I have tested the GS Dhumfire condie reaper. and i will admit its pretty fun. It is a melee based rotation.

I got the same Damage out put running the standard Curses Blood reaper

that being said. I think they both work reasonably well and can be used Boss to Boss depending.
However bottom line is that its still miles behind other condition classes.

That being said. I still love my reaper. But yes i love it enough to know when i need to bring something else for the benefit of the group I am playing in.

Guard/DH Greatsword got some serious love this patch, it should be extremely competitive.

But yes Hammer is still really good.

Dragon Hunter in General is super viable and has several options going for it.

I main Reaper.

I love my power reaper so much that i know i need to put it on the shelf for the betterment of the group I run with. And since I am either Pugging, or leading training runs. I file roles that are needed.
and Reaper is just not needed currently.

We have no problems with players using a 3rd party tool whose scope is only to collect and visualize combat data gathered directly from the game client. Anything beyond that scope is still considered a violation of the User Agreement.

here is how i got the majority of my boss kills.

Searched LFG for groups doing runs. that have requirements that I know I can meet.
Joined said groups.
after intial introduction if there was a voice chat listed i would contact the comander of the group via whisper and inform them of hearing situation.

At this point it is all on you. You need to preform to an expectation that is greater than the average PuG. And be willing to Stand down or move on without question should the group feel it is not working.

I, personally, would even go as far as messaging the comander after leaving the group thanking them for their time. and wishing them luck on the future. regardless if it was a “kick” or kill.

to answer you original question is it possible? yes, does it happen? yes, often.
Just like any other requirement that a group asks for, either meet the expectations of the group. or set up your own.

Sloth, I dunno that it matters overmuch tbh since u can still cleave adds long as they get pulled in. It’s not ur job to pull in mobs. Also I take shroom as ps so I’m not rly useful there except for banners and stuff

If you eat shrooms as warrior then your group doesnt get your banners and ea, but you are actually buffing the boss.

You can get 2 Jagged Horrors from death nova if you time the procs right. Totaling 15 maximum every 3 min or so.

it may seem silly but meh,

You have an infinite potion. meaning you do not have to buy it again. just refresh it every time you start a new level. Its not like you have to spread your usage out for monetary reasons.

Don’t get me wrong maybe having a 1 hour duration would be nice but meh, just pop it when you start a new shard while you are waiting for everyone to load into the run?

4 slots in rings. 36 AR
2 slots in accessories. 18 Ar ( 54 running total)
1 slot in Back, 9AR (63)
6 armor slots, 54AR (117)
2 slots in weapons, 18 (135)

you cannot count your weapons as 4 slots. because you only have two slot equipped at any one time. Your swap set does not count to your total.

at one point the channeled skills would in fact lose target upon the entering of stealth etc.

it was adjusted some time ago so that channeled skills such as rapid fire, ghastly claws and other skills would in fact follow target to the channels completion regardless. As long as the channel was started before the target entered stealth.

What you are complaining about was actually implemented to do exactly what its doing intentionally, approximately 2 some odd years ago.

Worth a read,
Some of the information is slightly out of date due to the most recent patch. But the base is very solid.

Notable patch things:
Tempest with Staff is still top dog damage wise as long as you have at least a mid size or larger hitbox.
Dagger / warhorn/focus Tempest got trimed more than we would probably like it to be but still very good. opening up the slot for thief.
Thief / Daredevil Competes extremely well with damage on mid to small hit boxes and simple rotations. Staff AND Dagger/Dagger are both good.
Guardian having always been good just slow on the “pugmeta” uptake edged up a bit and has 3 weapon builds that are all competitive.
Everything else is around the same, But Testing is being done on Power Engineer as it potentially may be competitive Damage.

Bottom line.
When building a raid team, make sure your buffs are covered. Might, Fury, Quickness, Grace of the land, ETC. (Chrono, Warior, Herald, Druid)
and fill in the extras with anything you like. Almost every class has at least 1 to 2 dps/utility builds to raid with

I actually started being designated poison bloom killer on some of the runs i was in. As a reaper it made me giggle as i watched the stacks add up and transfer makes me happy.

personal suggestion and idea.

assuming that you are starting from essentially scratch.

first:

try to get in touch with a few of these people, Establish some kind of dialog with them and they can help in many of the difficulties surrounding “getting in”

second:
Get yourself a Ranger. (if you don’t already have one)
Set your reward track in PvP to Ascalonian Catacombs. and grind the hell out of it. you are looking to outfit yourself in a complet medium armour set with the stat prefix of “magi” being Healing power, Vitality, precision.
the armour you get for the tracks and spending some of the tokens you get for doing the track will net you a set of Magi armour with “monk” runes. You want to have at least 1 staff as well. You will need to do the track multiple times. but it is essentially gearing you for free. If you need to "unlock’ the track, hit some of us in game and we can drag you through story mode to get it unlocked for you.

Third:
Take your Ranger and get him to 80, and run to the orrian temple of Dwayna in Malchors leap. That temple has the “magi” based trinkets available for karma. get your set and you are now Geared. Don’t worry about ascended for this particular thing,

Forth,
Into the Jungle you go and get your Elite Spec taken care of and become a druid.

Now, you have an outfitted, “Meta” class and set up to be able to at least Get into raiding. All for the low price and some karma, and your time.

I Still STRONGLY suggest getting in touch with some of the raiding teaching guilds. And/or convince a bunch of your friends to form a raid group together. If you have the contacts with the guilds, get with them and run with them as often as you can and help them help you. and have them help you expand your knowledge and you help them by being enthusiastic about being a part of the group.

If you get a bunch of your friends. together and you are going to progress through as a group. outstanding, Come back here with that in mind and restate the questions and let the community help you any way we can.
