rng is why I never used the elite elixir in my elixir build, though it’s also because it always gets me killed, 2 second stun is just nicer.
With the other elixirs I just use them like they give no boon, and the boon is just a bonus.
Getting culling even in spvp -_- Hopefully the anti culling patch will make pvp more attractive.
At the end of the day, pvp is always less attractive to most people than pve, cooperating is fun :p

GW2 is getting better for me with each patch though, I’m in for the long haul here :P Just wish there was something I wanted in the gemstore.

hehe the first thing I did in gw1 was to turn on the wsad movement xD Was a bit clunky though. Game wasn’t really designed for it.
The best hint is don’t read the forums, try and get into a guild of fun people and just have fun playing and discovering. Forums for all games are a depressing place.
Because it works. They didn’t even have official forums for ages because it was provided by the community, you don’t need to make redundant things.
gw2lfg exists, therefore it’s not a huge rush. get groups in no time – and anet are working on implementing a similar upgrade to the existing lfg system.
Sounds like a fun class, though you could probably just make all existing staffs into the scythe, and make scepter act like mini ones with a necromancer like graphic.
I’m a bit wary of adding a new weapon when so many classes don’t have access to existing ones that would make sense on their class.
Sigh, downed is not dead, it’s wounded, when wounded you lose access to most of your abilities and mobility, and usually need help to cure said wound.
Just treat downed as part of their lifebar, not a separate state and it will make much more sense. Don’t try to shoehorn your own logic into a game with its own rules, adapt to the rules of the game.
Your main can make a lot of gold, and the vast majority of dyes are very cheap. Just buy some similar colours to the ones you want until you’ve earnt them back.
Alts aren’t supposed to be effortless.
More skills on costume brawls please, then a legendary costume that is your class, so you can finally duel, lol.
If they get rid of stealth for thieves, then they should also do away with elementalist attunements, warrior bursts, necromancer deathshroud, guardian shields, mesmer clones, and ranger pets.
Which makes no sense at all.
tbh getting rid of stealth could only be replaced by steal actually stealing the target’s weapon. Only utilities until the thief decides to put it down, and then they have to go over and pick it up.

if you use the combat mod it does this, or you can just place your mouse in the middle of the screen (depending on the angle) and hold down the right button in combat locking your camera in place.
You can’t just cast in direction as that doesn’t set a range in 3d space like the cursor does.
I think more armour graphics would solve it without using town clothes in combat, the different types of armour at least look combat worthy.

Your guild should be a community, not just a path to loot. If you attract people that don’t care about the other members, what do you expect :p
the only mobs i find annoying are the ones that are easy to kill.
I think it’s just that some mobs are supposed to be more resistant, There are mobs with unshakeable that only get 2 or 3 stacks too.

I’ll stick with my version of the classic grind. Grind in a game is performing actions I don’t particularly enjoy over and over and over because there is no alternative means to progress towards my objective, which is usually to play the whole game.
Using this definition:
- WoW raids with the tier gear system were grind
- GW2 has no grind

The fights should be failable, and affect the zone in some oppressive way like a dragon commander showing up would.
TW did something like this in Rift, with their Invasion events. Quest NPC’s would be dead, hubs under enemy mob control, rifts everywhere. Guess what happened? “I can’t turn my quest in… can’t sell my drops… etc.” So the devs changed invasions so they just disappeared after about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, without anything better than DE rewards, you might find that GW2 zones remained conquered until a large-enough guild had enough people who wanted to do zone completion and took it back. You’d also find plenty of people whose motto is, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going to the forums to complain.”
Back on topic…
Another Jormag anecdote. At one time, the elementals and Icebrood had decent drop rates — frankly, better than the chest. At least on my server, I’d see Jormag land behind his wall, and most of the players there would kill the adds instead of actually doing the event.
And in eve Incursions screw over entire constellations. People do them. It’s no undoable. It could be balanced – also you can res the npcs in gw2 if you need one, and the DEs could just have extra dragon minion vet/mob or so leading/buffing them.
Meh I just wish every zone was like orr, hearts are my antithesis.

Try using defensive gear until you’ve learnt how to be actively defensive (arcane shield / armour of earther / signet of earth are handy – or cleansing fire / signet of water against conditions)
Or just lightning hammer, you are basically invulnerable to anyone you can blind while you are attacking with it (and glyph of storms in earth is another mass aoe reapplying blind)
Will give you lots of survivablity.
It’s more that there are so many bad warriors.
Because people realized the other weapons aren’t worth using. D/D is popular by default of being the least bad weapon set.
More like the easiest to use, ground targeting takes effort.
My ele rocks for exploring, try dagger dagger and pick up some spy kits for nasty situations.
tbh ele rocks for most things. Just wait til your traits start synergising with your abilities and gear.
If you have issues in tight spaces just use glyph of greater elementals and glyph of storms in earth, huge survivability boost. Also lightning hammer has an aoe blind on every third attack, an aoe stun and a knockback, most mobs can’t touch you.
I’d like the tiers back but it doesn’t take any longer to do them if you just make a plan. There are zones for every level group in the zone slayer achievements so there’s a lot of choice.
I want one elite from every school of ability (for example on my ele, an arcane elite, a signet elite and a cantrip elite)
There should at least be one elite for each build, and then have a shorter cd more buildcentric elites from the same schools like gw1.

Tying stacks to players doesn’t seem to negatively affect performance in any other game, I don’t buy that excuse.
Either way if it’s an issue just make bleeds like confusion. Harder to apply, more damaging. It’s very hard to reach the confusion cap. Maybe do something similar with vulnerability.
And fix the traits that increase damage to work with conditions, that’s a ridiculous oversight.
Next time do it properly. Help the golems.

Yeah, while it is nice that my ele has a unique field, electricity seems fitting for engineers too.

Engi mechanics are a lot of fun. I disagree with this suggestion, in the same way I disagree with the same suggestion on the ele forums.
The classes need something differentiating them.
I love the improved enemies, you don’t want a bag of hp that is no threat.
I haven’t noticed many legitimate complaints in the ele forum.
