the point of esport and leaderboard, as the title ask, is here just for the internet kitten or e-kitten. wow omg i am on ladder u suck im god. kneel to me gg no re.
shame is this game needed it 6-7 months ago.im trying new game free to play, every one is closed or open beta, and u know? they have more esport potential than gw2 in release buy to play etc etc.
btw as a only tpvp player i can say u this thing: i watched some gw2 stream and i think that wvwvw is more enjoyable to watch than tpvp, even if pro stream.
cya on smite
Smite has sooo many characters and so many metas compared to GW2. Can’t even compare the games.
If GW2 had more customization and everything wasn’t nerfed to uselessness every month, this would be a rather healthy game.
Each month, the devs TAKE away something without adding anything new OR filling the hole…

Can you sell us an item that can color weapon skins? It would not only make a lot of money but use our dyes as well.
We could just pay you every time we want to dye our weapons.

We still have low damage.
We still have poor sustain (can be easilly kited/killed.)
We are still one of the hardest classes to play. This is lulzy coming from the highest damage, and one of the highest sustain class. It’s also the class that is widely considered to be ez-mode and faceroll.
Gaurdians/Rangers/Engineers/Thieves all have higher sustain.
Rangers have higher sustained damage, Guardians have higher Sustained Damage, Thieves have higher burst damage.
Please go back to your own forums.
Since when do thieves have higher sustain? If they’re in stealth they can’t do anything except regen health which is still lower than healing signet PASSIVE…
Warrior is widely regarded to do the most DPS, a lot more than ranger and guardian for sure. As far as burst DPS, warrior wins with hundred blades. Nothing can touch that.
0/0/30/0/0 Shadow Arts is an amazing tree, stealth means you can still be hurt but if you know your class and others you can avoid damage easilly.
Hundred Blades is the easiest attack to avoid in the entire game to any class.
If your dieing to it, AS A THIEF.. then I suggest getting a new pair of hands. The counter to hundred blades is moving out of the way, with a class that has multiple teleports and ways to escape this is easy. I’ve never died to 100b on my thief, even with the prenerf bullsrush+quickness+100b combo, it is SO easy to see it coming.
A guardian has Whirling Wrath, which is a hard to avoid attack unlike hundred blades because you can move and combo with it to pull foes to you, you can also use it to cleanse conditions as well (things that would prevent it from hurting your target.) Whirling Wrath is better in every way because it has MOBILITY.
Stop looking at big numbers, in PVP its mobility that matters.
Not all thieves have 30 in shadow arts though. I know I don’t. And you’re still forgetting that while in stealth thieves don’t do damage. Those that stay in stealth and never come out are just trolling. When they come out to actually do some damage, they got no more sustain!
Now let’s see, skull crack can be used every 7.5 seconds and most thieves only carry 1 stunbreak, 2 at max. Eventually you’ll be stunned then killed. How to dodge when stunned?
Besides it is well know that warrior has the highest mobility nowadays especially with sword/warhorn and greatsword. Literally 3000 range on a fairly short cooldown.
As a thief I can set a trap, then when i’m almost dead, teleport 10,000 meters out.
As a ranger I can now stealth with longbow, switch to greatsword and swoop away.
As a warrior I can… still be kited… with chill that 3000 range turns to 1020… lulz

Currently, Whirling Wrath does more damage then DS.

This argument is basically another “easy mode” plea. To get four (4) shots at a random Ascended weapon, regardless of completing the event, is basically like asking Anet to provide free Legendaries for each character you own.
Here’s a tip for you: If you feel Tequatl isn’t worth your time, go kill the Shadow Behemoth. He has a new 15 minute timer too, but you can still kill him in under 3 minutes.
You don’t know what your talking about and have no idea what your saying. It is kind of rude to skim over posts without reading them.

The PvP Daily before was FUN. I never looked at it. Now it feels like I have to /grind/ and do exactly what it says, its NO longer fun.

I main a thief, and i can easily say we are like one of the weakest classes right now.
Everywhere i go i feel so insignificant.
Low health pool
Low condition removal
Low direct damage
Low AoEsOther than our 2 attacks (backstab, heartseeker).
There is not one class out there that can’t out-perform us.
Yet we get all off the kittenstorm because we have one OP combo that apparently kitten everyone, everytime.
Since release it’s been downhill for the thief. Nerf after nerf after nerf. And i chose this class because i was sick of my ele being squishy as hell. Now i could be going around and giving suggestions, but i have never noticed any suggestion put into the game at all. I’m not even going to put effort into it.
Everyone is probably going to try proving me otherwise and tell me to L2P, but i’m not giving up on thief, i’m just saying to lay down the kittenstorm.
This is all true, unless you are fighting an idiot.
If you are fighting an idiot, this following is true:
Low Health Pool
Best Condition Removal. (your targets letting you CnD him over and over, a BIG mistake…)
Best Direct Damage. (your target is not moving around and you can get his back easilly.)
Low AOEs.

Do you happen to know if the stun is still improved if you stun the opponent then swap weapons that don’t have the sigil on? E.g. sigil on mace, then swap to GS.
Also, you should try dodging skull crack. It has quite the wind-up. You can run through your opponent to cancel it too (which is pretty easy since he’s likely running at you in an attempt to land it).
If your opponent is an Asura, skull crack looks exactly like the mace auto-attack.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
if it ends up being a 1/2sec cooldown, essentially making it so you can only get 1 heal per attack (few from channeled skilled like PW) essentially making it so you can not AoE spam yourself to full health in large packs of trash or in zergs in WvW then I am ok with the change, still viable for most situations (bosses). Remove its OP in AoE spam situations and the food is fine.
if it is any more than 2seconds I realy ask if any testing is done whatsoever..
also, for those it will make them give attention to those other builds for next month.. if they make this type of change, they need the other adjustment today also, not next month. many will stop playing for the month if its that bad and potentially never come back.
Its made 1-2 builds of each class no longer viable.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
just one thing they did not think about when patching this – the food will be 100% useless like so many other patched things.
Well you still get an exp bonus from kills plus an effect so it’s not totally useless. ;P
I love the way you think
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Conditions, even ones that do damage do not account as direct attacks.
If they did then Thief would be ruined, because if we had a stack of bleed on you for example, we could never stealth because we would be revealed each tick.
It does not make sense either.

It would really make me happy

20% base experience bonus for all character under level 80, (1-79) this makes leveling a new character easier for each level 80 character you have, but does not give a bonus to the level 80 characters themselves, this makes re-rolling easier, and also makes people who like to try new things not so limited to one character.

This changes Signet of Malice so its active steals life, and its passive heals you based on damage you do.
Signet of Malice (1¼, 30 second cooldown.)
Passive: 33% of all physical damage done heals the thief. This caps out at 1000 per hit.
Active: Your next attack steals life, damage done this way cannot be mitigated and cannot critical, lasts 15 seconds.
Healing: 3,275 (0.1 power)?
Damage: 3,275 (0.1 power)?
This would bring back burst thief at a sacrifice to the healing slot, but also be a great healing ability.

There is a way to fix your problems my friend, its a little exploit I like to call: “War G”
Click your 80 Warrior, click ‘delete’, then click ‘create’ and click the shield picture, it should be called “Guardian”, then click ‘create’, using this exploit you can immediately fix all your problems your having with warrior.

MY LIST OF IDEAS
Traits
Gain (65-100) health each adrenaline strike.
Hammer/Mace skills give multiple strikes of adrenaline since they are slower.
Cure a condition when you fill a row of adrenaline.
Weapons
1 Gaining Might (small) and Protection (large) when using a hammer.
2 Gaining Regeneration (large) and Protection (small.) when using a shield.

100b does more dmg then whirling wrath
Actually no it doesn’t.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Whirling_Wrath
The spin hits 7 times and throws 7 projectiles, for a total of 14 possible hits on a single target. Damage listed appears to be for all 7 spinning hits and 2 projectiles.
Disabling the “Melee attack assist” option in your settings, which prevents your character from moving into the hitbox of enemies, will allow you to use this skill from the inside of an enemy, hitting with both the melee attack and the projectiles resulting in a substantial increase in total damage to the target.
Its possible to bolster up that damage by another 894. So its really Damage (9x): 1,251 + 894 in projectiles, if you turn off melee thing, it goes up to 2145 (which is 115 more damage then 100b.) (Hundred Blades also takes 2.6x longer to cast.)
However, the damage only works if your standing right on top of your opponent.
It can create even more damage if you count in virtue procs/combo fields.

Warrior isn’t a good class for taking damage.
Light/Heavy armors difference is only 200 toughness.

Staff, used like a melee (not a ranged.) uses one.
It would be unique, because all the other staffs in the game are ranged weapon, whilst this would be melee.
1.
(1) Fierce Strike: (x2): 333 Damage, grants 2 seconds of reveal, range 130.
(2) Fierce Swing: (x2): 444 Damage, grants 2 seconds of reveal, range 130.
(3) Fierce Smash: (x3): 333 Damage, grants 2 seconds of reveal, range 130. (grants short evasion for the duration.) (3/4 second channel time.)
(Stealth) Shadow Strike: Front damage: 804 (0.25 second daze.), Range: 130, Back damage: 406 (if behind, knocks the target down for 2s.), Range: 130 (Although, this would be hard to do since this thief is revealed so much, it would be more of a first strike move.)
2. Mantis Leap: 568 Damage, Combo Finisher: Leap, Range: 600 (3 Int Cost.)
3. Mantis Twirl: Damage (9x): 1,251, Combo Finisher: Whirl, grants evasion while channeling, Range: 130. (5 Int Cost.) (3/4 second channel time.)
4. Fierce Kick: Damage: 481, Knockback: 180. (4 Int Cost.)
5. Cobra Stance: Grant 15s fury, and swiftness and “revealed” (debuff) to yourself. (6 Initative.)
The Staff is an “in your face.” weapon, dealing more damage then conditions, but preventing the thief from going into stealth due to the power of the weapon.
((The damage is from similar abilities with the same effects.))

He thinks each guardian heals everyone in party with AH, and also get heal from AH for each boon the party members get, even if they didn’t apply the boon.
If they both have AH
Per Guardian with Altruistic Healing
guardian who has AH those two boons (gasp) and also heal him!
I think I just proved you wrong.
Now please think before you you think about making fun of someone else, do so intelligently.
I’ve always implied that all guardians involved have the trait. The devil is in the details, and I think you should go back to school and learn a bit more about them.

They should make the reveal debuff happen whether an attack happens or not as this prevents chain stealthing which effectively allows a thief to “reset” a fight when they feel they are losing. All other characters face risks when engaging in combat while the thief can effectively attack then stealth away. Combined with all the escape mechanisms a thief has ie. shadow returns, crippling traps, caltrops etc. it technically allows a thief to troll other players which i feel is detrimental to player enjoyment……
Really many other games had stealth as an ability but it always came with a penalty, ie slow move speed, high cooldowns, increased vulnerability etc never additional buffs like how GW2 makes it – exactly the opposite (higher speed, regeneration, condition removal, increased damage). IMHO too much benefit is stacked upon an already OP skill which make it impossible for opponents to effectively target you. Its like giving a warrior endure pain with a 10 sec CD. Really people need to think about the two sides of the coin……..
Elementalist can do the same, and get away a lot faster.

I’ve noticed a pattern lately…
Everyone uses the same Traits.
Everyone uses the same Runes.
Everyone uses the same Sigils.
Everyone uses the same Skills.
Can we please have a SIGIL/Rune and Skill Revamp/trait please?
I’m really tired of everyone being the same.
One Example:
Why are pistols not fixed after the year, it should have the SAME speed as ranger’s short bow.
*Why are things like physical skills, venoms, thief traps so bad?"
“Why are underused traits not revamped? You have data, take what people don’t use and give it some frosting!”

…D/D Thieves are quite similar in that they use #1 #2 -or- #3 depending on power/cond build, and #5 and are very effective.
You forget the number 4 to cripple and catch fleeing opponents. Thats … all 5?
P/D is Pistol w/ Offhand Dagger so #5 is Cloak and Dagger which gives stealth. They then use the pistol stealth attack (Sneak Attack) which has decent direct damage, applies 5 bleeds, and uses 0 initiative
It’s direct damage is quite poor, to use effective you should really focus on the bleeds (+duration, +condition damage), which rules out power based weapons (just about everything else)
… Yes, in some the zergs are horrible, but in others you see people try to chain CCs but they are evaded and the thief stealths …
Blind and CC is the way to go, if a zerg fails to catch a thief it’s really their fault. There’s only a limited amount of endurance and stun breaking. It’s more the zerg’s hive-mind that let’s them escape.
What are you talking about with what type of damage sneak attack is? Whether it’s condition damage or power, it still hurts. There are plenty of videos of P/D thieves trolling about nigh invincible. You can bury your head in the sand and pretend they don’t exist, but don’t make pointless arguments to defend it if so.
Also, how does being in a group help anyone catch up to an escaping thief? Between stealth utilities, blinds, swiftness on dodge, SB 5 / Dagger 2, a thief can run from 50 players as well as 1. If you get caught by the zerg, you probably die, but you still have to get caught.
The best way to beat a P/D thief is just ignore him, its not like he can catch up to you or do anything about it.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
1. Get Toughness or Vitality Gear. (This is the single most important step, without health or armor you will melt, this is pretty much 101 against all classes.)
2. Use Dodge/Stun Breaker: Trait for them, there are many classes who have “When you take more then 20% of damage——” Or “When you go below 25% health..” abuse these traits, use your dodge when you think about it.
3. Shut up and listen: All thieves abilities have a unique sound, most of the time you can guess what thieves do or are going to jump you JUST by listening to the sound of there abilities, many people have the sound option off and don’t realize this little secret, this is why most thief veterans have no problem taking down other thieves, I KNOW when your going to steal me… (Can you believe most self-claimed “Elite” players play with there sound off? LOL!)
4. Be Aggressive: sees thief… HES KILLING HER.. THEN HES GONNA KILL ME… OH MY GOOOOOOD…. Thieves have the hardest time out of any class finishing off an opponent, especially backstab thieves due to low hitpoints, low armor, and little endurance regeneration, if you see a friend downed by a thief, immediately rush to that person and autoattack the air, watch your combat log for hits.
5. AOE the ground under your feet: Thieves MUST be in melee range to hurt you effectively, no matter what skill they have, pistol/pistol is worthless, if you successfully counter a thief, Immediately run around in circles and AOE the ground under your feet, this is the WORST possible thing you can do to a thief, almost all of our abilities require flanking.
6. Attack the Air: Most players stand around when they see me go invisible, ATTACK THE AIR, I’M USUALLY behind your back, Turn around and keep swinging, even if you don’t think your hitting me, I die in 2-3 autoattacks.
7. Drop that great sword and use weapons thieves are not familiar with: Part of a thieves life is learning what sounds weapons makes when they attack us and what animations they have, this is because a thief in “pve” dies if we don’t time our dodges properly, this may make us a bit more powerful then other classes just mindset wise because we “must” learn to dodge properly at level 5, whilst other classes don’t really have to learn to dodge at all until level 80, thieves must learn the animations/sounds of attacks/and weapon choices of every class he fights against to properly counter it, this means we have almost no idea how to counter “The Odd Balls” Yes, i’m looking at you Axe/Mace Warrior…

Kay… so you wasted all your skills… and… 30 seconds?

Mug should knock people down and deal damage.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
The rifle is kind of a unique weapon for the warrior, however it has one problem “Kill-Shot”, its meant to be a powerful move that would make a warrior offensive, while the longbow is almost better in every single way. Currently useless in non zerg pvp because of how it works.
Kill-Shot should be a high risk shot that inflicts 7 seconds of “Self-Weakness.” and “10 Self-Vulnerability” on the warror. However be good damage.
With the recent nerf to the greatsword (Making Berserker’s power/The Critical so deep in the trees.) Rifle Damage was really nerfed. If you go 30/0/0/0/30, you can’t get the rifle trait that makes it pierce, so to compensate, instant cast.

Can not compare Warrior’s regen with Guardian’s regen directly. A warrior does not have protection and access to the many boons a guardian has access to.
A Guardian is more sustainable than a Warrior, that is why Guardians are better bunkers.
Hes also comparing Healing Skills to a Class Skill and Traits.
Guardian Hp/s: 448 (adding the healing ability!)
Warrior Hp/s: 512
Guardians have Protection, Blind, Vigor, Aegis, Invulnerability built in.
Warriors have: 64 more Hp/s and a bit more health.
Sounds like a fair trade off to me.

I run a very balanced wvw build that is viable (and I use it) in 300-400+ tpvp. Figure out a way to work quick breathing (Warhorn reduction and condi conversion) into your build and you’ll find some pretty good survivability regarding conditions. There are a multitude of good builds out there for WvW, sadly for pvp it is extremely limited and even then they are only slightly comprable. I build my warrior for tpvp like I do a roaming/support ele and find that it is quite good for this role (team support, survivability and offensive pressure). The warrior is by no means though a thief/engi style class with high amounts of burst and also the means of escapaing/surviving pressure easily. So yes, if you want to play your warrior with a ton of high dps in tpvp, you will get crushed.
So basicly: Don’t play a warrior in TPVP. Got it

I agree Veritas. They didn’t really nerf the food. they fixed it. It was broken. Entire builds were centered around one type of food. If you are glass cannon then you should by no means, be able to heal your enitre health bar with one skill. That’s why they call it “Glass Cannon”
It made all other offensive foods pointless. We have a lot more options now that will work for us.
Less options now actually, they failed to add new builds, but deleted something that makes builds work, that is bad design.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Well, -10% condition duration is nice and not really overpowered, and kind of matches the description.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
In-fact, the more that I think about it.
It helps solve the issues that the classes have. For example Guardians have low critical chance, now if they hybrid they get more critical chance, ect ect. Just an example, it builds more roles for each class without getting to far because of the stat system is the way it is.
