Ok anet when will the warrior get anything?
You increased base dmg for warrior when revs/thieves/ and now druids do more dps base damage. How can we even compete when revs have 2 heals? Thieves have invisibility and shadow step to get away? Druids have cele form which means warrior has to do enough damage to take them down before they use it or sustain enough to get them down twice.
You gave us alot of condi dmg but the majority comes from being in beserk mode. Rev just smashes button and boom 5-6 stacks of torment/chill/psn and mesmers are now playing bunker passive condi and with warriors single target attacks it becomes very difficult to land these big burst hits when mesmer can go invulnerable/distortion/blink away. All the while going invisible and stacking 1-3 confusion/burn/bleed and its constant.
Who is warrior suppose to beat? What is its role in team fights when literally every other class fills a role better and its not just one class but its 2-3 classes better at support/dps/bunker/free lancing/ group fights/ 1 vs 1 fights/ and i sit here wondering what to do.
I feel like Ele is in this same spot but it has 2 decent builds imo but this class has been forced into shouts but warrior doesnt even have stat. Warrior has been forced into stances and its not even that good.
The rage skills have to be the worst skills in the game as well, for PvP and WvW and i know Anet cares far more for PvE but really? Really these skills have limited range, can easily be side stepped and the heal skill alone makes me wonder if the warrior should still be a class in PvP.
At some point will warrior get anything useful for PvP?
I use to complain about this trait non stop on both forums but obviously anet likes it. When your in beserk mode your trying to dish dmg and if you trait for this you have to die for it to work. Its like the Ele elite shout execpt the ele skill does something if you dont die.
The beserker trait line is easily one of the worst trait lines in the game when base warrior specs need each other to be effective. Arms needs discpline for more dps/condi clear,burst damage and adrenaline but if you do you have no defensive sustain. If you grab defense trait line you cant do as much damage as other classes.
Heres the kicker for all of it, the beserker trait line made warriors better then ranger at pew pew but not better then power hammer revs or mesmers. It gave warrior condi but not as good at condi as necro,condi thief (since they can share) or condi rev, so the beserker trait line literally makes warrior worse at everything then every other class.

Have you tried d/w with earth 3-3-3 water 1-2-2 and tempest 3-2-3 with rune of the soldier?
The biggest problem i have is Anet has always forced eles to play X build. Like before it was cantrips and when they saw people able to use conjure weapons they nerfed them so ele could only play cantrips and right now ele can only play shouts.
While this is true for other classes as well like warrior but some classes can play multiple builds and still be successful which a game should have.
Wow i didnt know you could get multiple rewards for multiple teams i thought you could only get rewards for your highest team. I understand you not being happy with the rewards.
The people from my guild were more excited for the trophy and unfortunately it was a little disappointing. Our Guild rank was 29 so this was the silver trophy.
Anet if you guys want this game to be esports it’s time to let conquest go. Not only the balancing is horrible but this game has the worse game mode for esports also which doesn’t help with the balance at all. Time to get a piece of paper and start from scratch.

If you want to complain about balancing,patching,bugs, and a few other things thats fine. Conquest is a great system and imo mobas are lame.
Would i like to see other type of game modes for fun? Of course but conquest has the most layers of any type of PvP.
Where to rotate, are people counting heads(the guy who leaves mid to run far and theres already 2 people killing 1 and still jumps in) are you targeting, do players builds complement each other, do you fight in the circle, do you fight outside the circle?
Conquest is the closest thing to a real sport when it comes to a video game because you have the ability to create a shaq type of player who dominates in the circle or to play from the outside like a steph curry. Its probably really hard for games and casual players because everyone wants to see the stats/bars/numbers so they can crunch.
PLease though if you dont like conquest then dont play it because i refuse for death matches and mobas to be the only way to play PvP in games.
Im willing to say from there balance patches and latests nerfs and boost. They simply wanted a big change in the meta. Bunker wars had scrappers using maruder ammy and high level players on rangers typically using soldiers. Revs were using vipers and so you had a good mix of classes using different ammys.
They simply instead of fixing the new HOT specs and balancing the current weapons/ utility skills/ etc etc went and said bam whole new meta. Currently no one knows the best 5 man team or the best individual builds for team fights and 1 vs 1.
By creating a new meta they are trying to hide the fact that everything was made far to easy with the new specs.
Scrapper 2 skill reflects incoming dmg/ 4 skill aoe stun base weapon skills.
Ele- shouts heal everyone/ give auras which give regen and vigor/ all boons on overloard
necro- chill now does damage= terrormancer build dead, reaper form does great dps and is granted stacks of stability by pressing 3 and it just pulses.
ETC ETC ETC ETC
Every class was just given free boons, more dps ,more condi, more heals, more condi cleansing and you literally hit 1 button. Before HOT you had to think about when to use your skill because you only had 1 shout that gave stability, only 1 shout that gave protection but now every shout does everything.
Anet probably wont balance the new specs but continuously nerf 1 class and buff another creating new metas each season while adding in some OP rune/ sigil from time to time.
you have to run a combo of distance and close range weapons since warriors weapons cant do both. For instance the longbow/rifle are not good weapons up close and the melee weapons are probably the worse base dmg in the game.
So to be effective you either need to run a mace/axe/sword with shield with longbow and go condi with these.
Otherwise you want to go dps with great sword and rifle. The idea with both build is to gain as much adrenaline as possible in a short amount of time. So with melee class its headbutt and to me with the rifle build its the elite signet so you have ability to use your F1 skills 1 right after the other.
You can try some other things but against really good players and team fights you will be focused so it would be hard running anything else. In the current meta you have around maybe 8 seconds to down someone before its to much and your out of skills to use if your being targeted.
I look at it like this. It separates the bad/average/good/great/ and best players in the game.
For instance i was low on health and it was a 3 vs 3 fight. All of a sudden a thief jumped in insta killed me. I literally didnt even see my down state and i saw him run out of the fight. Perfect timing and i was impressed.
Its like any live sport like basketball or kick boxing. If your throwing low kicks over and over and looking at his legs and he defending your gonna look at his leg and throw the head kick. Another example would be like a PG on the fast break. You have a 3 vs 2 and you are running down the middle 1 on the left and one on the right. There is literally 8 things you can do and you have about 2 sec to decide.
Those who can multi-task the best and see whats happening before it happens will have the most success.
yesterday i tried running a non shouts ele with staff and omg it was bad. I actually tried to run my old staff build with a different ammy. Earth/water/arcane with stone heart and omg it was bad.
Even with stone heart and 40% protection people were hitting me for 2-4k per hit with the condi dmg and i only had 17k health. I was like wow because this was a legit bunker build for years and now it does literally nothing.
Every class does so much dmg and delivers so much condi so fast, the passives from the new spec are so essential now its sad.
Dragonhunters were nerfed to balance it better at lower divisions, at high divisions, Dragonhunters are just worse & slightly different Revenants/Scrappers.
Cry nerf but it’d probably be bad to change DH for the worse, ever. If anything, buff them with some mechanic to heighten how good they can be if they master a really difficult/skillful mechanic.
I dont always agree with chaith but its nice to see a top level player engage on the forums on builds with the general public.

OP, I agree that traps are OP, but I don’t think the size is the problem. The problem is that they can be chained together because of their short cast times or lack thereof. What class do you play? If you have any kind of companion like mesmer clones or ranger pets, you can send them in ahead of you to take the effects of the trap. If a DH leaps onto you, try dodging. You might just avoid the daze altogether. If you’re stunned, wait for the traps to trigger before popping a stunbreak (unless it gives you stability)
But as OP as traps are, DHs are sort of weak without them and are somewhat prone to pressure. In the end, the guy above me is right that we have to adapt and counter it however we can. Anet won’t balance them properly so we’ll have to make do with what we have.
There are many threads on the counters.
Someone at another time posted all the skills from weapons, pets, utility skills that trigger them without you stepping inside them such as rev hammer 3 skill.
Some people are posting threads for attention, others to vent, some do it from being completely new etc etc but in all honesty when a build like DH only effected the bad players in the game from a game to game perspective, its a L2P issue.

Quite so. ATM, wars maybe not the brightest and shiniest among all classes, but they are solid “ok”. The reason why they are “ok” and not “good” is a part of community, who thinks that warrior must be hot’n’cold in the same time, “because it’s a warrior and he’s tough guy, why must i learn and think”.
In all honesty your comments dont make alot of sense but in your post you wanted to talk PvP mostly so lets talk.
Lets not talk last patch because warrior was by far the most useless character ever in a season and lets move forward. You say warrior is solid and though not the best its not the worst. What does this mean?
Lets talk condi build, so far the best ive come up with is a mace/shield with longbow build and when ive played my friends on tester builds since the patch im still losing a majority of them to condi revs. So right off the bat its gonna be a 3-4-5 option with necro-rev and X class for condi builds.
Lets move to dps and ive done great sword with either rifle/ or mace shield once again we tested some 1 vs 1 and thief i would beat in 1 vs 1 but in 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 would get caught. In scrimmages the thief would focus me down if i was fighting off point. Same thing with mesmers, this doesnt mean its not as good as these classes in the off point dps but it brings up another thing.
Mobilty, thieves and mesmers have better ability to get out of fights, +1 fights, jump into fights then warriors. Lets talk boon shares and team support since ele/guardians/ are still better. Lets talk best 1 vs 1 build its not warrior.
When you say in a good spot i sit here laughing and when you decide to comment back and actually make a point i sit back and wonder what you are talking about. Yeah i can go into unranked atm win a 1 vs 2 on my warrior against 2 bad players but had we had to have another season start right now, it will still greatly under perform vs equally skilled players vs stronger builds which there are plenty to name.
Taking others players post who dont have a great deal of insight or ability of the class and using them as your offensive point making is laughable and the simple idea because you can have moments of good play against poor players/ bad teams / unskilled know it alls does not make the class in a good place.
I was told to write in the game option to report because i complained constantly about the rune of the mad king and those stun sigils. Its been a good year or so and i quit trying and i assume they either are working on it or dont know how to fix it.
Lol you may prefer dps wars to bunker wars but its the exact opposite meta. When 90% of classes spam condi like chewing bubble gum and now thieves back stab for 9k, its still a terrible meta.
What amulet are you running cause it doesn’t have a whole lot of toughness. Or the fact you have like 8secs of 0 dmg?

Like any other class? If you lost a 1v2 don’t feel bad, on equal footing the 2v1 is always gonna win. You needed a teammate rotation for a 2v2 and you didn’t get one.
On my warrior i can sustain a tiny bit but mesmers/thiefs spam so much condi and blind its a bit frustrating. Also the fact that engy has better base dmg in melee and guardians cant be attacked with there F3 skill just feels dumb.
Condi thf hahaha. Other than that it sounds like you were outplayed and not rolling to avoid D/P 3. I was two shot by a GS 3 + F2 yesterday cause thfs are paper when they get hit by something.
Lordsicky made a comment about this game purely being about comps and rotations and he/she is 100% correct. This meta change didnt do anything but change of the pace of a already destroyed system.

A few things,
The ele comment is that there is no options. Before HOT you could play staff bunker, obviously the OP d/d build but i didnt play that. Right before they nerfed conjure weapons i met a guy in a AG tournament who ran the shield/frostbow and fiery great sword. My simple complaint here is the lack of choices ele has, it cant tank anymore and it cant deal the dmg every other class in the game can. If i cant sustain even for a little bit a ele will fall out of use.
The warrior thing vs thief and mesmer. I won both fights but i found it to simple be disgusting. The thief was constantly hitting me with a blind which is fine. I set up a burst condi a attack and i apply 8 stacks of confusion, 8 stacks of bleed, cripple and torment and i simply wait for this thief kill himself but nope. He uses all of his utility skills runs off heals and runs back in 2 sec and we begin the fight all over again.
Against the mesmer he was staff/ well/condi and again i land the big hit and he removes all condi instantly. He applies condi to me and i use zerker stance and the fight drags on. Im running a build with no condi clear and landing all the big hits i need to. I was just trying to say that there are to many skills that are get out of jail free.
Also im sorry if you feel that is the EU meta for years but IMO this meta isnt any better. There are no new builds, they didnt add/buff old builds to be viable, and they still didnt add any give and take. I didnt feel like the meta before HOT was like that.

If they didnt nerf conjure weapons, made sure d/d wasnt king of builds simply gave ranger and mesmers a little more. Thief backstab damage wasn’t changed at all in the patch.

me and some pvp friends were simply build crafting and when i used beserker or maruder ammy with a power ammy such as hoelbrak or pack. A thief could get me with 9k with air and fire sigils.
Its not a all around statement that it will do this to every class and/or build because it wont but it has the potential too.
I would not say all other classes got a buff. Mesmers for example got shafted in this latest patch. I’m a warrior and even i was like “DAAAAAANG, that sucks!”
Look, we all know warrior sucks. There is nothing posting on these boards can do about that except compalin to thin air. the only way we are going to get any changes is if we all band together in one unified voice and tell them what we want. This is why TheBravery has spend the equivalent of a second job developing a meaningful re balance, and why i have spent the same working on a complete rebuild. Others have made attempts as well, but without the support of the forums and the drive to get noticed nothing will ever change.
You do realize many players who played mesmer with streams said that it was a over nerf and many such as trigr and Lord Helseth made actual and real suggestions to the class so it had weaknesses and strengths.
Anet will do what they do and as the gamers who play we will either move on or sit here on this tidal wave of pain.
Am I the only one that enjoyed the bunker meta? Obviously, with the issue of the broken bunker mesmer aside, there were some benefits, such as:
- Players would have to group up to take a point. It was useless trying to 1v1 a bunker, but once you got a +1, you could usually take the point.
- Protecting a point would actually be fun. When you were getting 1v1’d or 2v1’d you’d have to make sure you played it well or you would get taken down quickly. Mistakes were quickly amplified as they had a cumulative affect on your HP, and how your team would do.
- Roaming was essential. You’d need people to help +1 on the points. Now as soon as someone gets a point, everyone runs away because it can be easily recapped.
Maybe I’m alone in this, but I really feel like the bunker meta forced people to be more mechanically sound players. Holding points and rotating was the name of the game, where now it’s about how fast you can 100-0 someone.
The perfect meta is suppose to be both, we are suppose to have bunkers but that shouldnt mean they are unkillable or take so much time to kill that actually killing them makes no difference.
Now we have everything dies meta which isnt any better. Some like you will have liked the grind of the match. Some will like the constant deaths of the new meta, for me they are the same.
ATM there are no classes that can sustain for 20 sec in a 1 vs 2 so pure bunker builds are gone. Thieves are back in the front of the pack of dps so revs/warriors/mesmers will need to be careful if they want to play at a high level. Its a bit frustrating to play atm after the season.
I assume team comps in this meta will be 3-4 supportive types that are all around and 1-2 high dps players.

How about the beserker trait line actually does something, every class got huge buffs.
Thief- extra dodge/ dps-condi-boon selection on dodge and condi removal on a evade attacks. This goes so well with so many things.
engy- hammer weapon is strongest melee weapon in game with reflection(not traited) and a aoe stun(not need to land actual attack) a trait that improves healing and damage reduction
I can go on forever but warrior but the beserker trait line and the beserker mode is ok but so many weapons are worse like hammer. Lets not go on about how now you have to choose between 1 bit hit on Kill Shot and multiple little his in beserker mode.
This spec line is stupidly weaker in PvP and WvW compared to its counter parts and Anet cant buff it because it works great in PvE. Its such a joke that you have to choose this condi spec line or power/defense/utilitys skills when every other class literally got everything with there 1 spec line.
it’s the weakest line with the weakest damaging condition in game…like why it still exist, even strength line is better at condition then this..
It works well with a 3-4 signet build in PvP with rifle. I usually run signet of endurance and precison with berserker stance and the elite and healing signet.
I use power 2-2-1/ arms 2-2-2 and beserker 1-1-3 with maruder ammy.
I actually use a anti-stability build with warrior in PvP with mace shield and either longbow or hammer with the power/defense trait line with beserker.
The most frustrating thing for me is beserker trait line is only better then the Old Core Warrior if perfectly traited. My guild mates and I have done some 1 vs 1 testing with old warrior and beserker warrior actually the old warrior build was better.
The title i think should be changed to why does warrior still exist for WvW and PvP?

Maybe i should just run passive condi dmg builds like necro or mesmer. I simply could run a stealth gyro engy or thief and wait for it to go away.
Maybe but last time i checked warrior is still a part of this game and when so many of its skills are time based 130 range weapons and simple stun break and smash of the F3 negates hammer/shield/mace/sword skills skills that need to be set up and are not brain dead. Facing someone of decent skill will know when to time it.
Anyone who was any good last PvP season could get to legendary running bunker mesmer/ power rev/ and scrapper and with the complete destruction of the earth trait line with ele in PvP. It be nice if there was actual counters and set ups to dmg then me simply smashing buttons on my OP BUILD.

I can go down the list of things that just feel so dumb but this meta is crap just like the other one.

2) A better match making system. 1+1+1+1+1 v 5 or 2+3 isn’t cutting it.Number 1 is probably the most vital of the two… the whole meta is based on what is going on within PvE. The whole Bunker Meta and CC craze came with each class obtaining traits and skill to be of use within Raids.
If the next wing requires a ton of Condi and condition traits and skills get a ton of love, guess what the next meta in PvP is going to revolve around? that’s right conditions! Until anet separates the two game modes 100% you can expect PvP to follow what ever is meta within PvE. In this case, what ever is needed for Raids.

Why are they balancing around a PvE dungeon? It seems odd when you have Esports and WvW to be focused on such a small group of people to have the right stuff. Even if you based balance around PvP you could change the bosses in raids to match the correct difficulty levels.
My 2nd question is do they talk about build diversity? Like spirit rangers could be great for 1 vs 1 but poor in team fights and power rangers should be good in team fights but poor at 1 vs 1?
Im just really curious, since the HOT release i have felt there is less builds to play and less ways to have a effect on a match. Obviously you might have no knowledge of the insights of the balancing game but im interested if you know anything and if you could share.

My Routine:
Read the forums ->Grab threads from PvP -> Compile them into a weekly report -> throw in my 2 cents -> send email to anet -> wait 4-5 days for confirmation they received it and thats it…I do talk to a couple of anet people on a day-day basis but its more of a friendship basis and they don’t like talking about work during their off hours unless they have too.

I am guessing the original developers of the combat system moved on to better things and the people who came after were just not of the same talent.
the people who made the game understood that builds had to give up something to make the game skill based with counterplay. When they merged all the traits they just let everyone have everything. The result is a game based on spam and rotations basically. It took all the skill out of it, and that was a while ago now. I basically quit a few days after that patch. It was so stupid. Such a huge power creep.
Would an fps be fun if everyone carried round nukes and everyone also had made body armour? Nope. It would be balanced, sure. But its not good design. Look at gw2 now. Everyone has perms boons. Perma condis. Perma condi clear. Perma 6k attacks. Perma healing. There are traits which are a whole build in one trait. There was a reason alot of these traits were spread out before. If you wanted to run signets there were a few traits to take. Meditations on guardian meant a few traits. That meant builds were more focussed on a role and had weaknesses which could be exploited with skilled play.
Look at some of the traits now. They are insane . They are about 4 traits combined. This is madness. That is why the game is dead. People play pvp for pve rewards. That is all.
There are about 20 dudes probably not talented enough to suceed at real esports games who will exploit the fact anet is giving away a bit of money for their dead game. There is no skill i this game. Its all based on comp, has been for 18 montns. And on spamking rotations on a point.

Its funny you say this because in beta i poked at 2 classes all of a sudden having all the boons and people told me to L2P.
Now everyone says the game has no skill but i would have to say this game is far more spammy.
As a Dps warrior you had to choose between balance stance and frenzy. Small stuff like more dps,condi cleanse, stability, team heals changing the dynamics of a match but it all went away with the HOT release.
Druids with the ability to heal all condi and AOE heal, scrappers with there AOE stun double mini escape and perma every boon, and this went for every class but warrior and thief.
It really is sad to me that right before HOT they nerfed d/d ele and if they only nerfed a few other things and buffed some other stuff classes would of had multiple choices for PvP comps and builds.
VS the EU teams? I dont know how the playoffs work, i really hope there is more then 4 teams going because that its the worst finals ever but Rank 55 and Vermilion have always been there with TCG and ORNG but all of them are kids.
NA lost some players because of the age restriction and the fact every team trades players left and right like jock straps. Like Apex had there reasons to get rid of OE but Tarcis wasnt playing very well on necro and OE had his moments on it but NA teams have no stability.
First question is for the first photo. Im just curious on the time frame on when it will be fixed.
2nd question is about the Guild Leader Boards and the rewards. Im curious is it for all 4 seasons we have to stick with the guild challenger league or are we getting some type of reward in the near future?

For me its that this game meta was so close to perfection before the HOT. You had power warriors/ shoutbow, you had thieves and mesmers on teams. A small buff to some unusable skills to make them fun for solo ques and a nerf to d/d ele would of been perfect for this game.
The would of rather had HOT be more game maps, another game mode then the new specs. It really is starting at the bottom of the mountain again. Really OP spec lines, destroying old GW2 builds and making some classes unplayable. Before HOT EU teams had 1 mesmer, 1 thief, 1 guardian, 1 warrior and x class. On NA it was the double ele 1 thief x – x class. A nerf to ele and a slight buff to ranger would of made team comps unpredictable since every class brought something tot he table. Before this patch it was 2 mesmer 2 rev and x class for literally every team. A king of the hill or a stronghold capture of the flag style of game would of been alot better then stronghold and the new HOT spec lines.
Its not that this game is as bad as others its simply that its not as good as it used to be and we paid money for a expansion. The expansion didnt give us anything fun, we are simply grinding and waiting for the game to become fun again.
i can understand your frustration, i took this pick early sunday before the Football games and when i logged in the next day we were in 29th. We couldnt break it if we wanted to since we all got jobs at different times but we were like ahhhhhh so close.
It would be helpful if you said what time you usually play and which server you are on.
So i have complained alot but i feel i was correct in all the issues. The reason this game keeps getting me to come back is the really good mechanics, great visuals and amazing map areas.
2 Of my guild members made our own personal jumping puzzle in the Gilded Hollow and i have to say it was the coolest thing ive seen since it was made by my guys. Just sharing some pics

My 2 favorite characters in this game was always Caithe and Eir and this HOT story really took a dump on both.
Eir being the leader of DE and causing snaffs death and her struggle in the original story with that. The way some norn npc talked about her made her feel like a old hero who was just waiting to get torn down.
Caithes story and the sylvari in general is such a rich concept. Her love for another who doesnt feel the same and is forced to choose between so much. That and her bringing DE back together and knowing the true dangers of the Elder Dragons.
All in all the hot story was straight doo doo and felt rushed and incomplete.

You can grind all you want, you need skill to get to diamond ( ele, mesmer, druid are not counted in my eyes, they will be counted in season 2 )

Alot of the ESL teams are actually all friends with one another so when you look at the top guild teams/ top players in legendary/ etc etc etc. They are all in it together and all of of them seem to be young kids.
So you can see see how they would get along.
So i just finished the story line and i would like to say a few things on what i liked and didnt like. This thread will have spoilers if you havent done the story so stop now.
Pros-
1) Not nearly as grindy as the scarlett story line. The scarlett story line was amazing but the missions in PvE areas were so grindy and took so much time to get the AP points. This has some replay value with different classes so thats a good thing.
2) In world commentary instead of the cut scenes. This was great because in some instances the people i needed to talk to were dead so i had to do the event and rez them. It gave a real sense of the struggle and how many people are dying to this dragon.
3) Its looks amazing and the boss fight. My goodness the boss fight was amazing and all the new PvE areas you run around to are great. Its simply awesome, by far the best part for me.
OK now the negative
1) Where did the other half of the story line go? GW2 base story line had so much more. As a commander you brought together the pact to make Trinity, you got to see the process in which Destinys Edge came together and there struggles threw the dungeon story lines. All the character and members of this team literally died the second eir died. If you were going for shock value, you got me but everyone simply turned into robots afterwards. So the next thing is the old asuran area. If someone can explain to me how we get there and there is no “real” information on the dragons and yet i come to the conclusion to fight this dragon in a dream? How is it trahearne can open it up? Why is trahearne used as a seed when we are right next to him? Omg none of this makes sense at all to me, where did it come from? Seriously me and 2 other people are going into straight combat with a Elder Dragon? Wow did no one else think to do this? You know the most powerful beings in the know universe but nope me, robin and alfred will just walk in and kill him. Really?
2) Why was i such a jerk? I played as a ranger asuran had i had multiple moments where i was like did i even do that stuff from GW2? The way i talked to and about the sylvari, if i remember correctly it was the pale tree who gave me the keys to kill zhaitan. It was also trahearne who who was kind of my side kick the whole way threw to killing a elder dragon. Seriously it was like i had no experience as being a leader. Another point im talking to a crazy norn who pets a vinetooth and his partner got killed. I said he was a fool and this and that and i was like sitting here looking at my 3 foot character and her pet TIGER and DRAGON. Really , really really?
3) 2 and 3 kind of go together but why are we pushing this group to being so much better? I counted 3 times where braham, myself and rytlock saying how much stronger this dragon is and how much stronger this group is over Destiny Edge. What? How? Destiny Edge and trahearne killed a elder dragon and to this point in the story, this group has killed a crazy sylvari? Does rytlock have any back bone at all? When your part of a team you would never just talk smack about your own team mates. Seriously the characters in here are so kitteny for no reason at all and take shots at the older characters. After defeating the dragon braham and rytlock are like which dragon next. What? Seriously we have been at war with this dragon for 2 years where braham lost mother, we all lost a friend (trahearne) and countless others have died.
4) Lastly, what the deal with Destiny Edge? Caithe steals the egg because it was her vision, ok why do i hate her so much and why was it her dream when it wasnt for her? Why is rytlock not explaining anything about his new abilities and why he almost couldnt care less about his old team? Why is anet trying so hard to say this group is better then DE? Why do i give the egg away after the exalted say they are the protectors of the egg? I have to be the dumbest commander ever if i just take things at there word. If they said they pooped ice cream i probably would of eaten it.
Its funny because GW2 core story line has so much rich story with the dungeons and just the feeling of it all. After defeating zhatian going to the base and seeing people celebrate with fireworks and people just being happy and thinking of a brighter future. Problem was the cheesy cut scenes and terrible end fight.
In HOT i ran into a ton of problems. Having to get mastery points just to do the story line, the story feeling rushed and incomplete, the characters not feeling real to the moments after eir death, the constant shots being taken at DE and zhaitan.
I gave the Core story of GW2 a 8/10 and simply said it wasnt as good as GW1 or WOWs.
GW2 HOT i have to give the story 5/10.
I guess they could create some system to check for builds but then which builds are allowed in ranked and which not? In this case with minionmancer its obvious but there are more horrible builds that are less obvious.
I fear anet cant fix this.

At some point you actually have to fix the PiP system which you put in place. I know its the end of the season but its this reason and que times that i play in unranked more then ranked. You had a chance to fix this all season and im wondering why you didnt?

People shouldn’t queue ranked with friends significantly worse than they are, that’s what unranked is for. And that has nothing to do with divisions, but taking your pve player friend and going into unranked is just asking for trouble (for your teammates as well).
Not really anything Anet can do to stop idiots from queuing, unless you can also drop divisions. Overall I’ve had better experience with the new system, but I admit it has flaws as well.
Who is this for? Playing with your friends is what you are suppose to do. Why not just ban bad players from queing as well? Lets just ban all non HOT players/ meta players / Pro level players as well.

When did I say we should ban players from playing? I said that queuing with significantly weaker friends in ranked with the current system is not a smart thing to do. We could go back to the old system and have everyone abuse the hell out of it. Or we could MMR as a metric instead of pips to get more accurate matchmaking with whoever you play. But hey, that’s not going to happen as it leaves people in certain %s.
Stop being salty over a comment in the internet. If you want to go lord rush at start with your rank 20 friends in ranked matchmaking, it’s not my place to judge you. As long as the matchmaking is what it is, it will screw over other people in your team but that’s perfectly fine.
If you could lose divisions, then maybe people wouldn’t stop caring after hitting Legend.

Seriously ive heard it all. 1 person on my team cried because we had to face team PZ and asked them why they were in ranked. I had another person do the same thing when we had to face APex. The pro players all made the same joke about people saying ohhh i can play the game but you cant or go play unranked.
Im saying it doesnt matter, people will say something dumb like go play in unranked for any reason that hurts them. I want you to actually change your opinion on the matter and ask for a better MM system.
You can do them in unranked which helps a bit.
Thats what we do but its still feels impossible. We were doing the 800 pt one and there was 5 of us. Our que time took 9 minutes and the match took 10 minutes. We started queing again and we get the match. We literally had 1 minute to get 180 pts. We won the previous match so we were like there is nothing we can fix about this.

I dont know how you guys do it, i fell asleep literally for like 5 secs 2 days ago after a 12 min que time and i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Anytime it gets over 15 minutes i just leave. I dont know how anet plans to keep people around when literally its 3 matches and i leave the game because of long que times.
