It’s just sad really. I understand the concept behind doing this, Arenanet want more people to play with each other rather than be on ‘empty’ maps, but now server community has literally been destroyed in favour of global/world community.
Anet does not care about the hardcore PvE guilds that work together to do content, or the +5000 man guilds like TTS that was a crown example of a stellar community in GW2.
How incredibly short sighted and disrespectful it is for them to ignore a large portion of their playerbase and to throw them to the side of the curb just so that map explorers and newbies have people (complete strangers) to play with.
Sorry Anet, I understand what you’re trying to accomplish, but the benefits do not outweigh the negatives.
Megaservers is the # patch that has ruined this game. Worst patch ever. I don’t think Anet even realizes this, but then again this patch was designed for only casual players. They don’t care about organized guilds like TTS or players who like to play with people they know.
Good job Anet. Are you ever going to admit you made a mistake?
And TTS kitten ed hard by guesting to SoR, a server that does daily tequatl runs.
Might as well guest to Blackgate or Jade Quarry…
Why in the world are you selling things to vendor?! Ever since the luck change all salvageable armors/weapons are worth way more than the vendor price.
That’s how it works. If the Maw events start outside of it’s prescribed timer event, it will fail upon destruction of the totem.
When the Maw spawns at it’s time, it won’t fail at the totem.
tldr: Maw only works on schedule.
Anet just needs to release legendary dye effects that require a stack of unid dyes in the recipe.
Boom. 1G apiece.
You are 7/10 and we are what, 4 weeks in? There’s a lot of time left.
If you do not want to put in the effort to complete the achievements, then you do not deserve the rewards.
i know in rift “multiboxing” was perfectly legal.
in case you dont know, multiboxing is 1 guy with like usually 5 or so characters with the same exact set up stacked on top of each other. he uses 1 keyboard to control all 5 of them simultaneously. effectively making him as strong kitten (wow as “5” is blocked) people (but stronger since hes so coordinated)
Im assuming since its also an mmo, that gw2 would have a similar policy. Not that you’d something that exorbitant for what you’re doing.
The situation you described it most definitely not legal and would be grounds for a ban.
Multiboxing itself is legal, yes. You can have two accounts up and logged in on the same time (although running two accounts on the same client is questionable)
But you cannot be actively playing both at the same time.
I agree that the situation above would be wrong. But, I find myself a bit confused when I read the following in the official post: “3.You must be actively playing on each account.” How does one actively play more than one account? I’d guess that “active” may be something other than what I have in mind.
By that, they mean that you have to be putting in user inputs on each account. . You cannot be using some software or macro that allows you to play on one account, while the other account mimics the actions of the first one (that is botting). I don’t think they mean simultaneously playing since that would be quite a stressful multi-tasking action.

Mystics are incredibly valuable. Not sure why you are using them over the infinite kit considering it has a lower % return. I really hope you haven’t been salvaging all your rares with that inferior kit.
Any rares or exotics I get I generally use a BLSK for. Hence why mystics aren’t really all that handy for me. Use the Salv-0 for clearing out the blue and green junk overall that clutters space rather easily during dungeons, events or WvW stuff.
I find the mystics to simply be an unnecessary middle ground for me is all.
Using BLSKs on every exotic, let alone rares is a waste of gold. Only use them on armors/weapons guaranteed to give a chance at an insignia.
I can’t remember the exact rates since I ran out of BLSK a month ago, but a stack of BLSK could return a maximum of+125G but averaged about 60g or so. That’s +2G per use. This is why whenever I get a stack of BLSK from a daily I consider it like winning the lottery.
In fact, for a time, the gold/gem rate and the insignia/glob prices provided a window of opportunity to make, in theory, an ‘infinite’ gold loop.
Wish I could honestly trade or sell them, would gladly give them to someone who wants them.
With me having the Salv-0-Matic, no real use for Mystics. (Got plenty of BLSKs too) so honestly they are just collecting bank space for me.Don’t plan on using them for RNG forging either, too unreliable.

I’ve always had the theory that mystic forge stones had a higher chance at returning a precursor. After all, the old tooltip showed something like “has a chance to give something better”
(one of my stone forges was a precursor)
I just wanted to ask VOL… if your eyes bleed much? LOL That’s a crazy amount of goodies in your bank.
Funny I haven’t updated it in awhile. You should see it now lol.

Look at sig. MF works. I have a huge sample size.
Real supply of unid dyes is going to drop considerably. But will the demand for unid dyes ever become so large that it overcomes the effects of supply? That’s the big question for unids going forward.
The price of dyes in the future IMO will largely be driven by the demand side.
Everyone knows dogecoins are superior.
This guide is officially nerfed and nowhere near close to 400g a week. I’m requesting to close this thread since it is no longer viable.
Here is what they nerfed:
-metaevent farming
-WP jumping
-Angaria farm
-Grenth farm (kill event is much harder to complete, but defense is the same)
The only viable farms are Balthazar and Melandru.
Closing remarks:
I’ve been farming this game since release and whatever Anet does to nerf people who hardcore farm this game is, to quote, “all is vain”. You can keep nerfing all these events all you want Anet, but farmers will keep on going on to the next thing. Sooner or later, you’ll end up with a game with nothing to play for because there are no rewards.
Let’s look through the history of nerfed farming since Day 1!
Plinx -> Shelt/pen – > grubs – > fish heads – > Lyssa – > Anchorage ember -> Cokittenevered Breach – > FGS train
-> and now these nerfs
This definitely won’t be the last.
Keep making bad decisions Anet and you will have plenty of people leaving because you fail to realize that there are people who play the game different than casual players, who are the target of this dreaded patch.
Or you probably won’t realize it, because you are afraid to admit that this patch was a bad decision and wish to save face. Whatever.
QUICK EVERYONE INVEST IN TEARS OF GRENTH!!
Actually, the more gold there is in the game, the more expensive items become right? As for the super-rich TP traders, what can you do? The 1% exists even in real life.
60% tax on anyone that’s super rich.
I know people that have 30 000 gold and gladly manipulate it. Gold has been taken out of f the economy, but as long as 1% are there prices will continue to rise instead of falling.
How do you define rich?
If I had 30,000 gold I would just stockpile it in vendor priced items.
There are many loopholes that I would take advantage of.
Players who farm champions or do dungeon runs are the ones that make gold in this game.
People who play the TP are the ones that take this gold from players who are too careless/impatient/lazy
Ok thanks for playing the game
The fact that they have nerfed farmers, nerfed hardcore content timing and discouraged organized raids show that GW2 has shifted towards the casual player side.
We are most certainly headed for deflation, as the only significant gold faucet in this game is dungeon running.
Champ runs have been nerfed considerably, and FGS trains have been destroyed.
It’s too early to provide proof or see this right now, but this is something that will take a few months to see.
Keep in mind that when looking at inflation, you look at a basket of items/goods. You can’t look at one item and see changes in prices as an indicator of inflation/deflation. Nor can you look at the prices of legendaries and make the same conclusion.
Yeah I don’t know why they ‘lied’ when in the blogpost they said they wouldn’t be implemented in Orr.
Then today they say it’s activated for Straits (as well as Malchors)
Why are there megaservers in Orr? I thought the blogpost said that megaservers would not be in Orr due to temple scheduling and the problems involved. But the list in the post today shows Straits is included.
Oh my goodness a business didn’t respond to an inquiry within 1 day…[insert anger]
seriously man…wait the standard 5 business days that all businesses apply to. BE happy that Anet is even friendly/lenient with that standard and encourages a 3 day wait instead…
Hi, I’m new here, which legendary should I pick?
;3
Since the start I’ve given away probably close to 200G, which is a really really small %
I used to run around Queensdale and send 1g to random people (adding to friendslist to see if they are in fact new).
I don’t do it anymore cause, meh.
Also, I’ve come across quite a few people who get greedy and ask for more, and I hate that.
Unid dye is now up to 23 after reaching 17s yesterday (where I bought all my stacks)
will that be enough to make up for your bad investment?
Break even was 20s so I making 3s profit. Total profit would be +-200g, but I haven’t sold yet.
But who knows where the price will end up. There is too much fluctuation that it’ll take a while to settle.
btw unid is now up to 24.

ATM, having Liadri is the only way to gauge player skill.
Difficult content like teq/wurm can be easily carried, while dungeon completion can be bought.
Legendaries/AP are also not a sign of player skill, but wealth/time.
sPvP ranks can be farmed, and WvW is less about individual skill and more about group cohesion and strategy.
I hope that when we return to Queen’s Gauntlet, we end up having rewards gated behind the completion of difficult bosses.
Yes, the casuals and bad players will complain but there is more than enough content for people who want things easy.
Ok Lockon here is the secret.
Go play the trading post. If you can, get your guild together and manipulate the market like Team Legacy did when the game first launched. That should net you a lot of coin and screw as many people in the community as possible. If you want to do it legit just watch items on 3rd party sites that track those sort of things.
This should help you get started:

lol TL.
That brings back memories.
Good ol TL vs Titan
The people who say you can’t make gold in this game obviously don’t know how to make gold in this game.
It’s like asking a beggar how to be rich.
This seems very exploitable.
Botting companies would have two botting guilds constantly farm each other for loot.
And how could a non-botter report or see these type of players if the server is closed?
I got 250 unidentified dyes at 17.2 silver yesterday.
With enough time, these should be highly profitable. The laurel change was unexpected.
See this is what I thought about when I purchased all those dyes.
But there is always a give and take.
While supply will be limited in the near future, and the low price right now is a one-time supply dump, what can we say about demand? Since dyes are account bound now, there is no incentive to purchase dyes if you have the whole palette unlocked.
Nope.
I farmed a lot yesterday and I didn’t notice any nerf.
I impulse purchased 600g worth of unid dyes.
I regretted it immediately.
In real life I also get burned by impulse purchases…
I really should start putting my gold in the guild bank
Don’t gamble on forge.
Since this is your first, I assume you don’t have a lot of gold. It can be depressing losing all of it.
I have the opposite question: Why do I have to do the monthly over? I finished it already and I don’t want to do it again!
You are getting a chance at an extra reward and you’re complaining about it?
You know you’re not forced to do them?
see sig 10chahr
Well if you’re going to ask for vehicles then I request – no, I demand we include planes and bombers as well.
This is a spreadsheet I use for tracking dungeons/metaevents, the latter being useless with the megaservers coming today. But for dungeons it’ll do

As someone with color blindness that can’t really tell the difference between the yellow border, green border, and orange border, this change has done nothing for me. If anything now I get kittened off more when I think I’ve got some exotics in my bag only to find out they are masterwork.
Sure I could toggle it off, but being able to see the blue stuff easier if still a convenience, even if everything else is essentially the same for me.
protip: you can type ‘rare’ in the search box which brings up all rare-quality items. Same with other grades.
So Colin just confirmed that the ‘quarterly or so’ comment did not come from them:
“Just want to quickly clarify, we gave no timelines on additional feature packs or timing of any other releases. All we’ve said is the feature pack concept has been good for us so far, and we plan to do another feature pack someday.”
what websites are you talking about? Mind linking them here for me pls?
I`d appreciate
It’s best not to distribute these websites since it encourages more people to participate. But it’s easily findable if you google it.
This website has general advice that is available throughout the site, as well as private, monthly subscription forums that, from what I hear, are rife with people who create artificial hype and demand for items to pump and dump.
One of the best in recent times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxb46Bd5OoU
That is a well-made video
The one thing we can take out of this is that there will be at least two more feature patches this year if they keep along with the quarterly feature updates.
That would put the next updates at August and December.
I find that extremely unlikely.
OP didn’t link the article:
“Every quarter or so, ANet will release a new feature pack bringing in tons of new quality of life improvements”
Honestly, I wouldn’t read too much into it.
There have been numerous blog posts over the years that contained the same promises to deliver content that have ultimately fallen through.
If they can manage to stay on schedule, that’s fantastic news; however, I wouldn’t hype it up because you’re only going to end up disappointed.
Can you link some of those blog posts that promised something that they didn’t actually do?
The Precursor scavenger hunt is the only one that comes to mind at the moment, and that’s hardly “content”, so anything else?
precursor crafting and new legendaries were content that was planned for F13 but delayed/shelved.
Precursor scavenger hunt was discussed even farther back but no plans were made.
