I think he had the right mix of attitude and self awareness. It was almost like dealing with his parole officer. Yes, I did a bad thing, but I was doing it for a good reason.
Liked his reaction to Anise’s "but you got caught". He was all "wait, wut?"
First we say too much Trahearne and now not enough Trahearne?
It really won’t end well, either way.
It was not in the loot chest/bag. You have to talk to Rox. Go back, do the statue fight, talk to Rox and you’ll get it. Happened to me, so what VodCom said.
Iron Legion mentality is mainly about using technology to solve your problems, which seems at odds with what being a Ranger is all about.
Artillery needs forward spotters to guide shots. There ya go.
Off the top of my head, I’d say the charr can.
I’d imagine that you’d be rather kill-on-sight by any Flame Legion that recognizes you, traitors being the lowest-of-the-low. The other Legions will most likely see you as worth less than gladium until you find acceptance and prove your worth in a warband. That would probably be a long drawn out process, since you have to deal with suspicion before you start gaining trust.
I would love to know what about Rytlocke has given you the impression that he is as soft and fluffy as a common housecat.
That drill sergeant tough guy persona is just an act to keep us from knowing the warm and fuzzy Rytlock underneath.
“Underworld” Dun DUN DUN!
Miami?
My first sylvari spent a lot of time Dreaming about cookies so it was only natural for her to develop talents around sneaking in the kitchens to snatch snacks.
My second woke up beside a fern hound pup she named Barky and the ranger thing just happened from there.
That and as sylvari, you don’t have much tradition to follow. Blaze your own path. If your sylvari decides his name is John Smith then that’s what it is.
I was kind of pleased with Braham and Eir starting to get over their issues. It was his sudden intro and "Eir has a kid wut" that felt off to me.
I guess it’s kind of Norny that it would be in a "my mom/son can really kick kitten" way.
The personal story had a predetermined ending. It was like driving from Bradenton to Tampa. Sure I can go up 19, or 301, or I-75, but those 3 roads more or less run parallel to each other up within 10 miles of the coast. If I was adventurous, I could have taken the Skyway instead through St Pete and still gotten up there.
We were Trahearne’s right hand man. Woman. Plant. Charr. Whatever. For the story. He was the planner, we were the doer.
The story was an interesting ride. There had to be some railroading, because it was a personal story for every single person playing the game. So yeah, our role could be recast. I’m going through the whole thing for the 8th time now, picking choices according to the character I’m on.
If anything, I’m glad there’s some choice in the playthroughs. It doesn’t feel nearly as going down a checklist top to bottom as it could have been.
Taimi is in a bad spot. If she annoys the old guy too much, I’m sure he can tie her down in so much red tape she’ll never leave Rata Sum until she’s an adult. He’s a councillor and she’s a ward of the state. Her best bet would have been to stay off the radar as much as possible.
The only thing allowing Taimi any freedom at the moment is her project. Phlunt’s in a win/win. If it works, he gets credit for his "supervision", if he doesn’t flat out take all the credit. If it doesn’t, he loses nothing and gets to make her life hell for it.
As to calling you her assistant, Jorn nails it. I want to add that Taimi is making sure she acts in an expected way towards non-asura. If she doesn’t, Phlunt would probably decide her time around them is affecting her judgement, making her soft, all that, and restrict her freedom in the name of appropriate supervision.

Can ya tell I’m in Florida?
My asura warrior started out as a krewe technician until brain damage from an accident cost her the ability to read and write. Zuulja was then "volunteered" into a professional test subject position involving different mixes of combat stims and performance enhancing drugs. They keep so happy that she doesn’t really notice any of the resulting bloodlust, anger issues, or inability to speak coherently or perform simple math.
Unhappy times. Unhappy.
It’s nearly impossible to do leaps with the crystals due to the lag, which only exists in public. Everything’s fine for me in Dry Top instances.

7. Let the 5 person in 4 v 5 volunteer to spectate for win/match credit.
Buffy: Love makes you do the wacky.
Everquest was the first game I got into that had factions.
I just want it to work more smoothly.
Now I’ve had it leap me back, take a few steps forward, then backpedal really fast. Not to mention getting walked off the edge of Skyhammer a few times during the effect.
Taimi did just say that people worry about appearances too much, since it’s what’s on the inside of your head that counts.
“I fought Liadri and all I got was this lousy Title”
Alex Trebek: And the answer is: This movie title is taken from the name of the book “Gone With The Wind.” Mr. Sean Connery.
Sean Connery: Dolly Parton!
Alex Trebek: Titles, Mr. Connery…
Be careful that the "new" backpeddle doesn’t send you over the edge of cliffs and the Skyhammer map. I could have sworn I was fine distance-wise, but nope.
Ditto.
On the plus side, they’re fulfilling my expectations that I’ve adjusted due to experience.
This won’t end well.
Ya left out trouble hitting the Sucky In Orbs with some ranged attacks.
I got to keep all those knives for Dagger Storm tucked away somewhere, ya know? - Zestee, Leafy Thiefy
I am anything but common! I am a graduate of the College of Statics, with a specialty in toxicology learned from only the most knowledgeable of hylek. I am dedicated to efficiency and delight in finding new ways to use old materials. I believe the dead have unlimited untapped potential. I am a Cryptician, and more precisely prefer to refer to myself as a Bureaumancer of Necrotic Efficiency.
Imagine having a workforce that didn’t require rest, sustenance, occupational safety, and best of all, fair compensation for their time or work! The dead would be the perfect unskilled workforce. People are just disposing of bodies. Waste! I’ve just had unforeseen challenges with the implementation of training and control of the reanimated laborers.
Layman’s terms? They bloody keep trying to kill us. NO! No, that’s not why I’ve lost all my independent research funding and was placed under constant Arcane Council supervision. There was an incident. With puppies. On "Bring Your Progeny to Work Day". I figured I should start with something easy like pets you didn’t have to feed. Since they were technically dead. The puppies. Not the progeny. Initially. I still maintain their progenitors were negligent.

My gods, first I went ahead and got Diablo III’s expansion because the dailys were borked last week. What’s next, me finally checking out Hearthstone?
Please stop trying to improve my playing experience. Ah well, off to Arenas because.
Edit: Only 5 minutes in solo Q for the first one to pop. REALLY?
(edited by WyldKat.4712)
Ditto. It was fine for a match or two, then nothing, without bailing on a server.
I never intended to get the Diablo III expansion, but I had a lot of fun mindlessly hacking stuff this weekend.
They’re probably buried in these problems and trying to dig through them with fixes. Someone to say "got it, working on it" would have to be stuck here full time and would be one less person trying to unbork things.
But yeah, this is annoying.
Ditto with the dailys not resetting, no laurel. Woe is me, all that.
From my Fresh Air S/D point of view.
* Work with teammates.
They can free you up to unload damage or save your butt. It’s actually a team game, ya know.
* Learn how to react to Thief burst.
It is a constant danger. Save some CD’s to deal with it, or you’ll die a lot. Ok, a lot more. But your reactions need to become automatic.
* Terrain and distance are vital.
Take the extra time to move into hard to get places. Your time is spent dealing damage or trying not to get gibbed. The more time it takes to find and reach you, the more you have to tee off on them.
* Pick your fights well and run if you need to.
Sometimes you need to get in and hold a point, but sometimes it’s better to bail and hook up with your team instead of giving them 5 points on top of the taking a node.
PS - Ele does feel like it takes a lot more effort to make work, in my experience, but is still fun most of the time.
I’m doing pretty decent with a Fresh Air 30 - 20 water - 20 arcane S/D. It’s the sixth class I’ve worked through the paces in PvP (warrior and ranger to go).
I absolutely work overtime to take advantage of positioning, terrain and teammates, especially compared to the other 5 classes I’ve used. Holding abilities in reserve to use as escapes has worked better for me than using them as all-in damage moves.
Fresh Air has no margin of error. If you pick a bad situation to fight in or flub up, you’re toast.
I actually didn’t notice any real damage nerfage last night. It seemed to me that I might even be hitting harder, but I bet that’s just because some people must have forgotten to retrait or I just ran into a lot of zerker glass last night.
I run P/D thief and I can get most mesmers just by sticking in close and using clones to CnD. The ones I can’t get are the ones that I just can’t seem to pin down. They move and use stealth and terrain very well so I can’t seem to stay on them. Eventually, I just wander off.
Here’s my leafy thiefy. Determination headband and T2 if I remember right. I’ve since tweaked the black to a yellow to brighten her up and to go with her skintone some, rest is just purple/white.
“Shut up, Talking Bear! You were not brought upon this world to get it.”
The other voices in my head are telling me to ignore the new ones...
The first 5 is never wasted if you’re on the way to 10.
In this case, still better than Last Refuge for Thief.
The conversation between ’tron and Evon makes a ton more sense after seeing the golem in there rezzing people during the fight. Nice to see them maintain some continuity between stuff in the world and in the events.
"You want to be able to take damage...?"
Love makes you do the wacky.
It doesn’t help that most thieves are terrible with shortbow.
I can’t explain it. I used to be able to hit anything like it was magic or something. Now, the arrow goes where I aim and I can’t hit nothing.
I’ll chime in (PD) and agree with jamming in close to the mesmer. The ones that give me trouble are the ones I can’t quite get in on. That just turns into the stalemate until one of us wanders off.
This won’t end well.
So, yea … Mesmer’s fashion sense is OP. Discuss.
Of course it is. They never need a mirror to see how good they look.

Strixdottir?
It could be one of those "go in there or I’ll kill you all NOW" things. It wouldn’t be the first time she’s given her own people that kind of encouragement.
Every Thief craves something new and tries so hard to find it through our extremely limited options so you can’t really expect too much.
That’s why we Steal.

We said that in our guild Mumble too. The Kerrigan bit.
I still say I’d be the cutest lil zergling in a Starcraft MMO.
