I agree, stop focusing on all these major tournaments, and work on actually improving the pvp infrastructure. If you did this people would actually want to play pvp! Then you could have more people for your tournaments.

But whatever it’ll just fall on deaf ears, kittening in the wind as always.

But tournaments cost them 1 CM person, whom they probably pay $20 an hour.

Making real changes to the game requires good, talented developers, which costs money.

Test Servers: These are hard to do at the moment, and not something we will support for now. It takes a lot of manpower to manage another live environment and iteration on features in that environment takes a lot of extra lead time.

I call bunk. Every other MMO AND MOBA can run a test server with little-no difficulty: WoW, SWTOR, Rift, LoL, Smite, etc. GW2 is the lone exception.

Extra lead time? Hardly. I’m playing Smite right now. They’re running their test server this weekend. They’ll collect data, pull down the server by Monday and incorporate fixes to their released product by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. 4 days. They need four days to run a test server and incorporate feedback into their next release. What’s ArenaNet doing wrong?

The reality is that a PTS server should not require more than 1 FTE about 2 days to put the server up/down, 1 FTE 1 day to collect feedback and bug reports.

Why don’t you believe your product isn’t worth another 3 days of engineering time to ensure its quality prior to release?

What is balance team doing with their time?

in Profession Balance

Posted by: Thedenofsin.7340

Thedenofsin.7340

Since we get balance patches every 6 months or so and they include changes that take less than a month to come up with and create, I can’t help but to wonder what are they doing in the 5 months between the patches? Are they laid off or something?

A man can dream…

I’m not trying to be snarky or disrespective or anything but the amount of changes we get in balance patches doesn’t warrant months and months of completely skewed balance especially in PvP. We haven’t even gotten new skills, mechanics or professions in the two years the game has been out to mix things up and possibly draw time from the balance team. We got new traits, majority of which are unviable or just too deep in the trait trees to ever be useful, generosity rune is blatantly overpowered and highly inaccessible in PvE/WvW, the meta stagnates in a few weeks after a balance patch because the game has so few moving parts the optimal builds are found extremely quickly. The game doesn’t have much depth or mechanics required so the gap between skill floor and skill ceiling is downright claustrophobic.

Two years from launch and conditions are still unviable in PvE
Healing power still has no use in PvE
Zerking is the optimal PvE build assuming you can reflect/dodge roll
Mob AI has never been returned to beta weekend quality
Condition spamming is cancer killing the ‘esports’ in this game
Meta builds are all about eliminating counterplay

It will never, ever get better. The game is horribly, irrecoverably imbalanced and will never improve.

I’d suggest you try Smite, a 3rd person MOBA. It’s not an MMO, but you’ll be pleasantly pleased with the balance.

Thedenofsin.7340

Maybe it’s just me, but from you listed it looks like there are more viable build now than ever, you even listed s/d ele as a problem… every class as now at least 1 good build, the next step should increase that number and not decrease it.

Most of those builds require little to no skill in order to be highly effective. What the OP has identified is a symptom of a problem.

Here are some of the problems with PvP:

  1. No competitive scene
  2. Substantial build imbalance
  3. Substantial profession imbalance
  4. Substantial itemization problems
  5. Lack of map variety
  6. Numerous bugs

A cursory root cause analysis shows the core problem is: insufficient developer support. The support for the PvP in this game is, effectively, non-existent.

People have complained for two years and nothing has been done that has actually resulted in an improvement in the PvP game, overall.

Two.
Years.

They buffed elementalists buffs and broke them.
Then they were nerfed into oblivion.
Then necromancers were buffed and broken.
Then they were nerfed down to mediocrity.
Then warriors were buffed and broken. They remain that way today.
Then the developers re-itemized everything and added a bunch of broken or useless traits.

And they basically haven’t touched it since.

So, in short, complaining will do you no good. If you like the gameplay as it is, good for you. If you don’t, I suggest you find another game to play. The PvP ship for GW2 has set sail and the course is not going to change.

Why? Do you want to have more game modes where the gameplay is horribly broken, imbalanced, full of bugs and poorly maintained?

Oooo! Give me more of that!

Transparency!? It was here - now its gone!

in PvP

Posted by: Thedenofsin.7340

Thedenofsin.7340

Transparency would be admitting the sPvP team was massively scaled back into a skeleton crew shortly after release due to disappointingly low Conquest player numbers and resource allocation pressure for the Living Story.

A new game mode is a bad idea.

You misunderstand, as you showed in an earlier post, the whole “new game mode” idea. You equated it with a “fourth leg” to PvE/sPvP/WvW. But no one means that. We mean maps with different objectives than holding cap points, within sPvP.
I think you are pretty alone with the notion that a new game mode within sPvP is a bad idea, though you would have had the sole company of some stubborn ANet devs and directors until circa mid 2013 (which is 3 years after every fan already told them Conquest only would be a horrible, horrible idea)

I am pretty alone on this. But I am right.
I understand it just fine. What the majority of players do not grasp is that a change of objectives (i.e. moving away from standing on a point) means the game mechanics need to be adjusted to balance the game. Stealth is balanced on the notion of standing on a point. Healing Signet is balanced on that same notion. Guardian mechanics are, etc. etc.

A new game mode that requires a different set of balance changes than the others.

However, that won’t happen. What you will get is a 4th game mode that is as imbalanced, if not moreso, than the others. Either the ANet developers don’t see this problem, or they are hoping the ‘newness’ factor of a new game mode will mask its balance shortcomings, and buy them a little time.

What exactly is your definition of ignoring?

1) ignore: refuse to take notice of or acknowledge; disregard intentionally.
2) ignore: fail to consider (something significant).
3) ignore: reject as groundless

Let’s see:
Requests for skyhammer fall under definition #1
Lack of proper leaderboards for a year fall under definition #2
Dismissal of cries of “overpowered Healing Signet” falls under definition #3

There are many more examples – those are just a few. What’s your definition of ignore?

I guess I just find it ironic that you use Skyhammer in Solo Arenas as the example of devs ignoring the playerbase, when Solo Arena’s existence in the first place is literally a result of ArenaNet listening to the playerbase.

What exactly is your definition of irony? Because that’s not irony, according to my definition of it. The fact they added solo queue is great. The fact that ANet created Skyhammer is simply tragic.

Now, I’m not saying I do or don’t agree with having Skyhammer in Solo Arena. I’m just trying to point out the flaws in these statements. It doesn’t help you guys to use hyperbole (in this case, saying ANet ignores it’s players).

Do you feel it is reasonable to consult the playerbase on every single change they make in the game? Do you think it’s reasonable for them to talk to you guys about every change that is made or will be made? Honestly, when would they have the time to actually develop the game if they were doing all that?

Based upon the quality of the changes I’ve seen implemented, I’d say it’s 100% compulsory to consult the playerbase. I’d also say a beta server is 100% necessary.

Dhuumfire was a bad idea.
The last update to Dhuumfire was a bad idea.
Healing Signet was a bad idea.
Diamond Skin was a bad idea.
Most of the new heals were bad ideas.
The vast majority of the new grandmaster traits were bad ideas.
Skyhammer was a bad idea.
A new game mode is a bad idea.

Whether or not the balance of dev to player interaction is at a healthy state right now, saying ArenaNet ignores player feedback is factually wrong.

I guess that depends. If you ask me to do something and I don’t respond to you for 6+ months, is that ignoring? Or is it just extreme procrastination?

In my book, I call that ignoring.

This is a response to many posts, not going to quote all of them.

You’re comparing a game that has an entire studio focused on one game mode to a game that has three major game modes. Of course their one game mode is going to get more updates.

That’s one perspective. I suppose then I would argue that since GW2 has 3 game modes, then I’d expect to see 1/3rd the sPvP updates than I’d see in something like Smite. However, the reality is that it’s far closer to 1/10 to 1/15th the number of updates, and that’s probably generous.

I could also argue that GW2 requires you to buy the game to play, whereas the other is 100% free to play. Therefore GW2 should have a significantly larger operating budget than the other game. As such, it should be able to afford adequate staffing to push out more updates than the other.

(I forgot to mention Smite also released a whole Siege map in that month’s time as well).

Regardless of that, can you guys see how the messaging here is confusing? One person says they actually don’t want transparency, while others say they do. I’m just curious, do you guys even have an idea of what transparency is? At least, how would you define it?

I’ll say this. If the sPvP patches came out at a moderate rate and continuously showed improvement toward balance, do you think people would be clamoring for transparency? Of course they would not, because they would know the “balance team” is regularly iterating on the game and progressing toward a balanced state.

I also don’t think that it’s a mystery that GW2 needs a new game mode (I myself would love one).

I would argue that they cannot adequately balance and maintain the game modes in the game today. Adding another would be disastrous. How many times did the ANet team chant the mantra about how difficult it was to balance the game for 3 game modes? Now you advocate adding a 4th? This isn’t the Cosby Show, where adding another Huxtable suddenly saves your ratings.

Smite is a great example of dev/community interaction, as well. If you spend any amount of time on their forums and subreddit, you’ll run into tons of posts and responses by their staff on practically any range of topics. Open discussion of balance is actively encouraged and small changes are implemented on a nearly-weekly basis, usually accompanied by a new character or skin (also usually based on ideas from the community itself). If a change doesn’t work out as well as expected after a couple of days, their devs don’t hesitate to roll it back with a follow-up patch. As a result, the meta shifts pretty rapidly as top players adapt, and the tournaments are very dynamic and fun to watch because of the wide variety of tactics and team comps that can be viable.

Anet could definitely learn a thing or two from that development team, especially since the GW2 community is already providing tons of awesome ideas and suggestions for them to sort through. There’s just so much missed opportunity here.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve been playing that game now for a little while and all I could think of was, “This is what the GW2 team should have been doing for the past 2 years”. I’ve seen more really good plays in 1 month than I’ve seen in 2 years of GW2. For example: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCoBypJfeRA&t=3m37s )

What update in the past 6-12 months was truly sPvP centric? All you changed was rewards rewards and rewards. And about a bi-annually balance update.
Rewards make no better PvP game mode.

Rewards are incredibly important in any game, including PvP. It is what keeps players in the game.

And, oddly enough, GW2 removed PVP rewards for, what, like an entire month? If they are so important, then it should have behooved them to never remove the reward structure, even for a month.

Not sure if you’ve noticed the consistently instant queue pops and populated servers but… the game is actually full of people now. The feature build was a huge release for GW2 PvP, even if not in the most obvious of ways.

Downplaying that kind of thing can really drive devs away, btw. They put in incredible amounts of hours to make great updates and players make it sound like it was nothing. Disregarding their efforts is a big hit on morale and should really be avoided, particularly when asking for more transparency.

Time != quality

I’m sure they spent a lot of time making all those new healing spells, too. It doesn’t mean it was any good.

The April 15th patch was about 80% crap, 20% decent changes. And most of those 20% came from last minute changes that I think you pushed for, on behalf of the community. That means, in my mind, the developers had put together a patch that was closer to 90% crap. It was a gross waste of resources.

It’s sad that morale is low at ANet, but I guarantee you that putting out more crap changes isn’t going to improve morale.

People want transparency because they think they can positively influence the game design. The reality is they cannot, so transparency is a moot point.

In actuality, people don’t want transparency – they just want quality patches at a decent rate. Since we’re in the sPvP forums, what people here really want is better balance changes. What they want are developers who listen to the 15,000 posts that Healing Signet is overpowered – not developers who stick their fingers in their ears and say, ‘warriors are fine. L2P’. They want developers who listen to the 20,000 posts saying that stealth is broken in WvW (and post videos of 1 thief soloing 6-10 people at a time) – not developers who lean over and say, “I’m a trifle deaf in this ear. You’ll have to speak a bit louder next time”

ANet Morale is not going to improve as long as the quality is this low. I played this game since beta and there have been only a handful of releases with good content. Most of it was bad, broken, or just terribly, terribly late to the game (i.e. stuff that should have been out at release).

You know what’s funny is that I realized that nearly every single patch that I found to be good/entertaining was focused on PVE and was primarily, or solely, developed by one person: Josh Foreman (SAB, MechaStreisand, Mad King’s Tower, etc). What does that tell you?

The April 15th patch proved to me that ANet either doesn’t really know how to balance PvP, or simply doesn’t care enough. This was made clear when Powerr had effectively said they think the meta is going to change, but have no idea how because of how many changes they have made to the game. That’s not acceptable.

The development and maintenance I have seen is not consistent with any AAA MMO I’ve ever played. It’s not even on par with free-to-play games on the market. For example, I’ve been playing Smite a lot recently. It’s a well-balanced MOBA with lots of skill-based plays. Since April 15th GW2 patch, I believe Smite has released 2 new gods, at least 4 new skins, and released 3-4 balance patches. What has GW2 done in that same time frame?

If ANet really wants to make sPvP a truly competitive game mode, then they need to stop working on it altogether. Instead, augment custom arenas to allow players to adjust spell costs, durations and coefficients. Let the community balance the game for them. Then just suck in the ‘best of breed’ changes and baseline them in future builds.

I like this analogy! Let’s run with it.

Call me crazy, but I do believe some info about the next update, even if it’s just “hey, we’ll give you a potato in 4 weeks” would calm down the people impatience… such is the gw2 community hunger.

While we’d love to give you a time and date of when we’re sending out the potato, remember that during the development process we may discover that a baked potato would be even better. So instead of getting the potato of your dreams you end up with something completely unexpected.

It often happens that a mashed potato with gravy is even better still, unfortunately gravy requires more dev time. So we end up shipping a mashed potato without gravy to meet our promise of ship time or we push back the time and date of when we are shipping again and again. You get your mashed potato with gravy but it is delivered much later than it was expected.

Worst of all that is when we realize that potatoes are way too mainstream and that yams are where it’s at now. And I think we all know how reactions seem to go when we ship yams instead of potatoes.

That right there is a problem (one of the many problems with the development and maintenance with this game). If I want a potato, give me a potato, and give it to me in a reasonable time frame. Don’t tell me that what I really want is a yam, and don’t tell me to come back in 3 hours because you have to go to the farm to dig one up.

The request is simple: give me something of reasonable quality in a reasonable time frame. Don’t give me something I don’t ask for, and don’t take forever.

So in a lot of cases the best we can do is tell you that we are still in the kitchen cooking things up, we’re reading your feedback, and that we’re excited to get the meal out to you soon™.

What you’re saying is that a restaurant customer should walk in, ask for a potato, then get ignored for 2 hours while the kitchen prepares a chopped salad (with lots of bugs in it because the owner did not hire people who can properly clean the vegetables).

How long do you think such a restaurant will stay in business?

What if the maître d’ came out and apologized, stating the delay is because they are opening another restaurant on the other side of town and, instead of hiring new cooks for the other restaurant, they simply short-staffed this one?

What if the maître d’ sat down and talked with the customers about what they don’t like about the restaurant, but then did not actually do anything with the feedback?

Do you truly believe the way you are running things is making your customers happier than they were before?

Thedenofsin.7340

For those entering the thread, Welcome!

Recently I began a small undertaking that is questioning the community about the Mesmer in order to gain a better focus for a Much Larger topic I would like to present (and have your help with).

Thus far I have asked Mesmer players what they feel Mesmer seems to be “Missing” and a “Role” they feel it should be filling in combat and a party. The general feel is that Mesmers are lacking in Control, and should perhaps be a more CC oriented Class.

I also Asked them what types of CC we have that fall under the 4 Sub-types of CC.
1. Hard CC
2. Soft CC
3. Denial
4. Punishment

It would seem that Mesmers contain some of everything but most of it is very difficult to Chain together and “synergize” with the way the classes traits and weapons currently work.

--------------

All this brings me now to You, dear player and forum goer, as a Mesmer, or Non Mesmer. What do you feel Mesmer should bring to a Team? What would you like to see Mesmer take a “lead” in (speaking of “roles”)?

Please be sure to List the game mode(s) to which you are referring in your posts as there is a very large difference between the 3!

PS: Please attempt to steer away from discussing PU, this is a Trait that is deserving of a thread all its own along with Stealth as a game mechanic.

~Keep it clean~

What difference does it make what the players want or feel?

The player base has felt that warriors have been overpowered for almost a year now. However, the developers, who are so much more intelligent, well-informed, talented and learned in the workings of this game (and all other games for that matter!) believe that warriors are well balanced. They also believe healing signet is fine.

The Mesmer community has said for almost a year that Mesmers are not viable in the meta. However, this matters not to the developers for they know better than the community.

Why do you think ANet is suddenly going to stand up and listen now? Why do you think the ANet “development team” is going to suddenly come to the realization they need to listen to the community?

I’ve been getting into League of Legends. Once you get the hang of it, if you’ve never played, it’s a lot of fun. The community’s a bit worse, but you can just mute someone if they’re raging. It also has a capture point map.

I think if you start losing your fun, you should look to another game. ArenaNet just doesn’t have the resources (or the focus… probably the focus) to devote to one aspect of GW2, so when you really get into something (dungeons/fractals, PvP, WvW) you start to see all the warts and the inconsistencies that you didn’t notice when it wasn’t your primary source of enjoyment in the game.

I second this. I’ve been enjoying Smite much more. Balance patches come out every 2 weeks, the game is well balanced, and the matches can be very good.

I really see WvWvW as the only reason to play GW2. There are free games out there with better PVP (LoL, Smite) and free games out there with better PVE (SWTOR, Rift).

Do people still believe this?

MMO-forums are always:

  • Full of complaints.
  • Hostile.
  • Accusing the devs of being incompetent.
  • Accusing the devs of playing personal favours.
  • Talking about how much less of the above there would be if only the devs would for once listen to the obviously much-better-developers players.

Since this happens in any MMO, it’s probably safe to assume that this is an inherent “feature” of the community drawn to such games, and can be ~safely ignored.

I’ve played a good number of mmos, but I’ve honestly not ever seen a dev team as…special as the ones here.

They quite literally fail to actually execute the fixes that they release in the patch notes themselves while at the same time introducing more bugs into the very skills they attempted to fix.

Honestly now, have you ever seen this before?

I’ve never seen this level of gross incompetence in an MMO before. I’m not saying the balance team should be fired.

However, if they worked for me, I would have kitten-canned them a year ago.

Define balance

in Profession Balance

Posted by: Thedenofsin.7340

Thedenofsin.7340

It seems to me, that by definition, if a game is balanced, that you should lose 50% of every 1v1 fight you are in. It also seems to me that players who lose 50% of their 1v1 fights, like to make frivolous threads claiming either there profession is either under powered, or other professions are over powered.

If you are playing a 1v1 game, then I would argue that the typical player has a 1:1 win/loss ratio.

However, this is a 5v5 game, so it’s more like 1:1 for the team.

But that’s not how you achieve balance – it’s a means of measurement. And it’s not the only measurement, nor should it be evaluated in isolation.

Lol the amount of salt from the PvEr’s and WvW players is just amazing lol. I can’t believe what you guys are even saying lol.

@Pyrial, First of all you are getting mad at the wrong reason. The top 8 teams that have been doing PvP since before anyone even wanted to try to PvP ofc deserve a top spot/seed in the tournament. Its like saying if there are 8 top NBA teams, then all of a sudden there is a 100 trillion dollar tournament, and many teams want to participate even when 90% of them have never even played against the best or participated in the NBA, should be given an equal chance. Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

.

Hardly, it’s like saying the NFL season just started and the 2 superbowl contenders from last year get an automatic bid into the playoffs. How do you guys keep calculating the “best” 8 teams? Those were unofficial tournaments that have no bearing on this tournament. See how stupid that sounds?

Secondly, if you’re referencing me as a salty pver or wvwer I only have ever pvp’d. There are plenty of other PVP only players who are going to miss out on this tournament for no other reason than because someone somewhere decided to unofficial data as a means to guarantee spots in an open tournament.

It’s more like open tryouts for an NFL team, but the current starting lineup is is already guaranteed spots on the team.

You can’t compare an NFL vet with a bum that come in off the street.

No Holy Trinity = Boring?

I see that people still don’t get that:

  1. Roles do not have be something you practice all the time, in every fight.
  2. Roles don’t have to be exclusive to a given player/character.
  3. Roles don’t have to be bound to professions.
  4. Roles don’t have to be bound to gear.

That is what Rift just did and you know what? It totally confused the players used to the Trinity paradigm. Read the forums on Rift – people still only want Warrior = Tank, Cleric = Healers, the rest = DPS. It is the players that are rigid not the game and Rift proved that.

I played Rift from beta up to GW2 BWE and was on the forums all the time. Never once did I read a post where someone complained that they could not understand how multiple callings could perform multiple roles. Never. People did complain that some professions were apex in more than one profession (e.g. best dps and best tank), but that’s a different topic.

The lack of a trinity system in this game has simply resulted in a unity: warriors.

Warriors warriors warriors.

Best class in PvP: warriors
Best class in WvW: warriors
Best class in dungeons: warriors
Best class in World Events: warriors

Guild Warriors, not Guild Wars.

The problem with the holy trinity is that only a few classes could be healer or tank, and that there were many more dps classes. This creates a shortage, which is a big problem.

IMO, Rift took the correct approach: Make every profession capable of speccing into each role. Rift has 4 ‘callings’: mage, warrior, rogue and mage, and 4 roles: tank, dps, healer, support. Each calling has 9 (and soon to be 10) souls that allow each calling to perform any given role.

Much better approach.

  1. SAB 3 – when will we see it? Will it be more like SAB 1 or SAB 2?
  2. Mad King’s Clock Tower – This was one of the best things I’ve ever experienced in-game. It was excellent. Have you guys considered adding some new jumping puzzles that had some kind of built-in timer?
  3. Clockwork Marionette – This was really well designed content. I didn’t like it at first, but later realized that it is very doable with a small amount of coordination. I would like to see more content like this and less content like Tequatl 2.0. Do you have any such plans?

I prefer:

Superior Sigil of Penetration: 30% chance on critical: impales self on the backside.

Also, as of April 15th you’ll be able to equip 2 Sigils. I’d suggest:

Superior Sigil of the Balance Team: When below the health threshold, your attacks have a chance to buff all warriors with Fury, 25 stacks of might, 1000 AP, 5000 Toughness, 100% increase in CC duration, 300% increase in HP regeneration and 2000 HP. This buff is permanent.
Health Threshold: 101%

New infusion:
Lubricative Painless Infusion – Coats weapon and numb’s the wearer’s sense of pain. Causes ‘balance confusion’ – your player will randomly self-stun, state ‘soon’ in map chat, and die. Unless you are a warrior. For warriors – chance to insta-kill all other professions on the map.

I think they will be more active now, just look at them not puting perplexity runes…

Now that they are trying to push pve players into pvp, once they see and taste the imbalance and frustration the spvp players feel they will whine too on the forums and kitten will get done.

The PVE players mostly play Warrior and thief.

The only new complaints will be warriors complaining that thieves kill them.

For fun, let’s guess what the team composition is going to be for the final 2 teams.

My guess:

HS Hambow
HS Condi Warrior
Bunker Guard
PW Thief
Spirit Ranger

vs

HS Hambow
Bunker Guard
PW Thief
Spirit Ranger
DPS Guard

What’s your guess? Let’s see what kind of amazing team compositions exist 1.5 years after GW2’s release.

Last year’s prize pool for GW2: $10,000

This year’s prize pool for League of Legends: over $2,000,000 (rumored)
This year’s prize pool for GW2: $0 (+ some electrons)

This year’s winning team of spirit ranger, hambow (possibly 2), thief, guardian + X (if not double hambow) will also win this lovely trophy: http://s7.orientaltrading.com/is/image/OrientalTrading/13614154?$VIEWER_IMAGE_400$

Why is Skyhammer so bad?
Why are Warriors so broken?
Why does decap engie exist?
Why Dhuumfire?
Why is stealth such a broken mechanic?

These are all the result of bad design decisions. There is only one logical conclusion.

[PvX] We Require More Anti-Stealth

Thedenofsin.7340

A warrior complaining about the only profession that can solo a warrior. QQ more.

Warriors need a buff like ArenaNet needs another Scarlet Briar.

There is a need for some anti-stealth, but no way should it go to warriors.

Additionally, any anti-stealth should be associated with a skill shot with a small area of effect.

The day I support warriors getting anti-stealth is the day ANet gives Mesmers a skill that disables Signets.

Let Us Tweak Skills, Talents in Custom Arenas

Thedenofsin.7340

How about a variant on the TFC game, ‘protect the VIP’. However, instead of a president, it’s a thief. All thief damaging output is reduced to 0. Everyone else has their usual set of skills and abilities.

One team gets the thief, the remaining players are all the “secret service”. The other team are the terrorists. Kill the VIP and the terrorists win. Kill the terrorists and the secret service wins.

They never will. This is why I proposed they simply open things up and let the community balance the game via custom arenas.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Let-Us-Tweak-Skills-Talents-in-Custom-Arenas/first#post3858168

My recommendation is not to come back on 4/15. Come back to the forums on 5/1 and see if anything is different.

No, because this game is based upon sitting on a point. As long as you can get 500+hp/sec healing + heavy armor + condi immunity + stability + 3 condi removal every ~8 seconds, it’s going to be broken.

And not everyone agrees hambow is out of control —- Hambow Hugh – thanks so much.

Your best AoE weapon should never be your best CC weapon and your best single target dps weapon

I can only hope that ESL and Blu start banning HS from the tournaments. Then maybe ANet will wake up to see what a joke it is.
