Just good use of stealth to break target and positioning along with some unpredictability. It helps to change direction and juke while you’re invisible. When you reappear, try to fake being a clone for as long as is practical. If you dodge roll as soon as you appear, it’s a screaming sign HERE I AM.

I’m P/D. If I’m leading the dance, I’ll win eventually. If the mesmer can mess me up and keep me from latching on, I’m going to have to bail to reset it.

Interrupting Hide in Shadows, our heal, that’s extremely inconvenient to me. Ditto if you can mess up Cloak and Dagger, my go into stealth melee move. I’ll want to hit you with it, but I have absolutely no problem doing it to your clones or handy critters.

We should make it a standard operating procedure to twist this concept to our advantage against the uneducated masses without fail, but never fall victim to it.

I know what I’m doing, but last night during Warden 3 my platform got 4 people downed by what I’m assuming was one bomb. I never saw it. I asked if any of them saw it and no one ever bothered replying to me.

We must have missed seeing it. This bothers me, since everything in my head is screaming there was no bomb.

After Liandri, I can get behind the ease of use of the orangeness.

I guess there are worse places she could be shooting the beam from.

Thief underwater is decent with movement on the harpoon gun and evasion on the spear. It helps to learn the other class underwater skills as well. That helps you figure out when it’s best to flat out run.

Try to grab whatever utilities will work best for how you play. It’s better to make the best of it than not try to deal with it at all. Even if the best thing is loading up on whatever helps you run better. Swim better. Whatever.

2 wins this weekend. It’s just getting lucky with not having someone clueless who doesn’t listen to mapchat in more than 2 lanes.

I find that it’s kinda hard to level charr, because of the way the heart quests ’n all are spread.

It should be easier to level, since you can lay waste to all in your path.

I zoned into the bomb one once into the downed state. I’m assuming I appeared next to a bomb that was put out there during the time it took me to get into the gate.

I guess you can, but if you do, try to join a lane that has more people than it needs and please do not go into the energy fields to sever the chains. There’s a very risky chance that you probably can’t take or deal enough damage to help out with the champs.

Then again, if there’s not enough people, you can’t make it worse. So, yeah, but hopefully you get my point. If you’re going to do it, try to learn everything you can about the event from here on the forum and dulfy’s before going in.

This sort of uncertainty makes me dissatisfied and keeps me from using money, instead of gold, to get the gems for my next 3 character slots.

I prefer my achievements to not be dependent on the performance of others.

Go into trait lines for the traits, not the stat bonuses, unless you’re really hard up to get more boon duration or condition duration.

I just think of it as sorta a charr version of Bruce Lee.

I had trouble on my guardian until I started trying to hang with teammates more, which makes sense with a support build. The virtues and shouts should be used for the teamwide boons, not only as condition clears.

Survival is more about pacing your abilities and getting a feel for knowing when to weather the storm instead of panic popping skills. Don’t be afraid to bail out if you know you’re going to lose a fight. If you’re not going to be able to hold out any longer for help to arrive, then there’s no point in giving the other team another 5 points.

I had to learn to trust in the Hammer auto-attack. The protection from the symbol is very helpful and all the strikes hard hitters. That’s your damage to them while cutting the incoming pain while you hopefully have some regen running.

It took me about 150 sPvP games before playing guardian clicked... I was an utter disaster when I first started with meditation DPS. I wasn’t too good at support either. I had a bad habit of waiting until I was almost dead to pop F2 and F3 and holding my shouts for condition clearing. Even Shelter, sometimes you got to use it for the blocks instead of using it as a heal.

Guardian isn’t as straightforward as you’d think it is, but once you sort it out, you’re good to go.

Funny thing is, it didn’t click for me until I went back to a meditation build for 2 sPvP nights. That just drove home the point that it really is all about using skills at good times, not just because the cooldown is up.

It helps me to focus only on the character’s feet and the next place you want to land. To be honest, when I’m locked in, I don’t even see the toon. Just the position of where I am and where I want to be.

With that said, after going norn/charr, it takes me about 5 minutes to refocus and do the same JP with my asura... so I’m not focusing hard enough.
