They are not a drop, but a composite that requires 5 Vials of Condensed Mists Essence…of which the OP hasn’t got any yet.
Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence- Havent gotten one still, but alright..
Fellow forumites, should I tell the OP what the Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence is…or is he in enough pain already?
Not sure if GW2 dungeons are hard
or buggy
Did GoD transfer to Blacktide too?
I’ve noticed that French players in WvW drop good dyes.
Isn’t the point to scale infinitely under some predefined rules?
If so infinitely is probably equal to 256.
Item is fairly bad for WvW.
Not sure about dungeon runs, but since there are no server and world firsts in this game, does anyone care?
Yep, it’s madness.
It’s even greater madness to have to do that without proper tools like damage meters and gear score.
Dungeons already drained all my coins lol, so i simply decided, that in a dungeon, id only wear clothes if it was some stronger boss fight, not to waste repair money by being swarmed and killed by those little mobs.
(and you cant repair while inside the fractal anyway)
that can actualy be considered as scamming, you can get your acount banned for dooing that.
um…wat?
Are you asking details about a scam? Asking about hax or scam is also a bannable offense.
First off I really don’t see why the rest of us should be punished for a disconnect and a terrain glitch (both ANet’s fault as well as the lack of any way for those players to rejoin us which is absurd).
Secondly, it was only d4. Not 14. The regeneration was out of line (provided I didn’t miss a way to counter it).
Stats matter. When I got full exotics there was a noticeable effect in fights. As ANet plans to introduce many more ascended items…well…they are going to be a must have.
I was running it at difficulty 4 when one of my party disconnected and another one fell thru the terrain and couldn’t come back. We decided to continue as this was the last of the three fractals.
However, the imbued shaman was regenerating health way too fast for the three of us to defeat him in any reasonable time. Now, I know it’s a five man dungeon, but this is only level 4. Isn’t the regen a bit too much? Or was I missing some encounter mechanic that would have reduced the boss regen?
While I personally accept low lvl people in my runs, leveling to 80 in this game is super easy. If you can’t be bothered to do even that, expect really a lot of people to kick you.
In my experience people with sPvP titles in WvW are free kills.
GS condition is about bleeds from clones, forget everything else.
The bleed strength is decent. I wouldn’t recommend it over staff for gear with no power at all (like the OP’s Rabid). With Rabid staff will outdamage the GS, and of course staff has much more utility too, especially after the zerker’s nerfs.
The best confusion spec is trident
Depends on your ratios.
With full malice no power it’s best to have only clones.
With a mix of malice and power it all becomes a lot of math…at some point phantasms will make sense.
With no malice and a lot of power you can use staff in a shatter build but dont expect a lot of damage from the clones autoattack.
Neither.
The only reliable indication we have is Xfire. And the numbers have been dropping. Just as with SWTOR the forums and the devs could say anything, but at the end of the day only the player activity counts.
Im not sure which was worse, trial accounts getting one, or some people getting two!
Has anyone, even an Ele, bought the entire set + all weapons?
Roll back this ridiculous change.
GW1 being imperfect is why GW2 held so much promise, so many things that could have been improved.
Turns out GW2 was so busy becoming a wow-clone the only improvement that was nailed was jumping.
How many WoW clones have we seen fail horribly ?
Have you seen any succeed ?
I’m thinking there is one very important thing all MMO developers need to realize: If you try to take customers from WoW you will fail. If you want to succeed, find your customers somewhere else.
Well that’s so funny
Because one of the most famous, if not the most famous speech on this very topic and championing not-being-a-clone was given by one of ANet’s three co-founders!
Give me real ELO and I will give you real answers.
was not asking you for any answers simply stating there is no one answer for pvp
less critical more criticism with constructiveness
I was constructive.
An ELO ladder will be immensely helpful for improving this game. It’s the right way to weed out speculation, flukes, myths and give visibility to people who know their kitten.

Don’t try to simplify GW1’s feat.
It wasn’t just the no grind for stats. It was plenty of things, from the deck building to the art to who knows what magic.
The question is not what made GW successful. The question is why GW2 is so far off its predecessor while being too close to a WoW-clone.
The problem is not raising the level cap per se.
The problem is there are too many item slots and exotics drop/obtain rate is not too great.
I need three exotic sets for my Mesmer: zerker, rampager, and rabid. That’s six pieces of armor each, six accessories with six exquisite jewels each, plus a number of zerker/rampager/rabid weapons to swap for each of the sets. I am not even considering higher level runes/sigils, and it still adds up to a lot of annoying grind for drops or gold.
Less and less people will play WvW.
This is the future.
The best way to adapt to this future (should you care) is to develop tactics and gear to take over objectives with the fewest number of people possible.
Give me real ELO and I will give you real answers.
I love the “4” you wrote in.
I run a condi build. I even solo bosses sometimes when my pugs die.
LOL
There is no counter for…
…wait for it…
…stealth!
Sad to read this.
They will be replaced, you will have to grind for new ones.
The big question we don’t know the answer of is: will legendaries be obsoleted by higher ilvl legendaries too?
Leveling your character to a new cap will be the easy part.
Replacing all your lvl 80 exotic sets with a new cap…well, that’s going to be some grind…and I won’t even mention higher item levels for ascendant or legendary gear.
It is now clear that 47% of GW2’s players are used to getting free stuff. Gifts. That they won’t take responsibility for themselves. That they want to be carried in dungeons and fractals.
Well I say NO MORE. Organize your own party and progress on your own, don’t beg to be carried!
As a long-time mmo player (started on a diku mud) I can confirm the existence of the model now best known as the “WoW” model.
However, GW1 was not an iteration of this model. It was…different. A Wizard of Earthsea in a world of Lord of the Rings clones.
Why did GW2 stray? Probably the siren’s song of WoW’s money, but this has always been a trap for the foolish devs.
The single market TP is the most competitive hub in all MMOs due to sheer number of participants. Despite dropping player numbers it is still a magnitude of order bigger than even EVE’s Jita.
Can you make money by crafting high demand items? Sure, but literally each copper of efficiency will matter.
The problem with GW2 is that it did not build on the great GW1.
Actually, what I want from ANet would have cost them less in development than their current “choices”.
It’s all about bad design decisions. The only problem I have that is ostensibly fixable with more money is the culling graphics issue in WvW. Everything else, from a hundred issues in WvW to the splitting of the community in Fractals would have cost less/the same to develop correctly.
When I first heard of Fractals I thought it’s going to be an awesome dungeon but I naturally imagined progress will reset when you go out.
ANet’s “idea” of keeping the tiers un-reset is already dividing the community.
The only Blink trick is making it work underwater which is hardly OP in any way.
Buh-bye T1, you won’t be missed.
Even better, Astone will be promoted in our place. Maybe we’ll finally meet the elusive ER.
ANet is hellbent on destroying the mesmer. Last patch alone nerfed the greatsword into oblivion. If you want to see your class nerfed in every patch, pick the mesmer. Otherwise, pick something else.
On of thee biggest if not the biggest E-sports is league of legends. They balance around the professionals. Why? Because the professionals take the classes to there limit.
True.
However, GW2 has no elite players. Rank = grind atm. There’s no ELO ladder.
Mesmer phantasms work like regular attacks. There is not really a logical reason for them to ignore dodging. The ‘double-standard’ examples are apples to oranges —
Once a regular attack lands successfully, that’s it. With phantasms atm we can fail entirely when we cast, but even after that the enemy can still dodge/block/reflect/blind the phantasm.
Also, phantasms dont get regular attack bonuses from sigils and stuff.
It’s all double standard against the mesmer.

Isn’t this nerf all about the treb map in spvp?
So basically thieves got nerfed in spvp but buffed in wvw?
GS number 3 is a targeted AoE.
GS number 3 is a joke.
