If you don’t do dungeons, getting the Fragments is by far the most time consuming part. Albeit at the same time, (IMO) the most entertaining.

We have been matched against T1 servers a couple of times now. I would guess that even if we have lost those matchups, we have done well enough to gain rank.

But yeah, our med pop server is trumping some of the high/full servers. Maybe it’s time for you to up your game instead of coming here to laugh?

Nothing they add to WvW matters as long as the skill lag makes all large battles unplayable (and at the same time make most of the map unplayable at the same time).

Even if I would rather take the culling back to get rid of the lag, I still don’t want that to be the solution because it would effectively mean that they gave up and WvW can be kittened forever.

But have no fear, if you have gold (around 65g or so) you can skip the timegate.

You’ll have to grind stuff for it still, though.

The reset is also 24 hours on those chests, which is really annoying. They should either reset with the daily, or reset every 23 hours.

I have a radical idea. Instead of redoing the 5-6 chest every day, why don’t you travel out there and find more chests? I don’t have an exact count, but I am pretty sure there are over 100 chests in the world that drop shards. Even at the rate of getting 3 per chest average, you’d have your shards in a few days.

True. It’s truly sad they couldn’t keep that game running and even more tragic they decided to go for 2 factions only.

I wish it was only SM. I’m getting hideous skill lag every evening now and many times not being anywhere near SM. Happens in Borderlands too. Whenever more than 20-30 people fight, it’s lag time and the game becomes a steaming, unplayable piece of bullstuff.

Ok ANet tonight was the last straw for me. WvW as it currently is is UNPLAYABLE. Do you hear me? It is not playable in any reasonable form or level. The skill lag is happening ALL THE TIME during prime time. It doesn’t matter which matchup, it doesn’t matter if I try to avoid the blobs myself. The whole kittening server just lags down to a pace where nothing matters anymore. This is not PvP. This is not even a working game.

I’ve spent probably 200€ total on this game counting gems and the box. But no more. I will not put down a single cent before the skill lag issue is resolved. And I sincerely hope nobody that does WvW (or anyone else, really for that matter) doesn’t either. I don’t care how you do it, I DON’T CARE if it’s difficult to do. Just do it! Hire better programmers, buy new servers, lower the population caps. Just FIX THE SKILL LAG.

And do it now. Not next year, not next month, NOW. You are starting “leagues”. LEAGUES? Do you even realize how absurd that is when your WvW is totally messed up and broken?

WvW trains are already trading flips while passing the enemies and not engaging. I’d say remove all ascended rewards from WvW immediately.

Parking doesn’t matter in this case – as someone pointed out, even if JP’s gave out 10 fragments, it would take you 50 days to get enough fragments for one ascended weapon using a parked character. The fact that you can do it only once per day is a big detriment to this method.

So? I can get more with just 3 alts and current drops if they are moving around, without doing anything eally hard too. Just a bit of running around and easy jumping. And 100 fragments per day is still pitiful compared to the daily amount of bloodstone dust and dragonite ore you can get with only minimal time and effort investment.

The difference is you have to play for a while with those 3 alts, whereas the other example only takes 15 minutes to go through.

I can’t do that…
I have to use all of my characters for specialized roles every day and move them around a lot. I got a temple commander, a monk, a DPS’er, a Mez, and a crafter/accountant. I’d also point out that anyone who’s just “parking”, is missing out on a ton of money from Ancient sapplings and other node commodities that are going insane right now

They got their gems for 100 per 20-30 silver, back in the day.

Your internet bandwidth has nothing to do with your FPS. You can improve your FPS by lowering settings or purchasing a faster PC (or upgrading your current one).

You can also sell the finished inscription, but not the finished weapon itself.

Well we do have other activites not in any way related to character progression, so maybe some time in the future. Who knows?

I can feel your pain. My LvL 80 tried to get a skill point in Orr that was camped by a champion risen knight. This was before the latest patch when Orr was practically a graveyard while people were farming invasions.

You need the manuals to unlock higher trait tiers. Only need one of each per character. Upon usage they also refund your trait points, but you can also refund them by selecting that option from the trainer. Costs much less than the manual.

Of course we would still like to get an answer from Devon that if your current servers are not able to handle the calculations per second needed, why don’t you buy/rent bigger and faster servers?

I could compile a list of basic roleplaying support items/stuff this game needs to be considered a roleplaying game, but it would be too long for this forum to accept.

Unfortunately it seems GW2 is not a game for MMO roleplaying and so far it seems the devs have absolutely no interest in developing it as such.

We can only hope they will fix this when the LFG tool is introduced on the 17th. Otherwise there will be tears beyond belief.

Well collecting 1500 ascended materials for the Vision Crystal will still require quite a bit of grinding.

Most of the world boss Meta Events are extremely cool. Unfortunately 90% of the playerbase only takes part on the last boss fight when they see it ping up on the event tracker websites.

Almost all areas have a world boss event associated with them, so keep your eye out. Meta events are shown on your screen on the right when you are somewhere in the vicinity of the area and then you can check the map where the action is currently.

“Minidungeons” … or typically what you’d see listed in your Explorer locations where you usually fight some Vets to open a door… seem give to up to 9 shards pretty consistently. This might be a real boon to those with lots of alts if you bring them all to the same JP or Minidungeon and park them at the door/gate that has to be opened.

One example… that cave below the spinach patch in Gendarren… 3 lousy shards for soloing a Champion Spider = not worth it. But parking my other 4 alts right at the lock gate first and getting them all through it once it’s opened… turns the crappy drop amount of a PITA mini dungeon into almost a full scale dungeon once each alt pops the chest.

Well you don’t have to solo the spider and it does drop a bag which has a chance of dropping bloodstone dust and other goodies

I’m actually pretty sure the Luck MF cap is 300%, on top of this you can have achievement MF and consumable/infusion MF.

Exactly. A lot of noise for absolutely nothing.

The only things you need to farm yourself is the components for the Vision Crystal, 500 empyreal fragments, 500 bloodstone dust and 500 dragonite ore. Everything else can be bought.

Look for the “discovery” tab in your crafting window. In practice, you combine crafting materials there to discover new recipes.

The only time gated materials are the deldrimor steel ingots and spiritwood planks. Both tradeable and going around 5-6g apiece. You need a total of 12 of them for one weapon.

The problem with the JP Empyreal rewards is that you can park a character there and collect it daily without any effort. I still don’t think it should be that low.

Also, it seems it is in no way balanced between different Jumping Puzzles. The one in Wayfarer Hills (takes less than a minute to clear) gives the same amount as the Southsun Stepping stones one.

Why not a new dragon, a champion of an Elder Dragon as yet unseen? A precursor, if you will, of things to come.

Anet may have forgotten about the other Elder Dragons, but I haven’t.

Yep. 250 for each of the new sigil/rune recipes introduced in the Queen’s Jubilee release. At the moment they are dirt cheap on the TP.

Well now you can put that 10g into a set that actually maximizes your effectiveness instead of having to sacrifice something else for MF.
