Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
It does hold a rather major value though. It is one of the requirements of reuniting the Charr Legions. Which is something that is very important when it comes to facing the Dragons.
Of course they sneaked in. The Charr wouldn’t allow a group of none-Charr running around in their territory. Just like how Ebonhawke or DR would allow a Charr to run around as he wished in there (at that time). Not all Charr want the Claw retrieved, it is also a matter of pride. They don’t want the “lesser races” to meddle in their affairs.
They are creators of this game. They can do anything. But they doesn’t want to because money-gems-gold-legendaries.
Of course. The also CAN take every item from you if you decide to not login for a week.
They do however care about the game (probably much more than us forum-posters) and as such they would most likely not do something that would more or less only lead to more rage such as forcefully lowering player set prices and so on.
What CAN they do about it though?
The price is set by players, if they suddenly start changing prices people put on the TP all hell will break loose.
Sure, they can increase the precursor drop-rate massively, but that will also make all hell break loose with those players that bought precurors or spent thousands of golds on weapons to put in the MF.
They don’t wake up at the same place, so I don’t really see how them waking up at the same time would be much difference from the current situation when it comes to ED to ED confrontations.
They would most likely not be able to corrupt each other.
This is a massive slap in the face to people who take a break and expected ANet to keep the promise that once you’ve bought the game, you can return at any time and have access to all the non-expansion content you missed, at no extra charge
Would love to see a source for this.
Especially since before this update you couldn’t even see the content at all if you missed it.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you can do every single part of the missed parts without paying anything by joining someone that have them unlocked.
I didn’t notice it the first time I read Ghosts of Ascalon, but thinking back over it, isn’t it kinda of insulting that the humans offered the charr an artifact that belonged to them, but was looted from territory held by the charr? It’d be like breaking into the Pyramids of Giza, plundering them for Egyptian artifacts then offering them to the Egyptians as a sign of peace.
Isn’t the whole point though that the Charr didn’t manage to get it due to the Ghosts?
If they were available at all time people would not feel the urgency to buy them though, since they can just wait until they have the spare gold to buy enough gems.
With the limited releases people that really wants them are “forced” to buy gems with real money to get them, which is something ArenaNet wants.
There are fourty-eight pages of arguments against the horrid megaserver.
They aren’t listening – nor caring.
We who paid for this game do not matter.
You are making a bunch of rather massive errors here.
1: Not everyone on those 48 pages dislike it.
2: Not everyone comes up with valid arguments and mainly just say that it sucks.
3: Mostly the same people keep writing over and over and over and over and over again in the thread, rather than new people coming into the thread.
We will get a massive amounts of posts about how much the GIFT sucked of course.
We know they considered killing Marjory at the end of season 1 and did not have the guts to do it.
Or rather because people spoiled said ending long before it was released?
I suppose killing thousands of people and destroying one of the most important city on the continent was not tragic enough?
That’s kind of a rude sentiment, through. What if you don’t want anything offered in the gem store? Just buy gems for the hell of it?
Yes?
Or buy gems and trade them for gold if you don’t want to hoard gems.
And why is it a problem? Maybe not executing, but demolishing the tree heavily seems legit for me and storytelling.
Because it would technically mean that there can be no new PC-Sylvari? ^^
Its still NCSoft that decides where to spend the manpower. And its obvious that its not being spent on GW2.
No it isn’t.
It is NCSoft that decides where to put money. Sure they can tell ArenaNet that they must put all their 300 employees at this specific issues or else they will lose their funding, but they can’t order ArenaNet employees to work on non-ArenaNet projects. They are hired by ArenaNet, not NCSoft.
Thing is, Anet is owned completely by NCSoft, unless NCSoft decides to pay for more than 25 developers to work on GW2, nothing is going to happen. The other 275+ might as well be working on Wildstar for all we know.
Yeah.. except for the fact that those 300+ employees are employed by ArenaNet not NCSoft, and as such they would not work on a non-ArenaNet project.
Not really.
I am rather sure that the devs does not have “interact with people on the forums” in their job-description. From my experience at least that is almost never the case.
Well if they did let it effect PPT it would increase stacking even more and make it 100% impossible for smaller servers to even have a chance, seeing as there would have (theoretically) been unlimited amounts of maps for the big server which were more or less empty of opposition.
And I am rather sure that people would have disliked that even more than the current version.
Dragon’s Reach: Part 1
Nothing from Personal Story matters at all. Your race, Order, chosen Study Race or any of the decisions you made. None of it makes any difference to the story outside of the PS. You may as well forget it exists.
That is actually outright lying.
The race at least does effect dialogues quite a bit.
Honestly, just look at the amount of great games coming in fall/early winter. (not MMOs but great games none the less). GW2 has a life expectancy of 4-5 more months maximum if they only keep doing this boring LS crap (last episode I was literally yawning all the way through) and do not provide a worthy competitive expansion.
Even ESO has had 3 features patches and is starting to look quite tempting.
GW2 has been killed by ESO, Wildstar, new WoW expansion, [insert any new game here] and yet it still looks very much alive.
The “next big thing” will always kill all games that was released before it, but usually those games doesn’t die from it.
23 days of life left to this thread, then don’t forget to make a new one to pursue the discussion about how enthusiastic we are that they are making a WvW focussed expansion that will include a GvG game mode and this is why they’ve been silent for so long…
I don’t think you know how necroing works.
You are not allowed to post in threads that have been “dead” (as in no new posts) for 30 days. Not threads that are 30 days old.
Oh, an RPG that consists of listening to people talking and conveying a story. Who would have though that?
And yes, (some) other games have new story with every update, but most of those don’t release updates more than three or four times a year.
I think that is the main thing though.
None of the races are strong enough to defeat the Dragons without the help of the others.
The only way we could defeat Zhaitan was due to the combined man-power, magic and technology of all the races.
Still haven’t done what I asked. Your points are invalid until you do so.
Why waste the time when you will just ignore it anyway?
But yeah, well we know that Devon is head of WvW, which would suggest there is a team. Being a head of something that does not exist would be rather silly after all.
Except that the Pact was mainly created to fight Zhaitan, and Zhaitan is defeated. Sure the long term goal is all the Dragons, but Zhaitan was the main reason and focus for the creation.
It would be better to compare it to the Cold War, and even if you did fight and became a “war hero” in the Korea War doesn’t mean you would automatically get higher priority or status in the Vietnam War.
I think necro posting is a wonderful way to remind the team of forgotten promises to its consumers.
It’s a very easy way and non aggressive way to re bring up the topic since they in turn can not deny it. Also it highlights how bad the ignoring of WvW is.
I’m truly sorry because i can relate to dealing with negativity from your consumers….but we are the consumers. We are always right.
It is also a great way to stop the team from ever saying anything, since people take everything as a promise.
Names don’t get changed until they are reported, since the GMs don’t run around looking for bad names.
The reason it was not changed until now was that no one reported it. Simple as that.
This is not the subject of the thread… by the way.. it’s not personal story, it’s swerver story, and you make it by zerging with 40 players on you left and other 50 on your right… not really personal..
it’s like going to the bathroom with 15 person looking at you.. not so personal
So what about those three maps that they didn’t add then?
And to be fair the majority of Season 2 have been instanced with small groups or solo. But I suppose that doesn’t count either?
Guess you mean real content. Haven’t seen it in over 2 years either. No new class around, no new weapon types, no new maps, no new personal story.
With UI improvements you don’t build loyalty. These things had to be finished when releasing the game.
Except for Southsun Cove, Edge of the Mists and Dry Top I suppose?
Oh and not counting S2 of Living Story either, since that is bascially new personal story.
Actually a rather large amount of suggestions have been implemented ingame.
You have to keep in mind however that the forums does not represent the whole player-base and even the forum users doesn’t agree on the suggestions.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it takes time to implement and balance things.
You are ignoring the fact that you got a rather large amount of Champion Bags and other stuff when completing the different parts of the release. Those should also be considered.
Of course, necroing threads with the purpose of actually adding something to the thread is one thing, but many of the necros here have simply been to bump the thread up, without adding anything.
And it is simply easier to forbid it altogether than having to deal with the people feeling the mods taking wrong action when locking some of the threads.
Number 2 is already the case.
If you leave/afk 3 matches within a set amount of time you get banned from sPvP for 72 hours.
Prove it. The part about demands and the part about there being a wvw team.
Did you read these forums before EotM was released?
There were more or less daily threads about how people wanted the ability to play while queued, how they wanted variety and how they wanted new maps.
You are ignoring the fact that it took 106 YEARS from Zhaitans awakening until it actually attacks Claw Island.
And we don’t know how long it took for it to send to troops to the other areas, but quite likely rather long (and none of them were actually organized attacks).
Mordremoth on the other hand have in just a bunch of days sent active, organized attacks across most of the continent.
So yeah, I would say it is rather logical to see Mordy as a bigger threat than Zhaitan and the other Dragons.
Why dont they auto lock all threads older than 30 days if they dont want us to post in them? This is beyond stupid.
I would assume because they thought people were mature enough to not necro threads of the reason of necroing them?
It is not really that hard to not necro a thread. You are required to know the rules of the forums after all.
Mordremoth have already spread across a very large part of Tyria (much larger than Zhaitan) within days of waking up.
It took Zhaitan years before it made its move against Claw Island.
I think you’ll find it’s the ones where they know their game is failing that refuse to reply to players.
Games which are still steadily going on, the devs and mod at least try to reply to some threads, or post updates every now and again on how the game development is, or isnt, going.
You mean just like they are doing here?
But maybe not in the part of the forums you would prefer?
City State games have already communicated more about their plans with RvR in CU than Anet have with their plans for WvW 2 years after release. And CU havent even reached Alpha stage yet.
You mean just like how ArenaNet communicated much more before release?
That is basically what every single company does.
They communicate massively before and during release on order to get players interested, but sooner or later all of them communicates less and less.
I would also hands down straight up buy the permanent hair kit for gems.
You already can ^^
Buy gems
Trade for gold
Buy Permanent Hair Kit from TP
Isn’t that what we are doing though?
But instead of wasting our own time we send our new friends, which also have connections, to talk to some of the important people?
We would most likely have lost quite a bit of time if we personally had to visit and convince everyone to join the Summit.
And yet someone being a veteran of several battles during WWII wouldn’t really have the ability to simply walk into the White House or Buckingham Palace just like that.
The PC have proven its worth to the Pact, not to the world as a whole.
The OP is right though, this doesn’t make the game better.
Doesn’t that depend on ones point of view?
Personally I for one prefer the old-school GW1 style to obtain them (it was also something that people had been demanding more or less since release) and if you don’t you can simply buy them.
I personally have enough nodes (more even) to completely my daily gatherer.
All the Meta-event ones + the two bought ones (basic ore and basic log).
You should really remove everything that’s about EoTM though. Its not WvW.
EotM is very much WvW, even if you don’t like it.
It was developed by the WvW team, in answer to WvW demands from WvW players.
You need to interact with an object at the marked area.
That specific one is at the Skill Point down the well in the shown area.
(edited by lordkrall.7241)
I would assume because they figured out that the Pact is not strong enough to defeat the aggressiveness of Mordy.
I for one find it rather useful for daily gathering and then being able to go back to the original place with just one click ^^
That analogue would work. IF the COUNTRIES were part of the Pact.
That is not the case. The Pact is made up by the ORDERS and as such they have no power in the different countries.
Which seems to be the whole point of the current summit. To gather the COUNTRIES under one banner and confront the Dragon.
