You are halfway to the max as far as actual percentage points go.

You are 11.5% of the way to the max, as far as the luck-points that you must accumulate to earn those percentage points are concerned.

Make of that what you will

Seeing ast they can’t even seem to make the game work right on modern PCs (see DX11/12 threads and how no amount of hardware can currently solve the game’s performance issues), asking for a console release is rather wishful thinking.

So weapon swap..

I agree with the OP—it’s extremely disappointing to see them renege on the design and resort back to the generic class setup instead of actually fixing the mechanic so that it was on par with Elementalist and Engineer. I was really hoping this would be the heavy armor class for me, but I guess not.

If it’s just going to be window dressing, I’d rather them put that effort into actual content.

Based on comments made by Colin when he was discussing by they went with a new class over a new race, window dressing is exactly what new races are going to be. That’s essentially all they want them to be.

Which, as it so happens, is also why they aren’t a priority.

Faster way spirit shard to gold?

Currently 1 spirit shard is worth around 1g (3g if very rich), but requires a lot of trading post. Will Heart of thorns bring faster way consume my 1 0 0 0 spirit shard bank? I dont feel like speding 100h for spirit shard convertion into gold.

You do realize that the time investment as much of the value, if not more, than the spirit shard investment, right? The easier it is, the less profit you will see.

Fully aware of the time consuming process. This is why i wrote those words and asked if HoT will bring faster way?

Did you understand my post? I admit, I accidentally left a word out of the first sentence (“The time investment is as much, of the value as the shard investment”), but I thought it was pretty clear. What you’re saying, though, is that you’d rather spend one hour and get 10G out of your 1,000 spirit shards than 100 hours to get 1,000G out of the same 1,000 spirit shards, which doesn’t really make a ton of sense.

Anyway, it’s highly unlikely that ANet will make currency conversion easier.

If that’s how you’re playing SW… you’re wasting your time, honestly. If anyone spent their week idling for mediocre rewards, then I wouldn’t be surprised if they never got a portal.

I mean, darker nights would be cool, and that very concept of it only being in the distance could be applied to them like it is in FFXIV , but still, don’t claim it’s something it’s not.

Best class for PvE Boss Farming?

Ele fire staff should have zero problems with world bosses. I have no clue how you are getting constantly downed.

sounds like he just mostly stands there.

Wow. You folks sure know how to make someone feel special. :P

I run a full zerker (rares, working towards exotics) staff elementalist on boss runs.

Claw of Jormag has a tendency to surprise me with those blasts of ice walls he throws down. The three final champions in the Silverwastes can get me down on occasion. So on and so forth.

I dodge when I see a warning area on the ground, but that and a 1200 range is not always enough. If I run out of endurance for dodging or just happen to get tripped up, all it takes is one good shot and I’m downed. I’m just looking too see if there’s something better out there.

Don’t forget that fire staff elementalist has an awesome extra dodge on 4. Also, the elementalist has a bunch of great survivability utilities (Arcane Shield FTW) and the usual fire staff builds have no use for what they normally slot when a world boss shows up.

If that’s not doing it for you, though, I guess that’s your choice. Personally, I wouldn’t bother changing equipment for world bosses, though. It’s really not necessary and they’re not worth it (Barring, like, if you do daily Triple Trouble with a guild). I’d sooner change characters than carry around multiple sets of armor.

Suggestion: Guild Bank Password

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Weirwynn.2390

Weirwynn.2390

I’d recommend the insertion of the password to be through a virtual keyboard. You know, the one you click with the mouse on the screen.

That would help against key loggers.

It really wouldn’t. It would only help against hardware keyloggers that have been placed between the keyboard and the computer. With software (or hardware interception on the mouse, for that matter), it’s just as easy to watch for and record mouse position and clicks as it is to watch for keyboard keys.

Virtual keyboard “safety” is a lie.

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Weirwynn.2390

I’m a main only kind of player (only mess around with alts in pvp), so no I don’t really need tomes of knowledge.

I’ve wasted too many on levelling alts in the past, only to eventually delete those characters, so I think I’ll be better off with the MF currency rather than hoarding the tomes.

If you say so. I suppose you’ll just get more tomes after the change anyway, if you need them. The value of a single skill point is just so low, though, that spending tomes for them baffles me. I’m a pretty casual player and I have a good thousand skill points in my bank and another five hundred on my elementalist. Sure, I could spend them converting materials in the forge, but time, rather than the skill points themselves, are the main bottleneck in that.

Wow, what a ridiculous thread. The only specific thing we know about the new precursor acquisition system is that one of the things you need to do for The Moot is to dance in front of Queen Jennah. General references were also made to doing research and performing heroic feats. Basically, everything that has been said indicates that it’s an achievement/questing system, likely very similar to creating Mawdrey. Is it likely that some steps might include crafting? Sure. Is that the heart of the system? All signs point to “No.”

Asura Engineer (80), my original main with over a thousand hours on it. Abandoned because there’s no point in buying anything for it (Ie. Armor, weapons, backpacks, all pointless)

Human Elementalist (80), my current main.

Sylvari Mesmer (80), AKA the puzzle fairy, because I enjoy jumping puzzles and most of my guildmates do not. Portals FTW.

Sylvari Warrior (63), my armorsmith/weaponsmith who I was leveling just to have a heavy armor/greatsword profession for skins, likely to be replaced by Revenant, which I see as the heavy armor peer of Engineer/Elementalist.

Human Thief (30), for a humanoid medium armor class. I’m fond of thieves in most games, but this one fails to hold my attention much.

Why would you need the Attunded Grow Lamp to forge Mawdrey? Is the wiki wrong? It says you need the Powerful Grow Lamp to forge Mawdrey. The attunded Grow Lamp is to forge Cultivated Vine.

PS: I made the mistake of forging the Attunded Grow Lamp and the wrong plant foods while getting the stuff for Mawdrey (I farmed all the materials myself!). Not making that mistake again, and this time I’m just gonna buy the junk.

You need the Mysterious Vine to make the Cultivated Vine, and you need the Cultivated Vine to make Mawdrey. Everything required in the entire process is considered to be “making Mawdrey.”

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I personally don’t like being in combat that slows the speed.

1. Then don’t get into combat, the AI in this game is so bad you can often just avoid getting hit in the first place
2. If you get into combat and are using zerker meta build you should be able to kill the mob very fast or just run away to ooc

PvE is not an issue at all, why on earth would it be.

Its more of a WvW thing where one thief or warrior or ranger will hit you with one shot and all there buddies who are not in combat will catch you and jump on you like an animal in heat during mating season

So, working as intended?

we need more Invetory space Anet.

They’re mostly armor sets of the same stats. Only different runes and skins. But being able to switch runes quickly in WvW roaming is a great help before some fights.

I also already spend 20 transmutation charges or so per week across my characters. I would have to buy close to 300 transmutation charges a day to satisfy my need to look good if I were to only have one set of armor.

Well, that’s an interesting way you have chosen to use your available inventory space, but it doesn’t represent a necessity for the game to have an increased capacity.

Heroic Chests for the Unlucky Ones Maybe???

I’m a paying customer. I paid for the Digital Deluxe version of the game. If Digital Deluxe/Heroic is now pinned with the Heroic Chest, it should absolutely be awarded retroactively. That’s called good customer service. Yes, I am feeling entitled; I continue to pay for this product.

You do realize that the whole point of the heroic edition is to offer an incentive to new players who need to play catch-up with the existing player-base, right?

Also, as there is no subscription, you do not “continue to pay for this product.” You continue to pay for new products which ANet offers, at your own discretion.

So the gem store purchases within the game are not part of the product? What other game am I paying for?

Gems are a product within the game. You pay for additional currency with real money and after this you choose in-game currency (gems) to buy other services. So at first you bought a game but every gem purchase is a new transaction for new product.

Semantics. Some people are seriously bored today…

It’s not semantics. You make it sound like you’re continually paying just to play the game, and that you deserve some sort of extra reward for doing so. You don’t. I don’t either. If you choose to pay for gems, you are charged a specific amount and receive a specific product in return, no more, no less.
