ‘mail’ on another character, you can open it on the characters that are ‘missing’ the story, and that should unlock/activate it. Each character needs not receive its own copy of the mail.

That’s the thing, they don’t have it in their mail box. Not sure if i’ve deleted it on those characters that did receive the mail once it was activated. But the point is regardless all my other 7 characters received the mail except those those 2.

I still have 1 character that has the story active but not completed it yet, I’ll check tomorrow if she still has that mail or not.

As the title says, 2 of my characters: my warrior and my thief, never got the story journal triggered. I thought maybe it would trigger once i take them to the story starting area or Dry Top but nope nothing.

Not sure if this is a bug or where to report it, or if i should submit a support ticket.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, would u please tell me how u handled it.

Thanks

PS. They never received the mail notice either.

Guild Bank "Theft"

It’s principal. What was in there wasn’t that big of a deal. It just seems like there should be a way to do something about crappy people, that do stupid things…

I don’t know if you’re leader of the guild in question, if so and you have more than one guild bank tab unlocked a I have, here’s what i’ve done.

The first panel, I put stuff in there to be taken by anyone in the guild and have given them permission to do so. In the last 2 panels, I store stuff in there that is not for the taking and only myself as the leader and my co-leader have permission for those.

I do wish, that all 3 bank panels had separate permissions but unfortunately they don’t. It would allow for more customisation with permissions.

The way things stand, I can only advise you to be careful who u give permission to. And as an added thought, changing permissions is easy. You can change them any time, anywhere. If someone is acting suspicious, or you had an altercation with them, (if need be) demote them to a rank that don’t have access to your private stash, but honestly, i would keep it very restrictive to begin with. With ppl being able to join multiple guilds, who knows where they loyalties lie.

Umm… Gathering IS one action, except for rich-nodes or those few extra gathers you might get due to WvW bonus. Even so you only need 1-2 clicks most of the time.

Also, why can’t you just run to the node and hit F? I don’t think I even use mouse for clicking outside my inventory.

I do use F as well but u still have to be right on top of the node to activate it. and in my case, it’s hardly ever 1 action, there’s always that extra pce of wood, or ore.

What i’m talking about is being able to right click to target a node or an npc from a distance in order to perform an action, ie: bring your characters automatically within range of a node and start gathering, or automatically interact with a NPC, all with 1 right click of a mouse.

As i said above, it works beautifully in Lotro and that’s an 8 year old game, so what would be wrong with it working here too? I mean u can use right click to target things in gw2 as well, but it does nothing. It does not perform an action so your character just stand there.

OP, that sounds really cool in one’s mind and perhaps on paper, but in reality, such extremes especially in low lvl maps may prove very detrimental for new players. I’m all for dynamic weather but u have to consider how tiring it may become having to battle it all the time, where it actually debilitates you to such an extent. However, being randomly generated, it may work.

I tell you one thing, in gw1 The Realm of Torment, it was an area where Abbadon was imprisoned and it had several maps, most of which had different environmental conditions and people hated them. Granted, these conditions were not generated by the weather, but were just there, so adding weather to that aspect may prove very immersive.

Ultimately, i’m all for more of dynamic and severe weather effects in gw2, but another thing u also may consider is the performance. I for eg; lag bad enough at jormag event as is, add more effects and ur performance drops further, but at the same time, your idea sounds really cool and i would like to see something like that happen.

I would like to suggest that the “right click to interact” option allows you to click, say on a node and it will auto take you to it and let you gather all with one click.

This would also work for any interacts, even NPC’s and any other objects, but i would like to see it especially for gathering as that is what we all do most of the time.

My hands hurt after playing gw2 for an hour due to so much clicking and I would really like to see it reduced.

I would also like to see gathering being one action, ie: you hit the node once and gather till it’s done, instead of having to hit it multiple times especially in case of rich nodes.

The only other game I’ve been playing for some years now, is Lotro and this function works wonderfully in that game. I don’t see why it can’t work in GW2 as well.

In fact, this is done so well in Lotro, that even when I’m riding my steed, I can right click a node (as long as i can see it) and my character is brought up to the node, dismounted and starts mining all with just one right click! Gathering is an absolute pleasure and actually very relaxing activity in Lotro, while I find it rather painful in GW2.

Dev’s i know you can do this, please make it happen and save my hands!
Thanks in advance

Just want to add, my rig is top of the line, so i know it’s not that, however i do have a high ping rate living in Australia, (lowest i’ve seen is around 270). So yea my internet is crap, but i wasn’t having bad lags for a long time except at large events, until Dry Top. I lag there bad even just running around and when there aren’t many ppl around.

I have had this issue interacting with objects on an odd occasion in the past, but nothing as bad as it is now. I believe it got really bad after one of the patches, 17th June i think. Oddly enough, it seems to happen worse in some maps than others. For eg: in SouthSun, almost every node i interact with, nothing happens, while i was in Harathi just yesterday and had no problems at all. So i’m really baffled why this is happening.

Anyway, hope some of this info will help, fingers crossed.

I basically cannot play this new area. I lag so bad, i sometimes stand there for 1-2 min after casting a skill. Trying to use aspect jumps is virtually impossible especially with them now being timed jumps.

I’ve been having a strange issue for at least couple of weeks now in gw2, where i’m unable to interact with objects/nodes/npc’s etc. i’ll click on a node for eg: and nothing happens, sometimes i click half a dozen times and still nothing. Sometimes if i walk away and return to the node, it works, but not always.

This is not due to a typical lag, it seems to be a separate issue, but some type of lag. I have my mini out and it often don’t lag, but i still can’t interact with objects.

In Dry Top, i have both the usual lag and this other one where i can’t interact with objects. it’s been nothing but frustration one after another and i really haven’t been able to enjoy the content.

Even in the instanced story parts, i’m having to click on npc’s twice to activate them. I don’t believe this is on my end since i play other games and only have this problem in gw2.

Devs please, would it be possible to at least remove the timer thing from aspects? I’m basically having a 1-2 seconds delay after hitting the skill b4 the jump occurs and sometimes even longer, making it impossible to do any of the jumping parts. I’ve lost count the amount of times i’ve died standing on one of the high areas then lag would hit and a while later, finding myself down below, totally disoriented and not knowing how i got there.

Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated.

It doesn’t quite fit the atmosphere they showed in the trailer. This is more jungle rather than desert.

Well between that and the graphics (style?) doesn’t quite look like its GW

Oh really? I was thinking the opposite lol.

Returning to GW2: What's changed?

I haven’t played GW2 since release. I bought it but due to time constraints I could only play it for a couple of weeks.

I now have more free time on my hands and would like to get back into the game however I’m concerned that it has changed so much I won’t know what’s going on anymore.

Could anyone update me on what’s happened and whether it is even worth coming back?

Thanks!

Seriously dude, if you’ve only played for 2 weeks after release any changes aren’t gonna make much difference to you. So just start again and enjoy all the game has to offer. I’m almost envious of you starting from scratch lol.
