I completely disagree.
This feature is my safety net. I enter first, if I get kicked, everyone else gets kicked. This ruined many guild griefers who kicked me because their guildmates wanted rewards.

If there was a Guild vs. Guild, I would love to see the the entire world of Tyria be the PvP map for the guilds.
You challenge a guild and then get sent to a random zone to fight against this one guild. The PvE players are the spectators.
I feel like this might be a little annoying because, what if you end up in a high level zone, people who aren’t that high level end up getting attacked because random aggros.
You get upscaled to that level of the zone.
That could work but it would still be annoying since certain spawns aggro incredibly quickly and in large numbers.
It takes 2 minutes for a mob to respawn. If your guild cannot wipe out mobs within 10 seconds, your guild will never win the Guild vs. Guild battle.
If you don’t want to fight in a area with mobs, you can always fortify yourself in an outpost.

That would be totally imbalanced. If you’re on a server that totally annihilates the other two, getting 100% on only the WvW maps would take less than an hour. And it would still be impossible if you’re on an underdog server.
In essence, your suggestion does not touch the core problem here.
In what way would an underdog server be incapable of getting gifts of exploration if they could get one without ever going into WvW?
That is the problem. WvW should not be included in getting Gifts of Explorations in the first place. Mapping all the WvW maps should give you something related to that game mode instead.
It does. It gives Badges of Honor/Blueprints.
Gift of exploration is for Legendary weapons, which can be used in PvE AND WvW.

the one thing OP and others are forgetting is you do not HAVE to do them at all. Go do fractals for acended rings instead, or do like wvw’ers do and do without.
This entire game is optional but it doesn’t mean it should be an excuse to dismiss any opinion.
If it is unfun, why should Anet keep such a flawed design?

I was in an AC group today that had 2 people want to switch characters at the boss. I was perfectly fine with that. One even waited too long to switch, and requested that we kite the boss until he got loaded in. Again, I was perfectly fine with that. But this is AC we’re talking about.
The final bosses in CoF (path 1 and 2) pretty much require 5 players. In path 1, if you’re not a strong DPS group, losing a player can significantly lengthen the battle. Same with path 2, but due to the mechanics rather than DPS limitations.
COF p1 boss needs 5 players?
On a boss that is permanently regenerating for 25 stacks? You do the math.

This feature saved my kitten plenty of times. I was the host for the dungeon this one time in a party full of guildies. They kicked me so that they can give their guildmates the rewards. The problem is, I was the host.

Caudecus manor looks great as a gun-shooting dungeon. The bandits with guns makes it even better. It is a pity that CM is a regular dungeon instead of a range-oriented dungeon.
First,
- Nerf the hp of bandits so that they scale to the amount of time it takes to kill during range.
- Give every ranged bandits the ability to use “distortion.” A skill available from Bandit archers. Except, it blocks only projectiles. This is the “Take cover!” skill for bandits.
- Give every ranged bandits a 0 recharge knockback. Bandits does not use this while in distortion.
- Have many low hp bandits that can be killed in a single shot and a few large hp bandits.
- The trash bandits with large hp can cause cripple in all their attacks.
- All melee trash bandits can be one or two-shotted.
- Bandit archers gets perma-stealthed. However, they lose stealth when attacked. It is for that sniper feel.

It takes a bit more dedication in forming a party. Just because you can’t get a party easily as CoF exp, doesn’t mean it is next to impossible.

I tend to use Glass cannon pets if I am positioned safely away enough to keep an eye on my pet.
This way, I can press f4 if I see a dangerous AoE attack incoming or if my pet is running low on hp.

Some of them have quite epic moments and i’d be happy to revisit them.(and get tokens too) If it’s the story not making sense, well.. it doesn’t already. You can clear them in any order, or skip some of them, and Exp modes are already repeated a lot. (dead npcs coming back to life and then killed again, npcs getting their memory wiped, etc.)I’m sure people will be fine with it.
Then get a party for it if you want to do Storymode again if you want to do it for the ‘moments.’
After all, there is no need for extra reward if you just want the ‘moments.’

If you think the Breached wall was bad. Wait till you get to the Vizer tower.
Also, you are not required to get a skill point or vista. They are rewards for you if you did it. If you did not enjoy the difficulty of the challenge, you don’t have to get either of these.

I’m really excited for Guild missions but here is my question:

So, instead of handling it like an adult and discussing your intentions, you just kicked him at the very end of a dungeon.
Wait your telling my guildie to act like an adult and discuss this with this fellow? Watch the Video again and watch as he discusses what we should do in the coming boss fight…… OH WAIT he charged into the room hopped in a hole in the wall and then proceeded to get himself killed! No my guildie and I had discussed kicking him in our Vent channel due to him bad mouthing and giving our necro (who had ran HotW only once beforehand) attitude and then he went all Leeroy Jenkins on us and that was the final straw so we kicked him and 4 manned the fight.
I don’t care what he did. He could be a 11 year old kid from CoD. But if you kick a player without warning at the end of the boss, you are what is wrong with Guild Wars 2. He get to the end, he stays till the end and reap the reward. You don’t like exploits, you make it clear that you don’t want exploits or he gets kicked in the end. You don’t want him to badmouth, you make it clear that you don’t want him to badmouth you or he gets kicked when he does it again.
This is clearly a bannable offense on the guild member’s part just from hearing your story.

Or get Jon Peter to fix Ranger auto-attack so that everything including dodge, #2, #3, #4, #5 interrupts auto-attack just like every other weapons interrupts auto-attack. It is complete kitten for PvE and dungeons.

Killable children = bad for games… in general. There’s a huge ethic question that comes to mind when putting children in games, especially when the game has violence and is aimed towards teens and up.
I haven’t seen a game that let you play as kids while being rated T. Not yet at least..
Kingdom Hearts has children in the game but they can get beaten up. Yet it is rated E for everyone.
