“normally Windows uses ~2.5 GB”
That’s very high. Even Windows 8 only uses about 1 gig at idle.
I recommend that you disable all unneeded programs that are running in the background. More info here:
I’m only going by my 30+ years as an electronics and computer technician. My current focus is on computer repair.
It’s up to you whether you choose to believe me or not.
Edited to add: You could try re-seating the card. Bad connections can cause this, but that’s somewhat rare.

Three possibilities here:
1) Defective graphics card
2) Defective power supply
3) Defective motherboard

Ntdll.dll crashes can be hard to troubleshoot. Most likely, your RAM is failing. Here’s more information:
Did you plug your graphics card into the slot closest to the CPU?
It does make a difference.
“Abomally.2694, they are connected to internet through providers, despite fact problem isn’t in their servers, problem is still on their side that needs to be fixed, not ours.”
Please prove your assertion by providing a Tracert.
I have no problems logging in, updating or playing.
Time for another exciting episode of “Who Gets To Play Guild Wars?”, brought to you by broken nodes on the internet!
Fixed.
“I don’t belive they don’t care, I think they simply doesn’t have enough people to fix the problem. Time to poke your bosses, that’s what they are paid for!”
They can’t fix packet loss between a person’s computer and their servers. They don’t own the internet.
If all of you here would do some tracert checking, you would be able to see where the packet loss is – (hint) it isn’t at the GW2 servers.
Nevermind – just ignore this post as I’m sure no one will listen anyway.
Have you tried disabling unneeded start-up programs to eliminate a possible software conflict?

I’m not able to log-in without WTFast atm, but with it, everything’s working just fine. Why is a 3rd party program instantly fixing what ANET’s been clueless about for months?
Because you don’t know how the internet works.
The reason that program works is because the packets take a different path to the GW2 servers than the path that your ISP is using (by a proxy server). All it takes is ONE messed up node in the path to the game servers and the game is going to have issues. WTFast takes a different path to the GW2 servers. The fact that the game works using that program should tell you that the game servers are working fine AND that the problem is internet/ISP related.
Furthermore, A-net has no control over the path from your computer to the game servers. In addition, A-net monitors their servers (all online games do) and they will be the FIRST to know if there’s a server issue.
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE <— that onboard video card is terrible for gaming.
I recommend that you get a decent gaming video card.
Why would I want a bunch of germs?
…I just got over the flu.

I get this exact email all the time. Trust me – it’s fake.
Sounds like your power supply is dying. The only way to verify this is to substitute a known good one as a test or replace it.
This is most likely your problem:
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 75.75.75.75
75.75.76.76
If you didn’t set those addresses, you need to change them. Also, do a check for malware.
What firewall are you using?
The horrible, obviously badly translated grammar gives it away.
Try the game without the overclock(s).
because that instantly means every single person ever has no issues on windows 7
Only IF they have other PC problems.
Furthermore, I’ve never had an issue updating OR playing the game – which was exactly the same when I played World of Warcraft (for 5 years, mind you). Let me clarify that WoW did have server issues on occasion, but that was really obvious and affected everyone. Despite the server issues, I was still able to update the game without problems. I haven’t encountered these server issues with GW2.
Some people don’t know the proper way to build or configure their PCs for gaming. As an electronics and computer tech (for over 30 years), I don’t have such issues. This means that the PC builder (or perhaps, buyer) either doesn’t know how to configure their computer, or they don’t know enough to build one properly.
Then they complain when it doesn’t work properly. I’ve never had this problem with ANY modern MMO (I play Rift as well). Sometimes, internet providers throttle (shape) traffic. This has nothing to do with the GW servers AND THEY CAN’T FIX IT.
I play an elementalist on the Isle of Janther server. I log in and play daily WITHOUT ISSUES. Common sense will tell you that THAT is not a server issue.
Good day.
Edited to clarify WoW’s server issues.

I have no issues running the game on Windows 7.
Windows 10 <— that’s the problem.
It’s fake, ignore it.
Don’t enter any information!
Wireless gaming is really not recommended, although it may work fine for you. There is the potential for RF interference by other devices that share the same operating frequency, which might lead to dropped packets and increased latency.
However, you could give it a try and it might work fine.

The Raptr overlay is crashing the game:
Module: ltc_game32-90652.dll
Disable it or uninstall it and the game should run fine.
Uninstall Bitdefender.
It causes too many problems to be worth it.
I get a lot of those exact emails. They’re just phishing attempts and I ignore them.
We need to know the system specs.
Please provide a Tracert. This will show any issues between you and the game servers.
Did you make sure to put your graphics card in the correct slot?
It should be placed in the one closest to the CPU. I advise that you double-check that.
Do you have a disk backup or third-party defrag tool running in the background?
This line is incorrect:
Gw2.js0+Gw2.js1+Gw2.js2+Gw2.js3+Gw3.js4
Use this instead:
copy [CD drive letter here] gw2.js* D:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.dat
You must include spaces.
Just so you know, memory diagnostics are not very accurate unless the RAM is just plain bad. This is because the diagnostics (such as Memtest) don’t really stress the memory like playing a game does (or video rendering).
Can’t be done without a lot of re-writing of the game engine, so it’s not gonna’ happen.
I like Linux as well, but it would require too much work for a small user base of (exclusive) Linux users.
That looks like a GPU failure. You can try updating/reinstalling your video drivers; but if that doesn’t work it’s probably that your graphics card is going bad.

Yes, that shouldn’t be a problem. I think GW2 uses about 60Kb/second.
That’s roughly about 23 hours of play time. So yeah, you’ll be a bit limited, but it will work.

“Also, the loader performs terribly too when updating. Notice that it uses 15-25% CPU while updating and the windows desktop manager process uses 30-40% while the loader is just running… I’m guessing this is related.”
Why do so many people get hung up on CPU usage as a means to determine if something is running correctly?
It’s an inaccurate way of judging program operation. BTW, your CPU usage is normal for what that program is doing. It doesn’t need to run at 100% in order to download and write some files.
could be ram too, do Memtest, generally any artifacts on screen = faulty memory
You’re referring to RAM on the video card. Defective RAM on the motherboard causes freezing and sometimes data corruption, but won’t cause screen artifacts.
can be, saw faulty USB causing graphic artefacts. Computers works mysterious ways sometimes and with 16GB RAM if you cut half still 8GB left, plenty for GW2.
would try different slot for graphic card also
That would only occur if the defective component was dragging down the power supply, or the power supply was failing.
Changing Nvidia driver level settings in the Nvidia Control Panel can sometimes cause problems.
I recommend only using the in-game graphics settings.
Not gonna’ happen. They aren’t going to make a specific (native) Linux build. However, GW2 will run fine on Wine:
Had same problem until I went back and took out the line from the Reddit hosts fix for patch from the last update:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2mq1pe/cannot_patch_client_stuck_at_launcher/
This worked for me. I was having this problem last major patch, and did the fix suggested on reddit (which never fixed the slow download speed, it only got me past the connection error). However, removing that line fixed the issue for this week’s patch and I am able to download at full speed.
Yes, removed the line now, and now its blazing fast. If ANET server guys are reading this, they must have one sick mind to mess with community solutions.
“SAME
I also added that line few months back due to client issues, Removing the host line 174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com fixed it."
This is why you should not modify your hosts file.

During assembly, wear an anti-static wristband. Also, handle the circuit boards by the edges – don’t touch the edge contacts and don’t touch the components on the boards.
No, the game doesn’t take screenshots on it’s own or when you close the game.
“I know on our lap top Temp files will randomly take screenshot of whatevers on the screen.”
That’s quite strange and it’s not normal behavior. You may have a keylogger or some other piece of software that’s doing this. Windows doesn’t do this by itself.

That’s correct.
I’m not seeing any overheating in the picture you provided. The highest GPU temp I saw was 58 C, which is fine.
Artifacts usually indicate that a graphics card is failing. It could also be an issue with the power supply not being able to provide enough power to the GPU.
