Listen to me well, this is how to fix the Warrior Class, these will be ridiculous because that is pretty much what we need to counter the complete fail we have as a class. We currently take much more damage then every other class due to the fact we have no get out of jail free cards, no stealth, poor condition removal, vulnerability to conditions, no cheesy evades, no free blocks, and last but not least, no protection or damage reduction.

Lets start by looking at our heals.

Healing Surge (Cooldown: 30)
Gain protection and adrenaline. Cures burning, poison, torment, and bleeding.
Healing: 9,820 (1.50)?
Protection: 4 s
Adrenaline: 30


Lets look at our traits.

Defense Tree

- Remove Thick Skin.
Replace with: Blind Rage. When blinded, cure blinds and become immune to blinds for 4 seconds, gain 4 seconds of quickness. (Cooldown: 15)

- Cull the Weak: Weakness you apply last 50% longer. Increases damage to weakened foes by 5%.

- Sure Footed: Increases Stance Duration by 25%. Reduces cooldown of stance skills by 20%. When a stance ends gain 5 seconds of protection.

- Spiked Armor: Gain 5 seconds of Protection and Retaliation when struck with a hit that takes more then 10% of your life. (Cooldown: 10)

- Adrenal Health: Gain health when you gain a strike of adrenaline. Gain health based on Adrenaline levels. (Instead, you get more healing when its lower, not higher.)
(At level 80, the amount healed per strike is 69 + 0.1 * Healing Power.)

(Currently it goes against the idea of “Holding your Adrenaline.”)


Tactics Tree

- Remove Determined Revival:
Replace with: Determination: Increases all healing the warrior receives by 15%.

- Remove Fast Healer:
Replace with: Death Watch: Increases revive speed by 15%, healing skills reset while reviving. (Cooldown: 60s)

- Remove Reviver’s Might:
Replace with: Fierce Commander: Utility skills heal the warrior for double. In addition, your allies gain might for 15 seconds every 3 seconds, as long as you are holding a banner.

That is all i’m touching, I feel this would give us the sustain and healing traits we need to survive in SPvP, each one is calculated against what other classes receive for traits and I believe that they are fair.

Class Description.
As a heavily armored soldier profession, warriors are only second to guardians in terms of enduring punishment.

Classes that are good at Enduring Punishment by List:
- Ranger. (Evade Spam/Mobility/Protection/Vigor/High Regeneration/Takes considerably less damage when almost dead.)
- Guardian. (Constant Protection/Vigor/High Regeneration.)
- Elementalist. (Constant Protection/Vigor/Regeneration.)
- Engineer. (Constant Protection/Vigor/Regeneration.)
- Mesmer. (Evades/Invuln Spam/Blinks.)
- Thief. (Evade Spam/Stealth Spam/Teleports.)
- Necromancer. (Bad Traits, Life-force doesn’t trait well with other skills.)
- Warrior. (No protection/Poor Condition Removal/Bad Traits.)

I love being a child class, since I need to hold everyone’s hand in pve/pvp to make myself effective!

Having little access to sustain or protection or anything to keep me in the fight is taking a toll on my gameplay, I can’t stand the blandness of adrenaline since nobody seems to use it ever. We have little to no healing options either, honestly we should have MORE healing then other classes due to having little to no condition removal.

5: Dark Armor: Gain 400 toughness when channeling.
(Move the Jagged Horror to the I Trait.)

15: Shrouded Removal: Remove a condition when entering Death Shroud.
(Move Protection of the Horde to the VI Trait.)

This benefits all Necromancers, 5/15 traits that only effect one build should not exist, plus its annoying since almost every necromancer takes these traits.

Shrouded Removal could also convert the condition into a buff.

Don’t change anything you’ve added already, if something is OP, add new skills to other classes that are on-par, then add new skills to those classes beyond that.

Don’t play Whack-A-Mole and ruin current abilities please..

Obviously you didn’t play GW1.

The massive power creep caused by the addition and buffing of new skills over the years majorly damaged balance and produced a really dysfunctional meta.

I also heard that game was funner and more balanced then this one. Funny huh?

I think the karka video was a troll. Every class can solo the vet karkas it just takes along time.

Dude… Warriors have the LEAST get out of jail free cards. of any class. IF WE SCREW Up, we lose.

Meanwhile, if a mesmer screws up, he can portal away multiple times, so can thief. Rangers can use buttons and swoop away and evade and has much higher regen and better traits and can kite as well. Warriors are just horrible at high-end pve.

Please nerf one hundred blades and add more boons like protection to the class so we can survive a fight. Also make us more mobile.

If our high damage is making us not want to be buffed and actually viable, then please nerf our damage and add some defense. Make our attacks more mobile so a dodge roll and aegis and blinds won’t completely negate some of our attacks damage.

Give us a reason to use adrenaline and gain adrenaline stacks. There is nothing that gives us anything when we get stacks of adrenaline, but there are traits that give us more stacks? Why? Have us deal additional damage or heal every time we get a stack of adrenaline and give us a reason to use burst.

Here is a fun trait that I just came up with in 5 seconds:
Blind Retribution: Heal whenever your blinded.

Turtle’s Defense: Gain Protection for 2 seconds when crippled, chilled, stunned or immobilized. (5 second cool-down.)

Embrace the Pain: Gain Adrenaline and Endurance when hit.

Considering that the previous daily could be done in like, 5 minutes, I don’t see the issue. I still think the dailies are easy to do, personally, and I’m a bunker warrior.

Considering a match lasts 7-13 minutes per match depending on how good…

This change just makes people want to do custom maps/kill trading.

There are a lot of areas in this game I love, however for role-playing sake it would be very nice if you made them a bit more open with less NPCs so we can role-play and or have guild meetings or open discussions, fun things.

For example, adding empty houses, empty caves around the world, little things for players to find and use.

The reason the thief class gets nerfed is most of our skills punish players for not paying attention and not playing there class to its fullest potential.

Thieves don’t have good DPS. (This isn’t burst damage, thieves have the best burst damage, but in dungeons our DPS is mediocre, even less then a necromancers if you could parse it, because after the burst, we cannot really do anything, whilst other classes can switch out weapons and keep burning there CDs.)

Thieves have very little utility besides an aoe stealth on a long CD. (Great, every minute and half I can stealth everyone!)

Thieves cannot really buff the group, unlike every other class. (AOE Venoms? lol, they don’t stack and are all gone in one auto attack, and its limited to only five players.)

Thieves only have two viable weapon sets. (D/D, Short-bow, the other sets are all “ok” but mostly mediocre compared to D/D, Short-bow.)

Thieves have SEVERAL under-powered traits, but also very good ones. (almost 75% of our traits are worthless, or were nerfed to the ground in beta, pretty much every thief you see is the same, there almost is not any difference.)

Thieves are the worst PVE Class. (We don’t bring anything good to the table, we can’t help the group, we have poor survivability, and we don’t do much DPS over a long stretch of time, our blinds are worthless against bosses, where you actually need them.) [Honestly, have you ever seen us in PVE? we have to kill something…then WAIT for our skills and initiative to come back up… then do it again, every other class can just go to the next mob, in big events we feel punished for this.]

Did you notice mostly all thieves are the same? whilst almost every other class has something special to do, all thieves mostly are the same.

Why? We have nothing else going for us, pistols are not viable, P/D,D/P are troll weapons at best, and sword dps was nerfed to the ground.

We have: Burst Damage and Stealth, that is it.

This is a list of warrior traits I added to make the warrior more interesting as a class, most of these traits are spread around far so you cannot gain them all unless you want to sacrifice something.

Traits:

Juggernaut’s Tenacity
Grandmaster Trait, Strength tree.
Healing received on skill activation, heals intensify the closer to death you are.
100%-70%: 10 + (1 * Level) + (0.02 * Healing Power)
70%-33%: 20 + (2 * Level) + (0.033 * Healing Power)
33%-0%: 30 + (3 * Level) + (0.045 * Healing Power)


(Merge Missile Deflection/Shield Mastery.)
Indomitable
Grandmaster, Defense Tree.
Convert a condition into a boon when you gain a bar of adrenaline.


(Merge this trait and furious.)
Adrenal Sustain
Grandmaster, Arms Tree
Gain health when you gain a strike of adrenaline.
Gain an extra strike of adrenaline when you critical hit.


Empowered Defenses
25: Tactics.
Remove a condition when granting a boon to yourself. (Cooldown: 5s )


Enduring Adrenaline
15: Tactics
Gain a small amount of endurance (5 out of 100.) when you gain a strike of adrenaline.


Determined Revival
5: Tactics
Gain 25% damage reduction to your ally while reviving an ally.
Increases revive speed by 25%.


Thick Skin
5: Defense
Increases damage reduction the closer you are to death.
100%-70%: 5% damage reduction.
70%-33%: 10% damage reduction.
33%-0%: 15% damage reduction.


Adrenal Health
15: Defense
Regenerate health based on adrenaline level.
1 bar: heals 80 + (0.8 * Healing Power) per second
2 bar: heals 100 + (0.1 * Healing Power) per second
3 bar: heals 120 + (0.12 * Healing Power) per second


Destruction of the Empowered
Grandmaster trait, discipline tree.
Deal 3% bonus damage per boon on your target.
Heal yourself per hit, per unique boon on the target.

At level 80, the amount healed per boon is 49 + 0.01 * Healing Power

This means if the target has 3 boons, you heal for 150 every time you attack him.

IMPORTANT: Wells are no longer just circles on the ground, each one changes the environment, this makes it harder to tell what to avoid, but easier too.

Animation changes!
1 Well of Corruption makes the area look dead. (like scepter 2.)
2 Well of Blood creates a spring that shoots blood all over.
3 Well of Darkness shrouds the area in darkness.
4 Well of Power makes the area look like spirit energy (glowing green.)
5 Well of Suffering distorts the area a little, making chaotic energy.
6 Focused Rituals trait makes little skeleton hands come out of the ground each second for a piece, looking like they are grabbing things. (much like scepter 2.)

How to counter stun-locking warriors.

This is kind of an effort to help new necromancers and get warriors fixed, the only way is to make something that “they-think” is good not good.

How to beat a stun locking warrior:
- Use Minions, most of there stuns only can hit one target, so always be moving with your minions, watch them skull crack a minion and it explodes on them for lulz. (for even more laughs, play an asura that is colored exactly like the minions in tiniest form!)

- Use Soldier runes and mainhand dagger for the heal and the immobilize, this makes warriors useless since they have to run up and hit you, don’t bother stacking condition damage, your base agony/poison/bleeding/retaliation/power attack is enough damage.

- Use Axe and run away from them and use retaliation as well, each time they hit you they hurt themselves more.

- Use Melandru Runes, remember how warriors say its good? Every class can use it and you can too.

You also have to consider that many people have up to 5 level 80s. It will not invalidate crafting.

Also note that if your server isn’t up to par for Tequatl, crafting will still be your main source for Ascended gear. It’s a win/win scenario. Elites will have exclusive skins, and the rest will have crafted ones.

I think 100% chance of getting a chest if you defeat him is very fair, because you have a random chance of that to get 17 different chests.

Class Mechanic: One-Hand Mastery (Using a one-handed weapon doubles the stats of what it currently has.)

3 (4 Initiative.) Stab:
Stab your foe, causing Vulnerability.
Damage: 236
10 Vulnerability: 6 s
Range: 160

3 (2 Initiative.) Pull. (can be used after you successfully stab.)
Pull your sword from your foe for extra damage.
Damage: 636

(this skill allows you to wait until you need to use your burst, however you can only use it 10 seconds after you use stab.)

4 (5 Initiative.) Dance of Blades
Spin and swing your sword around wildly.
Damage (9x): 1,251
Combo Finisher: Whirl
Range: 160
“allows you to move at reduced speed.”

5 (5 Initiative.) En Guarde
Block the next incoming attack. Riposte your foe and stealth if you block a melee attack. Gain fury if you are not attacked.

Celestial gear is bad in 99% of situations and builds, i’m glad they made this idiotic time-gated-account bound crafting thing on celestial rather than a useful stat set.

I am glad you proved how hilarious you are, I want it for a WELLOMANCER, who uses ALL STATS. I have more then one level 80 character.

A 0/0/10/30/30 Necromancer would benefit greatly from all the stats, and I am actually annoyed since they made it so hard to get.

Pull your head out from that dark place for a second. No other armor in the game has these restrictions and honestly for that build that armor set is the best, because it has everything I need, Condition Damage, Healing Power, Toughness, Power, Vitality, Critical Damage. It has it all.

Now I’ve been a theorycrafter for years since old PreCU SWG, just because you can’t see something does not mean other players can. Quit being rude and let others enjoy the game.

I see a bunch of posters from Guardian, Thief, almost every kind of forum screaming for nerf and balance when Warrior is still one of the weakest classes in the game, nobody wants them for SPVP and they are wanting to nerf us even more then we already are.

I hate the stuns, however counter-play is nessessary, in LoL a new hero with a new skill always comes in to destroy the current meta until a new hero (or build.) is made, and this is no exception. We were given stuns to combat the current condition meta.

We still have low damage.
We still have poor sustain (can be easilly kited/killed.)
We are still one of the hardest classes to play. (High Skill cap, can’t make mistakes.)

My full zerker warrior does just fine without silly heal to full food. Then again, I’m not the cookie cutter greatsword hundred blade zerker. I’m a 70% boon duration sword/axe giant asura zerker warrior

With the new ascended gear coming out, please remove the requirements on crafting. It is stupid that one set requires a /gating/ while every other crafting material/items in the game do not.

Make:
Charged Quartz Crystals non-account bound (Tradable.)
All Celestial Armor/Trinkets/Jewelry (Tradable.)
Remove the level 80 requirements on learning the recipes.

Crafting Professions are meant to craft and to sell there goods to make money, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to sell gear you make. Period.

This allows people with certain traits to become immune to movement based conditions, please lower it to 20% or add a global cool-down so it only reduces one condition by 40% every 5 seconds.

Now I’ve seen everything.

I hate the new shoulders appearance because it lacks the rest of the armor, I like how they look however.

It looks like cybernetic armor, however it is the only piece of the set that doesn’t matter.

I wanna see cybernetic limbs and arms and even chests where you can see through the guys body and see the metal parts. Actual Cybernetics.

I understand wanting to make dungeons hard but to the difficult that anet ramp it up to is ridiculous because were the difficult is set at this point will make veteran player stop playing or helping newer player i try taken 2 different groups of newer low lvl player into the dungeon and can make it past the first boss because the adds kill everyone in one hint

I don’t mind making things harder, but taking away viable dungeon builds and nerfing the fun out of the game… WHILST making content harder is sort of a slap in the face.

(I could also rewrite this to apply “1” stack of confusion on myself for 10 seconds, which would basicly be killing myself every time I use an ability, even autoattack.)

Can Shield Stance’s CD be reduced from 30 to 20?

It doesn’t really make any sense that the tool-kit’s shield has way less of a CD, its a tool-kit as well while this is an off-hand slot.

I feel that Shield Stance is very underwhelming, as is the shield itself.

Shield Master – Gain Protection for 6 seconds after using a Shield skill. Shield skills recharge 20% faster. (It will gain the boon when “Shield Stance” ends.)

See how his health goes up to 100% every 3 seconds from 75%? That is what sustain means.

Your just a punching bag with a lot of HP, if your pressured by anything you will go down immediately. 1v1s will not pressure you and this guy is taking on 3 people, out-healing you…

Is there anything you can do to help thieves in SPVP? They don’t do as much sustained damage and they have almost no staying power and limited mobility. I laugh every time I see a thief on my time, each match is starting to get like this.

Most thieves can’t even hurt me. Most of there damage is a total joke and they are annoying and just warp in and out of the battle.

((There was another thief in the match, but he pretty much left.))

-How to reproduce issue: Put on a coat or a skirt and see their poofy rears/skirts.

Sylvari Male Skirts have been bugged for ages to be poofy and need a serious fix.

This is just one example.

Please fix Male Sylvari Skirts/Coats!

This bug currently effects “ALL” male sylvari coats/plate skirts, however it does not seem to affect light armor. (I could be wrong, but I only play medium/plate armor sylvari.)
