what is your i win button ?

Turtle Dragon.9241

me being a necromancer i use to wonder what was my i win button and it dawned on me over the last few months , it is corrupt boon , with this skill the moment i see any stability go up or stacks of boons this little skill says no way jose to that mess. and they all get crushed under the pain of their own boons turned into conditions .

And then my Guardian uses Contemplation of Purity to turn them all back into boons, on top of getting healed for 2k and getting free Fury while you end up Poisoning yourself.

The true i-win-buttons are any skills that cause Immobilize, Stun, Knockdown or Pull. Just use one in WvW and watch your zerg run over that person(who would have escaped otherwise). I once made a Pistol Thief that spams Body Shot, with Devourer Venom, Scorpion Wire and Basilisk Venom. You cannot kill anything alone but you end up with a lot more kills than usual because the zerg will mow down more enemies that would have escaped. You still get credit for the kills though. You could even say it is a different kind of “support build” for zergs.

Valorous Defense
Is setup that way because it is only supposed to trigger once per fight.

Shattered Aegis
Awful trait for PvE. You are running, something hits you and removes your Aegis, you damage it, you are in combat. Annoying.

Defender’s Flame
See Shattered Aegis.

Inner Fire
Should have the added effect of Burning the foe for the same duration they just applied to you on top of gaining Fury.

Retributive Armor
Is fine. This is only an Adept trait.

Retaliatory Subconscious
Change to apply Retaliation to allies within a radius of 600 whenever you are CCed.
5 people limit, including self.

Courageous Return
The only good thing about this trait is it has no cooldown.

Amplified Wrath
This is a Grandmaster Trait for 33% increase in Burning.
Ele’s Serrated Stones is Adept and 20% Bleeding.
Necro’s Hemophilia is Adept and 20% Bleeding.
Necro’s Master of Terror is Master and 50% Fear.
Mesmer’s Master of Misdirection is Adept and 33% Confusion.
Thief’s Potent Poison is Adept and 33% Poison.
Warrior’s Deep Cuts is Adept and 50% Bleeding.
(Now you see how much they love Warriors)
This Grandmaster trait should increase Burning by 66% because it is Grandmaster.

Radiant Retaliation
This trait should not even exist. Or at least, for a Grandmaster trait it should make Retaliation scale with Condition Damage on top of scaling with Power.

Communal Defenses
Should apply Aegis to the Guardian as well when you block. It has a cooldown. It is a Grandmaster trait afterall.

Altruistic Healing
Is still the best(or among the best) trait for Guardian Survival. It is supposed to compete with Monk’s Focus because you are not supposed to be able to take both.

Purity of Body
Should be changed to apply 3 seconds of Vigor every 10 seconds on you as long as Virtue of Resolve is Passive. Applies the Vigor to allies as well if you also have Battle Presence. That way it stacks with Vigor.
10s of Vigor every 10s = +50% Endurance Regeneration
5s of Vigor every 10s = +25% Endurance Regeneration
3s of Vigor every 10s = +15% Enduration Regeneration.
The effect stays the same, but now stacks with Vigor. Downside: Removable boon.

why do you hide your key bindings oO

I dont. I use Numlock 1-9 for my skills, 0 + – * for Burst/Virtues/Attunements and a special button(M3) for my Elite. For whatever reason, Numlock buttons show as (…) when binded.

oh thanks now you tellin everyone about this people now will go try it till its been patch thanks genius.

I dont think they will patch it, this seems intentional. They add this kind of secret easter eggs for Warriors all the time. Building Momentum was a good example. They patched Building Momentum, but then they added this instead. They will definitely add something else if they patch Deep Strike.

You can make it work till your first death in tpvp.

Does it? Thanks for sharing, really appreciated.

Edit: I found this screenshot really funny, even though it does not provide any advantage in that game mode. I wonder if we get extra Power in Southsun Survival though.

6 Signets!

in PvP

Posted by: Turtle Dragon.9241

Turtle Dragon.9241

We have 6 Signet Warriors!

Yes, you heard correctly, 6 Signets. How is that possible when you can only have 5 Signets equipped?

See Screenshot.

It seems that if you have Healing Signet equipped, and you re-equip the Deep Strike trait, you gain Signet of Might’s Passive effect! What’s more, the Signet of Might’s Passive effect stays even if you unequip Deep Strike afterwards! You can equip all 5 other Signets and end up with 6 Signet Passives!
(Or at least you can always have Signet of Might’s Passive without ever equipping it!)

What’s more, you definitely gain the +180 Power Bonus from having the Passive Signet of Might effect in this way! However, you do not gain +40 extra Precision from Deep Strike in this manner(thus Deep Strike caps at 5 × 40 Precision for 5 equipped unused Signets) since Signet of Might is not really equipped.

I am only a level 50 Warrior. I found this while leveling up.

Edit: I cannot stop using Signet of Might’s Passive because the moment I equip both Healing Signet and Deep Strike, I get this automatically.
I think this is working as intended to make Warriors even better.

I didnt read it all but I disagree with the armor idea that’s where I had to post. No just no I like that it forces you to wear armor within that class being that if it didnt you would see warriors etc female with hardly any clothes on because they can access that armor skin now I much prefer that the armor class forces some to be somewhat civil and decent to a females body.

Your Warrior can already wear this:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Witch's_Outfit

even while in combat.

Those outfits look so heavy your character cannot get up after they sit down, right?

Female characters look way better

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Turtle Dragon.9241

Turtle Dragon.9241

As a roleplayer, I make characters based on a blend of aesthetics and an image I want them to portray.

My Human Mesmer is descended from my Ascalonian Warrior (male) and Canthan Assassin (female) from GW1, but favours her Ascalonian heritage. I wanted to play an elegant, educated and inspiring noble, and I felt a female would do better in that role.

My Norn Ranger was made female mainly because I can’t stand the male Norn’s caveman grunts. “HURRRRRRR!!!” However, I do like the idea of a self-reliant tracker and hunter who enjoys proving the Sons of Svanir wrong at every turn (ironically, her own father was a Son of Svanir).

My Asura Elementalist was made male since both genders look almost identical, and I liked the male voice and lines a bit more.

My Charr Warrior was made male since I just wanted to make a big, burly, fearsome warrior. XD His battle cries also sound more scary than a female’s.

My Sylvari Necromancer was made female since I wanted to make her like a D&D Dryad (who likes playing with dead things) as much as possible. (I was later very glad for this decision as I decided I didn’t really like the male Sylvari voice.)

I tried to roleplay, but always end up with a character who has a dead(but not really dead) sister named Debra, who has no parents and who wanted to be part of a circus. How did you get out of that part?

Why does one of the of the tankiest base classes get a healing signet

because 5khp and 3,1 % less dmg with 200 armor isnt that great to facetank every dmg.
gimme invisible skill, ports, protection and aegis and you are allowed to complain about heal sig

…..
srsly when i read dis " tankiest class" … its just redicilous because 200 armor are sooooo great and tanky even an berserk ele with protection is mor tanky than a soldier warrior

If 200 armor isnt great to you, then let’s remove it.
Healing Signet
Passive: +362 Heal per second, -200 Toughness
Active: same

in b4 double standard
+200 Armor isnt that great.
-200 Armor is omg too much nerf.

Whatever you do, please make sure the stats are available.

Stats we seek should be equally available and not something prestige that only selected players can afford.

War heal sig

Turtle Dragon.9241

This has been played out to death.

There are MULTIPLE ways for warriors to regen their health, stop blaming one freaking ability!

Regen boon, banner regen, adrenal health, life-on-hit or weapon swap sigils (maybe even runes?), and lastly healing signet which no warrior should ever use the active heal for.

Perhaps there is one too many way for Warriors to Regen health.
21 is the right number in Blackjack. 22 is too much.

Healing Signet Proposal

in PvP

Posted by: Turtle Dragon.9241

Turtle Dragon.9241

Proposal for Healing Signet:
Passive: +400 Heal per second. You have -300 Toughness.
Active: 5,275 Heal + (0.5) * Healing Power

Values may be adjusted as seen fit for balance, the concept is what is important.

The Passive heal gets buffed from +362 to +400, the Active heal also get buffed from +3.2k to +5.2k, but you gain a debuff for as long as the Passive is in effect.
This remains in line with any Signets, having a Passive effect, having an active, having no effect while on recharge.
304 Toughness is the difference between Light and Heavy Ascended Armor.

This is taken from GW1, a very similar effect to its GW1 counterpart.
The Frenzy + Healing Signet joke should make it back into GW2.

While your Healing Signet is passive, you gain +400 health per second, but the catch is you have -300 Toughness(equivalent to “you have Light Armor”). Healing Signet becomes more effective in countering Conditions in this way, because Condition damage does not take Toughness into account anyway.

If you activate Healing Signet, you get a Heal burst, but also a Toughness boost(because you lose the -300 Toughness debuff) which means you are now a lot more effective at tanking regular damage(equivalent to “you now have Heavy Armor back”).

The Toughness and decent burst heal gives the Warrior a reason to Activate the Signet instead of leaving it on Passive, which promotes more Active play. While taking no damage, keep the Signet on Passive. While fighting condition builds, keep the Signet on Passive as well. When you start taking a lot of damage, use your heal skill to get back up, then take less damage while the Signet is on cooldown(This is what any Heal skill for any other class does, burst heal then goes on cooldown).

This also brings Warriors back in line in terms of high risk high reward, even in PvE. Healing Signet carries a risk to the Warrior simply by being equipped. Bad Zerker Warriors get 1-hitted a lot more. Good Zerker Warriors see no change as they avoid any damage(and any extra damage from having lower Toughness) by dodging correctly.

tl;dr
Healing Signet heals for more passive and active but makes you Light Armored while Passive.

Safe to use SweetFX with Guild Wars 2?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Turtle Dragon.9241

Turtle Dragon.9241

Title says it all. I am sure it is safe(in terms of being ban) because it doesn’t give me any advantage, but I never heard anything about this from the Dev’s themselves.

Devs cannot and will not officially approve of a 3rd party mod. Devs will not test 3rd party mods to determine whether they are safe to use or not, or provide any sort of support if the game crashes due to you using a 3rd party mod.

However, SweetFX is not a 3rd party mod that affects GW2, it affects your graphics card directly. There is no way to detect that you are using SweetFX either, unless they can search the GW2 folder on your computer, but they cannot do that because that is an intrusion of your privacy.

Player advantage over others will always exist. You cannot remove this. My keyboard has 12 more buttons than yours that I can keybind, it is clearly an advantage for me. It is not an unfair one though, because I still have to press each button for each action I keybound. Nothing stops you from buying that keyboard either.
(Arenanet already stated 1 button = 1 action is fine)

Hello! just bought the game it was on sale! and thought sure why not!? for 24.99! what a steal! i’ve heard lots of really great things about this game, and I LOVE THE ARTWORK! the whole paintbrush style! as the game downloads… I need to decide….. which server/class/race to pick! Please tell me your thoughts?

Server:
Pick anything in
https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/wvw
which is ranked 1-12. All are fun. Forget the rest, they are deserted, outnumbered and their players are always complaining about how their server is deserted and outnumbered.

Race:
Pick Humans. The rest have serious clipping issues(and a lot of them, specially Charr and Asura) with their armors that will never get fixed.

Class:
Pick Warrior. Due to the fact that the majority of people play Warrior, that class keeps getting buffed every patch. Any bug which disadvantages the Warrior gets fixed within the week it starts happening. Any bug which advantages the Warrior either never gets fixed, or gets fixed over a year later.

Edit: Whatever you do, do not pick Ranger. At least not as your first character. We do not need more people with Bows and Bears. Many people will kick you from their party if you are a Ranger with a Bow and Bear pet. It has reached that point.

I don’t think that this trait will be viable. This trait is useless with AoE blocks, like active VoC and “Retreat!”, will be only good if you focus on self blocks.

It will be viable with a mace.

No it wont. Because Mace#3 has 15s recharge, the trait has 20s recharge, so you will have to count 5s after the Mace#3 has recharged. That wont be easy though because of other things: There is also passive Virtue of Courage which is going to trigger this trait when you dont want it to, putting it on recharge. Along with any other Guardians on your team who happen to use their active Virtue of Courage or Retreat which will mess up your cooldowns. With 360 range, you will be hard put to ever give Aegis to so much as one ally on activation, given that it does not even give Aegis to even yourself.

forum security

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Turtle Dragon.9241

Anet should be careful who they trust with these forums. These forums contain emails addresses, account names and passwords, that if not careful, can get into the wrong hands. Just look at the some of the major security breaches that have happened in the gaming and business history recently and the damages occurring as a result. Caution and security measures should be taken if anet does not want that to occur. Just a word of warning as a security measure. And i’m sure players would not want that either.

Do you honestly believe that these precautions arent already there? Also, since you appear to not understand this: your account name doesnt really amount to much. You cant log in with it. Also, since there’s something else you dont understand, Anet could have the most lax security regarding account information and IT WOULD NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. 2 step verification curbstomps that. If your account still gets breached, I have some bad news for you. Not anet’s fault. Only way they could bypass the verification is if your email was breached. No matter the amount of noise you make, that makes your account troubles your fault alone.

Your account name does not amount to much? I disagree.

Everytime i make a post on forums, i get a whisper from a goldseller in-game within the next few hours. If i do not post at all for like over 3 weeks but keep playing GW2 normally, i dont get those whispers at all.

It seems my account name is displayed in full on forums.
I really cant tell where these goldsellers are getting my account name from to whisper me in-game…oh wait.

That’s like the government giving your email address to every single scam sites out there…except that there isnt an auto-junk filter in-game like in emails…you have to block each goldseller spamming you manually.

I have reported and blocked every single one of them, there’s nothing that can be done about it since I cannot change display name, or stop the forums from showing my display name to everyone, is there?

Communal Defenses

Turtle Dragon.9241

Does this new Valor grandmaster trait apply to the Guardian blocking as well?

Short answer: Communal Defenses will not grant aegis to the guardian that is blocking.

I was looking forward to getting double Aegis from this trait when playing solo. I mean the trait already has an internal cooldown, so it is not like we could get Aegis from Aegis from Aegis indefinitely.

You are basically saying that this trait has absolutely no function for any Guardian playing solo, just like Battle Presence. Not only that, it has the awful 360 range. Meaning that if you Block while out of range of your allies even once, you lose your chance to apply the Aegis to any allies for another 20 seconds.

This trait is completely useless. At least make it so that it does not go on cooldown unless it has applied Aegis to at least 1 ally… It is not even anywhere close to Battle Presence which has a permanent on-going effect.

Nobody will ever take this trait now. It would have been viable if it applied Aegis to the Guardian as well on block, gaining a second Aegis(and allies as well) for 5s only then goes on 20s cooldown.

All of your ascended equipment will be account bound only(not soulbound anymore) soon. The crafts you can just keep on your guardian. Just make a warrior and transfer everything.

Just create 1 2 3 4 5 tabs at the top of the UI right beside the Refund Trait button.

I would instead like to suggest, if they ever implement templates, to have a separate Underwater traits template at the very least. Some traits are completely useless in underwater combat such as increased sword damage(no swords underwater) or minions. Having to switch traits every time you take a dive isnt fun.

This is like doubling taxes for mandatory health care coverage, when over 90% of the population is completely healthy in the first place.
You pay half of your salary to get that health care when actually going to a doctor when you are sick would cost you less than 10% of your salary in the first place.

Before, if you played “perfectly” you would never have to pay repair costs. Ever. This was incentive to perfect your skills because it saves money.
Now good players are practically paying extra repair costs, not from gold that comes out of their pocket, but from gold that will never enter their pockets.

However, you have to admit champ trains deserved a nerf. At least we got something decent in exchange for that. I mean, they could have just nerfed champ trains and say deal with it. Also, you cant really say champ train farmers are “perfect players”, or even “good players” for that matter.

I like this change partly. It makes repairs work similar to “-60% death penalty” in gw1, where zoning out would just remove it. But from now on, we can just hit any event boss for enough damage to get credit, then just go AFK because it wont cost us a thing anymore.

I think repairs should cost, because it rewards GOOD players. I think waypoints should be the one without a cost, because it promotes unhelpfulness(going to help my friend at some part of the world costs ME money). Waypoints are way more restrictive than Repairs.

If I make a new character right now

Turtle Dragon.9241

I need clarification on the trait blog, I just have a few questions about the transition.

I am planning to make a new character and use an Experience Scroll to get to level 20 right now(pre-feature patch). That character will remain level 20 until the feature patch hits live.

Starting with this feature pack, new characters will unlock the adept tier at level 30, the master tier at level 60, and the grandmaster tier at level 80.
Since my character was made before the Feature Patch hits, my new character will already have Adept traits and some trait points by reaching level 20 pre-Feature Patch.
Q: Does that mean I will still need Manuals to unlock each tier like right now, even post-feature patch?
Q: Or does that mean you will take away my current trait points until I get to 30?

All major traits will be locked on characters created after the feature pack. All existing characters created before this feature pack will have all previously existing major traits unlocked.
Q: Even though the character has not unlocked Master and Grandmaster tier yet, my new character created right now can skip all the annoying parts of unlocking 1-12 traits post-feature patch and have them ready to use upon reaching the level requirements of that tier, right?
Q: The requirement to unlock Grandmaster trait tier of my new character will still be level 60 post-feature patch, right?

Turtle Dragon.9241

There are many pointless restrictions that should be removed from this game.
The list is long.

Most prominent offenders:
Unique(Cannot equip two of the same Ascended Rings)
This restriction alone has caused more work for support than all other cases of anything else combined. This restriction serves no real purpose other than to frustrate players who have bought two of the same Ascended Ring.

Soulbound and other non-Account bound things such as WXP
Everything should be Account Bound. These restrictions promote alt-unfriendliness.

Explorable mode requires Story mode completion
This is another restrictive feature which is bypassed everyday. Never done Story mode, and never will. Do Explorable everyday, never had trouble finding someone who could get in. Why not just remove this restriction altogether?

Waypoints & Dungeons are contested
Nobody ever does the event/chain leading to uncontesting a Waypoint or Dungeon. Everyone just guests to another server which is open(we even have a website for it!). We only suck it up and do it if every single server has it contested. This restriction wastes our time doing something we do not want to do(the event chain) to get to what we want to do(the dungeon).

Guesting
You may only guest to two other servers per day. We should be able to guest to all servers freely.

Wishlist:
New Weapon combinations for every profession.
Cross-transmutable Armor looks(Mesmer can look Heavy, Guardian can look Light).
Removal of the Time-gating to obtain materials.
Selectable/Unlockable stats on Ascended Equipment.
Finally having all stats available on Ascended Trinkets/Jeweler 500.
Ascended Aquabreather available, or removal of the whole Aquabreather mechanic.

Perhaps you can do something like halve(or more) the chance of getting them from Plant Nodes, but the one thing that made Harvesting those plants(and the reason why some people bought the Infinite Sickles) was that you could get a dye from them.

Anyway, at least the Laurel Vendor should keep providing Dyes in exchange of Laurels.

Wait. Can the valor block proc from an aegis to begin with?

Yes, a block is a block. However, the question is whether it reapplies aegis to you as well(along with your party) once you block. It will not re-trigger a second time because of the 20s cooldown though. Unless you can go without being hit for 20s again.

If it does, we get double blocks.

The interesting part is multiple guardians running communal defense. One passive aegis block triggers a party-wide aegis, which triggers another party-wide aegis from another guardian…etc

Unfortunately, 14/14/14/14/14 is now gone from the game.
Now that traits have been modified to 1/5 of their distribution(14 trait points instead of 70 where each new trait point counts kitten old trait points), should we start using a new way to refer to builds?

Example:
66200 is equivalent to 30/30/10/0/0
12344 is equivalent to 5/10/15/20/20
05045 is equivalent to 0/25/0/20/25

I think this would be much simpler than typing 30/30/10/0/0, given that the traits now are single digits from 0-6. This is more in line with GW1 way of naming builds
(12 12 3 or 9 9 12).

Posted by: Turtle Dragon.9241

Turtle Dragon.9241

The question for Communal Defense now is:
Does blocking using Aegis boon(or Passive Courage) create another copy of Aegis immediately on you(and your allies)?

Because that would mean double block on every Passive Courage which triggers every 40s(and one time activation at 20s mark from any other active blocking source).

Then add in any Aegis or Blocking traits(heal on removal, might stacks on block), along with activating Virtue of Courage and Retreat, and you have yourself something that could potentially party-wide block a lot of 1-hits from any boss in PvE, or even survive two-backstabs in WvW without taking damage at all.

Let’s say the trait activates when you block with Aegis while using Virtue of Courage. You get a party-wide block(which triggers a block on you) which creates a second party-wide block. Nifty.

Unfortunately, it is located deep into the most hated trait line of Guardians, Valor.

I can still make a character with Mohammed. Where as anything with Jesus in it does not work.

And if somebody reports you, you will have to change your character’s name in 1.5 years from now.

Because you cannot make a Charr named Jesus. Charr have no gods. Someone made a Charr named Mohammed and was banned for inappropriate name after 1.5 years of using that name though. So Mohammed is also inappropriate, although it took 1.5 years to make a decision on this one.

Balancing works in two steps:
1. Warrior can do it too.
2. Warrior does it better.

Guardians have passive regen? So does Warrior, for triple the amount.
Mesmers have perma-vigor? So does Warrior. Not better? Nerf Mesmer perma-vigor.
Thieves can 1-hit people? So does Warrior, with the new Burst Precision + Kill Shot. And Warriors can do it at range too.
Necromancers have fear? So does Warrior.
Rangers have spirits? So does Warrior, indestructible, moveable banners, including an elite which instantly rez the champion lord in stonemist castle.

Stacking Sigils Update

-snip-

-snip-

As I said, where in those attunements does it make up for the sigils? There is nothing anywhere. If there was, you would have people currently claiming that Elementalists are OP, which they are not . You won’t read anywhere that they are, this would imply that these attunements in their current state given the sigils was not a problem. With this new change, they have now taken something away whereas other classes are gaining.

If you can point out something (anything) in all their skills that make up for stacking or double stacking of on kill effects, please point it out. We cant run a 30/30/30/30/30 build so where points lack, so does the effectiveness of that tree.

-snip-

Let me re-explain.

At maximum Arcana, an Ele can swap attunement every second, and when all attunements are on recharge, they have to wait 5 seconds and then can swap attunements again every second. Currently on-swap sigils have 9 seconds cooldown, therefore they do not activate everytime you swap attunement. Therefore nobody claims Eles are OP because they cannot do it yet(due to 9 seconds cooldown on the sigils). If that 9 seconds cooldown is removed though(or reduced heavily), then Eles could get huge amounts of Endurance from Sigil of Energy(or might stacks from Sigil of Battle). If my on-swap Sigil can proc so much as every 5 seconds instead of every 9 seconds(cooldown on weapon swap for other classes), then I get double the amount of procs of on-swap effects compared to any other class, although I can only get 2 different effects(sigils) instead of 4.

What we need to know, is what is the new cooldown on the on-swap sigils. Eles could easily be in a good position if there is a low or no cooldown on on-swap sigils because they could possibly proc their sigils twice(or up to 4 times) more often compared to any other class which have a 9 seconds cooldown when swapping weapons while in combat. If the cooldown remains 9 seconds though, then Eles are in a bad position and we should get a new system to compensate.

Stacking Sigils Update

Ele’s and Engi’s may have kits which people think “may” make up for it, but lets get real here…

There is still push-back to this day in WvW about how OP it is to stack Power/Cond, and Vitality stacks from killing guards. Even a little more outrage now that they can’t be removed on downed state (though I like that change). It seems a lot of people agree that having such buffs is somewhat over-powering.

If this is the case, then allowing only 4 classes to attain these buffs without having to give up anything significant in return does not put the other 2 on a level playing field. One of those classes is dreadfully hurting for vitality.

Yes, but Eles can swap attunements(therefore on-swap-sigils) way more often than any other class.

It comes down to whether the on-swap sigils have a cooldown or not anymore(previously had 9 seconds cooldown). If they dont, then Eles can get a lot of stacks of might from sigil of battle, or a lot of endurance from sigil of energy. I would say that if there is no cooldowns, eles would definitely have a different kind of advantage(more procs of the same sigil, less variety in sigils).

If the cooldowns still exist though, then we need a new system. For example, Eles can have 2 weapon slots just like everyone else and also swap weapons, but only to the same weapon. Eles could have a staff in each weapon slot(or scepter/dagger in each weapon slots respectively, etc) and each of the staff can have different stats, sigils and infusions(basically just like equipping a greatsword in both weapon sets of a guardian). That way they dont get extra skills, but get all the other benefits of sigils.

Flamekissed Refund?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Turtle Dragon.9241

I have not personally purchased the Flamekissed Armor prior to the change, but would like to know how the refund worked out for other players who did.

If you purchased the Flamekissed armor using Gems>Gold, did you get refunded 800 gems when you requested the refund?

If you purchased the Flamekissed armor using $10, did you get refunded 800 gems? Or did you get refunded your $10 back? Did they give you the choice between 800 gems back or $10 back?

How did they remove the armor from your Inventory? Did they simply use Transmutation Splitters on each piece of your Armor? Or did they restore the Armor pieces to what they looked like prior to Transmuting them?

You see, I have purchased the Zodiac Armor Skin previously using Gold>Gems. The March 18th patch has brought unnecessary and undesirable changes to the Zodiac Armor that I purchased. Some parts of the Armor have not been used yet because I was planning to use this on a new character soon(but not anymore after the change).

Am I eligible to get refunded 800 gems? This is not the Armor I purchased anymore. I feel that this is the same(or similar) situation to the Flamekissed Armor and should be treated as such.

How did the refund cases for the Flamekissed Armor work out in the end for you?

When is the feature patch come? And Season 2?

Why hasn’t anyone mentioned april? Why couldn’t it be april?

Because WvW Season 2 is running from March 26th to May 30th.
And they said before they would not introduce huge changes to gameplay during a WvW Season because it could have some side effects on the Tournament.

I think April falls between March 26th and May 30th? Not sure

This falls in the same category as Flamekissed Armor.
So I wonder if we could ask for refund,

If a gemstore item is changed after purchase, we should be eligible for a refund(in gems) regardless of whether we used real cash or in-game gold.

Did people who purchased Flamekissed Armor with gold>gems actually get gems refunded after the skin was swapped? How did they remove the skins off the Transmuted Armors?

When is the feature patch come? And Season 2?

I think the Feature Patch will be on May 31st.

Allie Murdock said the patch is not in June.
They said they will not make the changes during WvW Season because that will impact the Season.
May 30th is the last day of WvW Season 2.
May 31st is not in June, so what Allie Murdock said still holds true by 1 day.

Will the feature patch be good?

I am just pointing out that:

July 1st is not in June either.

I know how to turn words around too, see? I could totally be a dev…

1. Foefire’s Staff and Staff of the Mist.
I am tired of not having any good Staff skins other than Bifrost.
2. New Elite Skills.
There is only 1 viable Elite for each profession I play.
3. New Weapons for all professions.
Eles with Pistols, Guardians with Longbow. More variety even at the cost of balance. Right now, the game is barely balanced anyway. Add a lot of stuff at once to shake it all up and then balance it all up, instead of adding a little and doing whack-a-mole balancing on each new little thing introduced.
4. Precursor Scavenger Hunt and/or Precursor Crafting.
Farming gold and flipping the TP everyday to keep up with the buy orders of the Precursor you want is not my idea of fun. Buying gems to convert into gold to keep up with it is like admitting defeat. In my opinion, you are a loser when you use cheats to obtain any item in a video game. You are an even bigger loser when you spend real money to cheat and obtain any item in a video game. I would rather wait for Precursor Crafting to get my Legendary, or never get a Legendary at all.
5. Replayable Personal Story.
The whole quest chain could be reset by talking to an npc, and we are allowed to do it again. With this, we also remove one of the issues that causes problems for race/class/order change, because all of that has no more importance as Personal Story is no more written in stone. Nobody even remembers their Personal Story because they played it a year ago and only once.
6. Friend Chat Channel.
The one thing missing in GW2 compared to other MMOs. This was also missing in GW1. We are not always in the same guild or the same map, and a party can only contain up to 5 people to have conversations. But we are always on each others’ friend-lists. With a Friend Channel, I do not have to relay messages from one friend to another anymore. The reason why this is in wishlist and wont be implemented though is because of the way GW2 friendlist currently works: someone you add as a friend has not necessarily added you to their friendlist either, someone who added you to their friendlist is only on your followers list until you add them back.

Izzy literally invented the Guardian. He is the game designer. Proof in attachment.
Please take this as a joke, this is intended as such. No offense meant here. The resemblance is rather apparent though, I am sure the artists drew those skills after Izzy.

I would assume Izzy had the build first, he might have shared it with some people, who then spread it to more people, then someone decided to make it popular and took credit for “inventing the build”.

5) My Dye Sorting Preference – I have a ton of dyes, and I use them a lot. Sorting by HUE is the easiest, most logical way to find the color I’m looking for. On rare occasions, I will even sort by MATERIAL if I am looking for something that will provide a lot of contrast for metallic pieces. But every time I log into the game, I have to reset my preference from “SET”. Seriously? Sort by “Set”? What the heck is that? How can calling a dye “common” or “uncommon” or “rare” possibly help me locate the one I want? Please don’t force your preferences upon me every time. These are supposed to be my preferences.

I believe you can select your dyes as “favourites” and sort by that.

Can we get Banned for Kicking?

I kinda have to agree with Kaiyanwan here. This “hypothetical” situation seems awfully detailed… But maybe you’re telling the truth, and maybe you’re not. It’s not up to me to decide. Ultimately, I trust Support to review the chat and combat logs (they DO have records of what transpired in the instance) and act accordingly.

The situation is hypothetical because it has not yet happened. It is detailed and lists every action so that we can understand clearly what is bannable given that we legitimately kick that person for ruining the dungeon run and report us, we also invited a guildy because it was the first person who volunteered when we asked, and we received gold as a gift which is clearly not a sale/payment.

1. Is kicking a troll a bannable offense?
2. Is inviting a guildy to complete the dungeon after kicking someone else who was in the party for over half of the dungeon a bannable offense?
3. Is receiving gold from someone who voluntarily shares their reward with us, given that we helped that person receive said reward a bannable offense?

Again, we would like to know if any part of this series of event could get us banned.

I am sure everyone is already familiar with CoF P1 by now.

This is a hypothetical situation, but here’s the predicament:

We posted “LFG CoF P1 80s EXP Only” on LFG Tool.
We did the dungeon fine until the gate part.
One person in team does not know he/she has to stand in one of the four bubbles.
That person keeps killing the infinitely spawning mobs in the room.
We tried party chat to tell that person to stand in the bubble.
We tried whispering to that person to stand in the bubble.
That person refused and is threatening to report us if he/she gets kicked.
We cannot proceed to final boss because that person is not cooperating.
We either have to leave and start over, or kick him/her.
We chose to kick that person and get reported.
Since we still cannot proceed unless we get someone else, we invited a guildie.
The guildie said she was only in for the tokens, and said she wanted to share 30s with each of us out of the 1g26s she received at the end as thanks.

So in the situation here, we kicked someone and invited a guildie in his/her place at the end of the dungeon, and received money from that guildie. But we had to kick, it’s obvious.

It might seem like we did this on purpose by abuse-kicking that person, but it clearly is not. When we are 1-member short, the first place to ask is guild chat. We did not sell the run either, she decided to share her reward. We would feel bad to refuse a gift from her and return the mail.

Which part of this could get us banned? Does Arenanet check chatlogs when someone reports people for being kicked in dungeons? Is this considered abusive behaviour?

I believe the dungeon is badly designed on that part…
