Same here, this bug is pretty annoying in Fractals (Running over edges trying to pick up hammer, not picking up crystals at maw, running over the edge with a torch, you know the drill.)

Hm, i see my post was moved from bugs, but you might know this as well then – Over 500 hours, i never figured – When are these “server resets”? – Only right after patch, or?

Mirta no matter how you put it you still sacrifice a stat for the Magic Find, and in conclusion worse than the rest of your party. That your party can carry you is no excuse. If you are really that much better than your party wearing your Magic Find – Well congratulations, you are a good player. But you can be better. It is okay for you to wear Magic Find if things are smooth, but if everyone is dying and you are on your Magic Find, I don’t care that you are the only one who’s not dead. The others are. And that one stat you sacrificed could have made the difference. Magic Find needs to go because some people always wear it, and we don’t really want to check all people. We would like to assume that people are playing to their fullest, and not trying to leech on their party by wearing MF (Even if you turn out to be doing better – You are still worse statwise which means you can do even better!)

Your arguments that vitality/toughness can be sacrificed for Magic Find if you can stay alive is invalid as well. If you can stay up with no vitality/toughness, then GZ! Your build is utterly useless, and you should have went for offensive stats instead. Having defensive gear is useless if you don’t need defense. Taking Magic Find over more damage is no excuse.

As other say there is nothing here indicating your graphics card is an issue.

3 players in need for a party? Only room for 2? NO PROBLEM:

Simply join the party, then kick the one who spent time stowing the party together, and invite your last man.

When is this ever going to be changed?? At least it wasn’t at the end of a dungeon this time.

While I can agree it is quite annoying there is no delay on it (When you are out of sight it IMMEDIATLY resets, instead of looking around for some seconds, then resetting), it is acceptable that if you choose to go stealth, it will lose aggro since – Well you are not there. But there should definitely be a delay before it resets, so you have the option to pick up aggro again.

Hi there. This problem is (in all cases I’ve seen) due to outdated graphics. You mentioned searching for new drivers. If that didn’t work, did you

a) update through some third party software, or even windows update? If so, try going to ATI‘s page, and find the drivers yourself – It’s called Catalyst.

b) If it still doesn’t work, you can try a beta driver (If one exists) , or an older version from their site.

DirectX is backwards compatible so having DX11 is fine – If kirito is right, which I didn’t bother to check, remember to never update drivers through third party software. Go durectly to AMD and find the driver there. I have heard of blue boxes before, and in all cases i remember it was due to outdated graphics drivers.

I can confirm that you can throw the keg even when you are on the ground. I think it is intended.

I can tell you Agony was working fine JUST before patch, if that helps confirm it is post patch.

Remember, the skill only revives the pets hp if its dead. In many cases i popped it too early, only to call a downed pet to “stand on my chest” (Or it gets downed pretty fast)

Try updating your graphics drivers, if you haven’t been there already.

Yes, they are the “exotics that drop from fractals”, if i remember correctly they are all named fractal something- I’ve seen 3-4 threads about fractal weapons now, and assumed this was another assuming that fractal weapons = ascended weapons. That’s why i initially just made the statement that ascended weapons do not exist.

@Hellkaiser i have already seen a few of the skins, and they are exotic.

3 of 5 would seem logical, and avoid a lot of things like this. If I were you I would whisper the last player if you could kick the 2 idiots, having him as second, or simply (If you are leader) shut down the entire fractal run. I wouldn’t hold it against you to complete it with them either – You reported as deserved. And I’m sorry you had to run into people like that.

But really. I don’t get how 2 vote kick hasn’t been changed to 3/5 yet.

Ok, let’s assume he wasn’t talking about the exotic skins.
- It was announced already in november that there would be more ascended stuff in the future.
- It has now been 2 months, still no additions
- January update contains no new content
- February is focused on PvP if you are to believe mod posts.
- March sounds is the first plausible time where something like ascended weapons could be added.

So maybe he “wasted” his time having a nice weapon for the next months. I don’t see the problem.

I think we all have something in mind ratman, there have been so much.
I can even go for opposite examples.
Wintersday Mystery Boxes were in the patch notes as a rare drop.
They didn’t drop, and it wasn’t fixed even though the event was 2 weeks. So why was it ever in the patch notes? The patch notes at the current state is just not doing their job.

you are absolutely right critickitten, the problem is however that there are still a lot of people here who want vertical progression. A lot of players didn’t come from GW1, they came from other hit ‘n’ run MMO’s, expecting a similar model. And while GW2 is both flawed on some aspects and new (Not infinite content) there will be these kind of responses. But I think it will pass when people adapt/leave.

Before being ignorant, what is your point? Op is worried about stats. But since there are NO FRACTAL WEAPONS there is nothing to worry about. The “Fractal Weapons” are just skins. You can confirm it by reading 3rd dev post here.

Something they aren’t telling us. Bugfixes is changing code. We got 25 mb of new code.

I can confirm this happens, although it doesn’t bother me. I was at 99% map completion, but the game liked me, and told me I had 100% good guy counter.

@OP, try googling disable core parking.

@TinyGoliath – Your specs will run just fine, but we can’t just tell you which FPS you will get. I can tell you you can run it smoothly on more than low settings, that’s for sure. I’m not sure why you would overclock a brand new PC though, if you already have good specs.

Neither had I, yet I got 15 fps after doing it. You can always try it, and reverse the changes. Up to you.

Software Student here (I know a bit about hardware as well).

Intel HD 3000 is a very low-end graphics card. If you look at buyable laptops today, that card is about the worst performing card they can put in a machine. The GT240 IS better. Your CPU’s are equally fast, but without looking at the two, I’d say the i3 is slightly better, since it is newer (and probably better designed).

These should be the main concerns.
Now the things i can think of: Some computers do a thing called core parking, which doesn’t always work as intended. Disabling it can net you a FPS increase – I got 15fps. You can google your way to a guide on how to do it. Make sure you read what doing this implies.
I didn’t see the resolution on your second laptop, but lowering the resolution can help your fps too. I’m greedy and run 1920×1080 on my laptop, and it can barely keep up
And of course update your graphics drivers. It can improve a lot.

That you don’t see them coming because they aren’t rendered fast enough, due to prioritized loading of elements.

urdriel is right. And after hating on thieves much and improving my own skill; You are wrong, thieves are not OP. They are noob stompers – If you aren’t ready for them, you’re dead. But they are very quishy and they suspecible to CC (Try using Juvenile Wolf, the knockdown pet, Entangle ulti, along with “Protect Me!” if he gets to burst you. From there, take him down. If you can, save the fear for when he goes invis and tries to run away. They get out of stealth, and you can finish them. Also, your downed beats his downed.

Disabling core parking, might help you further on fps (But again increase load on the cpu.). Try googling it, but do with care.

You are definitely not on the good side. Your graphics card should do ok, but the processor is on the edge of having a problem. Try finding something with an intel i5. They are not crazy expensive.

I was about to sit back with popcorn to enjoy a good rage thread, but I actually find it very relevant. The lack of response in all subforums except from tech support and the likes hurts my eyes a bit. And I do find I always have to go out of my way to find info about current bugs.

It’s not a bug. You simply lost aggro by running too far away from the boss. It happened to me once as well. You will see same mechanic with any mob in game, if you run too far away – You can chase it back, but it will be invulnerable until you reach a given point, where it starts fighting back again.

Evilruler got it right it seems, didn’t think of that. But at least I was right that your GPU can perform better

Just report the account it came from and problem solved. There are nowhere near the gold spamming people there was a few months back. I have a lot of complaints against Anet, but this sure isn’t one of them (anymore). They did a real good job.

That wasn’t the point – He is not on a laptop. His graphics card is likely at level with, if not better than my graphics card, and i only use 30-40% of mine. There is no way he should be bottlenecking his graphics card.

Umm, i would disagree. I’m running a laptop Radeon HD 5870, i don’t even use half my GPU at medium settings. My poor i5-460 is running 100% though. (2.4ghz, 2.53 on turbo)

The door is only open during a small phase of the chained event. Not sure how long the timer is. There is no other way unless you are an elementalist if i remember it right. (Some odd stunt using lightning)

Christmas kind of interrupted my choice of sigil.. Bottomline, still looking for inputs, and this is the conclusion so far:

Sigil of Force + 5% damage.
Sigil of Air (5s cd) 30% chance to cause a lightning strike on a critical hit.
Sigil of Strength (1 s cd) 30% chance to apply might for 10s on critical hit.

I’m simply looking to find which of these will give me the highest damage output using a shortbow and full berserkers.

Edit: Some serious Googling gave me the answer to Sigil of Accuracy vs Force. Short story is:

Critical damage > 100 and critical chance <= 33.33%, choose Sigil of Accuracy

Not gonna happen. Force is better.

Edit 2: Removing Sigil of Frailty due to the nature of it. Most bosses have condition removal. It also doesn’t help me much on low hp targets. It doesn’t shine until i’ve been beating at the thing for some seconds. This is however not the case for might.

So, the jump puzzle is a timed event. Except it’s hard to see where you’re jumping when there’s giant characters on the snow flakes completely occluding your body. It’s basically jumping blind until they fall. The puzzles overly hard as it is, without having to basically do the first half blind.

Put the big races on their own island.

As someone who farmed the puzzle for gifts, no, the jump puzzles aren’t too hard, but they ARE problematic as they do discriminate people who are not good at jumping. I’m all for a skillbased game, but perhaps add some difficulty settings to puzzles like these. Make the 3 paths easy, medium and hard. Give the achievement for completing any, and scale the rewards a bit up for medium and hard. This way everyone can be happy.

The point you are absolutely right on is the view problems. Even though I’m always in front, a few times someone might be just as fast. I’ll guarantee if it’s a norn or a charr, I’m gonna fall.
