Ignore nakoda. He is ALWAYS trying to get engineers nerfed, while telling us that anet buffed them. I’m not sure what his game is, but I bet he spends a LOT more time trolling this forum than actually playing.
For solo roaming, should I go with Withdraw or Signet of Malice, instead of Hide in Shadows? Since stealth doesn’t break aggro, it seems that HiS is not so good.
I don’t like dungeons, but mainly because most of them are designed very poorly and jerks like to kick other players right at the end, before getting any reward.
I’m not sure why Warriors can’t use pistols. They are the masters of weapons, right? They also have the best rifle skills in the game. I would love to have a sword/pistol warrior.!
I refuse to visit the charr city except to get the map completion and then if I’m on my way into Ascalon. TERRIBLE design. It also doesn’t help that the map isn’t split into levels, even though the city has 3 levels.
The general idea is to get people to do other dungeons so it becomes more balanced, and limit the speed at which gold is introduced into the economy.
They did that with AC a month ago. Now there is hardly anyone running it. Many of us want easier dungeons. I wouldn’t mind them cutting rewards a bit, if the dungeon was an “easy mode” one. Have selectable difficulties, with rewards scaling to them.
I wish all of these constant complainers would just quit the game and get all of their friends to quit, too! Then I would be able to play all by myself on my server until Anet shuts them off in a week or two!
Yes please. This thread shows up every few days. It would be great if anet bothered to add even one rapier skin to the game. An actual set with skills would be much better, though.
A warrior weilding a greatsword would not be distinguishable from a mesmer with a greatsword. Why would you see an elementalist wearing full plate armor?
If you can’t tell when you are fighting a warrior or a Mesmer based upon their armor, you should not pvp. You should also not drag the rest of us down to that level.
Should I just go with Supply Drop, or is the Attack Golem or Defense Golem good? I actually would prefer to use a golem, because I think it would be cool. But if Suppy Drop is just plain better, I’m not going to kitten myself.
wvw is the endgame, outside of getting enough gold to buy the fancy gear you want. Dungeons can be cool, but they get really repetitive really quickly.
I like pistol/shield. It has nice defense and is just plain fun. Rifle is also great with it’s controls. I’m underwhelmed by pistol/pistol, even though it is effective. I just don’t like it.
I’m pretty sure everyone only uses Tier 3 gear as “skins”, especially the armor. Any exotic will have better stats, and will cost a LOT less on the trading post.
Anet, please consider either:
1. Buffing Tier 3 gear to be on the level of Exotic gear.
2. Reducing the cost of Tier 3 gear, because it’s frankly not that good stat-wise.
3 to 5 hours per day is not casual. Also, Tier 3 armor sucks compared to much cheaper Exotics (but most of it looks great). The big issue here is that Tier 3 items are grossly overpriced.
I think it also depends on the class. I’m pretty sure 99% of all high level Engineers run Supply Depot, because it is just plain better than the other options (barring racials).
U know what’s funny about this is, I’m constantly thinking that with a full time job and a 1 year old those college kids must have so much more time to play than I do!!
Some of those “college kids” actually have more to do than you’d expect, such as six projects, two of which are 5-page essays, due literally on the same day, as well as being in a hands-on program, meaning having to do a lot of projects constantly.
I miss the days of only needing to write 5 page essays. Wait until you need to do quarterly reports, or worse yet, reports to the government. You’ll also wish you only had to do 5 pages.
Imagine if the answer to the 20 Rats exploit was something like:
“We have determined that there is an exploit that allows players to gain the “indiscriminate Slayer” achievement by killing a bugged number of rats in the Trolls Cave. This will be fixed in the next patch. Any players using this exploit will risk permanent account termination."

That would require effort on Anet’s part, so it’s not going to happen.
The thing with the last few patches is they have made a point of nerfing popular builds, and did minor tweaks to unused abilities that still left those abilities subpar. If HGH gets nerfed, where do Engis go next? And then after the following May patch that nerfs that build, where do they go?
I would love for this to stop. Sadly, many people bought 30 or even 50 keys when the new molten skins became available. That tells anet to make more, not less, RNG.
