this is really a discussion that should be had after the new league season thing, not before

lol I remember the first month after beta or so before the aoe cap was removed. I also remember sitting in a blob ball barely moving shooting at another blob ball in a few “fights”. Dropping blast finishers on multiple fields back when a blast activated any field that was under it before they put the current combo caps in.

It sucked. They first had no aoe caps. then they put in 5 person dps caps but no support/combo caps. Then they moved to the system they have now. A lot of people complain about what is in now, but the alternative was bad.

That is also not taking into account the servers blowing up from not being able to handle it.

I got a full zerk set(armor and trinkets) for pve and a set of pvt armor and soldier runes for wvw.

IOJ got 1 week of T1 and imploded. I believe JQ was the dominant one at that point.

I like the following.

-stomped players get kicked back to spawn(I like this in conjunction with spike only rally)
-no reviving fully downed players unless out of combat for 15-30 seconds
-limiting the rally effect of downing a player. Either make it on spikes only with a high limit(5-10) or make it any method with smaller limit(3-5).

The capturing of towers and keeps in the beta appeared to reward you with a daily loot chest akin to the temple chests. This is an upgrade to what we receive for taking SM.

Wish I would have taken a screenshot of Sunnyhill the other day. Door was stealthier. And I was not the only one to witness this. A few of us tried running through what we thought was an open door ready to contest the circle and all we got was a hard smack in the face by an invisible door =\ stealthed doors exist!

This was an intended change. Players were using supply specifically to level the achievement – and there’s better uses for supply than that. This is our first step towards improving WvW achievements overall.

The main issue I have is that I cannot salvage Invader gear for my ascended PTV/ rabid insignia. To get a set of ascended gear I have to grind dungeons because of this.

The slow roll out of ascended trinket crafting when they could make it level 500 already is a bummer. Anet is forcing the fractal grind still for their new content even though it’s been a year now almost. Anet knows that fractals will become a desolate wasteland when people can get ascended rings from crafting.

All we really need is for superior rams to give constant aoe iron hide. Something akin to the rams used in the dark ages that had a roof to protect the operators from above.

“Match-up sub forums closing” troll post 1/10. Would not read again. April fools day is still months away.

Are you closing this because there were too many exploit/hack accusations? Maybe fix the exploit/hacks instead??? or stop moderating those posts and save your self the time and money. A lot of the “high amount of poison” on these forums were accusations against different servers or guilds using those.

I’m guessing you’re mad that a JQ built a treb in spawn? So you thought it would be a good idea to glitch into JQs spawn to kill it? I don’t know who built it but a lot of the main wvw guilds have discussed this and agreed that its poor form to build a treb there so we don’t.

JQ did this spawn treb almost every time the NE tower was taken last week by either server. In fact there was a 4-5 hour period last week where bg and jq traded this tower and jq only used this treb to break in during that time period.

make sure to tally you wxp ranks every monday.

Because our server chat is private to OUR server, but in this case your posting what BL your on, our numbers, but even worse the chat contains info about a mesmer going to hide in the keep thats about to flip as it happens. Just get in the habit of editing all chat even if you dont think its important.

drop the number of laurels for ascended in WvW and up the badges. issue solved.

15 laurels and 500 badges for any ascended piece. You would only be able to pull 2-3 a month which isnt OP for a time gate itemAnd it would reward active play in WvW with a high badge cost. It would make ascended much more alt friendly.

ZD went to BG for a number of reasons
1. they could not play during their timezone on EU servers (6hour ques)
2. JQ’s matchups made them an unattractive target to transfer to
3. SoR had IRON and a number of smaller guilds which had merged into IRON
4. ZD had scouted both BG and SoR and found that SoR had the greater numbers and presence during their timezone
5. ZD spoke to SoR and were told not to go there

if the matchups had been more even ZD may have transferred to JQ or to one of the other gold league servers but they were not, BG and SoR were matched up for the first 4 weeks and then BG faced JQ in week 5, to get the best fights which server would you chose to play on

people can blame ZD for the win or they can look at MOS and see that BG had already taken back the lead in week 2 before ZD had even transferred over, SoR had a choice to fight harder or give up, a number did fight harder but a lot also gave up and used ZD as an excuse

Decent fights meaning somewhat fair in which you don’t excessively zergblob another server or get zerglob by another server.

You obviously missed out on the sleight tension about ZDs not tagging up on maps. Most of the time you wouldn’t run into ZDs blobbing only a couple PUGs they couldn’t shake. If you ran into ZDs you got out played most of the time.

Here’s where your argument about roster cleaning falls down. If a person is inactive then they’re not playing. Therefore they can’t negatively affect the quality of your fights because they ain’t logged in. Your meaning is clear. You regarded the MERC that didn’t want to follow you as inferior players.

I may have given you the benefit of the doubt, if you hadn’t also called those same players ‘fake’ and ‘incompetent’. Again, here’s exactly what you said: “Fake MERC doesn’t play for ppt so argueing that thier ppt sucks is not indiciative of true coverage. it just proves they are incompetent.”

As you’re aware, I have screenshots of all this.

So, my argument would be:

1. Quoting your own words back at you isn’t taking you out of context.
2. We’re still talking about this because: a. you keep bringing it up, and b. people remember what you actually said.
3. This is an example of my point about you never having acknowledged that there were negatives – resulting from your actions – for the people behind the pixels (Nuked misinterpreted this somehow to be about coverage?).

i predicted TC 3rd place finish at the beginning of the season but it doesn’t mean TC > SoR , it just means TC got some easier matches than SoR.

That being said, SoR is a shadow of itself these days. If the first post-season match was TC-SoR-SoS, the resolution would be in doubt.

I’m curious as to whether or not they’re going to include the WXP earned by characters that have been deleted.
For example, I had a level 80 human warrior that I played a bunch of WvW with but decided he looked terrible and much preferred the charr equivalent and created a new warrior. I just deleted the human just over a fortnight ago since he was just wasted space.
I’ll certainly feel slightly annoyed if his WXP didn’t count. But then again, it would technically be my fault for deleting him.
That said, I am definitely looking forward to this change. Might even put a little guard leech on my ranger… Sweet, sweet condition damage.

That is… a good question. I have deleted 2 level 80 characters not long ago, who had some ranks. Might be worth it.

Brag all you want about how awesome you are at duels and 1v1 but the goal of the game is to work AS A WORLD (aka team) and beat the other two worlds through overall score obtained by PPT measured by captured structures, not how many times you killed the enemy.

But this ppt matchup was decided over a month ago. Measuring BG coverage against SOS and Mag is a stupid waste of time. Going against less coverage means you are probably going against better skilled opponents. That is what I have noticed with playing in the different tiers.

Yeah. You can have him. This guy whos arguing about bg ppt vs sos/mag…. this shouldn’t even be a topic for discussion unless somehow one of them took the top ppt for a little while during the match.

I really dont think people understand that other than t1, most servers dont have a queue on more than eternal and maybe home BL if they are lucky. Most sub t1 servers have guilds that can play ppt and base a lot of their strategy in taking and holding multiple fronts on multiple borderlands. T1 doesn’t lend itself to this type of play because no single guild can hop maps and do this.

But any comparisons in this matchup with regards to ppt/score is stupid. Playing for ppt in this match is stupid. It is all beating a dead horse that was sent to the glue factory 6 weeks ago when the matches were announced. Mag and SOS both fought to get to gold league so that they could always have fights. I doubt they had any delusions on how the score would go or final placement for their servers like JQ and SOR. For 6 weeks they have been beaten down in score….Who cares??? They are getting constant fights.

But for members of BG to even mention PPT this week…. It boggles my mind. T! mentality I guess. This week could have been used for BG to sharpen small man roaming skills. Working outside of the persistent karma trains, looking for fights. try to win a few 5-8bg vs 10 mags/sos so we can really stomp jq and sor in PPT when PPT really matters.
