Yes, time to roll a warrior, seems like this class always getting buff and never will be nerfed. Back in a days, people was so flaming rage, when someone post screenshots with thieves backstabs for 7-8k on underlevel or naked character, what we got? Nerf nerf nerf, on all available builds untill now. Sad, but true.

i hear u. for zergs there isnt much for thieves. ganking u can still do, but if u dont like the chees builds then ther is like almost nothing. same fore mesmers. we are veilbots for the warriors with a big lack of aoe.
the zerg with the most warriors wins.

Rangers are amazing at solo combat or in havoc squads. If you want to be a mindless drone and zerg.. er.. pvd.. it doesn’t matter what class you play. Have traps and your aoe heal for blasts and gg.

noone is talking about roaming and 1v1 here and not everyone is mindless in a larger number. so when your keep gets attacked by 40 people u will need to fight them and there isnt a 1v1 gonna happen. ranges dont have much to contribute in these sitations. maybe a glassy one can stay all the way in the back and hoping noone sneezes on him, but that it. mesmers same. we are veil bots. technically if your group wants to push out of a keep to fend off the attackers all the mesmer can contribute, is the veil near the exit and then stand back and watch the fight. rangers can maybe stand on top and shoot, but if they wanna fight with the group and push out, they will have a very bad time.

yup fa is fine we are reorganizing a lot and having a ton of fun lately. fighting t1 servers sure wasnt fun for many of us. i think all the fairweathers will come out and play when the leagues start.plus we just got more transfers of some pretty fun people so we will be fine.

It is true on my server as well. My main used to be a Ranger, now he is shelved.

yep lots of players shelved their rangers and mesmers due to the stupid meta. i still play my mes as it is my main, but i refuse to be a veilbot. i’d rather hide on an ac than being a servant for the warriors.
sadly mesmers and rangers arent viable in zergs. lots of guilds refuse to recruit anyone who is a ranger and only recruit like 3 mes for theyr veils and tw’s.

yep thieves have a lot of troll builds, but all of them involve a lot of stealth. if they are redesigning the class, then they need more hp, more survivability outside of stealth. they are a medium armor class after all. if manage to catch a thief outside of stealth, he dies quickly. in wvw where i use tormenting runes 1 block from my mes and the 5 stacks of torment nearly kill the glass cannon thief.
they can backstab u for 13k and lately ive seen very insane builds in wvw, but if u wanna redesign the class the traits need a lot of work and stealth has to be less the core of all thief builds. they are pretty much the only class that can go full glass in wvw. the permastealth thief can pretty much troll an entire keep and atm yes theives are the ultimate troll class.
actually as a mesmer i would love to see my class completely reworked. less ai, less depending on clones and shatters, less ai doing all the dmg for us, more aoe, more gw1-like mesmer skills. we are in a terrible spot in wvw atm and im sure that some thieves out there would love to get more builds and maybe even wvw zerg builds.

im on FA and we are looking forward to great fights during the leagues. we love fun fights and are not afraid of challenges. this past 2 weeks have been way more fun than the all the matchups we had with t1 as it is less zergy and we face lots of skilled players. we are not a ppt hunting server and never were. we’d rather find an awesome fight than mindless zerg a keep.

as a mesmer i would like to see a lot of changes. less ai, more mesmerlike skills and traits. a lot of our trait rely on clones and phantasms and its great for dueling but terrible in a group fight and absolutely useless in a zerg. we are doing great in spvp as our clones and pu stealth builds can be very confusing in a 1v1 situation and also in tpvp if played right.
in wvw all of that is useless. all of it.
lack of stability, lack of aoe (clones die in either 2 seconds or dont even spawn, phantasms die very quickly, shatters barely happen in a zerg as they die before they reach the target), lack of multitarget skills, confusion was nerfed so bad that 15 stacks hit less than 5 stacks of torment, glamour skills and the immortal mesmer build were the only builds that worked in zergs, but both got nerfed to the ground of the ground. since then we havent gotten anything back that helps the mesmer in wvw at all. we are only “important” to veil,tw, massinvis and boonstrip, not to fight and have fun.

guardians are are more balanced than warriors as they have to choose between dealing dmg and being more squishy or massive toughness support build. in wvw every zerg needs guardians as they provide lots of stability and boons for the entire zerg. beware the corrupt boon though as necros can destroy a guardian by turning their boons into condis.

so overall some classes do need more attention in the future and anet has to make a choice. either bring everyone up to warriors (light armor to necro) level or shave warriors and necro condibombs while reworking all the traits.
new weapons, new skills and fix the traits.
also anet please take a look at previous nerfs, before u buffed warriors and necros and check if u might reduce those nerfs a little as other classes have been improved now.
do we really need the rtl nerf still this harsh? could we boost the pets for rangers in wvw again? could we buff the mesmers confusion again(maybe add a trait that boosts confusion dmg 15-25 percent)?
do u want the warrior to be the ultimate dominating class or do u wanna add some more risk to their builds? do u wanna keep mesmers as a duelist only class, that cripples them in wvw zergs and turend our class into mindless veilbots that deal barely any dmg or do u want to tone down the duelist parts(ai) and make us a little more like the g1 mesmers?
do u wanna make thieves less trolly and give them more health and survivability without stealth or do u wanna keep them stealth depending and bursty like this?

this is a little feedback and a few suggestions about class balance in wvw and spvp
so please no flameing responses i would like to keep this constructive. this is made from my pov (i main a mesmer) and would like other people to add their feedback about how they would like to balance the current wvw and spvp balance issues:

i think anet has put a lot of work into the warriors, but given them a lot of everything without much risk for them. if u are happy with the warrior though, then the other classes have to be brought up to the same level. first off spvp and wvw balance has to be separated, what is strong in spvp, could very well be overpowered in wvw or underpowered:

rangers for example are still able to perform quite well in spvp, but in wvw guild dont want them. in wvw they are the bottom of the bottom of the bottom. their pet dies right away in a zerg. they have very little survivability in a zerg and also cant contribute much in a zerg. i’ve seen some glass cannon rangers attacking from the backline though, but the majority of guilds ask people to reroll or wont allow them in their guild.

warriors are very dominant in spvp and very op in wvw. almost everyone in wvw plays warriors. the meta there is way worse and forces u to zerg up as there is no way to counter a warriortrain if u are a group that hasnt warriors or only a few warriors. they have like nothing to fear. cc doesnt affect them as they got stability, conditions barely harms them, they got insane regen, great toughness and deal massive cc, condis and dmg all together. i would love to see other classes either being brough up to this level or maybe change it so the warrior has to choose whether to be tough and deal a little less cc and a little less dmg or deal high dmg, lots of cc and be less tough and more vunerable to condis.
would like to add that in spvp they did need buffs as they were bottom of the bottom there before, but in wvw always pretty strong.

necros very dominat in spvp and wvw. their aoe’s are very effective in wvw. they can deny an entire zerg access to a lordsroom if 5 necros put down their marks all at the chokepoint. for the enemy it goes like this: go, push in! u run through the gate and boom! massive stacks of a ton of condis hit u and u die in like 2 seconds. but the warriortrains are a pain for them too as they lack stability.

ele is in a very bad spot in spvp atm, due to long cast times, cc meta, condimeta and very often gets cornered by melee classes and condition bombs. in wvw though they are part of the meta and very strong. their aoe’s can hit like 6k a hit, they can go full glass and aoe is very important vs zergs. they also can take down every siege on walls and they are the best healers for your group.

engi is very strong in spvp if played right. in wvw still under played, because it requires skill to be a good engi( i tried it out and gotta say, it takes time to get used to an engi)

thieves are pretty strong in spvp(and people cry about this class the most), but nothing like the wvw roaming thief. i get almost 1 shot by thieves in wvw. in spvp the thieves dont just run a mile away if they are about to lose as spvp maps are more cluttered than the flat wvwv maps. 13k backstabs followed by 6-9k heartseekers with my 1900 toughness and over 2.8 k armor mesmer is a little high.
permastealth is meta there and very often u will see a thief trolling a keep with perma stealth and massive burst dmg. beware the group of 3 thieves that can easily take down 10-15 players 1 by 1.
but they lack a lot in zergs. they are mainly used for ganking people and casters in the backlines of zergs. they do need rework too as without their stealth they are wayyyyy to squishy in wvw. traitlines could use some serious rework there. shave the high backstab dmg and stealth but not without giving them more survivability outside stealth.
imo a thief out of stealth is weak. i used a block vs a thief and nearly killed him with the 5 stacks of torment. then i managed to cast an iwarden that refelcted his pistol shots and he died right away. without his stealth he would have died even quicker, so i see why thief players are very protective over their stealth….it really is the only thing they have and also the reason why they can go full glass cannon. so u cannot remove and nerf stealth just like that. they need a lot more survivablity and better traits before that can happen.

Last time I checked, those builds/playstyles weren’t written in stone. People choose to play with them because they have been proven effective or because people lack imagination to come up with their own stuff. This doesn’t mean there aren’t a million other effective builds.
-Countering Hammer Warrriors : Stability guardians, or now mantra Mesmer, perhaps
-Countering Guardians: Mesmers/Necros (for boon corruption)
-Countering Eles: Mesmers/Necros (for boon corruption)
-Countering condi Necros: Bring a shout profession (which could easily be -but doesnt have to be – your guardian that’s providing stability… two birds with one stone ). Could possibly bring a cleansing Mesmer.

I’m not sure why you’d play something if you find it boring tho…. what’s the point o.O

mantra memer? nah the radius and duration is way to little to be viable. 2 sec of stability? lolololol

countering and ele with boon corruption? we have 1 nullfield on a long cooldown and its not a counter vs eles at all.

boons yes we can remove but again we have 1 ability on a very long cooldown.

cleansing mesmer?!? what? only because we got a matra ow doesnt mesn that it is viable. mantras are hard to use and in this cc meta try to cast your mantra and btw u will have to run in the middle of the zerg in order to use its aoe as the range is 240. and again nullfield long cooldown.

i see your point, rangers/thieves team utility does kind of suck…but scouting/ninjaing things is actually very important and has bigger effect on outcome of the match/fights than you probably would think

in fact right now i am trying to make thief squad for our guild, just for scouting/slipping camps/get orbs/kill squishies in the back of zergs etc.

well a least thieves can pick and burst down the casters at the outside of the zerg. but rangers are really in a bad spot right now. i think if mesmers didnt have veil, we would be right there with them. i think all 3 classes need heavy rework in order to be good for wvw zerg environment.

thieves need less having to rely on stealth to be able to survive, less burst, but way more group abilities and move away from the ganking role.

rangers should have an option to fight without having to rely on their pet as the pet dies in like 2 seconds. they need more aoe’s and the trait system needs heavy rework as it is quite a mess right now.

mesmers need to be moved away from the duelist role. we are a light armor class and there fore need viable access to aoe’s. less ai, less dps just through phantasms, less aoe relying on clones. more gw1-like mesmer traits and skills.

pretty turned off by wvw atm myself. being a squshy veilbot for all the dominat other classes is not what i see as fun at all. mesmers are only wanted in guilds to veil and tw them. other than that we got nothing to contribute dmg wise. and rangers are not even accepted in a lot of hardcore wvw guilds. problem is our ai and also that anet “buffs” us around spvp where we both can do well or decent.

id give up all my clones and all the stupid ai for something useful for wvw.

They need to remove the cripple from the sword AA. I hope they just do it, and don’t instead make leg specialist worthless again. Nobody cares about some spammy melee range cripple.

Just relax.. they will fix leg specialist back (with 5sec internal cooldown)

The cripple on sword AA has nothing to do with this immob stacking.. its the leg specialist.

immobilize should not be part of any autoatack like this it is far too powerful. a 5 sec cooldown is not enough in this case. id say 10 and up

this need a hot fix and leg specialist needs a 10-20 sec icd. an autoattack should not have access to such a powerful cc like immobilize. in wvw u have created a terrible mess with this. i can only sit on an ac atm with my mesmer or run with the zerg, cast veil and run away.
hotfix now. warriors can knowckdown, stun and all that. how does it make sense that a heavy armor class has access to all this while light armor classes have barely any?!?

yeah immobilize is getting weird and should not be so dominant in a game. where is the fun when u cant react or block and u are just weak if u are not a warrior or guardian. this is terrible. its the same like when leg specialist worked with ac’s and locked down an entire zerg. this is frustrating and has to be fixed fast

just played some wvw and had to stop. every encounter i got chain immobilized by warriors. unable to use a single skill and just standing there while they bursted me and everyone else down.
was this intended? immobilize is a very very strong tool and should not be chainable or stackable as it prevents u from reacting or even doing anything. not sure if u guys think that this should be in a wvw environment. anyone who isnt a warrior has no chance at all if hit only once by it its over.
could u guys look into that please?

Balance Schmalance. Seriously you get these kinds of responses from A-net and yet you have people that insist on making excuses for them all day long. They don’t care what the community has to say when it comes to balance. They will make the changes they feel are fit and you will take it or leave it. They will post condescending bs tell us how to post feedback in a proper format even though they won’t use the feedback anyway. Its mind numbing really. Pointy head knows best. Not one real nerf to warriors or conditions. Adding a few hard counter abilities is not a nerf to conditions.

yeah honestly u guys went all out to nerf glamour builds in wvw to the ground, but u now u just shave which is not enough. do u honestly expect me to use a mantra now? its still bad and channeling is terrible in this spam meta. fix the necro condi spam, fix the 13 backstabs, firx the stupid regen on warriors and fix the stunlock and immobilize meta! nerf them as hard as u nerfed wvw mesmers making us veilbots instead of fighters in wvw. how about that? stop favoring warriors over everyone else.
its already the most played class. mesmer is the least played class so that should tell u something.
even if u have to completely rework the clkitten ai, less duelist(we are not a medium armor class, close combat skills dont make sense if u are light armor. look at gw1 mesmers and then u might know what u are doing wrong with this one), more aoe, more mesmer conditions, more mesmer skills., less support only kitten, less veilbots only.

Well, gw2 is an item mall game. There are lot more warriors than mesmer players, especially in WvW. Most rookie players are also irritated by mesmer. Thus it’s logical to keep the warrior player base pleased and nerf mesmers.

then just delete the class then if anet is listening to unskilled noobs. i really dont care if they nerf the spvp mesmer to the ground. maybe i can finally get a buff for my wvw mesmer then. go on anet take away all the stupid clones and stupid phantasms and give us aoe instead. we are a light armor class and light armor should have viable access to aoe. otherwise turn us into medium if u wanna keep the stupid duelist limitation up.

c’mon after months of being just a veilbot, let us have fun for a little while. being a veilbot only took away all the fun. so of course people were enjoying the bug. i kept jumping on golems in the heart of the mists for like 30 minutes, but no i didnt use it to give my team the advantage nor did i exploit it in wvw.
but for those who did, it was funny while it lasted.

For those who play mesmer; I was really hoping for more. Everything for mesmer was purely bug fixing except for the AoE stability and condition removal which will probably never see the light of day; mantra’s are still too clunky to be effective. The very minor reduction in cooldown for the scepter is noted. I for one do not see it as a big benefit there, but I would like feedback from others. Ultimately I consider Mesmer the most underwhelmingly buffed class this update. Anyone else for least buffed candidate? Rather curious.

the devs hate mesmer and are trying to make sure that we are weakest and least played class in wvw. stupid mantras with a tiny radius like that is a complete joke. i dont care about the spvp 1v1 mesmer as i play wvw only, but anet really seems to hate us. they ever just shaved our class, no they went and destroyed most of our zerg builds.
glamour was not just shaved like a stunlock warrior, no, we got nerfed to the ground of the ground.

does anet honetly think its fun to be a stupid veilbot? and a stupid weak tw bot with no access to aoe eventhough being a light armor class? do u think a 13k backstab followed by 9 k heartseeker is fun? do u think its fun to be perma immobilized and perma stunned with barely any access to stabilty?
they couldnt even give us the hp increase of clones or phantasms in wvw where we desperately needed it. how about a buff for us in wvw? we need it, but our spvp mesmer prevents us from getting anything. gg anet.

There was no balance in this patch

Just wanted to jump in and say thanks for keeping things constructive!

The idea right now is to see how the current changes impact the meta, and then do another set of balance in an upcoming patch.

The trait facts were a lot of work, but the clarity they give you guys is VERY good for you. So we wanted to see if that would shake up trait builds at all in order to see how you guys adjusted. Once THAT settles, we want to make balance changes based off the meta at that time. We didn’t want to change all the trait facts and also add in a lot of balance changes on top of it.

We still did a lot of balance stuff, but we were careful not to go overboard with this patch. Just like we learned w/ the Warrior a few updates back, sometimes the meta can undergo drastic changes even if we do VERY little to impact the balance.

We’re planning on doing another round of updates to traits for every class (either changing #‘s, shifting tiers around to make more builds viable, or doing trait reworks), and we also have our eye on a few “apex” builds. But, again we don’t want to shave those too much.

Well this confirms that you disagree with the majority of your competitive community. Most of whom quit. And people quit due to the meta. And that wasnt because “ele isnt viable nemore”. It was because every build was based on cheese, spam and brokenly powerful mechanics and synergies.

Your post confirms to anyone hoping the meta will improve that this is a completely false hope. You talk about shavings. This is ridiculous. Perma evasion/ai passive/condi spam type specs are not fun to play against.

Ever fought a stun lock warrior or an evade thief? You literally might as well not be there as a good thief will teleport back and forth from a location that you cant see or interact with (on the up and down axis). It is so frustrating and lame.

These builds shackle the meta. But they always shaft all fun in the game. This is why people quit. They dont want to play a game filled with spam and just uncounterable skills and effects.

Really. If you dont wake up to this soon…..well…it is already dead this game. It wont improve.

yeah agree with u. certain things are terrible and anet still refuses to nerf it. u nerfed glamour build to kitten. u didnt shave it or were careful, no u went and al out an nerfed it in 3 ways and destroyed it and made it non viable. but with warriors u just shaved a little bit of stunlock while buffing the stupid healing of the warriors even more.
shows me how much u hate mesmers. u couldnt even give us the 70% more health for cones/ phantasms in wvw. no its pve only.
feels like u are trying to keep the mesmers weak in wvw on purpose, because u must hat the class.

could u guys please please help mesmers in wvw in zergs? we are way too much depending on our phantasns and clones and in a zerg they die way too quick. pleas we need balance in wvw. its not fun like this. i wanna be more than just a veil bot in wvw. id rather give up some of my duelist stuff and get some viable mesmer aoe abilities and a better build variety in wvw zergs. in spvp im doing alright with my mesmer but i play mainly wvw where i face a ton of zergs every day and yes we do lack a lot in that aspect of the game.
after confusion was nerfed like this u barely see mesmers in wvw. as a lightarmor class we should have more access to aoe without clones ore phantasms…like gw1 mesmers….warriors didnt need a buff in wvw at all. they are the most played class.

Look these guys want a mesmer rework, maybe we can make suggestions to and get a better deal in the end?

Say Make Phantasmal Warlock deal eviscerate/backstab damage(13-16k) instead of 2-3k but fire off only once?.. that sounds fair right?

Thus far there hasnt been much complaint about the skills themselves, but the mesmer core mechanics ie. clones, targeting the real mesmer and all that.
(i think part of that comes with mesmers just not beeing strong in any departement BUT target denial)

What people dont get is, that mesmers without target denial are pretty much free kills. Really, to the point where you might as well just delete the class.

At any rate, play the mesmer in spvp for an hour or so, you will easily be able to figure out who is who afterwards. You will still lose target every so often, but you will reaquire it just as soon.

Offtopic: my ideal mesmer rework would be to get outsourced damage back to weapon skills, like phantasms. Just make it a burst damage skill with that weapon (or whatever). Get back that arcane duelist feeling. Tone down clones and shatters as needed (like shatters needed more of a friggen nerf).

yeah scepter block gets a buff! time to dust off my rabid armor with tormenting runes. the block saved my life quite often in the past. maybe helps with wielding off spamming thieves a little.

Constructive analysis on Ele's problems

yeah i see the problem with ele’s cast time in spvp. with the cc and interruption heavy meta it is hard to pull off an ele for sure. mesmers can go in stealth if they are on cooldown and also have shorter cooldowns. probably why i still feel ok in svpv with my mes.
in wvw the ele is much more powerful and in a way better place, but in spvp u cant kite around the zerg, but if the warrior train focuses u, there is not much u can do since all the nerfs. eles have gotten about as many nerfs as wvw mesmers did(turning us into veilbots). after all other classes have been buffed, i think its time now to take a look at those nerfs and if they are still really necessary. in wvw the ele is pretty fine and strong atm, but in spvp i dont see why certain nerfs werent reverted after other classes have been buffed.

hmm atm there is no real dueling option implemented, but is possible in spvp and wvw. if u wanna duel someone from your own server, try to find an empty spvp server, if it is someone from your current wvw matchup, go behind the mill in south camp on the borderland maps.

Pets, minions, phantasms all getting a 71% increase of health. I’m assuming this is PvE and WvW only, though they didn’t clarify (even though it was asked a several times for clarification).

hmmm in wvw that could help a lot actually as our ai skills are pretty useless in zergs. they die in like 2 hits and in the aoe heavy meta i barely see my phantasm survive long enough to actually make an impact. same with clones they barely reach the zerg to give us at least some aoe dmg.maybe we just need some serious rework…same with rangers. having to rely on ai to be strong is not a good thing in a large group fight.

rangers and mesmers are both pretty tough to fight in spvp, so most of the changes are more required for pve and wvw.

I like how each time you critic ranger in the ranger forums, you get learn to play and stop using bear bow posts.

It’s not like ranger have kittened up traits, the worst profession mechanic and the worst power scaling of all the professions in the game.

Lol they have worthless pets and give up 40% of their dps for their useless pets. I can easily 2×1 or 3×1 rangers. Poor things.

thats also the reason why their performance in wvw is quite bad. their pet dies in like 2 seconds. i’ve seen a zerg though usingglasscannon rangers nuking everyone from a safe distance.
mesmers have the same problem as their clones barely spawn and the perma blinds , perma interrupts,perma stuns and the condition bombs cripple our class a lot.
anet, i’d be happy to give up some of our dueling abilities, if u give us more aoe based sklls that are mesmer unique like we had in gw1.
every class in wvw should be as feared as a necro or a warrior.
anet has to stop balancing wvw and spvp the same way. wvw is not just about roaming and 5 people vs 5 people.

u really dont wanna buff warriors in wvw. go check your numbers of the classes played in wvw atm:

1warrior(by far)
2 guardian
3 necro
4 ele
5 thief
6 engi
7 mesmer
8 ranger

now ask why.

warrior is godmode:too much regen,too much toughness for the dps they have, too much cc, too much resistance to conditions, to much interrupting, too much of everything

guardian: too many boons, best support build, great stability, great survivability

necro: to many conditions, great dps, awesome range, great tagging, can hold back an entire zerg with marks, too much fear, great health

ele: best aoe dps, great healing support, can destroy everything on walls and behind gates

thief: too much stealth, can 3 shot almost everything and has the role in zergs to gank the caster in the back. dps is too high though.

engi is great, but very hard to play. otherwise i think he could be way higher up.

mesmer: veil, tw, portal…thats it. lack of aoe, no clear role apart form a boring utility bot. servant for the warriors

rangers: pet dies in 2 seconds…game over. u can maybe have high dps rangers in the back of the zerg nuking some people, but still recruiting guilds often state:now recruiting. need mesmers for veil, warriors, and necros. no rangers!

btw no fa is not tanking. we lost a bunch of guilds and after one of our big na guilds got bought by jq the morale kinda dropped a little and caused some smaller guilds to flee to low tiers, but we will be fine as we are getting our spirit back up….. but yes erm maguma has gotten a ton of transfers.its like double the size of our previous matchup with them.

I do know that there are a lot of folks not happy with the state of affairs over there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they bleed a little more in the next 5 days or completely go to pieces during the Season.

Also I think they got really discouraged when they pooled money together to transfer RISE over, just to have them leave for SoR just a few weeks later.

By your own admission, your server was taking a “vacation” last week. Right as your biggest competition had fallen completely apart; you had a golden opportunity to assert your place as the true T2 server.
You still had numbers during the JQ matchup with us, fielding some impressive zergs at times.
Now you are losing to Maguuma for a second week in a row, a server that has crap for nighttime numbers? Unless UA and the others have left, I feel raised eyebrows are in order.
Unless you had a large number leave last week or at the very end of the previous week, I don’t see how this current state of affairs could even happen.

I like you guys, and don’t wish ill will. However, it doesn’t look good from the outside. You’re now either a T3 server that will have a hard time with servers like Borlis Pass, or there is some sandbagging by your casuals. It’s one or the other.

u know why we lost last week. mag and sbi both focusing us. mag is stacked now its not the same server u know anymore. this week its unfortunate that cd is not strong enough to keep up with both our servers, but when they do attack its more towards us than mag. mag has become more bandwagon than ever. it doesnt matter what it looks lke from the outside. i know whats going on and the loss of 2 60 guild is not a fun thing. 60 man sea guild is gonna and 60 man na guild is gone. thats the reason why. u can thank t1 for that and the stupid leagues that is destroying servers because fairweathers wanna bandwagon to the winning servers which is kittened.
bp is not gonna beat us like that, so please could u stop makeing us look like losers? we are not. if u got questions go to our forums and read!

This page is very interesting. Selan has admitted that FA is tanking, though it’s called “vacation” (wink wink).

Also, I think everyone expected SBI to bleed off some people as they moved up and there may very well be a complete riot over there (look for a massive tanking effort) as the folks who moved there early on from DR and DH signed up to be at the top of the original Silver League and didn’t sign up for possible Gold League with only the top 6.
If SBI rolls snake eyes and gets TC or higher, there will be a last minute panicked exodus.

Likewise there will be a last minute flood to the server that looks like a lock for the top of Silver.

I think the WORST possible outcome would be FA and SoS in Gold League. SBI will superstack, snore through leagues, and will have ungodly momentum at the end of the first season; right as the T2 servers will still be shaky on their feet (FA is looking very unstable and TC is even looking a bit wobbly) we might even see TC or FA lose people at the end of the season (a lot of folks on TC have gotten soft on 4 out of 5 matches being against lower ranked servers; though they have a pretty loyal core).

never admitted that and never said that. after the terrible matchup with jq and the loss of some of our guilds we were demoralized. i saw a lot less people logging in after that and they are still on fa. so yeah we needed break. our core guilds are still there and we still stay strong.

Looks like FA are determined to tank their way into the top of the silver league. It’s disappointing to see such obvious match manipulation take place in the week’s preceding the beginning of leagues.

The current T1 and T2 matches are an example of what almost every week of the gold league will look like. You can’t really blame a server for tanking their way out of it.

Players that bandwagon to T1 servers don’t deserve match variety and players outside of T1 deserver better than seven weeks of garbage match ups.

I’m confident there would be blow outs if any of the current gold league contenders ended up in silver league, but I’m also confident there will be at least one or two match ups that are competitive. For any of the T2 servers in gold league that’s guaranteed not to happen.

ermm we lost a major na guild to jq that bought them from us, then we lost a bunch of other guilds and morale is still low. before accusing us of kitten tanking. if u were on fa u would know that eventhough 7 weeks vs t1 will be terrible, we are not the tanking kinda server. sbi has become a bandwagon server like kaining and mag has gotten a ton of transfers and is turning into a bandwagon too.
u dont wanna believe us? go fight t1 for 3-5 weeks and u will see how your guilds get bought and then the server starts dropping, because the morale drops with it. doesent mean that fa will give up or lose more guilds. it actually strenghtens our community now more than ever. if we drop to silver league, oh well at least good fights, if we stay in gold….. bring it on!

Please post videos of your gameplay, so we can see how truly OP all those other classes are. I’d be particularly interested to watch your Ele and Thief.

i do have an ele which i havent played for a year, and i have not thief. i play mesmer only. if u would have read my port u would know that and btw im talking wvw zerg fighting not roaming which i also clearly stated in earlier posts.
and btw i didnt say guardian was op or necro. necro is very very strong and on the edge of op, but warriors eat through everything, including necros.
