They can only bring back orbs if they remove the hackers.. And those have been plagueing WvW for years now, so I wouldn’t count on the orbs reappearing..

Well, already stated in tons of other “merge server” threads: I chose my server when I started playing the game because it sounded cool (and it was a very hard area in GW1). I feel very connected with my server and with the people on it..

So forcing me, as an avid WvW player, to ‘marry’ another server, will decrease my connection with ‘my’ home server, and thus will lead to less WvW play time..

Err, could you mention the source where you got that information? As far as I can tell there is no incentive of ANet to implement this..

And should they indeed work on this, then I’m certain it will be implemented together with guild capes..

It’s no bug, you probably are missing some sort of cavern or so (where there is no POI or vista). You could check the webz for a fully explored map of Ascalon and overlay it with your GW2 map to see what you’ll be missing..

You can already do something like that (by messing about with the Friend/Followers/Blocked):
- Select enemy and press Block
- Check your Block list for the newly added entry
- Doubleclick the name, add as friend (or simply unblock), send a whisper

I do it on occasion when I enjoyed a fight very much.. A simple “GG” or something like that..

I think the point he was trying to make is the irony in that Anet themselves have described what would appear to be a profession designed around optimal bow usage when in fact the profession is far from it. From the perspective of someone brand new to the game who wanted to roll a character with whom he could pew-pew effectively using dual bows, the wiki description would [misleadingly] point him towards a Ranger.

Heh, it’s the description that ANet has given to the ranger.. Try rolling one in GW2 and see the description of the profession.. It’s fun to see players complain and kitten about a bow/bow ranger, while in the description of ANet melee isn’t even mentioned..

And yeah, it probably isn’t the best cheese out there, but heh: I hate cheese! I rather have fun and experiment/create a build I enjoy playing the most then I’d head of to gw2skills and go for a cheesy build..

And again, I can only imagine the griefing when I go for the stomp after taking down a class with my dual bows.. I can only hope that one day it will be one of these whine kitties.. ;-)

Yesterday evening prime time on Fissure of Woe we were a huge team in Edge of The Mist

EotM puts all same-colored servers in one team, so it wasn’t entirely FoW (trust me, we don’t have that many WVW players).

If you are active on FoW and wanna do some WvW, feel free to add me in-game (or follow one of my guildies when he/she is roaming around). We normally run around with 3-4 people, taking towers/camps/keeps, picking off stragglers and avoiding the blobs.

As was stated here before: FoW is a small low tier server, so we rarely have a zerg to fight for us.. The only times that occurs is when we are matched against even lower servers, since then everyone is interested again in WvW.. But the current matchup has indeed quite some blobs running around in the maps..

Not sure if I understand this perfectly, but you are already able to access your bank from the crafting stations, no? (it’s the main access I use for banking)
Just click on the bank-tab in the station window..

The other remark: I see the logic that you apply, but I don’t think it’s something that can be implemented, since inventory management is a very basic part of the game (so if they should start rewriting that, you’ll have kitten loads of bugs afterwards, probably)..

Well, all races move at the same speed, so it’s pure animation wise (but I can understand that feeling)

My favorite profession would be the ranger.

I play WvW most of my time, and this character can easily solo cap an entire EB corner (undefended, of course). The fact that I can use my pet as a meat shield for the tower and keep champions, works like a charm..

Also, a lot of people complain about ranger and it being useless and broken, so that’s another reason I really love this character: I can only imagine the agony of people I stomp (“Err, did I just lose to a ranger”)..

But as stated: it really is dependant on how you want to play this game and of course your own personal preferences. Experiment!

All these PvE kitties that complain about not getting their map completion done because WvW counts as well: WvW is WvW, for the love of god.. Organise yourself and you can easily map an entire BL..
(and before you start b*tching: check from which low tier server I come and how hard this server has had it with their matchups – especially 9-10 months ago, when I completed the maps)

I never asked to have to run mindlessly in those PvE maps and instances to get my map completion, yet I had to do so as well..

Pet family tree skills shouldn’t be locked, there shouldn’t be tank/buff/dps pets, it should be how YOU make your pet.

The fact that some pets are more DPS oriented than others (who are more utility oriented) is nothing more than (in my opinion) logic..

Someone puts down a combo field, then a combo finisher takes place in that field: COMBO!
(You can see if something is a combo field or finisher in the skill tooltip, btw)

Did the outmanned buff change or something? As far as I can tell it gives you an increase in experience gain, more magic find and no armor damage on death.
If you have damaged armor, you’ll still be paying for the repairs..

The rank restriction would imply that r20’s will be frowned upon in S/T PvP, since they will be considered newbies..
There is not much to learn in HotJoin, so they’d be glory farming to get to r20 and then head in S/T PvP, thinking they are “good” at that point..

Well, the other remark from Chewy makes me doubt that actually.. Since you are in T1, you don’t get ‘randomized’ matchups, so that could indeed mean you’re “stuck” with the green.. :-/
But not entirely certain..

Normally the team colors are randomized at the match up, so it can be that in the next match up you are another color, so you can easily get those POI’s and vista’s..

Aye, the only condi removal is the traited grandmaster.. An condi-heavy class can make short work of this build..

It looks really beastly on paper though, having your pet attack when you deal powerful attacks from range, again I doubt the spec against other classes but that is my concern :P

Well, it is indeed fun.. And as far as I can tell that’s the main reason why I play this game: To have fun!

I don’t think it’ll become meta, as mentioned, you’re very squishy, so it takes some training.. So the skill cap to play it decently (without sounding too kitteny) is higher than other (meta) builds..

Short commentary with this build: It’s purely bow (LB/SB), designed to roam around, take out enemies quickly, cap a point and roam further..
Advantage of build: Purely ranged, so pew pew pew until they get close to you (if you are fighting a melee).
Disadvantage: Purely ranged, so pew pew pew and you’re screwed when they get close to you (if fighting melee).

You start fights with the longbow, (LB#3 and LB#5 afterwards), you get into the barrage circle, swap to short (chill them if they are indeed still close), activate quickening zephyr, decimate with shortbow.
Choice of pets: Both canines, so they have a knockdown attack (= awesome). Also, for CC: Wolf AoE fears and Hound AoE immobilizes..

I’m entirely certain that lots of people will have some nice words about this build, I’m also fully aware that it does not suit everyone’s playstyle (being a glassy cannon means you’ll have to practice a lot to make sure you can evade the most), but yeah, it is the build I have the most fun playing with..

Nevertheless, any remarks (constructive please) are more than welcome..
