Any good tier match ups?

To be honest, tier 2 is pretty boring. I’m happy with my choice to transfer back to FA, but JQ and YB are two of the 3 worst servers I’ve ever had the displeasure of fighting against. The other is DB. They’re all 3 boring to fight, they run and hide behind walls and use siege every chance they get unless their group is 2x your size or more. Then they may still build open field siege lol….

With FA beefing up our coverage, I suspect we’re going to be stuck with JQ and YB for awhile unless they implode. I do miss the fights in T3… :\

Lets be more honest here, this happens on every server, even your own. The more organized the group that’s on the less you may see of it, but pugs always look for the advantage, whether that’s open field siege or running to a tower to wait for more numbers.

My two least favorites is YB and Mag, YB cause of siege up the yinyang, their keeps are usually loaded with ac, trebs, omegas to defend with. Mag cause every corner there’s a thief, every other step there’s a dh, or a tempest, or a scrapper looking to drop you with a friend, and condi everywhere, I think warriors are an extinct species on that server.

I assume this wouldn’t be for the free to play accounts. Wvw players came in here and asked anet to raise the level restriction to get into wvw for new accounts, and they did by setting it to level 60. So that players wouldn’t get free accounts on every server to easily spy. If you buy/upgrade to HoT you get a level 80 boost anyways.

I can agree to making the level 80 wvw up level boost a little stronger(basically exotic level), especially given that the revamped traits and elite specs have raised the power of a maxed out level 80. Maybe not give the extra skills/traits out until earned as it is now and that would be the disadvantage, because there needs to be some disadvantage between an up level 80 to a maxed out level 80 that a person took time to work on. You can access all your skill slots by level 31 anyways, just not your traits.

If your friends are playing WoW, they’re paying $15 a month, and $40 for the core game, not including all of the expansions, they’re pretty used to spend money like that.

Just want to note they add the old expansions to the base game($20) whenever the latest expansion for wow is about to come out (they just did it again last month for wod expansion), because they are always adding levels or class or race, you can’t skip any expansions. Plus it keeps players interested in the game and buying the new expansion whenever they get up to it in levels (or wait out another 2 years and get it for free).

The same went for HoT you can’t access those areas unless you’re 80, which is why they threw the base game in there for free, to make it easier to access. They can’t exactly keep charging for the older content because it gets to a point where new players would be turned off having to pay for all that content still.

May as well do the server merges now for the lower tiers because trying to get 3 or more servers coordinated and then get shuffled again every two months is probably going to frustrate and wear out a lot of commanders and players.

Can you imagine if that 4 link was a permanent merge? lol. Then again they would just rise in ratings anyways, but holy hell the complaints the other servers would have.

Tier 1 is good and very fun. However, the match up will probably not remain the same.

I get the feeling BG is hibernating this week to feed glicko to DB, and TC isn’t pushing that hard either. I’m sure JQ will be back in t1 soon too once they leeched enough off of YB.
DB, JQ will be flipping t1/2
YB, Mag will be flipping t2/3 maybe.


As for the links, I don’t expect it to be the long term solution. Servers will continue to lose population especially the linked ones as players continue to move to hosts or leave the game. Once they all get down to a low enough population, permanent merges can be looked at, and at that point players should be more receptive of it too.

If you look at the recent release notes you see some of those changes are already in the game.

Many of those remaining items were controversial.

  • Skirmishes would make the already complex system even more complex
  • Last Stand diminishes the early matchup war efforts
  • Upgraded Objectives Higher Score benefits the blob tactics
  • Points for Capture could lead to EotM like karma-training
  • Rewards could promote server stacking and influx of PvE players

The only thing that was controversial was the “suggestion” of adding scoring multipliers to peak times. But that was just a last resort plan if the other scoring changes had little impact to overnight runaway scores. Which a lot of people glossed over and thought it was part of the plan to be implement, so the issue blew up.

Linked Worlds Transfer Restrictions

Unless they changed recently, free account DO have to pick a server when they are created like anyone else. Worst: they can’t just delete all characters and transfer out for free like a full account (even without HoT you can do that if you had paid for base game). You have to entirely make a new account or upgrade it if you ever want to move.

Still works that way, just tried it last week with one of my free accounts. So handing them a free transfer doesn’t bother me.

About Full Server Status (And Guilds)

You seem a little confused. The issue is not that people did not know the links were not permanent. The issue is that since all the hosts server were artificially locked when linking was introduced, the only way to play with that server was to transfer to the linked server.

Therefore there were people who were in guilds that were ready to keep moving to linked servers until a host opened up. The problem is that with the second relinking, all tier one servers were unlinked and BG was kept full meaning that all those players on ET that transferred to play with us were locked out with no way to get on the server.

Whether or not any of you like or hate BG is completely irrelevant, this is about people wanting to play on the server they choose with their friends and guilds, and instead were locked out with no advance notice whatsoever.

I’m not confused, everyone knew BG was stacked from the very first week of links. Players moved to ET in order to either play with BG community for the duration of the link, or go to ET to join guilds on BG already, it does not matter, either way was a risk that you would not be with BG with the next linking.

If you want BG to open up for transfers it needs to get down under the current population caps. I know it’s lose players in order to get players?, but lose some guilds and maybe get some guildmates on. Every other t1 server has already shed players. While that isn’t BG’s problem, it’s the reality, and it wouldn’t be fair to open BG up for transfers when their opponents are not even on their current level.

I don’t hate or like BG, I just don’t like people coming in here asking for favors for BG, which has the biggest population still, while obvious to the rest of wvw server population problems. I’m for balanced populations, not for the one to rule them all.

If they want to get on BG that bad, save their gems and wait.

About Full Server Status (And Guilds)

It does not matter if the guilds can´t join a full server, but at least to a guild already in a server let the players join (to play with my friends). This system has flaws but i think is a good idea.

Invite random guy.
Random guy transfers to BG.
Random guy leaves guild.
+1 to BG population.
Repeat until bandwagon complete.

No gold or gems to move when you’ve been on BG for how long now? ok stop buying wings off the gem store?.

To the guys crying about losing members due to the links, you kitten well knew the link wasn’t permanent, if you cross server recruited that’s a risk you take. Every server except BG has been taken off full at some point already since the links happened. If you plan on moving prepare your gems.

The only servers that have this problem with players locked is all the current/former t1 servers, the 20 other servers don’t care, they’ve been losing guilds to your recruitment efforts for the last 3 years, no sympathy.

You all got free badges for no effort in wvw, how nice, if only they could have done that to say hmmm dungeon tokens.

It takes 8-9 hours to do a reward track, less if you have the wvw potions from the dailies.

Who is this that got free badges?

If you earned your wvw badges then good on you.
If you did it before the change for the purpose of getting the gift of battle, why did you wait to get it?
If you’re a wvw player, why are you complaining on something you can get for just playing wvw as usual?

You do realize you had to WvW to get those 500 badges of honor before right? You also realize that with the decrease in drop rate it made it even harder for “PVE ONLY” people to get those 500 badges? Have you even tried the reward track yet? Its actually an improvement on the old system for those of you who don’t like WvW. If you are adverse to fighting in WvW, take the Karma train on Edge of the Mists with a buff. I did this track in one day running through the mists. Much faster than grinding out 500 badges. Just because something has become inconvenient because you now cant get it right away does not make it a bad method. Try it first then bring your criticism.

Pffft the one dev playing wvw is probably in the music department. Only seen 1 dev lately in wvw and it was on BG where they’re were protected by their blob, probably enjoying all those buffs.

Think you’re asking the wrong crowd, most wvw players wouldn’t care, it’s not painful to obtain through reward tracks, we just need to select the track and play as usual.

Doing world complete in pve is more painful, grinding the other 95% of a legendary for stuff like dungeon tokens is painfully boring.

We should cycle EOTM map into EBG sometimes

You know thinking about it, in the beginning when they were planning on an overflow map for queues, they should have just reused ebg as the eotm map, and used that year on developing a second borderland map instead. We could of had 3 borderland maps by now.

Which would have probably led to mass qq about that map considering the designs they used in there, but maybe the desert borderland map would have been better because of lessons learned from that fiasco.

Getting HoT trait line will take months?

Hero points in hot gives you 10 points, you need 250 out of the 400 available in hot.
Takes you less than 2 hours maybe to get the required hero points, just follow the videos on dulfy. Less time if you have old world points, and know the maps, which you will after a first run through with dulfy videos. There’s also hero point trains that run in the zones sometimes.

You will need gliding mastery at minimum on the account.

1. No, not with the size of the teams being uneven at almost all times, population and coverage differences. Wvw is too big to pull that off properly.

2. Maybe. People like playing competitive games with the goal of winning. While some people just like to fight, wvw still needs something to drive it for most players, and ppt is it. You can still find competitive areas in wvw, but not as a whole.

3. No, it never will be given the size of wvw, it needs equal size for all sides, much like any competitive sport. Too many other unbalanced things exist in wvw for it to be considered competitive, including the scoring system. GvGs are said to be competitive, which in part thanks to equal sides fighting, much like spvp but with 2-3x the numbers. Scoring will never be competitive without gimmicks to keep it close though.

3rd BL Map suggestion (with "drawing")

When you’re creating maps keep some things in mind.
There needs to be 3 ways out of a spawn for every side.
There needs to be an equal amount of camps, towers, keeps as the other borderlands, so it provides the same total ppt.
Every capture area needs to have a purpose attached to them, whether it’s keeps that hold your spawn points, or towers that allow you to siege other structures or provide buffs or give access to other areas.
Need some open areas to promote fights, even tunnels and lane ways should be big enough for a zerg to run through and not have things like the camera be obstructive, ebg has a lot of good examples of these.

Scoring update is still being worked on, skirmish scoring system.

Class balance, skill balance isn’t really in wvw team hands it seems, but the spvp team.

QoL changes like cross map chat will be brought back up on the next major project poll, when scoring changes are done.

Reward tracks are the same as the spvp tracks. It would be nice if wvw was rewarding enough that you could skip pve for the most part for stuff like guildhall upgrades, but I doubt that would ever happen.

Use your badges and proof of heroics on siege? or proof of heroics to buy all the recipes on the notary? they’re in your wallet not taking up bank space so who cares?

Optimization is not exactly the wvw teams job, they can relay the problems but I don’t think they’re in charge of the server backend. Lag has been present from day one, it will always be present when a mass amount of players are in an area. The only times I ever experience skill lag these days is in massive smc fights, but not always.

1. World completion including wvw again? meh, do we really need more pve players to come in and complain to us? They did for a couple years and eventually it was taken out.

2. Marketing with a wvw trailer? meh maybe, have you seen anets trailers? nothing really to get excited about. Living story is a big deal for pve players, or other holiday events, it needs something like that to promote wvw, like the weekly/weekends events as suggested in another thread. Obviously not stuff that’s overly pve in nature, as they’ll just annoy the wvw players.

3. Seasons, maybe, when the scoring changes come in, the matchups are actually looking balanced this weekend (other than t4 which shouldn’t have a 4 link). But then again what’s the point, the tiers look like they’re basically their own now and cannot compete with each other, t1=gold, t2=silver, t3=bronze, t4=4linkcopper. Can’t really run a tournament off that.

Wvw legendary backpiece, yes.

4. We have achievements, a lot of which pve players don’t have anyways. But yeah need some new fun ones to get.

True on the marketing but I also think they couldn’t figure out a way, nor would it have been a good idea to, limit play to particular maps based on purchases. But when you spend that much development as a feature to release at the same time as an expansion its more it was given free to people that didn’t want to buy the expansion. The concept of a new map encouraged a lot people to go HoT and then later they stated everyone would get it.

It was given for free much like eotm, because the way wvw works you don’t want to limit access to it through expansions, the same with spvp. You can try and limit other things like the guild upgrades or elite specs, but not the maps or you’ll separate your player base from each other.

I very well knew it would be given for free based on that, which made my decision on buying HoT even tougher, I didn’t need HoT for that but then I got information on the guildhalls and it kicked me in the head, well I guess I have to get it if I wanted to help my guild out. Oh and elite specs, which are still more powerful than the base specs.

And before anyone says DBL wasn’t, go look at the HoT sales page.

That’s a marketing throw in, the desert borderland access was given to every account type.

The wvw guild upgrades from the base game dumped into the guildhalls is what you paid for though, be angry about that.

Weekly Event Ideas

Omg kitten it I was gonna put up an events idea thread for wvw advertisement, after mentioning it in another post lol.

Golem week was fun for a couple hours until the exploits came in and the devs did nothing, but I think other siege should be considered.

Siege week, so for something like ram week, rams do double damage, every other siege does half damage. Obviously with that in place players will try to ram mostly, in which defenders can easily plan for such. I would leave golems and arrowcarts out of getting a boost.

Themes week, with something like halloween we normally get places like citadel dressed up, but I was thinking maybe if we turn the siege into themed items, imagine instead of trebs we get a giant green skeleton the same size of trebs that lobs candycorn. Obviously dressing up the citadel and the keeps would be a nice touch as usual.

Node weekend blast, SMC is loaded with the gathering nodes, the entire floor area between inner/outer is gathering nodes, should be interesting for those wanting to res, beep beep babeep beep, I keep going to mine instead of ressing!

Lord of the week, every day a set random amount of lords and their keeps are worth quadruple the wvw exp and 2 champ bags, so maybe red ebg, green garri, blue hills may be a set for a day.

Wvw exp weekends, every weekend a different map is worth double the wvw exp, so maybe week 1 ebg has the bonus, the next weekend maybe green bl has it, etc.

The King, For every 15 mins 1 person from each side is randomly selected to be “the king” in which they earn triple wvw exp for whatever activities they do and carry the presence of the keep buff on them with a radius of 600. The catch is they are “marked” on the map to the enemy the entire time. When they die or held the buff for 15mins, a new person is randomly selected on that map.

Triple Double, a daily in which if you capture all 2 keeps on 3 different borderlands for that day, you earn 6 of the keep capture daily rewards plus a rank up chest.

Wrath of the Titans, every player is given a buff that adds 50% run speed stacks with 33% buffs, 100% more vitality, 1000 healing power, 100% more damage to gates.

Most of the ideas should probably only be implemented as a bonus weekend, not an entire week, in case anyone doesn’t like it then they only suffer for 3 days.

These polls are just meant to slow down the release of the overhaul. Mark my word: when the overhaul is ready they’ll hold on it and launch it with the next expansion.

I have a friend that says the same thing, they’re going to release the big stuff in the next expansion. To which I usually answer, they can try but after what they did with HoT and guildhalls shtuff, and burning the wvw community goodwill for 3 years… good luck with that, I’m sure wvw players would just leave the game instead.

I sure hope they are not planning on another expansion. If so, they need a new strategic planner lol

It’s already in the works, they mentioned they had 70 devs working on it already a few months back. But yeah, would be nice to finish the current expansion.

P.S wouldn’t freak out about the poll yet, it’s around 20.5% the other way, and like 4.6% non votes which will be taken out and the percentages will be adjusted. Honesty though, if this vote doesn’t go through, wvw players deserve all the misery we’ve gotten the past 4 years for being stupid.

Yuppers, garri ne outer/inner wall, hills mid outer/inner wall, hills north outer/inner wall if positioned properly, bay south outer/se inner wall. Also blue keep in ebg on and east and west sides, but not red or green keeps.

Actually you can cata outer and inner of green keep from Jerrifer’s Sentry.

Well you can treb too, was thinking more of if the catas were up on the first wall.

I see the appeal of alpine and all, but two of the keeps you can catapult both walls with the same catapult and that makes things a lot less interesting for me.

Some thoughts from a PVEer

Anyway, I won’t endorse ppl saying “try not to make your server fail”, because if you’re new, you’re here to learn, and if so, you’re expected and allowed to sometimes fail. Especially in PvP fights that are mostly far more difficult than PvE ones.

Funny thing is there’s still a lot of players who have been around for 3 years still making stupid mistakes, stuff that even common sense should tell you not to do, but it somehow doesn’t click with them.

But yeah wvw is a learning experience, it’s stuff you have to actually experience and learn from, stuff like siege placements, counter siege placements, scout and commander calls, learning your class and what you can and cannot do, learn the flow of battle and positioning, reading enemy movement on the map, supply management, do’s and don’t, like don’t repair a wall that’s being trebbed until the treb is down or you’re wasting supply, and so much more.

Stuff like that you can’t teach with an npc, some of it you can with a wvw guild, but some of it you just need to experience it to get it, roaming, havoc, zerging, all have their own tricks to learn, the more you play the more you pick up over time.

Well, no, they’re more sort of “prodding”. Like they’re prodding when they put fractals (which most PvEers don’t do) in the PvE dailies. Or when they put the exotic berserker aquabreather (mostly useful to dungeon/fractal people) in sPvP. Or when they expect WvWers to map complete PvE. And they seem to mostly succeed in annoying everybody.

edit: Anet shouldn’t pester people into WvW against their will and hope some of them stick. They should rather make WvW interesting enough that people want to try it. Then they should make the barrier to entry as low as possible, so that people actually try it rather than saying “I’d like to try it, but the problem is…”.

I’m fine with them putting stuff in dailies, when dailies first started out it was very limited, and we clammered for more variety in dailies for every section, pve wvw spvp, to the point it’s at now.

The hard hooks which “force” people into other sections of the game I don’t agree with as well, but well there should be something to entice players to give them a look at least.

One of the problems with wvw is the limited recruitment because of the megaservers, and the loss of callouts in LA for reinforcements. Tournaments use to bring in new players, some of which stayed in wvw, my guild was a testament to that, but there’s problems with those and they no longer want to run them.

Maybe if they ran more special events as promotions it would help, course the last one they did, golem week, turned into a disaster. But even running the wvw buff more regularly like they do with spvp may help pique some player interest from time to time.

As for a low barrier of entry, I tend to look at wvw somewhat like an endgame area like raids, and normally the entry to raids takes practice through dungeons. For wvw I look at eotm as that bridge, mind you it was opened as a place to temporarily play while waiting in queue, but it became a good spot to level so many players did that rather than grinding in pve.

In eotm you can learn wvw basics in there, even if it’s just following a zerg around taking stuff, there’s other stuff to learn if you pick up on them, keeping an eye out and reading enemy movement on the map, learning the flow of battle and positioning, which are very important to keep yourself alive.

With this change, it’d be one to leave wvw (if already in it), one to go to a place to craft, one to go back into wvw. As opposed to just one to go to Citadel.

Ok but, in either scenario you start from pve zones before entering wvw, so craft before you go to wvw?

Ok gets tricky if you’re already in wvw and find the need to craft, unless you parked yourself in a city before entering wvw which cuts down 1 loading screen. Gets really tricky on reset night with a queue on.

But what emergency item do you really need to leave in the middle of wvw to go craft?
Is this something you expect to happen on a daily basis?

Do you carry around less than 5 stacks of food and oil?

Do you go to picnics, and half way through it you decide you need to run home to cook the food for the picnic, and then return to the picnic?

Already exists. Wing 1 and wing 3 both have cooking stations.

Oh that’s really good, although I still would be prepared and bring everything I need for a raid run, like I usually do when I run dungeons, or fractals, or pveing for hours, or wvw.

I do hope they set worlds to low for the ones that are actually low instead of artificially bumping them to medium as well. If there are no low servers, there is no such thing as medium :p

(Idea) NPC bounty system

I do think a bounty system, which has been mentioned in the past, would be something cool to add. What I don’t want the bounty system to do is attract pve players to just come in wvw to pve. I wouldn’t attach it to any of the champ npcs like the grub. I would however attach it to enemy players, keep and tower lords. They would be like a hybrid dailies/wvw guild missions in a way.

Since jon mentioned the centaur and skritt, to make them more useful, just turn them into their counterparts in ebg, dredge ogres frogs. Capture their areas and have them wander around the entire map beating down enemy places, the ebg ones should do that as well instead of just beating the camps. Remember when the quaggan use to hit up hills? XD I would also make them slightly more powerful, like HoT updated creature power.

Hi WvWers,
Today in EotM I finished my reward track, and almost simultaneously got the 250 badges I wanted for a discount on an ascended amulet. This has left me in in a reflective mood. I wonder should I go back and do it again? Should I try proper WvW? And it left me wondering what Anet should do to make WvW more attractive to PvEers.

If you had fun, sure why not?

So, a few thoughts:

Don’t try to force us. If you do, we will teach you the meaning of “beware of unintended consequences” by e.g. mostly-afking and repairing a wall every few minutes while we watch sitcoms in another window and the queue fro EB goes over 50.

Nobody is forcing you to? unless this is another gift of battle complaint. But no need for the threat. Of course I have to mention how much more wvw players are “forced” to do pve to get the things they want to function in wvw, but another argument for somewhere else.

Don’t try to bribe us. If WvW ever becomes genuinely lucrative, then the minds that brought you Tarir multiloot with disguised IP addresses will apply themselves to farming WvW. Believe me, you WvW guys are better off with it as the worst paying game mode than with that.

It needs to pay OK, like the Cursed Shore or whatever. If I can say “it’s not quite as good money as the Silverwastes, but you don’t have to do chest farms” then we’re cooking.

Fine by me, the reward tracks are perfect and that’s about as far they should go for rewarding play, we don’t need it to be as rewarding like the tarir meta. We just need enough gold to be able to maintain our gear, oils food, etc and a lil something something for a rainy day, like a transfer.

But the first thing WvW needs is to look fun. I think what you need is real marketing. Not by devs, by advertising professionals. Show us videos of cool fights, with voice overs by real commentators saying “now the neat thing about this is…” And make it assuming no prior knowledge of WvW, and put a link on the load screen which clearly flags it as intended for people with no WvW experience.

And once it looks like it could eventually be fun, it needs for people a way to get involved starting from “I know very little except that I’m a bit confused”.

True that, the marketing department seemed to ignore wvw for almost it’s entire time, meanwhile the notices we get about spvp and it’s tournaments, courtesy of the marketing department. Tons of wvw videos on youtube though.

Most of all, what I’d need is a place to start. There maybe good places to start, but I don’t know about them. Instead people jabber on assuming I already know what “push” or “max participation” mean.

I believe there’s suppose to be a tutorial npc in citadel, right at the portals. Terms like “push” are used by commanders, that will come with experience of running with them.

There are also practical barriers. Say I like the sound of havoc groups (I do). To try that will I need a set of e.g. rabid gear? If so, that’s on the order of 100g just to try something out. Free level 76 exotic gear, that’s only usable in WvW and disintegrates after 30 hours, would be more like it.

What? As mentioned already the wvw gear is cheaper than normal gear on the trading post since it cost badges too. You go rabid gear if you want to play a condition spec. But that’s up to you, havoc groups doesn’t require you to get that, unless a specific group you’re running with wants it for group synergy.

Anyways you can run normal exotics, build ascended trinkets/rings first which you can get in numerous ways. Gearing for wvw specifically really isn’t any different than gearing for raids. There’s tons of roles to play in wvw, gear towards what you want to play.

One thing I will say for WvW, BTW… The only obnoxious WvWer I’ve encountered was in guild chat in my PvE farming guild. WvWers seem pretty chill, so much better than the dungeon commnity. Stay cool guys, maybe I’ll see you around some time.

You’re sarcastically complaining about something but it’s hard to tell what that is. Whatever it is you’re grumbling about, what are you doing while they’re off regenerating, are you saving your cooldowns for some other occasion?

Yeah guys, you roamers should be fighting it out in camps and sentries. If the thief stealths and runs away you are charlie sheen “winning”, don’t mind it if he regens to full and comes back to kill you.

Also if you randomly bump into someone in open field in the middle of nowhere, ignore them cause they’re not an objective, and you will not be playing wvw for what it was designed for (imma designer I absolutely know what it was designed for).

Now we need a bank on every WvW map. Yes, there is the the guild bank with the drop down menu, where i can reach the bank, but it has the limits of the guild bank and is annoying.

They’re adding bank npcs to all wvw start areas… there would be a separate psa thread to highlight this, but the wonderful mods have kindly merged that thread into this thread to reduce “visual clutter”…. Meanwhile there’s another remove crafting complaint thread still floating out there on it’s own.

Agree with RodOfDeath. One reason I don’t get into roaming more is that it just looks so boring and lame. Roll the thief or condi mesmer and go gank people running to the zerg or taking a sentry. Just not my thing, but I guess it works for some people.

It gets interesting when you find someone running a class not in the roaming meta and get a good fight with no interruptions. But those are few and far between unless you manage to run into a random scrim area set up, but then it’s still mostly thieves.

Like the mastery system, when you finish the exp on your current mastery track it filters exp into the last one you had selected before it, so no exp is wasted. Seems like the rewards tracks should work the same way.

Too early to cry wolf just yet, we have to see what happens when the 4way shed some fair-weathers, and the other servers fair-weathers comes back.

Only way that’s going to happen is if the 4way gets bored with no pins showing up. The fair weathers stick around as long as they’re winning, which the 4way will do for the rest of the link. The losing sides shed more players as they get bored being outnumbered and outscored all the time, they take the week off.

They come back for reset and see how it goes, then by the end of the weekend if the score is close they gain morale and stick around, if it isn’t then another week off, hoping the 4way gets bored. For an example, see t1 the past few months.
