What they don’t realize is that if Skyhammer was not in SoloQ, more people would play the game. Skyhammer removed = more (happy!) people in solo queue. More people in tPvP = more money for devs.
I for sure would start playing again if that map got removed from existence.
My only wish is a removal of SkyHammer from soloQ.

this guy lordrisiky or what ever happens to be one of the top necros in the game, he doesnt have a biased opinion like most people, he just genuinely wants the game to improve, so before you start qqing or calling him bad go check his team que and solo que records and i personally have played with him and i know hes a formidable player, quite capable of carrying people. that said when hes trying to help the developers by informing them of something that clearly is overpowered how about before you start calling him noob or passively calling him bad check your own statistics and see how many games youve carried to victory and i m pretty sure its 100s less than him, so before you get buthurt cause hes calling something you play overpowered just think about how these over powered classes affect every other class

Skyhammer is the reason why I stopped playing althogether, that map belongs to hotjoin, maybe.
Weapon rarity has no affect on stats in structured PvP.
Thank you for the clarification, but this hasn’t been made clear in-game. How will players know when they’ve entered with exotic weapons and the weaponsmith sells white-grade equipment?
By reading the tooltip in the PvP build interface, it says that attributes are normalized in pvp.
So basically what your all saying is “People with internet that disconnects often should not be allowed to enjoy core gameplay or else they will get banned from said core gameplay” This is so unfair. I am taking part in the tournament of legends in 9 days now. Now my internet messing up has lost me 2 days practice. This is wrong, and unfair, and unreasonable.

When your feedbacks keep getting ignored and your favorite (and often, only) gamemode is neglected the way sPvP/tPvP is, I challenge you to not being bitter and toxic.
I’ve level a Thief, Necro, Engineer, and Guardian to level 80.
However, my elementalist is level 50 and I die 10x more than I did with any other class. The class seems to die so easily but doesn’t do a ton of damage to make up for it like the Thief class. Every dynamic event I have to fight for my life if more than one enemy is involved.
I primarily use Staff sometimes switching to scepter. The only time I do a lot of damage is if I take the time to stack Might or used a conjured weapon.
I wanted to play a long ranged mage but Elementalist just isn’t fun at all. I may just quit and start a Mesmer. Does Elementalist become better at later levels or am I doing something wrong.
Elementalists stopped being good like 1 year ago.

We didn’t promise anything, we shared our high level road-map plans.
This is why we don’t like sharing dates. I know you’re waiting on things, and the wait is driving me crazy too, but saying we made promises when we clearly did not does not help get the content out sooner.
If you want greater transparency, like I do, then you must accept that dates, features, and plans are not a static promise. Things can happen to shift priorities, dates, or designs, causing things to changed, be pushed back, or accelerated.

There are thread almost daily about SkyHammer in SoloQ, it still hasn’t been removed (it’s the one reason I stopped playing soloQ)
There have been countless threads about Warrior’s Healing Signet, it still hasn’t been nerfed
Some things, you just hotfix, you just don’t wait 6+ months leaving the game in an awful state.
Meanwhile, PvPers get pve rewards for winning pvp matches now, yay! Seriously…
(And I’m not even mentioning Glory Boosters being removed without any kind of compensation)

They are not. Hardcore and casual are mutually exclusive, but that has nothing to do with being competitive in a game.
Reasons:
1. Skyhammer: The map ruins the whole experience and causes rage for both teams.

They should do like DAOC did back in the good old days.
You get hit by a cc, you are immune to the same kind of cc for the next X seconds.
It was 60 seconds for magical CC (stun, mezz or root), duration x 5 seconds for phisical stuns (a shield slam would stun for 9 seconds and make you immune to all stuns for the next 45), snare had no immunity unless you were already immune to root (which was basically a 99% snare)
Of course, given the faster pace of GW2 fights, 1 minute of immunity would be too long, but they could do something similar to avoid chain-cc (no one likes being stunlocked when you have no access to stability, due to cd or class limitation).
Welcome back, now tell the scripting team to give us an option to ban skyhammer from our map preferences so I can start pvping again
Try asking politely, and maybe explain why something should be done that way, instead of bossing people around.

You can counter chain CCs with stability 100% of the time (well, unless a necro corrupts you, that is, but that is still counter-play), there is no frigging way to counter immobilize spam once you get caught (have fun cleansing that specific condition among the 1000 other you have on you, only Lyssa can save you!)

WHEN EXACTLY did ele start being weak? I main necromancer, guardian and warrior in PvP and ele is the class I almost never played since 2012 (the only few times I played a healer in Dec. 2012). What changed that made the once-utterly-OP D/D build disappear? Staff? S/D?
- Ride the Lightning CD incresed from 15s to 40s (20s if it hits the target, good luck with all the dodge spam). Also, its range got nerfed from 1550 to 1200
- Regen/Vigor duration nerfed to 6s from 10s on Soothing Disruption
- Fury/Swiftness duration halved when using Shocking Aura with Zephyr’s Boon (this is actually a bugfix, but still)
- Signet of Restoration nerfed and fixed (no longer procs multiple times when using dagger air autoattack or dodge rolling with evasive arcana, for example)
- Blast finishers removed from all Evasive Arcana spells, except the Earth one
- Evasive Arcana Cleansing Wave nerfed by 50% in PvP
- Bountiful Power nerfed to 1%/boon from 2%/boon
All in all, it wouldn’t even be so bad, if other classes, that are currently apex predators, didn’t get buffed like kitten at the same time.
Of course, you could still play the good old standard 0/20/0/20/30 S/D build, as it hasn’t been touched by too many nerfs, but it is kinda outperformed by everything…and melts to condis.

I really expected this from necros.I mean this was as perfectly prevedible like them stacking rabid gear and spam scepter auto in complete safety of full toughness paired with two healthbars.
I just wonder that instead of complaining, anyone considered rampager? I a using it on my warrior since a few days and works nicely.Except i need to actually know what i am doing because no armor at all.Why instead of free easymode nectos would venture into a more risky/skilled play? Someone might even find fun to actually have to do other except facetanking and spam condis/ds/condis/leech form/condis i win.Just saying.

Wars were nerfed into less than useles for spvp again and still don’t complain as muh. (Probably because they got back to their necro main afwr they saw the patchnotes).But then they realised diamond skin said hello.You realize the guy used a carrion amulet and had 30 points in his power line. That’s 944 power, which is more than a zerker amulet. He still couldn’t put out enough damage to get the ele under the diamond skin threshold.

Diamond Skin is a 30-point Earth trait. EARTH. The condition damage tree. If you see an Ele with Diamond skin, they have already put themselves at a huge disadvantage against almost every meta build.
Currently there are NO decent builds involving 30 Earth because “condi ele” is something that barely exists. Necro and Engineer have superior condi application in every way. So you will still see most Ele’s going 30 Arcana + Air/Fire (burst) or Water (defensive).

That is exactly what i was telling people when they introduced damage on boons trait on warriors but everybody has this ideea of 30/30/30/30/30 builds for all classes and they scream op op op op kitten(funny the screamers were mostly eles), even if in fact picking these traits actually means nerfing yourself.Just lol.I do hope however that they will qq as much about eles as they did about warriors.AGAIN and they will , the ammount of bad in players these days is “trough the roof”.

So you dont team q and have 100 games at a low level of solo q. Honestly, if you are so inexperienced/bad then why even post in balance threads? You cant have any understanding of the game. some random reasons
1) sync queueing
2) matchmaker putting 5 high ranked ppl vs 5 lower ranker ppl resulting in the first team almost always winning and climbing (and the other team losing ranks). Also made possible by sync queuing
3) almost non-existant decay (it started ticking after like 2 months, and it would let you jump back to 1st position after resuming play, see Kultas’ thread months ago)

But hes right. Giving untemporary condition immunity by traits like Diamond Skin/AR is just plain bad design.
You mean having traits that forces teams to have a balanced composition instead of a burst only/condi only setup?

Bunker engi is lame? I guess that’s because you can’t just mindlessly spam condis on them and have to condi burst them at around 30% life…you know AR doesn’t cleanse existing condis right?
Also, Diamond Skin works above 90% (or 85%?) life, that is a whopping 1.5k life to remove. Clearly OP.
The real question is: why hasn’t it been removed yet? I’ve read countless complains about this since soloQ has been introduced (and more when it was in the teamQ rotation)

Your team has trouble facing another team that runs with an AR Engi? maybe bring a burst class to kill it, since AR does jack kitten against direct damage. Stuff like that.Also, as other people have stated, it’s still possible to kill an engi with conditions, you just have to use them smartly. It’s the same thing that happened with immortal eles after all, just wait for their water attunement to be on cd and burst those 14k hps down.
That’s only partially true. Burst builds that are melee (dagger necro) that rely on conditions chill/immob/snare to keep on the enemy in order to do damage and has low mobility otherwise actually have a horrible time with AR too. Hell the anti-cc is the worst part about this trait imo.
For burst builds I was not referring to necro only…you know, team game and all that kitten.
If one trait from one class manages to counter your WHOLE team, than there is something wrong. With your team composition.

No, just no. This would make some conditions “useless”, this would make covering conditions useless, etc.
Condition cleanse should simply be LIFO.
Would using s/d in wvw/spvp without fresh air completely destroy your damage? Given that it’s a great burst tool and is staple in a lot of current meta s/d builds, I’m trying to create an s/d build without fresh air but all signs lead to “hits like a wet paper tower, gets torn through like tissue paper.” Just asking for some general opinions and anecdotes.
Considering that eles have been playing with 0/20/0/20/30 since launch, yes, S/D without fresh air is possible.
Finally.
If you don’t want to get oneshotted by backstabs, you might want to stop running full glass cannon yourself.

Cleansing wave was a grandmaster trait. The arcane one kind of peeves me. Actually makes me pretty anniyed and is a bad idea. Jon sharp if you are eeading this please no. Those two skills are far better than others and we have no other real ways of getting vigor without traiting for it and going all cantrips. Do you want us going all cantrips again?
Cleansing wave is water 5, cleansing water is water 11.
It’s amazing how you manage to nerf elementalists even when you try to buff them.
Renewing Stamina and Elemental Attunement as master traits mean that you won’t be able to take both, even with 30 points in arcana (and I wouldn’t call this a “splash”)
You’re effectively putting the final nail in the coffin on elementalists just with this change alone.
And seriously, more passive effects? (auto-cleansing fire on 3 condis) The game has too much of those already.
Also, where is the Signet of Healing nerf?
