FWIW I also tested this a couple days ago (in PvP) with a minipet stowed and out, saw no change.

Btw, the runes seem to not work with illlusions anymore.
If you have trouble fighting them with those weapons, then try to fight mock duels with friends on those classes because you SHOULD be able to win against them if played well.

with the amounts of blocks/blinds/aegis/invulerability i can poop out on my guardian landing a backstab on me would become a significant challange and i only need to land 1 spin and get some retal up to poop on the thief, yeah sounds balanced xd
Just because a meditation guardian is broken as hell and can eat any other zerker (and most other things) alive, does not mean that the issue at hand is balanced.
Or you could decide which race you want to play upon character creation and then play it.

It’s really not about being able to play against thieves, it’s about the fact that an attempted attack at someone should break stealth.
Still, a thief attacking from stealth… you block it (either because you anticipated it or just by chance) and you get a “blocked” message, the thief stays in stealth (makes no sense at this point since the attack should have canceled stealth) and they can just attack again.
The attack should remove stealth does not matter if it missed or was blocked or anything, as long as it was an attack targeted at someone and you weren’t just smacking thin air.
Race change: unequip gear from char>log out to char select>delete char>make new different race>use tomes (or level up)>equip gear… done

Because those NPCs don’t “ruin the immersion in cutscenes” (since they are not present in them). On the other hand, those who complained about this are just a bunch of hypocrites as they seem to have no problems with immersion when minis are present in cutscenes or when you are transformed into a dolyak/quaggan/etc. in cutscenes.
For crying out loud, it’s been months and nothing has happened. Just do what many have suggested/asked for and put the idle animations back. I’m pretty sure that not a single person is going to complain about their immersion being broken or whatever and you will make a lot of players happy.
They seem to be set lower than they were before, thus they are obstructed since they are literally halfway buried in the ground.
At this point in time, I doubt it will ever be resolved. For sure it wont happen again, but playing devils advocate why would they spend developer time and effort on something that affects only a small (and dwindling) number of players?
I don’t know if it will be resolved (it should be), but are you implying that there aren’t many GW1 players playing GW2? Because i have seen quite a lot actually.
Also, Arenanet tends to fix things on some arbitrary basis, sometimes it’s enough if only one person says something and they do it, other times even a big uproar remains unheeded.
Um honestly when I equipt a weapon in the “Right hand” I expect the weapon to be there….I dont get all ichi but I get annoyed that its not where I put it, I often have to remind myself that GW2 isnt hat its cracked up to be.

To be fair, in GW1 most dungeons were done using some kind of Shadow Form build to skip all the levels until you got to the end boss, fought the boss, got the final chest, rinse, repeat.

That is exactly why the thief kept hunting you down, it’s their job to prevent you from doing yours. It’s a team game after all and as a necro (or mesmer, or a power ranger) you can wreak some serious havoc that is why teams should never let you freecast and your team should always provide you with coverage to do your job.
Honey, I am quite familiar with the role of a Thief in conquest – however it seeking a 1v1 against a Necro is not something I would advise
I am also familiar the damage the Lowtier-Trio can achieve, especially in coordinated teams (I mean, the French team, 55HP Monks, Dankening and TCG are a testament to that) – but what is not quite alright is their heavy input to survive as compared to most classes, which is why I joked about the Necromancer’s downedstate
Also believe it or not, but you can nullify the efforts of any of these three classes by minor coordinations and big fights… What is shocking is that this trio only do well in fights where they +1 to get the fight over quickly, which is a role that is not solely reserved to these three – and you see this role being overtaken by a DPS Guardian sometimes as well, which has debatably more sustain…
I was under the impression that The Gates Assassin was hunted relentlessly by a thief, and since he didn’t point out a 1v1, it could have been a situation where the thief just didn’t want him to be able to put pressure on his team.
Wait a second. Now we are congratulating them for fixing quickly what they broke?
It took them mere days to fix these bugs yet there are hundreds of reported bugs that they just cannot fix because of lack of manpower? They have a totally inept (or non-existing) QA team so we get to test run every patch. That seems to be their m.o.
Patching these bugs is the very least we can expect.
Yeah i know everyone is on the “you are entitled if you expect no bugs” train lately. But let me ask, how can they delay a patch by almost a week claiming it needs more testing and then release a trainwreck like this? The HoM bug, the voices from across the map, and i don’t know how many more. Most of these would never pass a QA test because if a tester is in a zone for a few minutes, they WILL hear the random voices unless the test never took place.
But let’s sit in a circle, hold hands, sing kumbaya and praise ANet for trying to salvage what’s left of their reputation.
I have never complained about these things before because of the same old reasons: no software is bug free, no patch is bug free, they cannot test it on every PC, the sunflare activity was way too strong during patching, Colin’s dog ate the balance team’s proposal so they had to improvise… etc.
But if you start patting them on then back for releasing a buggy pile of code and then hotfixing, then all i can think of is the stockholm syndrome.

I remember I was on a fight on Foefire and I put my wurm on up the high ledge. Not the one near the side points, the one that’s in timbucktoo near the gates of your based. A thief chased after me, so I tried to pressure him off, but he just kept blind spamming me and dodging my transfers. So I teleported away (with almost no health left) and healed back up. Then I saw him teleport up to me, so I spectral walked off the cliff to try to lose him. Then I spectral walked back onto the high ledge AND HE KEPT FOLLOWING ME. I died.
I’ve never seen any class more hunted than the necromancer. If the other team even smells me, they’ll follow me to Lion’s Arch to hunt me down. Not out of fear of my power, but because they know focus will take me down.
Does anyone else have the same issue on necromancer?
It is about a different level of play when it comes to Necromancer…
Some people here are stuck in ELO-Hell or just have a low-MMR, and feel as if Necromancer is a wall they cannot overcome, or feel overpowered playing one…
Which is somewhat right – if yours or the enemy team cannot pin down a Necro, he will have a field day – but this is no different from Mesmer or Power Ranger to an extend, as all the classes are the scariest when left untouched. This is also why people who cannot fathom these classes will always complain about them…However, facing against people who are more confident in their roles, and understand their professions and the enemies’, you will suddenly find out the flaws that these professions have – of which the Necro’s is sustain and escapability… Suddenly, 2 health pools with big numbers become impossible to maintain, and you will find yourself calling out for help while being downed more than you want to…
Fear not though, Poweer Necro’s downedstate is incredibly powerful

I’m not using any titles on my chars until this is resolved for exactly the reason you mentioned, and that’s just sad.
If they come down to banning? I will be done with this game officially…some of us who wanted to make new char didn’t know this until after tutorial
this mistake is on them not on the players. I worked just as hard in this game like everyone else has & if they we’re to take this away fro me? I will be torn! I know it’s only a game, but I accomplished a lot including working hard to own a legendary & my only legendary…I know I sound like I’m being a baby, but it will not be fair to punish us who didn’t know this until afterwards :’(

The problem is, that’s exactly how everyone who has played GW1 and got their GWAMM and HoM points the proper way feels when they know that anyone who wears that title could have gotten it just by coming out of the tutorial.
Obviously the fault is with ANet and they should not ban anyone, but they should remove all the titles and AP from those who got these due to the bug or they will have to deal with similar posts from veterans that are just not going to buy their expansion or anything from them and just move on to other games.
Like Malediktus pointed out, they could remove the APs without handing out chests twice (like back with the miniature collector or later with the black lion collections) so this is possible and has to be done.
Anet did NOT say “the game has NO grind at all” they know there is ( they made the game. lol) however, they said you don’t have to do it.
I did not read the whole thing but here are my thoughts on this topic in general:
the reason they took WvW map completion from the 100% world completion is because many servers are stuck vs way stronger servers, and never get a chance to do the WvW map completion, so that’s not something they are changing about the ‘Grind’ in the game rather its a fix for a problem.take away the grind and make the game grind free!, everyone get dungeon master because they played the dungeon once and just for playing the game for 100 hours lets give you a legendary(that a grind for hours though) and lets not reward players who played the game days in and days out and invested many hours of game play and make em just like everyone who played the game for 3 days and quit, no more special skins for fractal grinders who played them for 100’s of hours to get that lame underwater skin that no one ever see and make it once you play an underwater fractal you automatically get the skin, and once you finish all fractals you get the fractal tonic that only a hand full of players have ATM, and once you kill a player in WvW you get the “ultimate dominator” title and kill a player in PvP and get dragon rank and finisher, I think you know where im going with this.

Did you pay attention to what I was talking about? if the AP’s are taken, they’ll get them back (probably through dailies) in 5-40 days, and get a second reward chest. Say they hit the 10000 AP chest with this bug. They got 400 gems, laurels, 30 gold, a bunch of karma, total makeover kit, an instant level 20 scroll, all sorts of things. They then spent that 30g, the laurels, the gems, etc. You set them back to 9600 AP, in 40 days, They’ll get that 30 gold, 400 gems, 10 laurels all over again.
I paid attention and to be frank, i don’t care about technical possibilities or if every anet employee has to sit there for a week manually checking and rolling back, but this has to be fixed for the reasons that others before me mentioned.
This should never even have happened in the first place and after all of the mess-ups that anet did where i just shrugged and said that “well, they made a mistake, to err is human” i cannot really tolerate this one.
So you want those people to get double AP chests. Good thinking!

So your solution is that everybody who has gotten those things the proper way should just suck it up and smile because there is no perfect solution? Dunno if was already posted. Did a frac 49 run today. Turrets in turret room of thaumanova fractal don’t work anymore. Projectile seems to explode right on top of it.
Same at 50. I can walk freely in the room without the shield.
Also, east room (save 4 asurans) now gives boss the debuff properly. The panel room is still open before saving all asurans. I don’t know what happen if we don’t save them.
I don’t know if it indeed gives bonus damage neither.
The asura bonus buff was there in the previous patch already.
It has to be fixed. I know they don’t care about it but it’s a terrible business practice to kitten off your loyal customers.
I am usually very forgiving when it comes to bugs but this thing kittens me off. I have played GW1 for a long time and i know, i did not play it to have something to show off in GW2, but still… i have actually earned those titles (as have many other GW1 players) and now people who did not even see GW1 can have the same?
I don’t care what others have – as long as they have earned it, i’m happy for them – but giving these GW1-related things for free due to a bug? Anet has to remove those titles that were given. Period.
I tested it on this account and this bug has been fixed now. Idk if people got their achievements rolled back or not though.
Would be nice to have a red post confirm that they have rolled back the achievements and especially the titles for those who got them.

Please stop complaining about grind when there is none. You can get anything you would ever want in the game by doing whatever you feel like doing at that particular moment. It might take longer than the “optimal” method but you WILL get there eventually.
The one thing you have to change is your attitude. Don’t look at XY shiny you want to get and don’t check how much gold you still need to get it. Just play the game for fun, don’t do stuff you don’t remotely enjoy. One day you’ll notice you can afford that shiny and you will enjoy having it even more because you did not grind for it.
Nobody should be banned, the whole title/AP thing just has to be removed for those who got it this way. That’s it, no bans or lost gems due to rollback.
I don’t know if anet devs understand the gravity of this situation. This has to be fixed, titles given out have to be removed and AP as well. Preferably right now.
Recently i found some screenshots with this and i can not fathom why this had to be removed or why it’s so hard to just re-enable it? Just do it, you could give free GW1 titles to people so i trust in you to be able to give these back.
Considering the best titles in GW2 come from GW1, they have to fix this as soon as possible. And revert those titles for those who got them without having earned them.
This needs fixing. I hope anet realises just how bad it would be if people would get the gw1 titles and the points for free. Just no.
In fractals you really only need reflect skills on harpy one which 7 out 8 classes can do people seem to forget that they think its only guardian.
So you are running the swamp, dredge, molten facility, molten duo, grawl, frozen, ascalon fractals without reflects? Well done.
Oh, okay. lol I didn’t realize there are many trains left in the game. The only one that comes to mind atm is the Frostgorge Champ train.
Silverwaste, you have to logout and in a few times to get one or use group finder, but that is usually empty for myself.
The world boss train is still run too.
People grinding using the boss train, frostgorge champ train, EotM train and Silverwaist train. This mainly to be able to buy the (not required) items they want. But people who complain about the game being grindy are out of their mind, there is no grind because there are multiple choices of grind so all the grind does not count as grind.

Your whole argument makes no sense. Why do people “grind” those trains if they feel like that is a grind (i’m assuming grind is a negative thing)? Are you saying that everybody who runs dungeons or joins a train finds the activity really boring and is just generally upset at the grind all the time?
For that matter, people who spend hours in WvW could be accused of grinding too, yet they would probably say they had fun fighting for their realm.
Or pvpers who play two dozen matches in a row, are they grinding too? They are doing the same thing over and over again.
Maybe if you play a game just to get some shiny, you shouldn’t be playing games at all or just buy gems, convert to gold and buy stuff.
It’s really amazing how some people are.
It’s not an expansion if it does not have ALL of these:
- new races
- new dungeons
- new skills
- new classes
- new armors
- new weapons
- new game modes
It does not matter if it has some or most things on the list, as long as it does not have every last item, it’s not an expansion and we have to come up with conspiracy theories.

No. Also to everyone who thinks that combat is stale, you can complete most dungeons using one single build, camping the same weapon (attunement if ele) that is true. But once you actually start swapping traits and utilities before going into the next encounter you will see how much more you can do if you think and not just roll your face on the keyboard.
Dungeons are not easy, some people just happen to know when to use the right skill. Try running dungeons without key “support” things like reflects, condition removal, aegis, blinds (not spammed blindly but at the right time).
If you didn’t enjoy artificial gating at low levels (minimum level for personal story) I have some great news for you!
Arenanet completely revamped the levelling process! Making all skills quick and easy to obtain, removing all artificial gates, awarding skill points more often and allowing access to every part of the game to a brand new player!
Just kidding. They did the opposite.
New players unlock weapon swapping at level 10 or so, can’t access most of their skills until level 30, and get their elite slot at 60! Also you don’t start with downed state, so what happens when you die at a low level? You just drop.
Also don’t get any ideas about doing pvp before your designated pvp level. Or using class abilities (this means attunements too! I hope you like playing on only fire
)
