Get the collection chest. Log out. Log on Revenant. Open collection chest. Enjoy your Revenant armor. It’s really not rocket science at this point.
And If you did’nt knew they were gonna be soulbound ?
If you didn’t know it was going to be soulbound, which many people didn’t, simply use the skin you’ve unlocked from it. Unless you’d rather wait to see if Anet decides to turn it account bound. But you may be waiting for quite awhile on that.
I only have the boots on my Mesmer, but as for all the other pieces, I’ve planned accordingly to unlock the very last piece(s) on my rev and so far it’s worked out. So it’s not too hard to compensate for it.
Like most who’s already replied, no. Not supporting it.
I’d REALLY like to see a Violin or Viola instrument added for this coming Wintersday. I’ve been hoping to see one in the past years but no go
I think it’d make for an elegant sounding and visually appealing holiday this year.
FINGERS CROSSED
There’s a whole list here , but if you’re stuck on one – look up Dulfy’s jumping puzzle guides.
I’d much rather have the ability to change classes over race, tbh. Especially with all the huff and potential complications a race change could include.
You’d likely even have less problems to deal with via class change pertaining to the personal story and other interactions from npcs.
I’d much rather be taught/shown how to do something as opposed to being lectured to death about something. I learn better through demonstration anyways.
I’m sure many people do, and examples are a key way of teaching what and what not to do. So disabling skills/utilities would be completely counter productive.
I transmuted Moot for the shadow mace a few weeks ago to match a theme I had for my war, but then decided to change it back. It’s all so much easier now, can’t help to feel spoiled with the wardrobe/reskins.
But same, once I unlock G’s Bastion, it’ll prob be one of the only skins I’ll ever use for a long while.
You don’t even pay a monthly subscription on this game, so roughly 80% of the content is or has been free.
Plus the developers have to make a living somehow right? Or do you expect them to work for free? So if you weren’t there at the time it was given out for free, you apparently had more important things irl to do/deal with.
Even I wasn’t around for LS2 but paid to unlock it so I can do it once and never griped about it. And there’s many other things I don’t agree with too. I would much rather pay for small bits such as this rather than a constant monthly subscription like some other games.
“Catchy and memorable” would still get old really quick when you have one or multiple stacks of Knowledge tomes. Because then you’d have people who’d just rather stand around and level watching the same animation 80 times over.
Maybe if they disabled or reverted to actually forcing people to level up without tomes or time gating it, then that might help. Otherwise I don’t see how it’d matter much.
Give people a little, and they want much more.
I too would like to see it eventually integrated into the older maps/areas, but imagine how many people who haven’t yet bought the expansion would react if those of us who did flew around everywhere.
Plus, recalling another post the other day, they’d still have to find out how to disable gliding for JPs and edges of the map and so forth.
Do you really want to see NPE 2.0 (New Player Experience)? I doubt many people do, I wouldn’t. So no changes to the mastery system is necessary right now, just fixes for the current bugs to make things much smoother.
Then, after the current problems are dealt with and out of the way, move on down the checklist.
But…Charr….and the clipping issues…
Armor set pieces of the same set even clip among themselves, even those Ascalon light racial pants clips with itself which is pretty redundant. A cape won’t add much more.
Issues with clipping is long overdue to be addressed but trying to cover up clipping with outfits isn’t appeasing many people. You’ve got countless threads floating by people who’d much rather see full sets of armor over outfits.
So capes and worrying about clipping should the least of peoples worries right now till they can address and solve all other prior clipping issues.
To be frank, I doubt the issue would really ever be fixed unless they did a complete overhaul.
No rifles from the guardian chest, and zero focus from the warr chest.
As long as you have the skin unlocked after making/salvaging it (since its soulbound), what’s the fuss?
You can just reskin any same piece of armor with the skin, and there you have it. I’m sure eventually you’d end up skinning it over some ascended/legendary armor later on anyways.
How is it that people don’t know that the glider is used to ‘soften’ landings
(just like parachutes…)? It’s not hard to keep from dying. As someone who’s getting used to gliding, I’ve actually been enjoying it and the view.
As for dying by mobs and such, sure it gets annoying – but it’s expected when you’re out numbered. These maps aren’t supposed to be a walk in the park obviously, so tread with caution or expect to rage quit.
These maps are not hard at all. A little challenging maybe..
(if you aren’t thinking about what you’re doing) but do you really want this game reduced down to a toddler game? I definitely don’t, if you do then find a pay to win game. If you aren’t paying attention and die, then you’ve only got yourself to blame.
All this QQ is older than dirt and getting older.
- By the way Anet, nice job on the ending. Kudos for how it turned out and the fight was well thought out.
Dungeons give ‘em too unless they’re planning to nerf those along with the gold.
gems to unlock all waypoints (requested today)
gems for immediate level 80 (requested yesterday)
gems for mounts with 100-300% speed boost (frequent)
gems to convert PvE maps to PvE/PvP (frequent)
gems to unlock all hero points (requested today)Just because someone wants it doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. It may benefit you and other players yet be bad for the game as a whole.
It really makes me wonder why such people play games at all if they can’t put any effort in anything ingame and have to rely on $ to get good. Really quite sad.
Because farming to unlock a spec will make you good ^^
No, simply playing and taking the time to actually learn the games mechanics and earning/building up your character as opposed to buy2build and playing it lousy in comparison. Not too hard of a traditional concept I hope.
I’d actually be interested in seeing the Ancient Karka and the Marionette as possible end bosses.

No. How does buying your way through a game make it interesting at all?
The game might as well play itself if everything has to be bought or served with an easy button.
I’ll pass on this.
Here’s what I do when trying to speed lvl, IF I don’t have tomes of knowledge on hand.
I gather all my boosters, mostly B-day, celebration, general pve Xp boosts which seem to have kill streak added (it’s nice).
Then I mostly stay in lvl 1-15, lvl 15-30, lvl 30-45/50 zones. Since there’s Kryta, Ascalon, Maguuma and Shiverpeak starting zones, that’s plenty to hit 80
(you’ll be scaled down and will still earn Xp). I do a mix of hearts, events, and story if I’m close to the next level. With Exp and kill streak boosters, just keep killing hostiles or anything with a yellow colored name over it’s head to reset the timer.
Or if you have 80+ tomes, just use those. I’ve tried EoTM and pvp, neither really clicked for me. But I still manage to do it in a 72 hour window.
The nooks of Blazeridge Steppes and the quiet snow covered woods of Wayfarer Foothills.
When I say “nooks” I mean the secluded parts of the map with nothing but ambient creatures around. And the Ascalon sunset is overall appealing to gaze at from the cliff sides. Then going to the snow covered woods of the Shiverpeaks just gives a serene feel watching snow slide off the trees and listening to the ambient sounds of animals while napping (headphones).

The reason I feel compelled to do map completion is because I, like some others, am a completionist. And it’s nice having all places mapped out without having to worry if you have it or not.
Otherwise if you don’t, you might feel as if you’re holding people back if they invite you to an event and you can’t get there instantly.
You might be able to find a closer WP to start from – that’s fine, but being given completion? No thank you, that only promotes laziness. There’s too much of it.
If you or someone doesn’t like doing it, we shouldn’t see anyone complaining about their characters only having 50% of the map or that they’re being nagged at for delaying time to get to a certain place.
And what would your argument be against optional account-bound Map Completion? How would that affect you or like-minded individuals in any way?
Completely against it. It’s fine as it is now, and much simpler without wvw. To me, even having wvw was a sort of ‘gate’ because you had people purposely trying to grief people trying to complete their maps.
Now that it’s out of the way, there should be no or little reason people should be complaining ’it’s too hard or takes too long’. Because guess what, nothing ever means much if you don’t put effort into it. Regardless if it’s repetitive. And you can at least say you have the patience for it.
So yea, nothing could convince me to accept something like this. Same could be said for irl, taking shortcuts makes you complacent.

It’s been stated/posted on reddit that they’re unable to implement the activity to get it this year because it’s broken.
So going by that, there’s a possibility it’ll return next year /sigh.
^
Are you aware how much rage/lashback there’d be if they included such items (like) Mawdrey II/ Star of Gratitude/ Princess in a gemstore bundle package; while thousands of other people (likely more) had to actually work (grind) to make theirs or put in the time to get it? A lot.
Many people would look at it as another freebie or shortcut for new players. Enticing new players is not always bad. Just giving them for free or little effort that so many other people had to invest time into getting/acquiring is.
They could simply reintroduce ways to get them. But bringing them back via gemstore? I’d pass as I’m sure some other people would. As for the Salvage tools, they’ll usually return if they were to ever be removed.
I’m sure you’d hate to see your time and investments devalued in a similar way as well.
Or perhaps we can just give away everything in the game until everything has no meaning at all.
I’ll just leave this quote here.

The block feature and simply ignoring and moving is the remedy for online bullying. And if it were to persist, the report feature is there.
But since the public wouldn’t really care to see or get involved, it’s best it remains behind curtains and taken care of discreetly between the involved persons.
Referring to the revenant, correct?
You’ll need 20 Spirit Shards to start with. Find the Mystic Forge and go to the vendor (Miyani, sp?). She will sell Augur Stones that cost 20 Spirit Shards.
Upon getting an Augur Stone, you’ll need to refine 5x Bloodstone Dusts, 5x Dragonite Ore, and 5x Empyreal Stars all into bricks. Then assuming you have either 425-450/500 in whichever craft you’re using it should automatically give you the recipe to craft Vision Crystals. (Look in the Crafting Components tab of the craft list window)
Vision Crystal:
1x Augur Stone + 5x of each Bloodstone, Dragonite, Empyreal Star bricks.
This isn’t new actually, there’s just 2 variations to this boss fight. 2 different outcomes depending on which of the 2 molten bosses you killed first.
These bosses were added back during the Fractured update, along with Mai Trin and Thaumanova.
They can either wait for them to respawn, or go somewhere else. Especially if you were there first. It’s first come first serve. If they are using maize balms though, it would be courteous to leave them to it as they spent their gold.
Otherwise, tough luck as already stated.
If you plan to make one/some and have the necessary mats/gifts for it, sure. Otherwise if you’re looking to just buy and resell, it might be a bad idea.
Rofl, exactly what I just thought of / did just now.
This just looks like an attempt to start drama.
Possibly, seems like they left out the slider so they wouldn’t have to deal with any inconsistencies regarding face presets. As for female norn, I’d leave that for someone to find out about.
On past games that use male presets/beards, it’s been a similar pattern. (Nwn2)
Pretty sure the reason for no male cheek slider has to do with the beards. If the cheeks were made too gaunt or too chubby, it’d either leave a gap or clip through the preset beards.
Yep, or change the stats if you choose to so it better fits your Mesmer’s build.
Also with Ascended gear, you can also change its stats now provided you have the required items to do so. One of the items you’d need to change stats is Anthology of Heroes sold by Miyani (mystic forge).
I’m also waiting for this 8-bit mushroom cloud to return. It looks the most original, and simple imo.
Please, don’t bring back the 2012 BLC skins. Please, let there be some prestige old-time items in this game. The veterans who where there had their chance.
And why should new players access the skins while they weren’t around the first time?
Why should everybody have everything? When that day comes in GW2, it will be a really sad day.
So Anet, when end-game is about fasion, please don’t disappoint your older player base.I played right through from release date -3 days, before that I played GW1, so I am an old player base person. I counter why not bring these back? You have had plenty of time to enjoy them so why not others getting the same chance? To be honest your words sound just a bit selfish.
There are those who have been playing equally long as you but for whatever reason didn’t get them, why shouldn’t they be given a second chance?
Anet did not say these items would never be back. If they do bring them back then good for them, and those who chose to get them.
+1 and agreed. I couldn’t care any less for prestige in this game, as I ‘had’ the mad king backpeices but no longer since they were soulbound. And how was anyone supposed to know they would come out with a wardrobe system later on?
Plus those prices need to be culled down, a lot. If people expect to be paid/compensated for having those skins for that long, tough luck. Not a lot of things in this game are forever anymore. And it’s all about what people want. Not what you want.
Likely Reaper, chrono, berserker, scrapper if I can get more used to it and possibly druid.
Even some of the matching armor sets found on here clip with itself, which is pretty sad. So what more harm would a cape do? And as Blair said. From how it looks Anet would have to use a collision model of a sort to attempt to fix clipping.
Other games such like skyrim even has a similar situation, only difference is the fan community is given tools to make mods that fix this problem.

Agree, I’d really like to get my madking memoirs backpeices back. I was oblivious that they’d add the wardrobe update afterwards and deleted the characters I had those on since they were soulbound at the time. Still upsets me and anets said they can’t/wouldn’t do anything about it :\
As for the other Halloween skins, it would be nice to have a chance to get those too. And I do not care about exclusivity before anyone goes whining about it.
Hey, are there any plans for holding another wvw tournament in the near future?
I missed out on the previous 2 seasons due to a demanding work schedule and before transferring to FA my previous server wasn’t exactly wvw heavy. I’d like to try ’n get some wvw tourney claim tickets to get the mistforged axe/shield.
So I was hoping there might be another sometime between end of this year and into next.
-T.I.A
I sort of agree, and kinda feel it could be taken advantage of negatively if titles were given by age of account versus age of characters.
I’ll start with how it could negatively impact the game. Bots and gold sellers. They’ve been around for a couple years, roughly 6 – maybe 8 months after the game launched back in 2012. But for any accounts that missed the ban hammer, they have a lil over 2 years now.
And also for people who’d rather take the easy/risky route and purchase pre-made accounts. They could even take advantage of such a feature and use it deceptively to fool other people.
As for people who’ve actually played since launch and later, but actually do play – it would be nice having.
Depending on what class I play as, it can get from annoying to “meh” to quite fun.
The classes that have more single-target attacks won’t be really appealing, sure. But then there’s the Ranger with some ‘ok’ underwater attacks, and there’s my favorite stun fishing bomb-kit engi
Mesmer would fall about the same range as ranger and necro for me, while warrior, guardian, thief I try avoiding as much as possible.
Trying to maneuver and traverse in limited visibility though can get pretty tedious after awhile though, but same would go for certain maps/terrain. And I outright despise dredge areas and CoF.
It’d be really nice if the associated items with this event would linger as laurel item options. If that happened, I really wouldn’t care if they charged even more laurels for them. Because at least we can accumulate laurels via dailies.
But of course you’d have people constantly complaining about their items no longer being exclusive. Like I said though in another thread, exclusivity only exists to an extent on this game as any other.
When I bought the light Armageddon armor set from the temples the first time , they weren’t salvageable. Unless Anet changed it since then, I never really cared to check again since I already had the skins. But who knows.
I just remember them not being salvageable.
