“instead of having to log on EVERY DAY.”
it’s a completely voluntary activity, SURPRISE,SURPRISE!You don’t have to log on daily and do anything.
If I want to get ascended amulets, then I actually have to.
it makes you “want to”, not “have to” again, don’t do it daily, do it at your own pace.
Why don’t you complain about legendaries the same way. “QQ Why cant i just log on after 5 months and have one, instead -I HAVE TO- farm daily and spend time online to get one” – you don’t have to, again. it’s completely optional.
Legendaries are cosmetics, Ascended Gear are not. They’re stats, gear boosters and power.

So you want to be a warrior in sPvP.
Get a friend that is good at support and control like a D/D ele(Make sure he is good at this build too).
My D/D ele friend’s knockdown, remove conditions, immobilize, freeze gave me everything a hundred blade warriors dream about. Simply press 5, frenzy, then 2. Both me and my friend obliterated everyone in sPvP.

So your actual suggestion is:
would absolutely love would be a way to, say, set up a simple campfire to sit around and talk. Or perhaps chairs: sitting in the dirt in a field is informal, while actual seating is more refined, even if it is upon cushions around a campfire.
Pay 700 gems for the chef costume in the gem shop so you can lay down a fire pit anywhere in the world. I bought one and I used it the same way as explained in the OP. I do not regret my purchase.
However, I do want chairs too.
By the way, please bold that quote because it is the really important part. You are writing a wall of text that could’ve been summarized in three sentence.

In weekly, we could do 7 tiers of rewards.
You get a chest and reward for every tier. Players can schedule their time to finish their weekly. If a player has only time on Friday, he can just play all day at Friday to receive all the rewards.

I could have sworn the devs said there would be laurel vendors in every major city. Are there not?
It wouldn’t make sense for there to be multiple Mystic Forges. The way I understand it, its a unique thing.
Dungeon vendors being in other cities would be nice. At the very least put the vendors for the dungeons located in that region in the city (A Twilight Arbor vendor in the Grove, Citadel of Flames / Ascalonian Catacombs vendors in Black Citadel, ect).
Festival NPCs would be nice, definately.
Free travel to any major city would be a huge plus, if free travel to LA through Heart of the Mists isn’t going to be removed. Either make free travel to every city, or not at all.
Even with all of those changes, though, Lion’s Arch is still going to be the main hub. Players are always going to look for a single place to gather with other players, and the game sets it up to be LA through personal storylines, travel options (Lion’s Arch has gates to every other city, other cities only gate to Lion’s Arch, not to mention the mist portals), and a central location on the world map.
Of course LA won’t suffer a massive loss of players. However, overtime players will slowly leave LA for other cities.
I disagree free travel would be a huge plus. Suppose that free travel and every necessary npc are in all cities. Everyone would just go to one other city to hub if not Lion’s Arch. If people still wants to hub in LA just because they can get a free portal, let them.
Even with all of those changes, though, Lion’s Arch is still going to be the main hub. 1. The best other place to look for other players is gw2lfg.com. You can still hub anywhere you want and still fill your party at an instant.
2. The personal storyline in LA is a small portion of the game.
3. A central portal system is pointless if you have fast travel in a click of a button. At best, it’ll be used for players to move their new characters to other regions.
4. The mist can be entered with a click of a button. It is not required to go through the portal. But WvW guilds can meet there to enter right before the reset but it is not enough to be a PvE hub.

They’re not hard. They’re annoying.
In fact, the old dailies were annoying as well. Especially when you are a dungeon runner.

I agree with your idea. But If you have more than 1 city, the other one is usually a ghost town. (RPers aside. Bless yas)
LFG tool would help the issue even more i’d expect.
Not really.
Black Citadel- Cheapest hub for CoF, AC, and HoTW folks.
Divinity Reach- I would pay more to have this as my hub.
The Grove- Closest to Orr.
Rata Sum- Very organized Crafting hub.
Hoelbrak- The only city to be expected as a Ghost town unless there is something I am missing.
Lion’s Arch- Fractal Hub.
I disagree that a LFG tool would help as much with the issue. It probably will never help at all. We already have a third party LFG tool and it is pretty good at eliminating LFG spam in my server. Without the NPC, I am forced to go to Lion’s Arch to buy certain items from the dungeon vendors. With the NPC, I can just travel to the closest city to buy items.

Oh you have to run back for 3minutes? Big deal. Its a low punishment for wiping. I think wiping should cause the dungeon to fail so you have to restart completly.
Too weak. I think wiping should uninstall the game and format your hard disk.
i agree but it should also install a virus that will blow up your computer.
Still too weak. Anet should conjure special magic where the players die exactly how they died in the game.

But it never hurt to see more builds.

Dungeon vendors, Laurel Vendors, Mystic Forge, festival NPCs and all other necessary NPC should always be in all cities.
Why? Because I don’t want to hub in Lion Arch. It is ugly. But I am forced to hub there because the Laurel and Dungeon vendors are in LA.
Maybe this will solve the other “cities being dead” problem without making cities being free to waypoint to.

Not just Ranger spirits but buff all pet’s hp(turrets, spirit weapons, minions, etc) so they are almost unkillable at least by dungeon mobs.
Before the Guardian’s spirit weapon nerf, Spirit weapons were fun to use anywhere including dungeons. Now that Guardian’s spirit weapon has hp, it has become really crappy.

I don’t feel like reading a block of text and many other people don’t want to read a block of text either. The title should be the main idea and the rest should support the main idea. Bold text should be something to tell the reader not to skip. The main idea shouldn’t be hidden in the middle of the block of text. Utility goggles are really good for easy mode dungeons. Utility goggles combined with Elixir B can give you a very long duration of fury which is required if you want high amounts of crit. Utility goggles give you stun break, which is very useful for mobs like scavengers. Scavengers are power only if you get knockdown but once you stun break, scavengers stand there helplessly. Utility goggle’s toolbelt skill gives ten stacks of vulnerability which is useful for group dps. Put vulnerability on the boss and your teammates kill the boss faster. At mob groups that has zero knockdowns, I usually spam elixir B and Utility goggles together. When I see scavengers, I use elixir B and then wait for the scavenger to knock me down before I use Utility goggles.
If you go into harder dungeons where dodging is required, replace it for Elixir R. It is a defensive stunbreak. It refills endurance and lets you res a downed ally.
For sigils, I use two sigil of strength for might stacking. You can easily reach 25 stacks of might just by attacking. I haven’t tried sigil of fraility but it might be good for party dps.
For Runes, I use Fire/hoelbrak/strength to increase might duration by 60% to maintain more mights. Instead of 7 stacks of might, I can maintain 10 stacks of might.
For weapons, it is better to use Pistol/pistol because of glue shot. Pistol/shield isn’t really good at all.
I use full Berserker armor and trinkets because I hardly take damage.

Guardian Spirit weapons were fun before the nerf. You just had to summon three pets then fire and forget. With the nerf, Guardian spirit weapons die too easily which destroys the spirit weapons entirely.
Give all pets(Turrets, Nature spirits, Pets, Guardian spirits, minions, etc) 90% damage reduction or invulnerability while in dungeons. It isn’t fun to have pets dying.

Downing is your breath bar.
When your hp reaches zero, your breathlyzer gets knocked off. You then have to reach into the surface to regain hp.
Other than that, Removing Breath bar was a conscious choice. Arenanet didn’t feel that breath bars were fun so they removed it entirely.

I don’t understand why people have to kite the Magg room pre-patch. Killing them is much faster.
It is IF you have a proper DPS party. I see alot of people say this but then they dont realize they either run with a steady dungeon group or/and had a high dps party. Sure, its doable with lesser dps but sometimes the effort isnt worth it when it’s easier to just kite as stated.
Not true at all, did a full clean with a full cleric ele, full zerker thief, full zerker warrior, and support guardian (me). We 4manned the whole defend magg event w/o a single person downing. It’s not a dps issue, its a learn to focus + stack mobs issue.
I two-manned it with a Ranger and Engineer. Oh you want proof? I don’t have proof.

Why not make an unofficial PvE guesting goto server?
This way, you can find a huge batch of players at all zones like at launch. Empty zones do get boring after a while.
Most players are going to be playing Fractals, WvW, or dungeons anyways.

A Norn horde on the doorstep? That is a great gift actually.
Charr’s engine of destruction killed their gods. The Charr just need to steamroll them down like a pile of meat.
Most people seems to overestimate the power of Norns just because a few Norn are famous. Companies of Norn tried to take down the Dragonspawn but instead they became Icebroods(Edge of Destiny). The Dragonspawn sent a Ice storm to Hoelbrak and rustled their jimmies but no Norn army had managed to take down the Dragonspawn until Destiny’s Edge got there.
I say that Humans would win because my GW1 character commited multiple genocide on his own.

Also, good luck winning any sort of decisive victory vs. the Norns.
You can’t just march onto Hoelbrak and kill everyone and call it a day; Hoelbrak is essentially nothing more than a very, very large homestead. There are countless homesteads and other Norn settlements out there. If you declare war on the Norn, prepare for a dirty guerrilla-type campaign to be waged against you.
Compare it to, let’s say, conquering the Black Citadel and executing the Tribunes or Divinity’s Reach and beheading Queen Jenna.
The Norn wouldn’t resort to guerrilla campaign. Why would the “Strong” resort to cowardly measures?
The Norn would’ve fought Jormag to extinction if not for the Spirit of the Wild. They would fight the Charr to the death this time.
But lets say that cowardly Norns do fight a guerrilla warfare. There is a huge counter to this. Turrets!
In the Charr storyline, the Ash Legion wanted to make a Ghostbuster Turret for more precision in the Charr storyline. When the turret fires, the Charr gets ready for battle in one second defeating the Norn’s element of surprise.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
As far as Charr vs Norn goes, it depends. In this scenario, are all the races suddenly going, “Let’s have a WAR!”? If so, the Norn would actually be offensive for once, which they have never been against another nation. While historically, Norn fight individually, they’ve recently been learning how to fight as a group, as we see with the Wolfborn.
In other words, if we have a situation where the Norn race actually gets together and fights as an army, every other race is screwed. A single Norn is stronger than an entire Charr warband – we see this in ‘Movement of the World’; when the Charr first encountered the Norn, the charr assault was totally destroyed. The lore states that the charr would have only defeated the Norn (back then fighting as individuals) with an entire Legion devoted to it. So we’re talking a third of their forces.
As far as assassinating the heroes, that wouldn’t work – every Norn considers themselves a hero. Saying you’d send the Ash Legion to assassinate the heroes is like saying you’d just assassinate every Norn. And how would you even do it? The charr kinda stand out, and a follower of Snow Leopard would be just as stealthy as an Ash Legion charr.
That said, the norn would almost certainly lose an all-out war between them and the charr. The charr have better unit tactics and war material then the norn do. However, we’re talking about a four-way battle here – humans vs asura vs norn vs charr. If the races make the same assumption we are (specifically, that the charr are the greatest threat), they might simply all attack the charr first. In which case the charr would be utterly destroyed, and it would be humans vs asura vs norn left to duke it out.
And that is the problem. Every single Norn thinking themselves as a hero. If legendary heroes get assassinated, every single Norn will think their tactics is better or foolishly charge in front of the Blood Legion’s rifle.
It is like every single private soldier in the army promote themselves as a commander. Who is going to command who? Who’s tactics is right? Who is going to bother listen to the other? It is clearly a mess and nothing else.
The Chain of Command by the Charr is absolute. Every single soldier are disciplined and trained.
When the boastful Norn soldiers arrive in the frontlines, they will arrive to a disadvantageous battle only to get themselves bombarded with shells.
This is like a Roman army vs. Barbarians except the Romans assassinated all the Barbarian leaders.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Charrs would win easyly. What we see in the game are only the territories of the iron legion. Dont forgot Charrs have all the regions of the north. We just saw 1/3 or 1/4 of their real forces.
Norns are incredibly strong, far far far stronger than a Charr or a Human, and i think nobody could win against them in Shiverpeaks, because of the snow and the icy cold. It would be a vietnam-like war. But they lack of technology and organisations.
Asura have a great technology, but golems show quite fast their limits. Their forces is the technology, and for me, Charrs > Asuras. Because they have heavy tank, motorcycle and copters. And Asuras are very physycaly weak.
Humans don’t have technology. They use catapult and bow (did you saw some seraph with rifles ? neither me. Those weapon seems quite rare in Krytia), and they are so “weak” that centaurs push the line to Shaeemor, the doors of the human’s capital. They don’t rule the regions where they live (soldiers complain about the fact that centaurs do what they want). And physically, they are weaker than Norns, Charrs, Hyleks… only the Skriits and the Asuras are weaker than human in this plan.
for me Char >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Asura = Norn >>>> Human
Norn would be the weakest of them all. Norn do not have leaders. They have heroes. These heroes are the link that binds them all together. The Ash Legion could easily send a assassination squad to assassinate the heroes. This will destroy the Norn’s morale and cause the Norn to be disorganized. Iron Legion cannons will scatter what is left of the Norn and the Blood Legion moves in to clean up the mess.
Asura are not united. Put in 5 Asurans in one room and you have 17 opinions on how to approach a battle. The High Legion would be able to just move in before a decision is made.
Humans are resilient. If anything, they are the greatest challenge that Charr would have to face. Humans faced crises over crises again and will do again in the future. It was humans who defeated the White Mantle when they were at power. It was humans who pushed the Unseen to their doom. It was humans who pushed back the Titans. It was humans who defeated Shiro Tagachi and his Afflicted that plagued Cantha. It was humans who defeated Abaddon and stopped Nightfall from taking over Elona. Present day, Queen Jennah was able to unite the Charr and human which everyone including the fans thought was impossible. The Centaurs and bandits plagued Kryta for one reason, Minister Caudecus used them. If Caudecus backed down, Queen Jennah would have a formidable force united to defeat all enemies.

Squishy pets are a problem in dungeons.
The thing is, pet shouts are suppose to only affect pets only. It would be silly that pet shouts affects humans.
Apples and oranges, SoS and Retreat! are two different skills that does two different things. It is essentially like comparing stealth thieves to bunker guardians. There is no way to argue your point because there was no connection in the first place.
You might not need to put it in your bar, but I will put it in my bar to keep my pet alive without the need for switching.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Retreat -> Attack!:
“Retreat!”
Skill type: Utility
Cast time: instant
Cooldown: 30 seconds(I would put 15 seconds if there weren’t extra boons. The boons will differentiate between f3 and Retreat!)
Skill description: The pet will run away from the target, gain aegis, swiftness and regeneration.
Fear duration: 3 seconds(only to the pet for increased response time to get pet to run away)
Swiftness duration: 3 seconds
Aegis duration: 10 seconds
Regeneration: 5 seconds
Break stun
After using Retreat, you gain attack.
“Attack!”
Skill type: Utility
Cast time: instant
Cooldown: 1 seconds
Skill description: Pet will immediately attack the target.
Removes Fear.
Why have this? Because squishy pets may actually become viable. If the pet is low on hp, pop this skill and the pet will run away. If your pet is on AoE, pop this skill so they don’t die instantly.
Of course there are possible problems with aggro, which is why Attack! would be the second skill. This allows you to gain more control over your pet. If you see your pet moving towards another mob, press the skill again and f3.
Why have this? Because I like to melee. If I press F3, my pet will not run away from the target. Instead they just stand around and not attack anything. Sometimes, F3 takes too long to get pets out of there. It isn’t responsive or pet is just positioned wrongly.

It really bothers me that I charge into battle while shouting retreat.
Incoming, however, is versatile to more meanings. One as in, “get the hell out of there”, or “watch out for that attack!”
If anything, Retreat should be a shout skill for Rangers to be used a survivability pet skill. but that is getting off-topic.
