Lol this is one of the biggest parts of the game for PvP, Pro league teams say hey im about to go down and many of there team mates will run to him for heals or the rez.
Anet something for this next time. I just lost 4 matches and they were bad and all 4 games i had a thief on my team. Im 100% ok with people playing what they want and having fun with a build.
This isnt fun for me though for many reasons. 1 im trying to get to legendary mostly because it be cool for me personally.
2 It feels like alot of carrying. Your having some thieves literally telling you where to go so they can be decap only players. Today i had a thief decap a point and it was a 4 vs 4 at mid. He left us to decap far and he was gonna try and cap it and he just ran when he saw someone. So many moments like this. We lost mid and they took there home back immediately. It turns into a rage war with him yelling at us to win the 2 points and the rest of the players telling him to reroll a class.
3 Its obvious many of these players didnt get here on thief. I should of taken a screen shot but i had 2 thieves and a warrior on my team and 1 person says our team comp is really bad and no one cared. I personally take my warrior,thief,mesmer, guardian into unranked since im not the best with those classes and its diamond/legendary players im mostly playing with and its not fair to them.
So next season take this into account. What class they got into there higher level divisions.

new or returning player? Rev has one of 4 meta build out there. It’s great for both 1v1 and group fight. Not the strongest in either categories, but it is great that you can do both with 1 build.

The new players aren’t coming or are quickly driven away by being hammered in matches. I brought a guardian friend to pvp, after getting crushed 5v1 he vowed never to come back.
Anet could mitigate the damage somewhat by bringing back solo queue. In fact, I think all ranked matches should be solo queue. I haven’t pvp’d yet in GW1 but my understanding is that teams aren’t permitted?
If the intent were truly to be competitive and skill based, teams would be forbidden since they give a major advantage and conceal the weakness of individuals.
I’m no longer certain that ANET wants pvp to succeed.
A 5 vs 1 situation is L2P issue since only 2 things could of occured.
1) he ran into a point he was gonna get slaughtered at.
2) Team mates are either running in 1 by 1 or fighting at another point and lost therefore starting the snowball effect.
Both are L2P issues that deal understanding your class/build/team set up and not acting like a hero. PvE players typically do that to since you can kind of just run into mobs. Here in PvP land, its not so forgiving.

My points of view are coming from someone who plays mostly PvP and WvW. The people o know play mostly PvP and WvW and all of us are feeling the exact same way.
DId they reset leaderboards?
Did they make the PvE story line accessible for us?
Did they make any of the new PvE legendary armors available to us?
Did they balance the PvP meta before starting a league?
Did they fix the match making and que times for league?
Of course you guys are able to disagree or agree. Some of you may love the new PvE content but for those who said they are waiting for the new living story. Imagine these people will be in the frustrated boat that the which PvP and WvW players are in.

Another thing is you guys are saying they addressed the criticisms which is great. Good for anet for responding but that doesnt fix anything. Everything we are posting is old news, the WvW videos i posted came from a interview over 6 months ago.
Maybe im incorrect about the state of the game and im simply need to move on. Maybe a big part of the reason its failing is the communitys are so different. Im listing things one after another things that many find to be a problem now,in beta and months before the release. People are talking about how WvW is taking a backseat to PvP due to esports yet many of the Pro level players are writing threads about the state of PvP. WvW commanders on the state of WvW.
Then you have people you take the opposite side saying give them time/ i dont feel the way you do and doesnt explain what they enjoy about the game or what they play most. I could be wrong but i dont think so.

Im no ESL player so my MMR cant be as high as theres. These are getting nasty though. This is happening alot too and really kind of just want to get my dailys and move on so its getting hard.
I know other people have posted about this but the season is already 1/2 over and my que time isnt near theres but wow, every other que feels like 10 minutes.

Its funny because i honestly feel alot of us probably hit a snag. For me it was emerald t4 and i was like why am i losing im so much better then these people. Eventually i got to diamond aswell.
I mostly solo que with a few duo and trio ques. Actually the first week of the season i was 5 man teaming it and we rushed threw amber and i solo much of the way from there. Ive gotten to t2 diamond but i know ive hit my cap and alot of the games are actually interesting and fun again.
I would like to point out the WvW community keep referencing these videos because they way currently is. Please do not forget that the people of this game created there own WvW forum because of whats been happening. Pretending anet is gonna snap their fingers and bam everyone will be ok is insane. Im simply pointing out people are leaving the game from my personal guild slash friends list and a serious question needs to be asked about how they are gonna keep the incoming players in the game.
Not directed at you but I need to put a disclaimer as it seems some people think that I do not believe people should be able to criticize the game. I wasn’t arguing against your belief that there’s something wrong with how Anet is handling WvW but others seem to think so either because they didn’t read my posts or chose to see only what they wanted.

Same reason why core Tyria maps cannot have gliding. They simply were not designed for it. Think about it for a sec. All a player would need to do was buy somewhere with a high elevation and then simply glide into an enemy’s tower/keep ignoring all defenses. There’s also the potential to break out of the map and cheat.
Why was the liquid xp changed? Why no cross specs/mastery points? Why no new WvW traits, reward tracks? Why very basic PvP rewards tracks and only 1 repeatable one?
Players had stacks of these. This would have allowed them to simply bypass any effort to earn the elite specs. This was something that Anet did not want to happen.
WvW is undergoing a major overhaul sometime next year. A lot of those changes you could have seen come with the expansion were likely held back to be incorporated into that new system. It wouldn’t make since to spend resources to add a reward system now to only scrap it later on in the future so it works with the new system.
My guild is at 29 and we started so strong and we have basically all but of died since the HOT. Why couldnt WvW upgrades in the Guild Hall require WvW participation? Why isnt the guild hall PvP room require you to do a PvP guild hall reward track?
I’m not sure how you could really measure WvW participation since they don’t have a system for it and it would have created extra work to have multiple methods to progress a guild hall. What they could have done was not have some of the WvW upgrades require such high guild levels.
Guild hall PvP room isn’t sPvP and doesn’t follow the same restrictions as sPvP. That’s probably two of the reasons why reward tracks to not progress there.
I still havent finished the new story line because i cant since i dont spend a ton of time in PvE. I got up too level 3 gliding and 1/2 threw 4 and it was a huge mistake since i only have 1 to other things and it requires learning a language among other things to progress threw the story.
The new story line doesn’t take any more than 3-4 hours so long as you’ve earned the masteries that are required for it. I suggest doing the DS meta event with XP boosters to help you get the XP for unlocking that mastery. Just focus on tagging as many enemies as you can.
WvW is 1 thing but im truly wondering if they are gonna make the game better. Making changes now to WvW and if they are as bad as the HOT release then WvW will be all but done. I have quit playing WvW and i really only pop in to do my daily PvP rewards and i soon will probably quit logging into that since its been nearly 4 years and there have been no changes/additions worth the $200 i put into the original and expansion game.
They will continually find ways to improve the game. Some things you may like and some things you may not. They cannot please everyone. Have you seen what they plan to change for WvW within the first part of next year? There’s also the revamp that they’re working on which will hopefully improve things. No details about what that could be as of yet.
This is a very odd response.
1) The guild PvP room will be used by who? People who mostly PvP or WvW yet its PvE are the upgrades needed.
2) They implemented new maps, with the new maps they should of made it glide able. Maybe not Eb but the new maps yes. Unless your only thinking about certain players for the game. Also the liquid xp shouldnt be a big deal either way. Why is it when people have 7-8-9- characters is it a bad thing for 2-3 of there characters to be power leveled in a new spec?
Also the numbers i was referring to had only to do with my guild. A guild who had 40 strong members who would log in the week and 10+ who mostly WvW who quit playing. Thats not some made up number and they didnt want to wait. these are people ive been playing the game with since gw1 and decided to play pillars of eternity and dungeon defenders due to what they call the destruction of WvW.
3) I do so much PvP and WvW that the question for me becomes why do i HAVE TO DO PVE? Why cant i simply play the parts of the game i enjoy to do the story line? I have 2 characters with 100% completion and 4 characters with full ascended gear so ive done my fair bit of PvE but atm there is leagues and ive shown in the pic i showed i got pretty far yet there is no mastery or spec system for me. No new maps for PvP and WvW got the BL no one is playing which is why these changes are coming. There are literal videos of people running around in WvW and they dont see anyone for hours. Anet made that change.
4) Your suggestion doesnt sound like fun. You said tag as many enemies as possible. This is a terrible system if thats how it works because thats not what i do. If im gonna play a pve event im gonna play it threw. Not run in tag some people and run to another event to get credit for that. What happened to playing the actual game? Listening to the Npc and hearing the conversations between the events?
5) you kind of ignored my points and said they will fix it later. You do realize people paid money for this and the only people getting what they want are the PvE players. You said Old tyria for gliding which i agree with but seriously not in WvW? We paid money for this and people in PvP are frustrated with a number of things such as leaderboard, new maps and it took them a ESL tournament of team running the exact same comps to change bunker mesmer. A team literally quit a match because of a bad start and the opposing team capped there home and they knew there wasnt anything they could do.
There is 3 groups in this game and 2 of them have been getting shafted hard and ive thrown out the real question, how many will wait for Anet to fix this? You called me whiny which you can but i can show you the things im frustrated with and i can prove im not just blowing smoke with the fact i perform really well in these 2 aspects of the game. I can also show anet has shown love to the people who play these parts of the game by making them play PvE to do any of there new content.

This is wrong. They are not catering to no one, because probably about half the population of the game is enjoying the expansion. They’ve certainly catered to me, at any rate.
I’m an open world player and I love what they’ve done in the jungle. They’ve catered to people who want raids. The raid community seems like like the raid. They have NOT catered to WvW players that’s true, but then they said the changes they want to make are taking longer than expected.
Not sure how many people like the new PvP type but there are new PvP reward tracks.

Also ive always done a little of everything (65% pvp, 20% wvw and 15% pve if i had to give them a percentage) but i was always able do something from each area. The PvP players were actually happy when they merged PvP gear and PvE gear because now PvP players could go into WvW and PvE with ease. We kind of just merged into one another.
Now its nothing like that, i have done mostly PvP but simple fact that i cant play a new spec when i have played many many games with them already in PvP is furstrating. Not being able to do the story is frustrating. I have been to the PvE areas and got 100% completion on verdint brink but i am not going to replay the PvE missions over and over and over. Wait 2 hrs for a meta event when i already spend 8+ minutes queing for a match in PvP.
Like i said they catered to a certain group and you kind of hit which one. Maybe you dont care for the WvW group and maybe you dont care about the PvP group. Maybe this game can survive on the PvE crowd alone and with the way things are going they might have too.

2) Rewards in WvW were the same before HoT was released. It’s still something that should be addressed but really had no bearing on the expansion.
3) Anet is doing some changes in WvW early next year with a major update coming out sometime later that year.

They did some things that were really bad imo. They turned liquid XP the former daily rewards into boosters, they came out with a expansion- a new spec we had to grind to get which is fine in a sense but we also couldnt use the new mastery systems in WvW.
So many of the people in my guild didnt like the new map and paid money for a expansion and couldnt use any of the new items. They were leveling in WvW and just quit because they couldnt glide any where and couldnt use the new daredevil or glint spec.
WvW feels like its been greatly ignored and for people who play the game mostly for WvW have quit logging in from my guild. The new WvW upgrades from the guild hall need scribing and we are all like why is this necessary? We had all these upgrades and we paid for a expansion to unlock things we use to have?
Saying the new rewards had no baring on the expansion its not true at all.

A few things have been bothering me and ive kind of wondered away from the game except for dailies.
1) Keeping people playing
Anet has prided themselves saying they are great at bringing people into the game but im wondering how getting people to buy the game is great if they just end up leaving soon after. I got to diamond solo-trio queing and i have to say i dont plan to do that again in the next seasons. I expect many of the elite players to get the legendary back piece this season (if possible) so whats gonna bring them back? I mean a league system is great and fun and for the most part this was definitely interesting to rank up. The rewards and other things though are not why i did it but to see where i could get too. The rewards are pretty bad to add to that. So why would i do this again next season?
2) The fun is missing from a Expansion
Im sorry but not having any new maps, the grind of a Guild Hall and nothing being tied together from WvW/PvP – PvE. What are we suppose to do? I have over 6k matches in PvP and near 700 rank in WvW and i spent more time playing WvW before the rank points. You added a new BL which i did not enjoy and new specs i can only use in PvP and nothing i do in here brings me PvE rewards. I cant even do the PvE story line. I can get the 200 wins with rev, get to diamond rank and still not be able to use glint in PvE or do the story line. Seriously why is this?
3) Everyone feels ignored
PvE players are talking about the things they dont like left and right and they make sense. The WvW community created there own forum and in interview from reyana with mike o’brian and colin made the WvW community say Anet really doesnt care about the WvW players.
IMO the PvP league system wasnt that bad but it had some major flaws. The meta is a bit icky especially for the average player. Ive been playing some really good players and there ability to burst down a target even when they are solo que is so much better then people even in the ruby rank. The skill difference is so high and new players coming in simply cant kill the better players.
Im seriously curious of what the plan is from a total game perspective is. When i got tired of PvP i went to WvW, when i didnt want to WvW i PvE. The PvE maps seems empty at big events and WvW is dead besides Eb. PvP is getting a bit hard with my que times around 8+ minutes and im simply just trying to play 3 and get my daily reward wins.
I dont know what the plan for the next patch updates are but hopefully they are good because this HOT Expansion has driven off many of my guild members and im drowning in the ability to play the game.

Why does The Guild Hall WvW upgrades need scribing?
Why does nothing but PvE give points to the new specs to be used in PvE? Shoot we made it easy for PvE players to come into PvP, why not let the people who play all of the game get some mastery/spec points from doing PvP/ WvW?

I think whats going on atm is a combination of MMR and ranking. So your gonna face people of your ranking and MMR.
With that your gonna get people who dont belong for better/worse for these match ups. For instance a diamond/legendary player who doesnt want to grind and is still amber/emerald/sapphire and can literally carry a whole match.
The opposite is if your a higher ranked player and you had a average player simply just playing games and got lucky to get into ruby/diamond and they dont really belong there and they got there by playing alot more games with a low MMR and being slightly better then the people of his MMR and his now playing people way above his ability because of his new rank.
Its why people are raging so much on this forum. You will see a duo/trio and up with some really great players and then 1 amber/emerald/sapphire and that guy really shouldnt be that rank but simply he hasnt played enough games or the conspiracy theory of alternative account.
Ive seen it both ways, a guy who doesnt belong in the match but has the same rank as everyone else. (diamond and up) The there is the amber/emerald player beating legendary people in 1 vs 1.
Warrior is too OP
I was on my thief and 2 players demanded i switched and i refused so the 2 of them quit before the match started. The rev and necro said we know how to fix this and switched to there unkillable warriors. 1 went mid and 1 went far and they were able to cap and hold these points alone. I must of been downed a million times and somehow they would super saiyan to where i was at rez me and get back to the point before it was even decapped.
At one point at mid he 1 of the warriors screamed out " i am a god and gods do not bleed" and boom he killed all 4 of the enemies he was facing and i barely got out of there from basic fear.
The warrior at far i was gonna rotate to him and he simply said “no need to worry my friend for i am like water and you can not beat water” moving in and out untouched by all 5 enemies. I was simply at ahhhh and wished i had a warrior.
We won 500-125 and i made the mistake of never decapping or capping home so i had 0 points which made me feel even worse.
engy to me as been always that all around class with the different weapon kits and now the tool kit.
Ive played a tiny bit of it and idk i just dont really care for it. The rev for me as well is a not really care for it either. With the HOT expansion alot of these classes are really just starting to feel the same. Stunned switch to different champ, hit F5,blinkaway, etc etc and then heals are getting pretty crazy too. Especially in team fights when everyone kind of runs these soilders/cele/cleric builds. Stand in wells/traps/aura shares, everything is really starting to feel the same.
TBH i dont even look for skills anymore. Im kind of like 1,2,3,4,kitten shout/glyph/trap/ etc 1,2,3,4,5 again since if they are running a similar build we will all get heals and condi cleanses.
Everyones getting mad over the littlest things. Ohh i had to face a premade blah blah blah.
I truly dont care since its suppose to be for fun and measure yourself against the best players. I truly would just like to know where i stand.
I ran threw sapphire and ruby with huge winning streaks and since ive been in diamond. Im right around 50% again facing rubys/diamond/legendary players and to be honest i think ive hit my cap.
I dont know how LOL or DOTA reward there players but i simply would just like to be rewarded for this. Im not gonna grind to legendary being i got to t2 and have gone all the way back to 1 PIP. This is probably where im suppose to be and i would just like a league system that would reward me for trying my best without grinding 6+ games a day to do it.
Sidenote, i have some friends who use to PvP alot and there in emerald and sapphire still and probably wont get much higher with the holidays and new business season coming in January but i have to say its not fun beating up on lower level people. Im sitting here winning 50/50 of my 1 vs 1 in diamond but when we que together we are winning 1 vs 2 and 2 vs 3 at far. They simply start feeding us and it cant be fun for thosw guys in sapphire and low level ruby players we are beating.

but when you start facing higher level players even in 1 vs 1 warrior isnt really that close. Scrappers got more healing and mini form on a trait so even if you get them to a death hit they go mini form and go heal.
Revs are the better version of warrior with the glint which is the signet and the stance heal (though its even better then the stance heal) and then theres 2 other champions people can use which bring ups even more frustration since they get 2 heal skills 6 utility skills and 2 elites to play with.
Thieves have always had the counter to warrior because of shadow step and blinds.
the new necro has more life and has the ability to easily stack might now as well a new dps condi skill in chill. When a warrior sees a necro get into fighting distance you immediately have to use the beserker condi stance and hope you do enough dmg you can make it a fight before running.
I wont do the rest. I made a thread thanking anet for a quick change to warrior because they did make it a better spec then it was originally on HOT release. I wish i could take that thread back because it truly feels like your wasting your time and your teams time by playing this class atm.
I really hope you developers are reading these post and seeing how badly balance your game is right about now. I just have one question though; Does Toughness mean anything in this game any more? Because I have 3000 or so armor 1600 toughness and I am still getting hit 7000-8,900 damage from Revenant Coalescence of Ruin skill. I understand they have
Roiling mist and basically 25 stacks of might on their own.. but are you seriously telling me there is basically NO counter play to that? No matter how much health or toughness I have it seems their damage keeps scaling and if i go full bunker then i won’t even be able to deal enough damage to fight back. You need to listen to the players and make a serious change.

SH/DS/Traps dont bother me since there are counters for this. Mesmers/engys/revs have some skills that really stink to me since they are passive cooldowns wtih no counters but thats another story.
I was running a Druid with soilders ammy and rune of the undead and i had over 3.3k armor yet thieves/dps mesmers/ revanents still took me out incredibly easy. Im sitting here with over 25k health cele form and my toughness couldnt be much higher. Like toughness is almost capped yet it truly feels like a empty stat.
I agree 100% about them re-looking at there stats since some of them make no sense.
Your first mistake was logging onto your warrior.
Not gonna lie its my pride and joy.
It the character i did all the dungeons with, the first character i got 100% map completion with (though theres only 2), first character i got all ascended stuff for first, and by far the most games i have play with has been warrior.
I truly have given up though. With all the classes besides mesmer ( i dont care for mesmer) ive came up with a build i can use for my style of play and win sometimes. I really felt like some mad scientist about to break the code and cure all of cancer when i came up with a warrior build that could be used.
Sadly i failed and you are correct. Its a mistake trying to use him right now and what made it hurt worse was im in diamond and im playing all the usual people i normally play in ruby/diamond/legendary rank and i realized how bad it was and how unfair it was for my team. Today i went like 2-7 on my warrior before i made this thread. Today i literally did everything right vs this rifle engy. I used my shield block when she was firing it. I was strafing out of the way and dodging out of the way from nades. I use rampage when i had 10 stacks of might. Still the fight is close and i have a full adrenaline and she has used all the utility skills. I caught her with a shield bash then bam skull crack. I go into hundred blades and right when shes about to die she goes mini. From outside mini she pops the her heal with turret and im like ok. She pops a invisibility from her tool kit and i was like ok its over.

everyone in my guild has quit wvw except 1 who does his dailies there. We dont even do the WvW guild missions anymore.
2 things about that
1- we dont want to escort dolyaks since its a lame MISSION.
2- We basically said we were done with WvW all together since we got this escort dolyak missions twice. 1st mission escort 3 dolyaks, 2nd WvW mission escort 5 dolyaks………………………….
We thought about changing our guild name to Shepard of the Dolyaks since WvW has become about making sure cows move from 1 camp to a tower on maps where there is no one to be found. Naw we are done and we have lost some guild members since the HOT WvW. They dont even log in anymore.
2 players came in as thieves, 1 switched and the other stayed and the other 4 starting yelling at each other was a bit hard to see 2 pips go though. A game likes this is when you take a break.

Hate to say it, yes. Ruby is very frustrating and difficult to get out of if you soloQ or DuoQ, especially when the odds are against you.
I have to say after the gauntlet that was emerald for me i flew threw sapphire and ruby going 13-2 on necro, 15-1 on ranger and something like 9-2 on ele. Ive gotten to diamond and ive kind of starting hunting for AP points on other classes im not very good with.
I personally dont want the lose the division thing especially with the way leagues are currently constructed. I can see how you are getting frustrated aswell so im sorry for that.

2 people from mid ran home because 1 person ran there and im coming of respawn. This is a terrible play by the 2 since only 1 head is at home. We kill the person and they continue onto beast. We lose mid and from that point lost the match.
Pushing far is a good theme to debate on, it depends situations, but generally in solo queue it’s not such a good idea, since it revolves only on the opponent not being smart, plus on your team being able to deal with a 4v3 or 3v3 on mid.
I’ve played countless of solo games, on average this works better than expected, especially on a thief since you will generally have 2 players chasing you, but this isn’t a tactic to rely on, especially in the actual meta, where i have seen several times one DH guardian winning a 1v3, or similar situations. I can deal with meta builds, but i don’t know if my teammates can too
I feel sometimes the same as the OP, same jokes happening quite often, especially on foefire lord, or on khylo with the treb
If a Dh is winning fights 1 vs almost anything people are doing something wrong.
Also what is your build good at, on my necro i always run far to start a match since its a 1 vs 1 – 2 vs 2 build. If im on ranger i try to engage in team fights and support.
Also 30% of conquest is good rotations, another 30% is builds (what counters what), 40% of it is winning fights.
Obviously i made these numbers up but if i go far and no one goes to our home, mid should be 4 vs 4 in about 10 sec which is a even fight. People have to count heads and have to rotate.

Now these are people in ruby/diamond/legendary divisions. Even if you are solo queing you should be counting heads and decide whether or not you should be in this fight. You also need to be aware of when your teammates die and where.
Lastly just try to realize what your build is good at. For instance your running rev so i would suggest trying to stay in 2 vs 2 and 1 vs 1 fights if your good at them but like i said idk your images dont show your build. Good luck though

i know 2 of the ruby players and they are not very good in conquest.
Also i would let you know that stronghold is a broken map. I know a few people who couldnt get out of sapphire ( i wont say who in the pic) so they premade stronghold with dps builds to win quick matches.

Does he deserve hour long queue? No.
Is he a cheater? No.
Was coincidence his friend is amber? Maybe.
Was his friend using a secondary account? Maybe.
Could he queued with a someone with higher division? Yes.
Is it considered manipulating the awful system implemeneted by anet? Yes.
I am a bit salty so the term would go about this.
This is a PiP system and to get rewards/higher/rank/ better rewards you need to win the matches. If your waiting 10+ min and you have to fight a team which your asked to carry it become very frustrating.
Is it the players fault they have found a better way to PLAY the game? Anet can post a crap thing abut how leagues should be played but its on them to make the fairest system possible.
I truly find it unfair that people who are diamond/legendary are assumed cheaters when even I in emerald and sapphire felt like i was carrying dead weight to the next tier or division.
So I was nearing the end of the ruby division 2 days ago, but since then I seem to have been constantly teamed up with players who die within 2 seconds of a fight and now I’m back to tier 2. I don’t think I’m going to set foot in soloq again any time soon…

I run 70% solo que and 30% duo/trio que and i was able to make it to diamond without grinding a ton of games.
Actually i played this league system the most the first 2 weeks and and slowed down alot mostly doing 3-4 matches since because like many of the people here i was getting frustrated.
I simply cared less about the divisions and slowly but surely i got to diamond. You got a whole month still left and i suggest not grinding daily matches trying to do it in 1-3 days. Take your time and try to have fun.

The system isnt broken. Clearly it is optimally functional to some degree but, it simply doesnt work with all these pve heroes and braindead pvpers that dont know how to conquest. That are only in PvP cause of some item labeled LEGENDARY BACK PIECE. I had to fight hard for majority of my solo q matches to the point I had to carry the game cause, of these types of idiots. The ones where I didn’t have to play seriously, I could clearly see how lame my pve hero opponents and braindead pvp opponents were. Doing terrible rotations like some of my allies during my matches.
The saddest part about all this is the bad players I carried. I wish those matches I could throw on purpose cause, they don’t deserve to climb being complete garbage like that. This system needs a matchmaking that can tell the difference between skilled players and these deadweights. To set up matches that allows skilled players to clash with other skilled players and make it so, that these less skilled players are only against opponents of their own tier. That way these bad players are not getting carried by matches that are clearly out of their skill range. That they could not possibly reach as an individual player without learning how to conquest. Of course though a system like that would take a miracle if anet can do miracles.
The hardest part is separating the bad-average-good-great players from one another.
I have had alot of players tell me what to do before the start of the match, i ignored what they said and did what i do best with the build im trying to use. They flame at me even if we win and i am grateful because anet will let me fight them the next match.
I truly know people equal/better then me who dont want to grind matches anymore and want a legit league system and reward us based on that. They are sitting in emerald and im in diamond.
So the question becomes how does anet want to do this. The toughest division for me to get out of was emerald and im sitting here wondering whats the best way to do a league system with this game.
Also there is truly nothing for frustrating then our current leader boards.

Premades often doesn’t win because they are better skill wise, but because often they have:
a) better team composition (moar meta)
b) experience of playing together
c) voice communcation
…those things doesn’t make premades better skill wise, yet they let them win more than they deserve.say what you want but this game does have a skill level and there is a understanding of which you need to have to be successful. Also if i say grab the best players you know and you and ask you can you beat the 8 esl teams from your server? If you can say yeah we can ill say your right sir this game takes no skill. If you say you cant then this game takes skill.
You can say this game takes less skill then it did before HOT, you can say it takes less skill and compare it to something else but saying it doesnt take skill/understanding/ the things you suggest since they are excuses some times and legitimate reasons the other to play the game is asinine.
Not to be an kitten but in higher tier MMR you’ll be facing much more competent players and warriors are non-existent simply because they lack the utilities to exist in high tier sPvP. For example: when I was Qing with my team in ranked we faced former ESL team Radioactive back to back and they swapped their warrior out (who is probably one of the best in NA even before HoT). High tier sPvP is simply bout maintaining two points or to just completely out-rotate your opponents, mechanical skill is pretty much non-existent due to the amount of bunker there and low skill cap these meta builds have.

If they are going 1 vs 1 and dying to what 1-2 people back there it means you should of been able to hold 1 cap point still.
Also why didnt you help at 300+ to kill lord? He is so squishy and so easy to kill, you can the group could literally back cap to far and hold it for what 10 sec for the win after killing him.

Having seen caed crush every class 1 vs 1 on thief would say ohhh if he went far and won it we should have a 3 cap.
Your point of being a roamer means your asking your team to carry you. Dont tell people how to play when your the one who needs carrying. Your portal can be of great use but if you cant help win EVEN NUMBER FIGHTS you are hurting the team.

They blame me for any misstep. Then the very next match the guy crying and complaining on my team is now on the enemy team and they know im coming. I run to far win the fight and i simple say " must team the teams fault you lost" because if your not winning the 1 vs 1. 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 of course its somebodys else fault.
Allow me to insert a League of Legends argument here.
If your team is losing 2 v 2, and you’re the gank.
It’s part of your job to gank and help them win that 2 v 2, by making it a 3 v 2 and laying down your CC on one of the targets, quickly turning it into a 3 v 1.Now, I agree that simply going far doesn’t mean you’re ruining it for your team.
But over committing to far, and then blaming the team for losing 3 v 3 mid when you could have +1’d, is kind of your fault.
But only kind of.
And I say that because there’s a lot of context that is potentially missing there, that could change my opinion quite easily, depending on how things progressed.
Im sorry but the basis for my comment was the start of a match. My previous comments also talk about stalemating a neutral cap point. I typically run a 1 vs 1 build when i run to far which is why i tend to win this match up vs any who decides to try can cap it alone. Also anyone who runs swiftness from the start should be able to get to far before they cap at the start of the match.
Also asking for the +1 in any fight is never a good thing. So if your telling me you have a 3 vs 3 at mid and you lose and we decide to run back again and try and make it a 4 vs 3, the other team wont have someone rotate to mid or have both of them take the other cap point which would only have 1 person there?
Obviously knowing who needs to be where and what is a big issue. In SOLO que you,me and anyone else saying you cant go far is ridiculous. IMO anytime you only play 2 points you are giving free points to the other team.

1 home 4 mid. Don’t go far. Pretty simple but most ppl don’t get it.

Why is not going far a good thing?
Seriously is the dumbest thing that gets repeated over and over again in this game. If a team does a 1-3-1 split and you go 1-4. That means you have a contested home, they capped far and you literally would have to kill somebody in 10 sec at mid in a 4 vs 3 to win that point.
Best yet, the person at home loses to the person running a 1 vs 1 build. The other team sent 2 bunkers to mid who support one another so you didnt get the kill there and now your triple capped.
Just like anything else in this game its about winning even number fights and taking advantage of odd number fights. Simply put if you couldnt win 3 vs 3 at mid its your fault not the person who went far. Home got decapped and person lost the far fight. The question becomes how come no one at mid was counting heads and saw you were fighting 4 vs 3/2/1 if you were getting the kills and capped it?
Im seeing so many people in the ruby/diamond rank who have no clue what they are talking about and that needs to stop.
