I wouldn’t mind the nerf to my main as much if they at least stopped teaming me with clueless ppl. At least with ranked, ppl had an understanding of what to do. I also don’t mind waiting a bit longer. I’d rather have a 7 min Q in a fair match than a 2 min Q for a mismatch.

yo kdaddy the core rampage warrior doing so-so maybe even ok. But the new berserker spec is lacking synergy with the rest of the warrior traits. I’ve experimented with it and the results I get are not that great. Maybe with the help of anet doing a small buff, we soon discover builds that make sense.

For those who do not have the expac and want to amuse and entertain themselves…..

This is for vs druids and their pets on point. I created a build just for bunker druids because they could be a pain on capping efforts if not dealt with. And yes, they have the ability to distract upto 3 unaware people on point. Just be mindful of their pet’s damage and their positioning.

Condi doesn’t do anything vs. Druid either, it’s called using Melandru runes with the 3 condi cleanse every 10 seconds. If my slow gets cleansed by the master trait and melandru, then condition damage will be more likely cleansed when emphatic bond ticks. And sigil of purity on both sets. L2P already please, learn how condi cleanse works in this game. Druid is OP, abuse it while you can.

the cheap old poison master ranger or even trap ranger melt druids so fast you’d want to ask to buff them. do it after they do the massive cleanse from F5.

I don’t play druid but know how to. It bores me and plus it’s easy to kill. On my scrapper I just use the poison from weapon swaps and elixir gun when I encounter druid.

STOP ASKING FOR NERFS or make a big deal out of nothing. Instead, just ask how to counter.

I haven’t spent much time on druid because my scrapper is an attention hog but I know DH got nerfed recently.

We need exceptions to some of the signs of bad pugs, like jumping around on the tents in Forrest of Niflhelopolous means that person is 2legit. And homeless is a good look for Rangers.

Good news is that a lot of the guild teams are terribad zergers. They feel pro when they 3v1 you but always lose coz they cant comprehend the capture mode of the game

LMAO guild teams always used to queue unranked. I guess now they have little missions too. I think some of these guys are WvW guilds so expect the zerging. Although I know a lot of people belonging to WvW guilds that are also good PvPers. They usually don’t queue with their guildies.

I used to queue unranked for the rare and wonderful opportunity to go against a guild team in skyhammer

Don’t get me wrong, build becomes increasingly important the higher up we go in organized matches.

But no matter how OP a build is, if you solo queue (a good majority of us do) and end up with a trash team, you end up with trash results

I’m shocked the level of ignorance most people have about map rotations and basic combat. I don’t think I’ve had teammates as bad as the ones from this weeked. I’m generally friendly and passive but I just nod my head in disbelief how terrible a lot of players are.

What I’ve observed is that:

When they are over the top with emotes before match begins – wish yourself lots of luck

When they are geared to the nines – wish yourself lots of luck

When they look homeless – wish yourself lots of luck

When they jump a lot before match begins – wish yourself lots of luck

When they talk about nonsense or non match related topics – wish yourself lots of luck

One positive take away is that the queue times are shorter :/

I think anet should consider this option.

I mean, if they throw in an updated RAID OF THE CAPRICORN for PvP expac, it’s a no-brainer.

So far, from my extremely limited experience, the only superior new elite specs are:
- chronomancer (wells are amazing in teamfights. unlike shatter, it’s not the best at 1v1)
- scrapper (it’s good but I have more love for the old cele rifle)
- maybe druid

cele sig necro > reaper
dd ele > tempest
rampage war > berserker
support or burn guard > dragonhunter
thief = not sure I don’t play it
revenant = not sure I don’t play it….but something tells me I should

But brace yourselves, a LOT may change in the next week.

Anyone who thinks Chronomancer is OP hasn’t faced a proper Revenant build.

Marauder Sword/Shield & Staff Revenant has a 1-second evade, a 2-second evade, and two 2-second blocks (one of which does more damage than Blurred Frenzy while the other one heals the Revenant) on top of a sustain and DPS heal in Legendary Assassin Stance and an anti-burst heal in Legendary Dragon Stance for a total of 12 seconds of active defense where the highest recharge is only 30 seconds.

Let’s also not forget two stacks of stability on dodge (1 of which lasts 2 seconds, the other lasting 5 seconds) or 100% critical chance with fury (5 seconds from swapping Legends, 10 seconds from using a heal skill, 10 seconds from using a stun break [which can also be traited to proc on swapping Legends], and 3 seconds pulsing every 3 seconds in Legendary Dragon Stance).

What’s more, the Revenant can also apply weakness on a critical hit, receives 10% less damage from you outside of 360 range, and 10% even less damage from you when he’s below 75% health.

He also gains half a dodge every 10 seconds when struck, causes your physical hits and conditions to heal his downed allies, and breaks stun for allies within a 600-radius of himself when he uses a stun breaker.

In short, it’s really a tanky DPS god that ArenaNet likes to call the Revenant.

Oh dear. That revenant build or similar to it is 14 gigatons more annoying that the chronomancer. But I’m not gonna post a nerf thread about it a day after release. Maybe tomorrow. jk idc idgaf – at least not yet

$50 is a lot if you spend most of your time in hotm. But I bought expac anyways. Most of the content is PvEcentric, unfortunately.

Now if they offered the upgrade for PvP only – meaning you get all elites and an option to play a pvp revenant character for $15-20, would you buy it?

I bought the expac for my main acct even though I hardly leave hotm. I queued on my non HoT acct to see how the old builds fare vs new elites.

Umm it’s funny coz my d/d ele is still the most effective at capture and combat.

And as the elite spec people are still figuring things out, they drag the team down. I kinda like having vanilla builds in my team.

HoT was announced too early and not fleshed out enough to warrant any kind of third party hype. Too much information was withheld intentionally and ANet has a history of doing this. You guys are failing to read. Which is causing this to be blown away. Mesmers atm are the strongest class. They are tanky. can full heal. and can reset faster then thiefs can. they also have the evade the pu stealth or Mantra bursts which give them stat bonuses allowing them to be in berserker. I’ve also played PU shatter and i know once you get the rotation down its easy to play.

Now Burns. Its a big issue currently in the picture i posted I managed to do 7.2k burns. in spvp. Yes i was built for it. but The thing is even though your built for it You have so much more utiltiy. Im talking about engineer and Ele burns. Ele burn are slightly worst then Engineers but engineers stack faster. Condi cleanse is sort of an issue.

Cele Ammy. It still needs a nerf. Any good engineer or d/d ele will agree with me. I dont have many valid points to prove it should but its quite annoying burning down a good cele ele or engineer when they can heal up in a second from near death

Also Blood sigil is broken still no life steal.

What’s worse is the engie meta is marauder amulet, not celestial. Your complaining about an engie meta that disappeared 4 months ago.
