We did actually discuss that at one point. But never got round to using it. Anyway we already have ideas to do most of it completely different.
Hey guys. Just thought id post this here for those of you who dont check gwscr that often. We beat the previous record by 42 seconds and we can definitely go faster. Enjoy. ^^

kill the stationary pve mob….
Elitist.
Yeah its quite a bit longer to do. And well in the case of path 4. I dont think anyone sells that more than once or twice per day because even when skipping it takes quite a long time to do solo/duo. And finding buyers can take more time than actually running it.
You might have an arguement for ac. But arah sellers tend to not repeat the paths that often in a single day. There is a minor time difference in dungeon completion when using certain exploits. In fact the underwater skip in arah path 2 and the lupi skip take longer than actually doing it legit. :/
A channel skill like whirling wrath would be nice.
I wouldnt mind withering precision if the icd was per target instead of just one global icd. It would still be pretty weak for a grandmaster though.
They always want cleric guardians though.
As the real best warrior in the game, I’d also like to point out that Warlord doesnt know what hes talking about.
The issue is that anet is incompetant at fixing exploits. I cannot believe they havent realized that invisible walls dont work. You cannot blame players for abusing something you have failed to fix beyond count. The entire map of arah is a huge jumping puzzle and its actually pretty fun to explore. To stop exploiters using this to their advantage they need to fix boss and reward triggers… Skipping lupi and several bosses in p3/p4 is the real issue here, not the actual skips.
Cmon guys be realistic. Just make them do lvl 10 and im sure they will realise it needs fixing.
But I buy gems. :<
I started to reply to you specifically when your argument was basically LTP. What is a tank in GW2? Mobs generally aggro the player who has the most toughness in the party. And since generally that is not you it will be someone else.
Thats a myth.
As wethospu said most can be done with certain tricks. But for general with 4 players you can do every path except cof p1 and TA aether.
Pray to the RNG god.
Sorry for the tardiness, but in conclusion of the current polling period, here are the results.
Do any of them surprise you?
Do you disagree with any of them?51% think that Full of life is Alright or Great
51% think that Mark of Evasion is Alright or Great
36% think Blood to Power is Alright or GreatO_o
Yeah I did find it strange to see so many “alright”. The entire line is subpar or terrible. The only thing that isnt is ritual mastery but that could probably be moved to the adept position or moved to another tree. Life siphon traits are good concepts but they are a bit too weak most of the time (subpar). Id like to see bloodthirst removed and all siphons brought up to do more healing and slightly more damage as base.
You dont have any pristine relics for ascended rings?
For sigils I would recommend scepter with either sigil of bursting. For offhand dagger you might want to get 2 and have 1 with condi duration or sigil of earth and then have the other with an energy sigil for more difficult content. Staff can have bursting or energy sigil.
Also if you are going to stack corruption. Then get another scepter and dagger so you can double stack and get those max corruption stacks with only 13 mobs then switch to your regular set.
I have all classes at 80 except ranger. And yeah im still amazed at how far behind the quality of necro traits is compared to every single other class.
Meh if you die of boredom then it surely needs work.
Agreed. I was just going off what I think is right. But there are so many variables to consider. Its a nightmare.
I would also pick the rampager weapons personally. And I was more considering this for dungeons or small groups. In zergs its going to be demolished pretty quickly. The only time it would be ok is in husk defense squads on wurm. And for those I think more condition damage and more regular epidemics is better than some extra condition duration.
Now thats curious.
So they said back in development that champs would get new AoE skills as there are more players. So when is that happening?
It happened in the queens gauntlet. But those champs couldnt fail and people just ran back to them from the nearby waypoint. I did see entire zergs pretty much wipe on the centaur boss though.
You would be better off with this setup.
SoV and signet mastery when dealing with husks. And obviously use power food when hitting structures. But ideally you should swap to another gear set and different weapons for structures anyway.

Hmmm. Ive been playing the game since release and am only rank 8. Zerging isnt fun and i get bored of small group roaming aswell. Even so i feel like ive played a fair amount of wvw considering. Rank 30 seems unrealistic to me especially as i find the gametype incredibly mind numbing and boring. I suppose its not too much of an issue personally because I have one gift in the bank and Im not even really going for another leggie at the moment.
It does bother me that anet are forcing players to play more content they dont like. I already have a gripe about them forcing us to zerg world events for dragonite….
Ive been looking into optimal condimancer recently. If going for carrion armour with rabid trinkets and weapons. Would you go undead runes or still go for scavenging?
Edit: Seems with a mix of carrion and rabid. Scavenging is still better. Best combo i found was carrion weapons and armour with rabid trinkets. But if you want to gain 4% direct damage in exchange for 2% less condi damage then you should use rampager weapons.

CC?
But zerker stackers just stack and auto attack. We dont have control builds so we cant cc.
Yeah they need to make champ damage and aoe cap scale up. Just scaling up health doesnt cut it. I want to see those champ train tears.
We could end up spending loads of gold either way.
Only way to make zergs less likely is to remove siege and forts.
No, we dont know how its going to scale. I just used that as an example to show how assassin is affected more than beserker no matter what the actual scaling is.
Anyway if we go by a their stated 10% overall damage reduction to beserker then they need to remove about 30% critical damage from beserker builds. Which is huge. :P
That’ll give us Destiny’s Edge v2.0 with a golemancer, ranger, warrior, mesmer, and thief.
golemancer, ranger, guardian, mesmer and necromancer.*
Im not quite getting the point you are trying to make. Can you make it clearer?
It wont be anything to do with zhaitan. The living story is meant to be seperate from your personal story progress. So tequatl is stronger even if you havent beaten zhaitan on a certain character yet.
Obviously its something to do with the ley lines. Tequatl somehow tapped into the magic in the ley lines and got stronger. Most likely an unintentional side effect of what Scarlet is trying to do (whatever that may be).
Effective Power = Power * ( 1 + crit chance * ( crit dmg + 0.5) ) * dmg multiplier
crit chance = round down ( ( precision – 822 ) / 21 )
Beserker gives 315 power, 224 precision and 16% crit damage currently.
Assassins gives 224 power, 315 precision and 16% crit damage currently.
Base power and precision is 916.
We are going to ignore traits, trinkets, runes and sigils so there is no damage multiplier (it would be equal to 1).
Lets say ferocity change results in 10% less crit damage.
For beserker we get EP = 1231 * ( 1 + 0.15 * ( 0.16 + 0.5)) = 1352.869
With the nerf we get EP = 1231 * ( 1 + 0.15 * ( 0.06 + 0.5)) = 1334.404
So beserker does 1.36% less damage after the change.
For assassins we get EP = 1140 * ( 1 + 0.19 * ( 0.16 + 0.5)) = 1282.956
With the nerf we get EP = 1140 * ( 1 + 0.19 * ( 0.06 + 0.5)) = 1261.296
So assassins does 1.69% less damage after the change.
If you include traits, trinkets, runes and buffs the difference would be widened and we would also have a larger damage loss on both sets. I just used the gear plus base values for simplicity.
PS. The attack power stat in your hero panel is meaningless. It is not used to calculate damage ingame. I have no idea why they added it in the first place.

Alright ill do an effective power calc.
You’re missing the mark. Crit damage depends on crits to be utilized. So with less crit damage the extra critical hits become less beneficial than the extra power. Beserker will lose lets say 10% damage. But assassins will lose more because its designed to rely on critical hits and critical damage to achieve its damage. Critical damage is tied together with precision so the crit dmg nerf has a bigger impact on gear which uses more precision. Im not sure how i can explain it any better than that.
Its still a needed change imo. But it will be making my assassin pieces on warrior subpar and thats something im not happy about. Seeing as I only made 3 assassin pieces to be optimal.
(edited by spoj.9672)
Sex sells. Putting a male gay relationship in the game would be less popular. Its that simple.
Both sets are hideous. I see no problem here.
If im not mistaken. Everyone thinks their favourite class is nerfed the most. Bias is op.
At the moment I would suggest ranger runes if you dont want to spend so much on scholar.
Sigils go on weapons. Scholar and ranger are runes. Sigil of strength is pretty weak on almost every class, stick to force/night/slaying sigils.
Pretty sure my ele has all those at the same time. :P
Except glyph of renewal. No need for that.
So yea, after some thinking, I couldn’t come up with a reason why the ferocity change should hit any precision based prefix harder than berserker. The math provided by Deceiver doesn’t really nail it for me.
Could somebody explain to me why this should be the case? (indepth math preferred)
Think of it logically. Best example is assassin gear. If you are trying to maximise dps and lets assume assassin and beserker are about equal at the moment. If you reduce the crit damage on both which has a greater loss in dps? Obviously it is the gear which relies on crits more. Beserker doesnt get hit as hard because power scales up your damage when critting or not critting. But for heavy precision gear the idea is too maximise crit chance to utilitize that crit damage as much as possible. With lower crit damage, maxing precision becomes much less beneficial compared to boosting power.
Essentially with lower crit damage, precision is weighted as less important and power remains unchanged.
Nike also explains it in this video: http://youtu.be/AYX4f5pehSU

Awaiting the nerf to it working on husks in the wurm event.
Won’t happen because it doesn’t get used there. You need the cleanse and heal from Consume Conditions instead.
That and very few bother with the wurm events.
TTS, TxS and Deso used that actually… a lot… well in the fist 2 cases there are like max 5-12 necros and 4-9 are condi and refuse to slot it in…
Yeah ive been on some attempts with deso and fsp and both times when running in the condi defense groups i slotted it because consume wasnt really helping much anyway. The amount of times poison gets reapplied to you and the amount of other damage sources makes any heal pretty worthless in that fight for actual sustain. You survive more from avoiding damage and relying on blast finishers in water fields. So SoV is best choice for necros on wurm event.
Just check effective power on buildcraft. No need to calc it manually yourself. If some traits and modifiers dont work properly on buildcraft it allows you to input extra modifiers and stats if needed.
We shouldnt be asking for a change in auto attacks. Thats unrealistic. We should just be asking for the next weapon we get to be a cleave auto attack.
Won’t the next weap be a melee ranged pistol that dose condi/bleed dam to a single target?
Im guessing you are trying to be funny. But im not getting it. :P
