then Necromancer would have a spot in the Dungeon Meta.

Thank you Very Much Bhawb for even doing this. You have always done a good job of being a “voice” for the Necro community for as long as you have.

I can completely appreciate the reality of getting burned out or just having lack of things to talk about. Yes you are right in that we have not really changed much in 2 years. but many of us are still here in some fashion or another.

Perhaps just poke around and chat and just see what the Necromancers in the community are doing now. Be it Dungeon Runs with all Necro parties. Or Chatting with Obal and DnT about their 5 of one class Lupi Speed kills. Talk with The names in the WvW Necromancer community, Such as Methane Gas, or Choxie. Chat with Holts, Google Brandon, and Infect.

There is an influx of new players. as their will always be. and some of this stuff is new to them.

If you need to space the casts out more often then do so. just keep playing YOUR game, and collect stuff that is interesting and fun and then you can share it with the rest of us as we go along

I would suggest now that we have at least one to two groups on both sides of the pond, Just use this or start a new thread for announcing a time and day for get togethers.

pick a time. Sign a team. and get yerselves into the team q. practice as we go.

When my 60 year old mother, Playing her very first MMO, on her very first computer.

has 5 world completions in less than a year and working on her 6th.

I apologize but I tend to not take these kind of complaints seriously.

My time table is not quite “normal” as I generally Tend to play after midnight NA,

i think advertising in a manner of speaking is at fault somewhat as well.

The forums only reach so many people.

And of course all of the Whiners and complainers even IN the forums that cry that dungeons are too easy are probably frightened of participating.

Had my chosen career Not force me to work nights and weekends. I would have tried to get a team together. Or at least put myself out to hopefully have someone pick me up. Would i have a chance to actually win? realistically I do not know. But regardless i am sure as hell gonna have some serious fun trying.

Ascended is about a 5 percent increase in stats in level 80 zones.

You dont have to have ascended armor or weapons to do high level fractals. ( I do them in Exotics All of My AR is on my trinkets. )
Many of my characters have ascended Gear, and it did not cost me anything other than time. And I dont “farm” . But that is probably why I Only have part of my gear. and not all of it. (shrug) meh

Necromancer is Strong in every game mode.

it is to specifically taunt me as i solo on my necromancer and manage to make the spider run but miss a dodge on Abom and so i get to practice the spider run all over again…

they changed it a long time ago, I believe in effort to do some kind of “invisible wall” for path exploiters.

no idea why.

Just a thought.

Siege has a timer on it. Of which in some cases has been frustrating of defenders that have the thankless job of spending their play time sitting in a keep “ticking” siege. Those of you that do that, thank you!

what if.
At the time that Siege is despawned say.. 50 to 75 percent (or 100?? ) of the supply used to create said siege returns to the nearest supply drop. Such as if you created it in a Keep. it despawns because you missed the tick, the supply returns to the keep stockpile. If for whatever reason you lost the fort. and the opposing faction didn’t break the stuff it returns to the nearest camp you control.

What does that accomplish?
pointless siege will only be pointless for a short time. before the supply is returned to usable.

does it actually resolve a siege troll issue? I don’t think so. but it will at least offer some respite for the lost supply?

(( just a though might be worth discussing. i am short on time so i apologise if it does not make any sense? ))

if i remember correctly.

AetherPath requires 5 at one point. (of which you have already discovered.)
Crucible of Eternity requires 4 for Lazer trap.
Citadel of flame path 1 requires 5 for flame Brazier room.
Citadel of flame Path 3 requires 3 for Lake of fire torches
Arah Story requires 2 for first gate lock.
Arah path 1 requires 4 for Shoggoth
(there might be more but those are what I could remember off the top of my head.)

Beyond those specific traps/rooms/encounters. everything is soloable.

Dungeons and Instanced content Such as raids and the like are on hold/not being developed for a duration unknown. And yes we can provide an actual source for this information but you only need to look into the first page of this sub forum to find it.

World of Warcraft Raid content was rather good. The reason it was constantly being developed and run is because that is all World of Warcraft is. Outside of the Instanced content World of Warcraft had nothing. unless you really want to count fetch quests as engaging. So while they do in fact have “good” raids, That is all they had.

Wildstar offered some decent options from what I have heard. But Even some of the top tier guilds from here and other places have left that game. I do not have the first hand knowledge of why. or what was not working about Wild star. But in the grand scheme it really doesnt matter.

Raid Content whether you want to think it is or not, Is very “Gated” or “niche”. Believe me I would really love to have more of it, as would many people here. But the Reality is that They do take time and effort to implement. and for a very small faction of the player base.

It was Hard enough in many regards to even get a 5 man instance. I am not exactly enthused about trying to get a 10 man or even 15.

Will you actually get a “red post” concerning this? most likely not as they have already answered the question.

Do I personally want more Dungeons and Instanced Content? Absolutely, as do many others.

Will? we get more instanced content? Personally I think we will. but it will be a minimum of about 6 months before we will see the beginnings of it I would imagine.

Solution?
Get yourself and a bunch of your friends. and go raid in WvW. you have a plethora of mobs. large castles and champions to fight. and my personal favorite, Necromancers are really powerfull there

As a Chef for a Japanese restaurant. I will spend upwards of 50 to 60 hours a week in my kitchen.

on those rare occasions when i get to go out with my family, or my friends. or just by myself.

you can bet the LAST place i am going is for Sushi.

I have several “Devs” in my guild.
they are Very real people, and Enjoy the game as much as we do.

Well with the FgS nerf. Engineers have a spot in the “meta”

and with Frost spirit nuked.

Necromancers are a better choice than rangers…

When I First started cooking. Day 1, I was handed a case of Bell Peppers and was asked to dice them, All of them.

It took me 6 hours.

When I first saw the wonder that Is Giganticus Lupicus. 6 hours in that arena. and we never saw him hit the floor.

Needless to say, I can dice a case of peppers a lot faster now. And Lupi goes down in far less time.

Just like a Chef needs new ingredients to play with to change things up and take something to a different level. We as Gamers need some new content to mess with. and experience.

if you are running with a group the rules apply as above. As a Necromancer you are reliant on the rest of your team for the stability.

If you are soloing, that is a different story all together.

Right now the PvE ballnce is really bad.It supports only Zerkers and that’s it.What about the other two roles?Suppor and Controll?Make having vitality,healing,toughness stats more meaningful in PvE.

I am terribly sorry but that statement has negated any form of sense you may or may not have had.

The only thing currently wrong with Defiant is that the attacks you interrupt are not worth interrupting. barring few exceptions. Using Lupi as an example. if his AOE barrage went on full cool down on interrupt. I assure you any team with some level of intelligence would never see the barrage.

PvE is very balanced I think. Just because YOU cannot see or preform the support and control roles does not mean that it does not happen.

what gear are you running?
even with DPS traits. like you have if you dont have some gear that will compliment it it wont do as much. it sounds like you are running PvT

I would suggest swapping out to at least knights gear if you are uncomfortable with glass. if not go Assassin or Beserker. with those you should be hitting the larger numbers you have heard about.

I actually agree with point one. They need to add some anti-stacking mechanics to Lupi.

For instance, what if he did some really high damage attacks, but only at melee range? You know, like kick or claw at them? And to drive home that players shouldn’t be stacking, the attacks could knock them back 300-600 units. “Go range, folks!” :-) Some adds that swarm the players while they’re knocked down and at like 10% health might be overkill, but ANet could add them if they really wanted to send a message.

Or a giant, like 600 radius area attack where he shoots a hundred of his projectile bolts at about 200 range? It should instadown any player who stays in it, or at least those zerkers (lol, they’re not even proper tanks with that gear, why should they get that close? That’s DPS gear!!). Make it have like a 0.15s tell so that those elitists that rely on abusing evades can’t just easily dodge out of it.

And to really make sure that nobody tries to stack, a giant (like 900 radius) PBAoE attack, powerful enough to down a zerkerburger, could pop up during the fight. To punish those “players” that just want to finish the runs fast instead of having fun, they could make the attack actually heal Lupi back up. I know, I know, I’m evil >:-) But that would just make those grievers who are ruining the game take longer! Man, I hate those guys. >.<

Maybe someone at ANet will read this and realize how easily they can keep cheaters from meleeing and using what they call “combos” (bugged interactions between skills that somehow give them more damage) to exploit Lupi, and finally implement some of these ideas!

PSA: NEcromancer can in fact get Brie down to 50 percent in a reasonable amount of time. Even without might.

and yes it is in fact possible to make the second run. tricky. but possible.
