Looks like a pay to win item. On the other hand it costs 22.3 gold worth of gems. You could buy 557 orichalcum picks for that.
And if a new ore better than ori comes out it will be obsolete.
It would be pay to win if it was better/stronger/could do other things than items available in-game.
That is not the case.
It is available from the store for a limited time.
Just like all the other content specific items (Halloween, Wintersday, Lost Shores). All these have had limited time store items, and the only thing that happened when the time was up was that they were no longer buyable.
Anet put really weird tooltips lately. On one side it says “account bound” and on the other side “soulbound on use”.
One side it says “unlimited use” and on the other side it says “limited time”…
ANET pls put clear tooltips.

That is exactly what is says in the store, and I would say that it makes it quite clear that it will:
1: Work forever
2: Only buy ble for a limited time
3: Is accout bound
4: Will get Soulbound when equipped.

It is most likely the sale itself that is limited, not the item.
Yes they are, they are quite expensive though.
You are right that the gold to gem transfers are not their main goal, but the cash cost is also high for an in-game item.

It is a permanent convenience item after all, it should be somewhat “expensive”.
How come everyone on these forums always assume that the prices should be based on the cost for converting gold to gems?
The gold to gem transfer rate is completely irrelevant when it comes to pricing stuff in the gem-store, since ArenaNet want people to buy the gems directly to buy stuff, not get it for free with gold.
Anet is genius. I hope they look at the sales data and show that people are willing to pay lots for guaranteed items

Quite unlikely that they would put permanent versions of gem-store only items in the gem-store.
The BLC is another matter though (which can be seen with the permanent bank, merchant and BLT hidden in there)

You get either a blue-hue dye (for the Frost one) or a red-hue dye (for the Flame one).

The areas that you can access are marked with names and level-span.
The map in the SoS is Southsun Cove, which can be access by talking to a guy on a ship in Lion’s Arch.

The Deep, Urgoz and DoA are all in continents (or well, DoA would technically be accessible if we get access to Ring of Fire) we currently don’t have access to, so it would be quite weird to go there.
As for 8 man overall that is quite unlikely, since the game is balanced around 5 players.
The game is very good and is evolving to better. I think the game needs more variety of armors and I would like to see a lots of new sexy armors of all types for female characters . What is your opinion? Thx

There is a reason there are quite few “sexy” armors.
If people want female characters with minimal clothes there are loads of other games to play.
No reason to add more of those silly things here.

Now that ArenaNet added a few of those things people complain about how they effect the world.

I tried googling this place, and checking the GW2 Wiki. The Wiki has no background on it besides saying it is an instance for this event.

Just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it is not there.
We can’t actually see any of the Elder Dragons as of now (except Zhaitan) that does not mean the Elder Dragons do not exist.
The name is based on a situation in lore. Not mechanic based.
There might be GvG battles in the future, but as of now, there arent and they most likely won’t come until Guild Halls are released.
You are fully allowed to buy more bank and bag space. Do that.
There is a reason you don’t have more or less unlimited bank-space.

What you should do is reporting the hacking. If not you might risk losing your account.
It is highly likely (I think it was confirmed, but can’t find the quote) that most of the things will get removed when the story line is over, at least those that would not make sense afterwards (such as refugees, sign, attacks and the first Rox/Braham stuff.)
So, you suck at dungeons, therefor you want them to make dungeons easier?
Keep in mind that Dungeons is the only “hardcore” content in this game, they are supposed to be hard.
The fact that the explorable mode can even be done by a decent PUG goes against the original plan about making them extremely hard and requiring a very good group.
Most people will probably rather have new content than just easier versions of already existing content. And no, you can’t just “lower the stats” to make something easier. Those that fail the dungeons would do so even if the enemy had lower stats.
So, lets say 1000 of these events (just making up numbers) fit the conditions put in place. That would mean a MASSIVE spam of events every time the cd is done. Unless of course it would only show one event at a time, which would lessen this problem a bit.
Feels like this would just end up spamming the guild chat though.
Keep in mind that there are over 1500 events in the world, and there are most likely a rather high amount of those that would fit those conditions.
I am thinking more of a (permanent?) dungeon than a big one-time event tbh.

Depends on how much you play, but yeah it should be quite possible.
Obviously not for everyone, hence the OP’s post. And a lot of other posts in, say, the Personal Story forum.
Look, I get it; you don’t have a problem soloing everything. That’s great. But your experience ?everyone else’s experience. Surely you can understand that? If not, perhaps these forums just aren’t for you.
Yet it is still fully possible, for everyone, to solo it. Maybe not at once. Maybe not with their current skill. But it is still possible.
But that is just the thing.
Everything outside of Dungeons are completely possible to solo in this game. So adding henchmen to that would make everything completely solo-able.
Why stand around doing nothing while you wait?
It is fully possible to play the game just as usual while in queue after all.
One thing to keep in mind is that guilds are not supposed to be used as extra, free, storage. They are supposed to be used for building groups of friends.

And ironically, it is usually the people who insist that others should have to group with them that are the last people I would want to group with.
But assuming that you should be able to do EVERYTHING in a game that is part of a genre that is called Massive MULTIPLAYER Online is rather weird, isn’t it?
If you refuse/can’t play with others, maybe a MMO is not the type of game you should play? At least not if you want to be able to experience 100% of it.
Keep in mind that this is the first time they have done this kind of content, and the Flame & Frost line should most likely be seen as an experiment and test run.

These kind of mails have always been sent out, from different “companies” even without you having an account with that company (Blizzard comes to mind, where I have gotten WoW-notices for years without ever playing WoW or not having a Battle.net account.)

We have known since the first part that the part in April would be the final Flame and Frost part. We also have no idea how much this part will contain.

WvW is a warzone.
You can’t run around in a warzone and decide that the enemy should not kill you.

It is in a PvPvE zone, it should have the risk of being PvP:ed.
If you want to complete a JP there are loads of them outside of WvW that are much easier and faster without the risk of PvP.
He has a point, nothing you can get from your personal story is that valuable. As for pact skins, they will still need to do the story line from start to that point to get them to begin with, not a big deal in my eyes since they still have to work for it.
So because they are not valuable people should be able to get as many of them as they want?

Getting access to items based on a choice and then getting access to the items you would have gotten if you had made the other choice would be rather weird.
