Rampage would win for sure. Rampage is actually able to CC lich form because lich form only has 1 stack of stab, so 2 CCs will CC it and rampage has so many CCs, whereas lich can’t CC rampage. Rampage also has that 25% incoming damage reduction that lich form doesn’t.

Lich form didn’t stand a chance. I didn’t even have full adrenaline. I activated heal signet for 6 sec of protection plus stance before the transform coz I’m still not very good w/ warrior

why wouldnt you use the moa on the tool belt skill on both? You just beat them both with your tool belt skill.

Also in a 1 vs1 rampage wins but in my teams experience Lich is better for team fights.

That moa tool belt is amazing. I used it for critical rezzing but the cd is longer than the elixir elite.

Yeah I agree that Lich form if positioned properly, can down opponents faster than rampage thru the piercing, hard hitting 1 skill.

Who’d win if they went mano a mano?

I made an attempt on my engie a few minutes ago but I got stupid tornado. I always get tornado fml.

So between a necro and warrior, which transformation is better in team fights and a 1v1 duel.

Has anyone tried? Assuming warrior has full adrenaline and necro plays a power build.

Lich form 1 seem to hit more but slow while rampage skills are all pretty useful.

The way the Pet Management window is set up, there is room to add 2 more pets to have the window balanced out with 6 pets on each row. The last row, currently only has 4.

Why no F ability for necros?

There isn’t anything to add for Necro to be a feasible profession ability. Death Shroud in itself is the extension of Necro’s Function abilities. Simply on/off is satisfactory.

As for Ranger. It’s a good habit to use F3 to call your pet towards you if you want them ressing you. It might also help binding the aggro/passive command to avoid them running into unnecessary places.

Yeah I try using F3 but the it’s on a long cool down. Meanwhile, my pet just spaces out. Sometimes, it would clean itself while I breath my last breath. Is there a way to activate F3 immediately on down?

I main an engie so I already have an F5. But it would be cool for a necro to have like an F2 where it could stealth and an F3 for stability. I’ll play necro all the time when that happens.

Despite looking like a poor beggar, I won my first solo ranked game with marauder engie. At this hour, it seems better to play here than NA because there are more people.

It’s convenient to reference the last ESL tourney as an example of where I’m coming from. But this isn’t a new phenomenon, it’s been this way for almost 3 years.

EU has always been a mystery to me after exclusively being in NA. In fact, I bought this noob account when the game went on sale for $10 and chose to be in EU strictly for PvP purposes.

Sadly, I had to be level 18 or 20 or something like that in PvE before I can go to HoTM. I achieved reaching lvl 9 but couldn’t take the PvE grind anymore.

Why does EU have a bigger PvP scene?

Do they have a larger population?

Is there less elitism in EU?

Are people friendlier?

Is there less drama?

I didn’t ask why one is better than the other to avoid emotional responses. I just want to know the facts

Solo Q wasn’t the problem, it was Team Q. If they separated team and solo, the teams would suffer by not having enough teams to go against. If the pvp pool is 20x the number, then a separate queue would make more sense.

I queue solo and it’s annoying going against organized teams but not all of them are unbeatable.

+1 Yeah, that was my concern. It still exists but hidden. The few ranked games I’ve played definitely had hotjoin types (zerging, double, triple capping etc). Luckily it ended up well since we were also going against hotjoin types.

unranked is a better environment for noobs than hotjoin in terms of long term learning. There’s literally nothing to gain from hotjoin outside of learning basic fighting mechanics for your profession. Hotjoin is actually one of the few things that almost turned me away from pvp…

For real. The habits of the some of the players in hotjoin make pvp unenjoyable. It was okay when we could play there while queued up. I’d like the good hotjoiners to be part of the ranked pool tho.

This class is a burden to a team. Whichever team has the most revenant loses. No clue why the need to play an unfinished class in ranked when the unranked queues are shorter. I just hope that’s because of the stronhold pvp weekend, AFAIK last time they also changed the normal (un?)ranked queue into stronghold instead of conquest to test it.

I’d REALLY miss hotjoin. Not having to wait 5-10 minutes between every match is godsend when your playtime is limited.

You can still view the server browser. Just pick a server and it’s the same thing; practice “queue” just throws you into one of them afaik. But I’m hoping they’ll add practice button back anywho.

That made me nervous. I guess it was an oversight not including a practice option on the main pop-up.

I have nothing against hotjoin pvpers. It’s just that the mindset is completely different. I’ve met some of the best duelers in hotjoin.

The one thing I despise about hotjoin is the team swapping. I’m sure veteran hotjoiners are bothered by that too.

If so, guess we better get ready for an influx of notorious zergers, team swappers (leavers in unranked/ranked) and people who careless about map objectives.

I think the Abjured with Ostrich Eggs was even more unstoppable and enjoyable to watch. Best engie in the game and unlike his former teammates, he solo queues and pugs like most people

The best and most pvp-centric is NA prime on map chat. On weird hours like now, it’s either super quiet or filled with annoying, self-absorbed people from other parts of the world or Americans with carnal desires.

Eles need burning toned down and maybe something we can do to counter Mesmer blinds so thieves can do their job.

But mesmers are needed to keep eles on their toes and thieves the same way to mesmers.

Rebates. Discounts. Sales. Bundles… Unless you spent most of your life in a cave, these happen all the time. It’s not going to change because you feel it’s unfair.

Expect paying a higher price if you want to be amongst the first to own a product. Other option is for you to wait for the product to go on sale.

Im not sympathizing with Anet either because how they packaged, promoted and priced the expansion was terribly amateurish. It’s like something a start-up with inexperienced founders would do. Not a 10+ year old company backed by a larger company.

On the other hand, the comments some of you posted were ridiculous. I know a lot of people have quit playing the game out of boredom or other reasons. Fair enough.

Yet a bunch have admitted to enjoying the game, have spent thousands of hours on it so far but will deny/reject themselves from enjoying it further because it costs $20 more than they’re willing to pay for…even if they were really looking forward to it.

Wondering if they created a page addressing concerns we have about the expansion. They spent a lot of time producing the content yet spend little time on pricing and responding to important concerns we have.

Not sure if troll post but I usually hop on my mesmer to counter LB rangers. I’m more fearful of condi rangers because they seem less “entry-level”. There are good LB rangers but there’s just so many new and average ones.

Since we are purchasing the base game once again with the expansion, will the serial number (the annoying string of numbers they ask you when your account is hacked or stolen or in need of customer service) be replaced with the re-purchase or remain the same?
