Sure people will still do a bit what they want. But it is quite a bit easier than having every commander having the same color.

Many forget the initial question from OP. To answer it: yes the drop rate is terribly low. It’s nearly impossible to farm it the way you used to farm stuff in other games. I have magic find 200+ and get about one armored scale for killing 20-30 sharks in Southsun Cove. It is one of the big fails in this game: just run dungeons or flip the TP to earn gold and buy it off of the TP (with buy orders ofc).

Really? I kill them almost on a daily basis because I want to max the underwater weapon kills. After 30 sharks I always have at least 2 scales. And it’s not like it takes a huge amount of time to kill 30 sharks in that area.

This pick is a good example why gem items should NOT create trade able resources. It disrupts a player based market. It make the game look and behave like pay-to-win. It makes people feeling forced to spend money in order to “keep up”, thus gem purchases get associated with the feeling of annoyance. Its unique in the amount of hate the item got on the forum.

So next time Anet think it might be a good idea to have a gem item produce trade able resources, hopes goes that someone says No.

But it also shows how little “might” we have. That thread has been around for a while but A.Net doesn’t care because enough players ingame just buy the kitten ed thing. We can rant about it all day long but A.Net will just ignore it and there is nothing we can do about it. Because there is always a bigger group of people who happily buy those items.

Well to speed it up you have to make lots of money in a short period of time. Your options are farming, a daily rotation of dungeons/fractals, trading or relying on luck.

now i know that time and time again u have said that it is SUPPOSED to be very very hard, but is it? certainly very few people succeed at it, but is that because its hard? or because its exclusive?

as it stands now you either have a 100% chance to succeed if you get onto THE MAP or a 0% chance to succeed if you dont, why? because basically only 1 guild organizes it, and this guild forces all its members into one map, any1 who wants to get in that map has to join their teamspeak server or has no chance to get in

this is not fair not fun and not challenging, its also potentially dangerous. imagine the future if we are forced by private guilds to open 3rd party content to participate in the game, they might send us to their websites and steal our information, im not saying this one guild does do this….but consider it a possible future.

Do you want to keep the first item? If no, you can salvage it. The most expensive kit from the merchant gives you an 80% chance to recover the rune. With the black lion salvage kit you get a 100% chance.
This won’t work with armor you bought with karma or wvw badges or with the armor from your order (order of whispers, durmand priory, vigil).

The hell? You just buy items without thinking because you trust a company?!

I would personally always focus on power. The more damage you deal the less damage the enemy can deal Vitality or Toughness will never able to compensate the damageloss in PvE. It might be difficult at first but you will get used to it and it will make you a better player in the long run because you focus more on dodging attacks and especially dodging the right attacks.

But what about the new players

Well all of that stuff is from the chinese client so it was fine, because the game released there with those new features, so it kinda makes sense.
The only thing i,s it doesn’t make sense for the eu/na client, sure it’s a nice addition but we crave for content aimed at level 80 characters. And by the looks of it we won’t get it with this feature sync patch

Balancing the present skill/traitset should always have priority over introducing something new, which has a high probability of adding more balancing problems.

Balance is an iterative process and shouldn’t be thought of as something you can ‘finish.’ Add new skills and keep iterating.

But that’s what they are trying to do that’s why we have such a stale “meta”. They try to find the perfect balance, imbalance is a good thing, it shakes things up. That’s why GW1 was so fun to play, the balance team always went from one extrem to another and therefor the meta always changed.

I stopped running around and doing Events in cursed shore when one time I tried to do an event with some people, apparently that event was supposed to fail. So after some waves, the zerg came and the commander told everyone to just scale the event up. They did that, we died and they just stood there and watched. After the event failed, they left like nothing happened. This was not only sad but also terrifying. Seeing a whole zerg of people just watching you die, I know it’s just a game but still.. geez.

Like it was already said nerfing that event is just a bandaid solution, they’ll find another event and exploit the fail state and they will continue to do that until someone gives them a slap and tells them to stop.

Hey, is there any way you could make the radiant armor pieces (except the head) work with a light female class?

Getting T6 mats is pretty simple.

Do some dungeons —> use that gold to buy T6 mats
Grab some t5 mats and convert them to T6 mats (not sure if this is “effective” though)
Do dailies and convert laurels into T6 mats

Wrong, rare nodes like orichalcum/ancient wood or rich nodes respawn with the daily reset. Regular nodes respawn, I think, every 30 minutes.

What kind of WvW? Solo roaming, zerging, small group play?

Maybe you haven’t noticed but this feature patch is basically a syncing up between the 2 client version. Every new feature china got with the release will be released with the feature patch for our version.

Guardian seems to be the perfect choice for you. What you need to work on are you active defense skills, in this case blindness.

There is a nice trait combo for the guardian which effectively allows you to spam aoe blindness as long as you kill enemies
