Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
When you are in the instance you will see it at the top-left corner.
If you are in Lion’s Arch you can walk to the portal and you will see your level (if you are alone in the party, otherwise you will see the level for the one with lowest progress)
So, because you were disappointed you should get better items than those of us that actually did the event?
Something does not feel right there.
Average of 15-30g?
The items I got had a total sell value of about 4g.
Most likely people will get the accessory and the box. Those are the only two things that are actually easy enough to implement (unless they somehow manage to simulate the chest as a bag-item and mail them that).
Don’t assume you will get loads of items.

I find that quite clearly as a “No it won’t happen” and I also see it as a response.
I’d have some money?
Indeed, but everything would be MUCH more expensive, so you would still not be able to buy all those things you can’t buy now.
What economy? The price of everything has gone through the roof!
It’s nice of the devs to make it feel like “real life” with a MMO recession.
The only rich people are the 1s that milked the chest in the bad event, and those that bought gold from “Far Ming Ho”.
And guess what will happen with the prices if they remove gold sinks?
I don’t care what any of you say, I would like the waypoint fee gone as well.. There is enough gold sinks in this game to make up for it.
There are currently two semi-mandatory gold sinks in this game.
Waypoints and repairs.
Removing one of them would mean there would be only one semi-mandatory (which can be completely avoided by either not dying or using the repair kit from the gem-store.
It would hurt the economy quite badly.
I believe you missed the point of my post Primal.
I simply commented on LordByrons posts about how he had “statistical evidences” about how most people are unhappy.
Statistically speaking most people are not unhappy, based on the information we have. (Silence usually equals consent)
They have stated several times that race changes are not planned.
I should have been clearer.
The closest waypoint is free if you have no money.
1. Closest uncontested WP free, so not a problem.
2. And you gain more than enough coins to survive that.
3. You get scaled awards which means you get more or less the same amount of coins as you would in Orr.
4. Events still give a good amount of coins, and drops scale up so you can sell them for a bit as well.
The “statistical evidences” you have can be statistically debunked by simply looking at the amount of accounts vs the amount of accounts complaining about Ascended gear.
Not even 1% of those accounts are complaining about it.
25%
All bonuses in a rune-set add to each other.
And yet there are over 2 million accounts in this game, how many of those that are active we don’t know. What we do know however is that those 300 members is not even 1 % of the game population.
I can use anecdotal evidence as well:
When I talked with people in Lion’s Arch and WvW about it not a single person complained about it.
See?
That means just as much people as your guild (if not more) that don’t have a problem with it.
It is not about having to move around in TERA it is about the inability to do so while you use your skills/attack.
Unless they have changed it (haven’t played since release) you are locked in position while using your skills. That is not especially actiony in my eyes.
I am sure that would be very popular with those that have spent loads of materials and time to get those Ascended items aye?
There are four level 80 Dungeons. With all the paths included there are over 10 different dungeons.
As for featuring the “main villain” more I suggest you actually pay attention to the story-line, the dungeons and the dynamic events. The Dragons are quite involved in most of these things.
You can join a Explorable mode dungeon if someone else in the team as unlocked it as far as I know.
Most likely.
Highly doubtful that they would add them if they did not have a plan for them.
Getting the same reward two times (some which are actually quite good, especially consumables) is rather bad.
True most might have gotten to the merchant (some didn’t however, keep in mind that there are very few good back-items, one of them are rewarded by doing personal story) but that would mean you got those few extra silvers for selling the rewards.
Not counting the xp and silver gained from completing the actual quests (xp means more SPs which could be “turned” into money and such).
i have never disputed the difficulty in making this happen. as far as the storyline goes. if people want the race change, then they accept that the storyline will be reset. if this means levelling an 80 toon through the story (first 50 levels etc) and getting nothing of value in the way of drops and rewards, then so be it, its a choice that players make.
But seeing as ArenaNet would need to remove all rewards gotten from the first time it would take way too much time and resources to be effective. Unless of course the change would be 3000+ gems. But I suppose people would not buy it in that case.
Yes i did make the right choice at the time, however, things change.
Also i think you should read through this thread first before making any comments regarding storylines. We are suggesting that Storylines can be reset.
So make a new character.
Which would make the first 50-something levels of it completely trivial seeing as you are level 80 and have better gear.
Another problem with that is also the rewards you got from the Personal Story.
How can they track this?
Sure if you have the items just like it was it is easy. But some items are consumables and give Influence to a guild.
Some are keys for chests, and some might have been transmuted.
Simply resetting the Personal story is most likely much harder than you think.
And yet you did not think about making the right race from the start.
The race choice does effect quite a bit of the personal story. And as far as we know it might also effect the coming chapters of the personal story.
Changing race in the middle of that might not really work.
There are already open-world dungeons.
There are stories outside of the Personal Story quests.
There are at least one meta event in each area. All these have stories around them.
Each dungeon have several stories (one for each path, including Story Mode)
There are loads of lore out in the world, with statues, places, people talking and so on. You don’t need personal story in order to get information about lore.
GW2 have MUCH more Lore in-game than GW1 has as of now (and that is with 3 campaigns, 1 expansion and 3 mini-expansions)
Yes, I would.
I would also recommend that they stayed away from these forums.
What makes you think that we have completed the story?
I find it quite clear after the last mission that this is not the end, simply a part of the story. We will most likely get continuation of the Personal Story before we face the next Dragon and so on.
But if you actually look at the game you SEE that Zhaitan is the biggest threat at the moment.
There are huge amount of Risen around in the world, especially the coastal areas such as Lion’s Arch, The Grove, Rata Sum.
The fact that it is a MMO means that they NEED to focus on a specific story goal for everyone, otherwise it would not make any sense.
Had it been a single player RPG it would have been no problem, but now it is a MMORGP, which means that all players are involved with that is happening.
But that is the thing:
The other Dragons are not that much of a threat AT THE MOMENT.
This is made quite clear in the game. The reason we go for Zhaitan first is because it is the one that is doing the most harm to the races of Tyria. The whole point of the game is that everyone is fighting together.
If people suddenly starts fighting different dragons it would not make sense whatsoever in the story.
The main problem with this however is that we have a good reason to go for Zhaitan first. Zhaitan is currently the biggest threat to Tyria.
Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that we NEED everyone to attack the Dragons since they are too strong to face alone. Splitting up would most likely lessen our chances to win.
Changing a storyline after loads of people have already done it is a rather bad thing to do as well.
The biggest problem with this is that it would be impossible to EVER do Arah if your server did not have enough people interested in doing the pre-events. Then the dungeon would be closed forever and it would be just as bad as it is now.
It is quite possible that it is a tester-only item that somehow managed to get into the live code.
It does feel quite logical for them to have these kind of tools when testing balance and such.
lordkrall,
it is also possible that they will add mini-housing also,
mini-wvw and mini-pvp, perhaps even mini-dungeons…GW has polymock and surprisingly does not include it’s years and years worth of minis,
try and give new players facts not fiction.
They did however talk before release about having mini-pets actually being able to do stuff other than just walking around. Which could include Polymock and such.
GW added Polymock AFTER several of those minis where added and therefore it might be hard to change them and such.
I never said it was fact, I said it was POSSIBLE that it MIGHT happen. Chill.
The problem however is that if they focus too much money on story the rest of the game will get less money. Which is exactly what happened to SWTOR. They spent loads of money on story and yet the rest of the game was lacking and therefore more or less failed.
A nice balance needs to be reached and I think ArenaNet have found that balance quite good.
For now.
It is possible that they will add mini-pet arenas (Polymock?) later on that uses the mini-pets.
For now they are just following you around though.
The main problem with this is the fact that all lines are voiced.
They would need to do twice or three times the amount of voice-overs in order for this to work, and voice-overs are quite expensive.

As of now all of them are Account-bound so the answer is no.
For how long? At some point you’ll have to buy gems or die in this kittened-up economy.
Really?
That does sound rather unbelievable.
The fee is 15%. Which is quite logical and a rather needed gold sink.
You will still get over 200g so I don’t really see the problem.
Gold sinks need to exist.
Wouldn’t that however mean that you would have to actively grind to get level 80 gear for that character?
Or skill points for that matter.
1) Nope, don’t work in the setting
2) Nope.
3) Nope, don’t work in the setting
4) Nope, don’t work in the setting
I suggest you go and play another game if you want this.
Possible a game like EVE or Darkfall. Seems to fit you more.
How do we know we don’t have GMs?
A good GM is a GM that doesn’t draw attention to himself after all.
You have to do all 3 (4 if even) in one run to advance.
Body, hair, face, gender.
No race or profession changes.
Anything about race change?
Not available and most likely never will be.
Im assuming its a gem purchase? How much and what do you get with it?
I havent played the game in days because of the ascended gear/fractal level system debacle, so please enlighten me.Thanks!
For the hair it is 250 gems
For full make over (hair, body, sex) it is 350.
Because you won’t have a choice.
Ascended has much better stats then exotic + upgrade and can only slot infusions (which give + stats other then agony resist).
“Much better” is quite personal. In several cases a set of runes would be much better than the slight stat increase from the Ascended gear.
I would if it comes to that.
As of now they still haven’t failed their first chance in my eyes.
Why are Legendary Weapons tied to Dungeons?
Why are Legendary Weapons tied to World Completion?
Why are Legendary Weapons tied to Crafting?
Why are Legendary Weapons tied to Karma?
See? You could question every single part needed to gain Legendaries.
If you didn’t need WvW, why should I be forced to do Dungeons?
