Yeah, it sucks that something timegated to make you craft one a day limits you to crafting only one a day.
/sarcasm
In endgame, high skill runs, Thieves don’t bring much to dungeons other than stealth (don’t underestimate this for skipping trash) and one of the highest dps’ in the game.
In casual runs, you can easily add in a venomshare build or stealth/blast healing.
For Ranger, endgame high skill runs, you want to bring Spotter and Frost Spirit to give allies 150 Precision and 7% damage boost (10% every 10 seconds on one attack after the feature patch if it gets the ICD added). Additionally, Ranger has a lot more “noob” builds, which is why they’re not particularly wanted in dungeons. They have an AI attached to them, and AI in this game is pretty darn horrible, especially considering how much access to AI there is.
For thieves, it’s hard to be bad unless you’re dead, because you have a low health pool and rely heavily on evasion as your damage mitigation.
I thought Kormir was the true, final boss, but she ran away as soon as it was revealed…
If you’re going full hybrid, adventurer isn’t bad because it’s offensive and has defensive built in.
Honestly, I would play around with on-elite-use runes because with CS it’s basically once ever 45-ish (if you maintain max alacrity).
For your traits, just keep in mind that evasive mirror can be useful in some scenarios. Time Catches Up seems useless in my opinion since your illusion gen is going to be close-combat and even if it’s far it’s not a big deal to wait a moment longer.
If you’re running a Scepter anyways, I much prefer Malicious Sorcery over Ineptitude since it lets you pump out your Scepter rotation faster (which is going to be invaluable considering how much you’re casting as a Chrono).
And lastly, Blink is unnecessary in HoT because of Time Marches On and Masteries.
Everybody wants everything as fast as possible. Kids these days! Why, back in my day, we grinded for weeks for a single piece of armor! Uphill! In the snow! Both ways!
Psh, back in MY day, we had to do all that while carrying our sister, cousin, aunt, uncle, mother and backpack all while sick and throwing up.
Have you read the description of Portal? It breaks your Portal if you drop another entrance.
@Tongku
I know of very few cases where I would want to use MI in a Fractal, much less over TW, and I only run 50s.
Let’s go over every fractal:
Aquatic Ruins: People still run this? Time Warp is a sphere here and speeding up the slow boss fight is always a great plus (just be careful with underwater confusion). The trash mobs and running parts don’t need (or can’t use in the case of Dolphin) stealth.
Swampland: Umm… at what point is MI useful? Do you need help going underwater? Is Mossman being annoying? Underwater MI won’t do anything. Mossman annoying you at the Wisp section is easily bypassed with a Portal Entre/Exeunte since he doesn’t spawn at the outskirts (where the Wisps actually spawn). Bossfight, TW is king.
Urban Battlegrounds: If you ran MI, you’d skip one fight… wooooooo. If you run TW, you’ll get the boss significantly lower (and slow his animations so he doesn’t bend everyone over and whip out his greatsword real quick-like) before having to range (if even at all).
Uncategorized: MI helps get you to the top of the first and final segment, skipping the harpies. Of course, at the higher levels, they drop Powerful Blood which is nothing to scoff at alongside the fact that you’re a Mesmer, the profession with the best access to Reflections (post-patch, woooo) and the Harpies only use projectiles.
Snowblind: Mass Invis can be used to assist in the Bonfire and Post-Crystal phases. Post-Crystal makes sense (but 10s is not long enough, so it’s whatever. I can run Prestige Veil Mimic Decoy Decoy Prestige Decoy Prestige Decoy… to solo run that part with PU basically letting my allies revive at the end). TW is much better on the Crystal (if you’re having trouble with ads or just want to burst it) or on the final boss since he’s a poo head. If you don’t use TW on the Crystal, sure, run MI… but that fight is kinda silly since you can just do the ole’ throw dead bodies at it to win trick.
Molten Furnace: Umm… yeah Portal is king here. The only time MI is useful is right before the final boss (skipping trash is hard lyfe) and on the Lever phase. However, the Lever phase does not require stealth and MI will actually screw over anyone on the Lever unless people on the sides reveal themselves (MI is too big a range here). Also, you can’t cast while on the Lever and I personally believe it’s better to have a Mesmer on the Lever while having a Thief stealth them or someone just run back and forth pulling the mobs away. Mesmer isn’t going to be doing much in that part, anyways.
Cliffside: Umm… it’ll help us… umm…
Aetherblade: We can… uhh…
Volcanic: THE BOULDERS WON’T SEE US, BOIZ!
Thaumanova: Oh darn, we got spotted by weak patrolling wolfies because I was running TW.
Underground Facility (Braham/Rox): WE CAN USE IT AFTER THE TUNNEL TO HELP US GET TO THAT SAFE SPOT GUIZ. Or we can use TW to kill everything at the safe spot and use Veil to get past the trash if we REALLY needed stealth.
Solid Ocean Fractal: Umm… the trash runs are too hard, guys…
Molten Boss Fractal: I need help crossing a bridge. Can you hold my hand give me stealth?
Captain Mai Trin Boss Fractal: MI in the cannon phases can be useful, but since everyone just does the revive trick, it’s better to run TW to burst phases (or on the final phase). Although if you use MI, you can time Horrik phases since it lasts 50/60/70s and you can count that with MI cooldown, I guess. But 10s out of that duration isn’t going to be uber helpful, so… yeah…
Out of 14 Fractals, only 2 of them have a use for MI over TW and one of them prevents you from getting Vials of Powerful Blood (the other involves you hoisting a useless elite on an annoying bossfight, unless you use it during that fight to… run to your group?)

While there are a few similarities to the F2P model, NOTHING in GW2 requires gems to play the game (ok, you can argue storage IS a must have).
As a player, I do not feel Anet has “crossed that line” the video discusses. I do NOT think the Devs have conversations about how to milk players of money rather than make a fun game. If you do not agree with THAT belief (you think Anet is intentionally doing everything they can to MAKE money with no regard for anything else), why are you still here?
(Note that last question was not directed at the OP, but every player that is posting in these doomsday threads).
Hate to break it to you, but of course the… “will this make money?” conversation with the devs (and the bean counters) happens … it has to, because the key to their business model is making money and the only way it tends to make money is if it is fun for us.. .. ANET/NCSoft aren’t in this for the charitable publicity.
But that said.. there is nothing wrong in what they are doing and I agree very little of what is available via the TP is actually needed to play the game, no one is forcing the OP or anyone to buy gems to get some new shiny fluff and the things that might be useful, like Storage can merely be earned in game with a little time and patience. So OP… I think you miss the point of how GW2 and traditional F2P models differ… many F2P models actually block your progress through their game content/features etc, etkittenil you buy an unlock or similar.. so let’s not even give them any ammunition.
Examples of popular games from different genres across a “similar” system (not really, but we’ll go with it because apparently b2p is f2p when it comes to this):
Guild Wars 2:
Money makes things easier to obtain what you want, but not what you need. In some cases it can give you an advantage, but never prevents you from doing something.
- Buying Home Nodes allows players easy access to nodes. Long term investment for hardcore players and nice, fun thing for casual players. RP’ers may opt to get these for an added “feel” to their Home Instance, although I doubt that’s the case.
- Unlimited Tools are all cheaper than their in-game brethren (bar 250 use Gathering and Salvage tools [talking about Dissassembler + other Lyns goods, not Mystic Kit] and Silver Fed Rip-Off O-Matic) but more than make up for that cost with a steep Gem price (originally $10, now $12.50). The only exception is Watchwork Mining Pick that offers Watchwork Sprockets. However, since it’s possible to obtain Watchwork Sprockets through other, non-gem store means (and it’s not unreasonable obtaining them), this is not Pay to Win (it is, however, close).
- Boosters do not make up a paywall entrance for this game. While boosters are convenient, particularly the Crafting and Gathering Boosters, they are also attainable free™ through ingame methods. The ingame acquisition, however, is so low that it would be considered p2w if these items were significant in progressing through the game.
- Transmutation Charges are in no way, form, shape, or method Pay to Win.
- Skins… see Tranny Charges.
- Finishers… see Skins.
- Consumables, such as Black Lion Kits, Revive Orbs, etc, are all convenience items. Revive Orbs can be used to maintain a boss fight (however, it does require coordination and awareness to pull it off), but is not necessary to complete the game. It does not make the game any easier, and does not give you an advantage over players without one (but I’m ALIVE, yeah, and you have 1000 HP while moving as slow as an NPC). Black Lion Kits and other consumables are attained through Daily and Monthly rewards in addition to Black Lion Chests, meaning they are easily acquired (moreso than Boosters, at that).
Love the sunday players posting troll mesages on forums ! When an elite skill is nerfed 50% its a big nerf mate , so l2p ! And if you didnt play mesmer in PVE for the TW then YOU played the mesmer wrong !
Okay, so instead of finishing a spell at 50%, you finish it at 75%. Because of that, let’s all stop playing this profession and/or stop using that spell! YAY!
I’ll repeat myself:
I’d rather see the Mesmer utilise more illusionary weapon skills like Greatsword skill 2. Maybe they could have something like a mainhand shield with skill 1 a sort of illusionary shield thrown like a discus, skill 2 an AoE defend with clone generation and skill 3 a targeted AoE attack. Skill 1 could be the opposite of Greatsword skill 1, where the closer you are the greater your damage output.
Captain America is not a Mesmer.
Meh, just join groups believing everyone is terrible and that you are the only competent player (or that there are no competent players, in my case) and then you’re good to go. It’s better to be proven wrong and have succeeded than to be proven wrong while failing.
Optimistic pessimism at it’s ironic finest.
You have to log onto each characters and please go to Mist each first time log into your character to acquire the skins.
I don’t remember having to go to the mists. I do remember just hopping on and it being in my mailbox. Make sure you have open slots in your mailbox.
If you like going to the forums to see or post hypocritical complaints about everything new, you might like Guild Wars 2.
And no, this is not a sly post trying to undermine your thread.
As a proud member of the Statics (although I secretly want to be in the Dynamics cough), I disapprove of this… this… TREE ruining our sacred colleges.
The special animation doesn’t do the set justice in my opinion, I mean, c’mon, lighting? at least the other two have some sort of connection to what they are, magma/lava + rocks, water/vines + plants, random lightning +trees? It’d make sense if I was trying to burn the tree down I guess, btu then I’d get ash, no logs.
All caps necessary for this post (I’ll take the infraction, if need be!):
BUT UNLIKE YOUR LAVA PICK AND YOUR WATER SICKLE, MY LIGHTNING AXE WILL MAINTAIN IT’S PRISTINE QUALITY THROUGHOUT TIME AND SPACE. WHEN GUILD WARS 3 COMES ALONG, YOU’LL BE WALKING AROUND WITH YOUR HANDS EMPTY AND NOTHING TO GATHER WITH, WHILST I, I WILL BE RUNNING ALONG CHOPPING EVERY TREE I COME ACROSS WITH LIGHTNING.
Okay, I’m done.
You’re spending the same amount if you use the stat swap (actually more).
The only reason why it exists is for people who are whining about their current stats and the process of making more AND the ascended boxes obtained from world bosses and fractals.
Personally I’m using kitten gear and I don’t go down as often as my other characters. Being a Chrono helps, though.
The 2s Mirror is via traits, not from the utility skill. I’d like to clear that up. The utility skill ONLY gives you the buff to reset a cooldown by itself.
Create a hotkey to turn your entire keyboard into a mouseclick. Roll your face hand on your keyboard.
The number skill on the bar is fine IMO, the issue is with how dull and un-impactful most skills are.
I’m going to assume you play a Warrior.
Necro. Warrior alt. Close =D
Necro can be extremely engaging. It can also be boringly dull. Early levels for almost all classes are going to be dull (the only way to fix that would be to grant players access to one skill slot at early levels, but it’s not a big deal).
If you’re just going to be a Staff necro dropping marks, of course the game will be boring.
I remember when I showed my friend this game, he was like “I PLAYED GW1 FOR YEARS, AND I PLAYED WOW AND EVERY OTHER MMO.” He proceeded to hop around until he settled on Necro. He then said that Necro was really fun because it was engaging and really intuitive. I watched him play. He sat there spamming 1 with a Staff.
I don’t think he actually played GW1 for years. He probably played it years ago, but not for years.
Wait, you want to give people a FREE Master Salvage Kit that has infinite uses? Do you want the economy to collapse on the poor?
As is stated with a lot of builds, you need to focus into either Phantasms or Shatters. I understand quick-swapping, but you have it set so that it’s still a mixture. There are Domination Adept Shatter Traits, yet you picked a Phantasm trait in conjunction with the Dueling Phantasm trait. Then you look at all the other traits and you went shatters. Consistency, my friend, consistency.
Additionally, if you’re running ConDmg, it’s typically better to have 3 staff clones out versus focusing on Warlock damage (unless it’s a boss that WILL have a ton of conditions on it and last for a while).
Also, if you have friends on a specific server and can’t join them, you can get a free world transfer (infinite times) by deleting all your characters. You’ll still have things in your bank and will be able to access it from any world, so store anything that’s account bound in your bank before deleting.
Otherwise, just join any World (unless you care about WvW in which case research the rankings).
Since new accounts come with a Heroic Edition bonus, I will explain how that works, briefly.
You’ll get a box (I think) which will contain an armorset of your choice. Note that this armorset is purely aesthetic and the choices are locked by armor type (if you pick the Heavy version, you must wear Heavy armor to apply it). I highly suggest picking the one you think looks the best, as opposed to the one which you can use, as you can always make more characters.
If you like them all, you can purchase each of these skins for an additional $10 or ~136g (at current market value, which I don’t expect you to get anytime soon).
Keep in mind that these will unlock in your Wardrobe which means that, as long as you have Transmutation Charges, you can apply them to gear. These Charges can be obtained through PvP, Map Completion, opening Black Lion Chests (think Gacha Boxes), or the Gem Store (roughly 40c (CENTS, not copper) per Charge).
If you want skins that any character can use without using Transmutation Charges, Outfits are great because they can be applied to any character as many times as you want without any additional fee. They can’t mix and match, like armor, though.
Oh right, a few more things (guess this isn’t as short as I expected):
If you ever want to see what skills you can have/use, go to PvP. Note, this will not place you in PvP, but will put you in the Lobby Map where you have access to every skill and trait, bar a few (5 traits and 2 skills + Racial skills). You can then play around with everything.
You will need the weapons for your profession to be able to see what they can do, but there is a merchant that can sell them to you for relatively cheap.
Pick your Race and Profession (class) based on what interests you, not what’s good, overpowered, or needed. You might have a bit of trouble because Arenanet tends to do a good job making everything interesting. Note: Leveling up became a lot harder after April 15th because you no longer start gaining access to traits at level 10 (think Talent trees).
For your Character Creation choices (after you have finished customizing your character) the choices do not affect a lot. Other than your initial gear (or pet, for Rangers), the choices only affect the first part of the Personal Storyline. This means that after level 30 (maybe earlier, I forgot), your story will no longer revolve around those choices.
If you want to, feel free to add me ingame. I most likely won’t be on for another 6 hours or so, but I can respond faster and answer any questions you have.
I think there’s more I wanted to say but I’m about to go eat lunch.
If you’re trying to add me, you can do one of the following:
Press Y or type /invite followed by my name.
For my name type in “Esplen” or “Esplen.3940” both will add me.
I mean, not counting the awkwardness of GS cleave, it does less damage than just auto attacking with high Power. It has undertuned scaling and doesn’t really offer an “ambush”.

- Upgrade Extractor this bad boy gets his own section. Why? Because he sucks. He’s not cost effective at all. If an upgrade and item are both worth >$4.75, then sure, use this. But there are very few items and upgrades that are both worth >$4.75 (looks at my Exotic Valkyrie Pearl Sword of Generosity, 2g item with a >75g upgrade. 75g is enough to make it worth it to use the Upgrade Extractor, but the actual weapon is worth 2g. Since the weapon isn’t a Karma/WvW weapon, I can use a Salvage Kit, therefore Black Lion is much more cost-effective. An example where this is useful is if you have a Superior Sigil of Generosity and an Ascended Weapon. However, even then you might be better off just making another Ascended Weapon unless you want to sell the Sigil.)
- Home Instance Node… don’t make me slap you. This thing sucks unless you’re a Human, Charr, or Norn. Also, you can just press B and get the same thing without spending $11.25
- Bank tabs, collectible expander, and inventory expansions do not turn into pay to win. You do not need them to succeed at the game. If you do, however, play the game seriously, they are good investments (to the point where at times you might think you need them), but they are not necessary in any way. You might have to change your playstyle if you don’t want to get them, but that’s a cost you have to deal with. Additionally, you can make personal bank guilds which contain 200 slots for 105g, which is less than $10 if you were to use that to make gems. Inversely, if you were to make a personal bank guild with gems to gold, it would cost you roughly $14.50 for 200 slots versus spending $10 for 30 slots. The difference is that one lets you use account bound things, the other doesn’t.
- Character slots are also not necessary to “win”. Additionally, these can be seen as inventory slots, which is more cost effective than getting a bank tab or inventory slot, potentially more (in some cases less) cost effective than getting a collectible expander, and definitely still less efficient than getting a personal guild bank.
Moving onto other games, let’s look at League of Legends.
This game is free to play, caters to whales, and still doesn’t implement pay to win. It’s entirely possible to obtain everything (bar aesthetic inclusions) for free through sheer dedication. It isn’t rng drops that are skipped through wallet tossing, but it is a slow process. However, paying for things does not inherently make you win and in most cases doesn’t do anything at all except allow you to enjoy variety at your own pace (instead of the weekly pool of free champions). If you are going to say that it’s possible but not plausible to obtain everything in League of Legends for free, I would like to disprove you and say I have every champion, 20 rune pages, and pretty much every rune I could possibly want and do not toss my wallet at the game. I did used to buy skins that I enjoyed and did splurge on a few of the champion release packs, but 95% of non-“gem store equivalent”-only items I have are attained through IP (aka ingame currency).
And no, I don’t play it that actively. And yes, I’m able to buy each new champion as they’re released even at their increased first week price.
Crafting from 1 to 400 is expensive it always has been 8-25g each depending on what one.
That’s a lie. It hasn’t always been 8-25g.
Fun fact: while I was writing this post, I was informed twice over teamspeak that in my AFK spot I was being attacked, and when I tabbed into the game in the midst of an event (riot of some kind) I was actually pretty healthy and managed to fight to the end of the event… though a bunch of people who had been actively fighting already when I tabbed back in were getting downed. This is a pretty good example of what I see all over the place really: it’s painful and annoying to me, fatal for others.
That’s probably because that event dishes out confusion and the enemies have retaliation. Don’t pay attention to this and you’ll down yourself. Upscaled players not used to all the conditions can easily down themselves, especially with burst skills. I had to be very careful as a FT engi.
This is a problem with Southsun and not with the event. It caters towards players with reflect, for the most part, and so players who aren’t used to modifying their builds for new zones will find great trouble in this area. That, and not all classes have a lot of reflects.
I use SoM for the 10% boon duration.
I would like to have armor that looks like Grenth.
As a locust, I don’t disagree with the time-gating, and I’m glad that they put it in.
Just remember, with each unexpected failure comes experience. With each unexpected success comes failure.
It’s a little more complicated than that. It’s something more along the lines of psuedo-meta-sarcasm. It shows the irony in some of the ridiculously threads in this forum asking for things that are just plain silly. I would have thought that someone would have gotten it, someone usually does…
Weekly on Fridays at roughly reset time, until roughly 30 minutes to an hour after reset time.
They send them out in waves, you’ll get yours within the week.
Just wait for Chronomancer and you’ll be able to Shatter the Phants twice.
4 Blinks. 4 Feedbacks.
I hope you realize you’re a few days and nearly a hundred threads too late.
Could be he had stealth from another source and used his own stealth and then one of the stealths ended and he was “revealed” (not really).
He then got hit by some stray projectiles and/or AoE’s and blamed it on his stealth skills.
But Revealed makes more sense in this case.
I heard we were getting mounts with cloaks/capes
You forgot the Guild Halls.
Dungeoning isn’t like any other game. Take WoW. You go to Wailing Caverns to get new gear.
Here, you don’t go to dungeons to get new gear, unless you’re level 80. Dungeons are just a place to enjoy yourself and/or work towards getting level 80 gear. You can use dungeon tokens to buy gear at that dungeons level (AC would give level 30 rares) but it’s not actually worth it, because the effort put in would require you to be level 35+ and you’re getting level 30 items back.
If you want to experience dungeons, I would suggest going to the Trading Post, giving yourself a budge (of say, 1g) and then buying gear. Focus on getting as high of a tier item on your Chest, then Pants, then Helm, then everything else. This is because they give the most stats. Make sure you don’t spend more than 1g.
If you feel weak, do this (at most) once every ten levels.
The best way to get gear, however, is to spend your karma on it. Also, don’t forget to buy runes. Low tier runes are ridiculously cheap. You can get +60 power (6 +10 power runes) for less than 10s. Make sure you get 6 different runes so that you always get the first rune effect. You can then use Transmutation Crystals (if you have a lot of them spare) to move the runes from item to item, or you can buy more when you finish using an item.
I have a level 23 Guardian that’s wearing level 0 gear because I put runes into it and it’s still stronger than what I can get. The only problem is I now don’t have the natural armor from upgrading my gear, so I’m squishy, but I hit hard.
Dear lord, how about they nerf necro passive fears instead?
Warrior has nerfs coming; they haven’t even -dropped-.
I’m totally for a nerf to nightmare rune and reaper protection if hard counters like berserker stance / diamon skin don’t exist
How about both of them not exist and we just hit each other with sticks.
I’m down, my Mesmer has 6 Wooden Swords in my inventory/equipment.
The only way that would really fit the mechanic of a sigil is if you’re turning people you hit into norns and giving them +10% might duration
10% chance to cleave in an area, hitting everything and yourself for damage based on how drunk you are.
Everyone hit by this attack will grow a beard or moustache with size based on how much they were hit for.
Beard and/or moustache is hidden if post-processing is disabled.

And then to an actual pay to win game that caters not only to casual whales but also hardcore whales. Maplestory.
Sure, you might say that Maplestory isn’t a pay to win game, that you can get entirely to endgame without being “funded” (not entirely true, as long as we’re talking about GMS, and yes I have played on KMS where it isn’t pay to win).
The reason why Maplestory is pay to win is because after a certain point, to improve, you must spend real money. It is technically possible to improve through drops, however you’re relying on RNG drops that are intentionally low to the point of non-existent bar that one guy everyone is yelling at, to have a chance, just as low, of improving your items.
The reason why not all Maplestory official servers are pay to win is because in KMS (I have not played JMS or TMS or EMS or MSea, although I hear bad things about TMS, EMS and MSea) basically every event shop comes with these pay to win items, meaning it’s entirely possible to “create” a godly weapon over time. It’s not reliant on super low RNG (although it technically is, since you are still re-rolling your stats, but so are the people that pay real money) and it isn’t unreasonable to obtain.
And for the casual whales, they have “gem store outfits” which you can put on over you clothes to improve you visuals. There are some items that give stat advantage or gameplay advantages, such as pets who can loot, buff, and even use potions for you. However, they are also attainable ingame as drops. In KMS, the outfits are permanent (bar the ridiculously cheap sales which are about 1/10 of the price and last for 365 days). In GMS, the outfits last 3 months (last I checked) at the same price. Additionally GMS used to (still does, maybe?) have skill books that required you to use the gem-store equivalent to purchase them as certain classes, meaning that if you were playing those classes you could not progress your skills past a certain point, thereby creating a paywall. In KMS, the skill books were not implemented in the gem store and were released as boss drops.
Do note that KMS came out before GMS and is the furthest out of all Maplestory servers. It has also been the most fair of all Maplestory games, even though Nexon has a lot of sneaky schemes with the game. A LOT. I can keep going on about how Maplestory is bad (even KMS has bad, I just didn’t touch on it).
Tl;dr: GW2 is not P2W, not even with the Watchwork Mining Pick. I bought one and while I do admit that it is silly that it has an advantage over all other mining picks, it isn’t pay to win. If they change it, I will be fine, although I would like to ask for a refund because I bought it specifically for the fact that it has an advantage since I have a legacy Molten Pick. Just my few cents… or dollars, I guess..
“eww we have all these ethereal fields. I know that almost no other class has them and none with our number, but I want a FIRE field.”
eww, we have this Mercedes without the engine but with this nice unique pink color, but I want a WORKING car!
I’m from another family and I don’t want you having a working car. Reasons.
I don’t know about anyone else, but seeing a commander with a vanity tag will lead me to question why he did not just spend that gold on siege and food.
Do you have poor commanders ? It’s so common to see a commander run around with a legendary.
Only one? Man, your comms are poor.
I think GW2 Hard Modes would be better if they followed a style similar to GW1.
- Instanced zone (can join with parties, but not open world).
- If anyone left the party the instance would continue (so we don’t have “host” issues).
- No mob respawns (until you leave/re-enter).
- List of Dynamic Events with only a certain amount happening for each map. Each different Dynamic Event will be 1-X points, and until Y points have been reached, Dynamic Events will occur. (No repeats, unless a chain was failed and has the potential to start over.)
- If there is a world boss, it will (or may) appear after the map has been vanquished.
- All mobs difficulty scales up.
- Harder Down Penalty (it stays on you until you kill mobs, reducing it’s effect slowly).
Well, to be make it simpler, they could do one of a few things, bar the Merchant:
If you use the TP Contract, you can withdraw from the TP anywhere, anytime. No NPC spawned (it clutters the “mercenary” usability space and tricks players).
Bank tab is added to all hero panels under crafting. This can be used to VIEW your bank. Everything is grayed out and immovable unless a bank contract, crafting station, or banker is near you. (Same goes for Collectibles.)
Possible to access makeover kit as part of wardrobe section. Hair changes may be completed for free with contract on any character. Could also use this to convert makeover and full makeover to transmutation charges, but that might make you lose some money. Previewing facial/body changes along with armor would definitely be appreciated, though. Problem with this could be changing gender in preview.
Merchant contract will add a “sell junk” button to your inventory gear in addition to having a button next to it that will open up the Merchant window to buy or sell. Right clicking items will show “Sell to merchant” if sellable. Items above green rarity will show a confirmation, enticing players to open up merchant window.
Mystic Forge Conduit or Node… should still just be usable as they are.
Story-wise this dungeon makes no sense.
That was very insightful. I think we can all take a moment to learn from your amazing post.
In the current state, the only Ambush worth spamming (even with IH) is Scepter. If they buff the rest of the Ambushes to be usable by themselves and then have IH scale accordingly, it would be an actual choice.
Me too, with my pe-….
