The guilds that play for PPT on ET still all enjoy a good fight everyone of them and they dont have the numbers to just sit in a single tower doing nothing for hours like you, nor would they.

Lets be real you are just mad roamers at this tier like BS dont attack your tower with 5 people so the 20 of you hiding in a tower camping siege cant farm. While you hide, there are guilds on IoJ that come out and fight, and they fight well. We are having a blast they are having a blast. Maybe if you got over your fear of the open field and accepted you will lose some fights you might win time to time.

Having fun sitting in towers on your siege fighting no one doing nothing convincing yourself you are winning at something.

How does that show more skill on the thiefs part? Because he moves around more due to class mechanics and skills that port him all about?

You’re bias is showing, just because thiefs animations after using a skill looks cool does not = more skilled.

The first video posted shows the same thing you evading all about thinking your a skilled player due to cheap class mechanics.

Had to test, yeah Geomancy is a must with a really good crit string you can get the 20 stacks in 5 seconds before the rotation in done.

Sure the target dummy did not dodge or block but it can be done.

Yeah your playstyle leans towards the kind that calls everyone a noob you beat, and calls everyone that beats you a fotm/lucky/OP noob. The only good thing that came out of inviting you that night for duels was you brought some good Bags players and for that we thank you.

I love trying to figure out stuff like this…. Dont know exactly how he did it but this is one way to fast stack bleeds.

Blood is Power = 2x bleeds
Mark of Blood = 3x bleeds = 5
Putrid Mark = transfer 2 self bleeds from PiB = 7
Dodge roll trait into Mark of Blood = 2x bleeds = 9
Weapon Swap = Grasping Dead = 3x bleeds = 12
Enfeebling Blood = 2x Bleeds = 14

With some crit procs you can get 20. Another possibility is Weaking shroud when going DS for more bleeds. More like 6-7 seconds then 5.

@dreztina So lets sum up your history, last week you called all ET bad saying you never lost a 1v1. You did the same this week calling all IoJ bad saying you never lost a 1v1.

In the first situation you were proved mistaken and what I have seen from some IoJ there are plenty on that server that will also beat you.

You dont want good fights vs good players all you want to do is pick off easy kills as you roam around wvw then brag about it on the forums. When you die 1v1 you troll the the people that won. Did you even DAoC 8 man swag?

Back on track,

Weapon Sigils I switch up alot. Right now im using force on staff, accuracy on dagger with hydromancy off hand dagger.

Other good options, Superior Chilling for +10% chill, On swap Sigils that are great, Doom for poison or Energy for another dodge, you could use Leeching also.

I could see using Runes of the Forge for longer protection duration and a protection proc, but that really does not help vs condi, and the stun locks are insanse with warriors right now. Melandur helps give you a window to do something between the stun rotation. I wont say melandur is a must have, but its nice.

I do the same as Bhawb when running MM+golem its lyssa most the time, and if power MM its always lyssa.

Yeah Blaine I also use Ritual Mastery sometimes i go 30 into blood and skip 30 DS. Small changes depending on other team… have another power D/D necro ready if the other team is stacked heavy one way or another be it stun wars or condi classes.

I should not respond to the mightyaltroll…. he is still salty from a past run in but if anyone is wondering my climb was not random luck. At the start 1-3 was my first games losses from 4v5s I dug out of that hole with Condi and MM builds to around 170 hit a brickwall and dropped to 300 then back to 250. At that point I knew i had to counter the classes and builds I was seeing.

This build had a 13-1 run against the top 200 solo queue players. 43-19 is what I’m at now. Thats not a luck based climb I set a goal and reached it against players of higher skill level then my own, that was all counter meta build not the player driving it.

Really just wanted to talk a little theory sorry for the side track… I cant believe the mighytroll came out of its posting break to troll here…

If I had it to do again for WvW I would of made a sylvari for grasping vines.

Here is my advice. Wars have a very high representation on the solo queue leader boards and crush the condi necros you just posted a QQ thread about. Perhaps you should spend time on your warrior forums you might learn something.

Only reason I did solo queue was i thought there was a title for breaking top 100 sitting at 87 now with no Challanger of the Arena title, so the jokes on me….

Figured I would share the silly build an average maybe a little bellow average player used to break top 100 vs better players.

Higher ratings you face alot of Stun lock warriors with high uptime of stability/unfearable. They own condi necros and bunk very well vs condi necros. Also face alot of rangers, a few guards with some random engineers running heavy anti condition, and of course a ton of condi necros. Thats it, about all you see after 250 and up.

Guess its a counter meta build, but I dont really know what meta means.

Its just a simple power build that works because you do not face the wide varrity of classes and builds that would exploit a d/d power necro bunker. The classes and builds you see are cookie cutter all the same… power necro has all the tools to counter them or bunker better vs them then any class and build… yes even guards. You actually get a ton of kills in 1v1 situations and 1v2 you can hold out for ages even won/forced a flee from some big name better players doubling up on me.

So here it is. If anyone cares I’ll go into detail why I chose what I did and why it works well vs what people run at higher rating.

My hope is people of all classes will start making builds to shake up this meta. When everyone is running the same crap time to make one trick pony builds and exploit them.

Disclaimer: its not a optimal build in tpvp, low rating solo queue, even hot join spvp, and it would be a joke in WvW…. its a gimmick that works vs the stale class/build make up at higher ratings.

Necro is fine in WvW, in a really good spot to be honest.

Nemesis you need to come down to the lower tiers if you want to face good 1v1 players.

[BS] Basic is hoping for some GvGs 10v10 to 15v15 with IoJ guilds already seen some strong ones out there tonight HARD Core Run.

Also always down for for fun small GvGs 2v2 and up.

Yeah, I gotcha. I can understand sticking with a single class. However without condi builds evade/stealth and bunkers would be out of control. I accept wars and others with heavy CC and stability are going to train me and am ok with the tradeoff because i can do things they cant like bust a bunker or evade spammers fast.

Metas might change but one thing remains the same…. guards are a must have for group stability. Every other class is going to have to just deal with rotating in an out of the meta as nerfs and buffs change it. Eles were out of control a few months ago with zero counters at least this meta you can counter. Still anet did nerf D/D a bit to hard.

I don’t want to adjust to the meta. I don’t enjoy the builds that are strong in it. Complaining is what gets things changed, and while my personal complaints won’t do much, if enough people complain, things may shift back, or at least balance out a bit.

I run a zerker geared power necro build in solo queue, with utility and trait choice to counter the classes and their builds in this meta. Took alot of thought and understanding along with plenty of testing to come up with it.

Wars are ripping apart the condition meta because a top player gave away his counter meta build. The majority of players in a MMO even many of the best fast reflex players just use other peoples builds, I do the same for ideas and starting points. Right now your using a build from months ago, if someone posted a build to own this meta on your class you would use it and love it.

Real talk

Both power and conditions builds can be made for competative GvG small scale and large scale fights. One is not better then the other they just fill roles near opposite each other in larger scale fights if done right.

Go with what you enjoy.

Adjust to the meta. Countering the condition meta is much easier then the burst die in two seconds meta at the start of the game, but even that had counters.

Im casual with pvp, but rated at 150 in solo queue its higher then someone of my average skill level should be. Got their because of running a counter meta build, zero condition damage.

Build smart and play smart that makes up for reflex and skill gaps an old DAoC gamer like myself faces vs all the youngins….. My advice use your brain as an older gamer, adjust.

What did you expect? Low tiers have some seriously good gamers many better then alot of the top people Im facing on the leader boards in pvp and you did call out the whole ET server with that yet to lose a 1v1 post.

What choice is there? When BS wanted to do some equal numbered fights, aside from a couple guardians, every single person they brought was a condi spam build. When this is what guilds are bringing to fights, there really isn’t much choice.

Like who? Yarr is the only good guild on FC, and I have yet to lose a 1v1 to anyone on ET. Maybe I just need to look around some more.

Send me in game there are a ton of great 1v1 players that might challenge you, but honestly WvW is not about 1v1 get a few friends and do some small scale roaming.

I dont solo roam anymore because the so called solo roamers just spec run away builds and take off the second things go bad. Is super boring.

It depends on how many play, a few weeks ago 70% would get you top 1000 now its probably higher around 90%.

It is casual for us. :P What I meant by “the kind of fights” is the whole 15+ thing, and also why I said your guild probably wouldn’t. Neither VLK nor BS are the kind of guild that fields that kind of number on a regular basis nor works consistently with those numbers.

I’m not interested in playing Guardian Wars personally.

BS runs Guardians galore. Yeah that is one exciting fight.

We are light on guardians if anything…. Our guards are really good plus its a front line in your face fighters class so always standouts. Its as hard a class as any to play well and very useful. There are more annoying group comps to fight… heavy thief/stealth mes groups for example.

Warrior is a hard counter to spirit rangers, its game mechanics spirit rangers dont have the CC or the stun breaks to handle the matchup.

Warrior can counter necros and engineers in 1v1, match favors the war but any slip ups its can go the other way. It can also be the most lopsided win for a war, necro or engineer no matter how good they are get in the warriors combo without a stun break its over. I have learned to fear good warriors on my necro and eng when I used to think they were jokes.

I would go with the Engineer as a slight edge over a necro at the very least an even matchup but guess Im the only one that thinks so.

If it happens cool, really not a big deal to us win or lose, more about seeing class makeups builds and how people work as a group every guilds has its own style in GvGs its always neat seeing and being part of these fights.

Well, a good warrior does a number on me. There are a few around.

Uchi from BS gave Ajax Blue 100gold for commander tag when he was on ET, so thats who you can thank… Uchi is a master at subtle and not so subtle trolling. (he mains a thief, go figure)

If any Kaineng guilds would like to do some GvG with a lowly T8 guild [BS] (basic) we would love the practice fighting strong higher tier guilds, anything from 2v2 up to 15 v 15 would be great.

Side note, I joined ET partly because it was the bottom server. It sure has improved with the addition of IoM and the extra efforts towards WvW from older guilds like BNC Tfor FSAE. That’s building from the ground up not jumping on bandwagons to a winning server in the tier like so many guilds used to do.

Syncing in GW1 was not perfect but you had a very high chance of getting most of your group. Same in GW2, so if you see a group with a random no name thats just the randomness of syncing.

Those screen shots 100% people are syncing no doubt, lying about it that’s just sad. Anet did not stop syncing in GW1 did not ban anyone for doing it so no point in lying.

Team queue was a joke all people did was farm solo joins with a team.

And before anyone says otherwise I got 300 rating at 390 right now 90% solo with a few team games using a rag tag WvW bunch all we did was beat solo joins you dont even face real teams.

I hardly ever team pvp and still got decent rating because all team pvp was about was farming solo players, at least im honest about it.

Solo queue was needed now the top team queue people will be there because they earned it and did not just farm solo player pugs

No offense to HoD there are solid folks on the server, I just dont like working to find the kind of fights I enjoy. When I was there it was before servers rotated so was always HoD, ET, FC aka boring for an HoD player maybe its better now.

Its your choice of server, we were talking about it in guild chat. I moved from HoD to ET because i was sick of the HoD zergs and looking for people to fight. On ET there is always a fight to be had, outmanned buff up on near every map no looking for action. Its a dream for people that WvW for the good fights be that taking objects or just small man roaming.

I tried to convince PAXA to move to FC a few times they would have a ton more fun, AR might also be a good choice now.

I spent my night looking for any BS members I could find. I tried to 1v2 your asuran engi and human guard in a camp. I failed, but it was fun. Thanks for the salute engi. Then I found that human guard twice more. You ran to a tower/zerg the first time and then in ruins I wanted to fight, but you ported right when you saw me. I was solo roaming.

I have been waiting for this match-up to fight BS. I will fight you on sight. Please fight me instead of running, I’ve had enough of that from BP/Kain.

Dont expect people to duel anyplace, you are on a larger WvW pop server, when I try to do random open field duels in these kinds of matchups 738924829 people add, windmill for duels or someplace else out of the way.
