Here is the thing, I really don’t care about the gemstore stuff but if you look at her linkedin profile you see that she is also (partially) responsible for the reward system in this game. And you can argue as much as you want, the reward system has NOTHING to do with being rewarded.

Just as an example of what I do after 2 complete silverwastes run.
1. go to lions arch
2. throw away all the emp. shards(or was it dragonite?) I got from the chests
3. open all exotic bags that I got from the chests
4. salvage all green items (which are 99% of the items you get out of it)
5. store everything I got so far in my bank
6. click through 2 stacks of sand
7. open gear bags until inventory is full
8. salvage all items
9. repeat step 7 and 8 until all bags are opened
10. throw away bloodstone dust (I do have mawdrey but even she refuses to eat these absurd amounts of bloodstone dust)
10. now I have the option to click through 100s of essences of luck or put everything into the bank and turn them into exotic essences with my other character

That’s just a part of it, I didn’t even mention how I have to vendor tons of completely useless green sigils/runes or how I use the loot from the sand to buy even more bags that contain greens that need to be salvaged (zephyrite lockpicks and bandit crests).

Armorsmith/Cook is a decent combo though. Armorsmith/Jewelcrafting or Weaponsmith will cause too much overlapping in terms of what materials you need.
And don’t worry about the food, there is no need to save them up. Food gives you a good amount of stats and bonus exp.

Guardians can deal a decent amount of damage so this is not a problem at all.

I leveled my second ranger from 1 to 80 with a condition build and continue to play him this way. It is actually pretty good in the silverwastes (or oPvE in general) UNTIL you reach the breach/vinewrath, suddenly you are completely useless so what do I have to do? Change to zerker gear and equip different weapons. Would I be fine with that? Yeah sure IF we get an option to quickly switch between builds/gear. If we never get individual condition stacks the condition problem will never be solved.

Another suggestion that might(!) help, is to go into msconfig through the “run” interface and disable all non-system processes/applications on start-up, so you’ll boot your computer with only the much-needed processes running, which can save you a lot of CPU.

Not sure if it is of much help to GW2, but I always do this on default when heavily gaming, to minimize the strain on my computer from processes I’m not using.

This may help but I doubt that it’s the reason he has these really low fps. With his specs he should easily get 60fps.

Your monitor has nothing to do with it.

Have you build the pc on your own? If yes try what Beldin wrote.

Have you installed EVERY driver? (chipsetdriver, etc?) Are they up to date or did you install them from a cd?

Are you hearing your fans speed up when you run the game? Are the temps okay? (check with programs like speccy or speedfan)

Do you have the same problem with other games?

Does it have to be open world pve though? I’d recommend to look into storymode dungeons.

I personally wouldn’t recommend people to join 50%+ maps, if everyone would do it there would be noone pushing 0% maps to 50%
You get a lot of materials from doing those events, aswell so it’s always worth doing as many events as possible.

Also:

see we get 4/4 forts owned but we never get past 2 or 3/4 “first level defenses activated”.

That happens when you either keep losing a fort (and reclaim it) or when you have no players escorting dolyaks that carry supplies for the ugprades.

If you group up with other players from the same levelrange, these dungeons tends to be quiet challenging. If you really want to do them at your current level I’d recommend you to buy the best gear available for your level.

But you can also wait until you are level 80 and do these dungeons.

Well what exactly do you want to play in WvW? Roaming with small group or running around with a big group of people? If you want to be part of a big group, conditions aren’t really effective in general, there are a few exceptions, like blind or fear. If you want to roam with a smaller group I’d suggest necromancer. From what I’ve heard about mesmers is that they can only apply conditions if the enemy is forced to fight in a smaller area which is rarely the case in WvW.

If light armor isn’t a must you should also check out engineers.

I am pretty sure the pale tree did nothing when the world leaders were attacked, it was all me and the world leaders themselves that fought back the enemies, the dragon at the end? Yeah I defeated him.

We had nice mechanics in other release, the stealth part with caithe or the glints lair section.

The bossfight was likely the best one we have seen lately.

It was literally do thing x to to force boss into state a, do thing y to make boss attackable, attack boss until 50% repeat thing x with 1 small additional “mechanic” (2 waves falling stones) to force him into state a again and after that you do y again with a small additional mechanic you can attack him and then you are done.

Totally disagree with you on that. I was actually really excited to hear his voice again. Don’t have to mention how disappointed I was when they just used mad kings voice.

I kick them from dungeon groups, but before we enter the dungeon so noone gets actually hurt. I love this kind of roleplay

First I thought it was weird why so many inexperienced players join ranked PvP, the logical thing, if you are new to the game or the profession would be to start with hotjoin or unranked right? Nope.
I wanted to try out guardian, having never played guardian before in sPvP I decided to learn it by playing some unranked games. First map Courtyard we won with like 500 to 35 spawncamping their team, second map Skyhammer. After that I think I got a decent map but still.. you have these god awful maps where you basically learn next to nothing.

The pact won’t stay with us any longer while we are taking care of the egg they are advancing into the maguuma jungle ( you can already see the abandoned camp in the trailer). With the next story release, I think we will finally reuinte with the pact.

Well I was under the impression Anet’s view was a ‘turn the other cheek’ on this, especially with how much clickable crap is in this game. I’ll admit right now I use a macro to open ToT bags for the mini, though now I guess I will go back to manually clicking. I just don’t understand.. I have opened 108,000 bags for this mini and still not gotten it. I am supposed to manually click that many times and the RNG is still that bad? And how about all the luck that comes from them? I know you can upgrade them but that is still a HUGE amount from those bags. To give you an idea, I started at somewhere around 120% and I am now 260%.
