I know Anet desperately wants condi guard to be a thing, and i think after this patch it could definitely be viable. Doom sigils/perplex runes, with 30/30/0/0/10 mix of rabid/carrion. Dont forget retaliation is basically a new condition unique to guardians now with 30 radiance. Its also unclean sable and punishes a lot for multi hit attacks/fast attacks
With no Sustain on a Condi build, the build will fail. Necro’s can do it because of Life Force and 25k hps. They don’t need +healing or regen.
Do this to a guardian and you’ll be obliterated due to the simple fact that we dont’ have enough HP"s to wait for our Condi’s to spread.
Anet can’t figure it out (They’ve publicly stated this) and won’t listen to it’s playerbase TO figure it out.

Zeal & Radiance are decent traits, but they are not GM Traits and the builds to use these (which they would be good if traiting a 30/30/x/x/x) is non-existent… There is ZERO sustain within these traits and running around with 11k hp and 2200 armor as a guardian w/ no soft CC, poor mobility outside of GS/S+F, and no lockdown methods….

And don’t give me that crap that we have “Blocks”… that’s good for the 1v1 and 1v2 scenario (yes, it’s quite good and I absolutely agree), but for anything other it’s utter junk. GARBAGE…
Blinds are good, but then again, you’re stuck with GS + S/F…. what about the Mace, Hammer, Torch, Scepter, Shield, Staff…. There’s no blinds on those… and to say that the compensating boons/utility of those weapons outshines Blinds would be absolutely ridiculous… because if I’m DPS, the regen will tick for another 120pts, the Protection (if you get it off) will last 2s and the knockbacks are so far spread out w/ the long cooldowns…. why even bother?

Everyone, EVERYONE, has stated time and time again, Valor and Honor are FINE. In fact, they’re really really good…. SO STOP kittenING WITH THEM AND FOCUS.
Change what’s needed ANET. Zeal & Radiance. Provide some sustain within those trees, allow us to EFFECTIVELY spec into a DPS build w/o sacrificing EVERYTHING to get to standard deeps that every other class has… because 11k HP and a 79 hps Resovlve is NOT kittenING SUSTAIN.

Devs: “Guards need Condi, let’s just increase their burning damage, that should make them happy”….

Rather – they’ve realized just how broken their classes are in light of everything, are now focusing solely on PvE, where nothing really matters.
Beta is a testing phase … obviously you haven’t learned that the fact they changed it to lower HP after testing means that Guardians with high HP had an unintended impact to the game.
Rather, lowering the HP after testing has had an unintended impact to the game as progression has allowed for most every most other Zerker class to, in fact, put a guardian down within 2 hits.

HP is a problem for Zerker guardians in anything other than 3v3’s. Anyone who says otherwise really doesn’t understand WvW mechanics.

Too bad the actual combat in that game isn’t that good. It’s not worth a subscription.
ESO’s in combat Movement, Panning and skill use is HORRIBLE: It’s amost impossible to attack while panning around you to see where you’re being hit from.
However, the pvp system is soo much better than GW2’s PvD system.
That’s because you’re using what basically amounts to Elder Scrolls Movement system as an MMO.
Let me guess, You’re still using Mouse 1 and 2 for Swinging your Weapon and Blocking right?
I use an N52TE pad.. and a Naga, There is no way I could play like that, So what i did was changed my Mouse 1 and 2 to Forward and Backwards like I have it in GW2.
and I simply made My normal 1 and 2 Keys that I use for my 1 and 2 abilities in GW2 my Weapon Attack, and my Blocking Key, This allowed me to basically play the game in Mouse look like I normally do in MMO’s

Might not have been your intention, but you inadvertently did.
Apparently GW2 WvW’ers weren’t buying enough Finishers to make it worth Anet’s time to invest in Balance / Updates in a more reasonable fashion of time… /cough – more than once every 6 months.
Stagnant game play (development) in WvW and a lack of clear direction w/ an end goal is what kills it. It could take the form of: Loot, Noticeable Buffs so you can PvE content faster, progression to WvW specific Abilities, Zone Unlocks, etc…. yet, GW2 doesn’t have any of these.
Also, take into account their reward system for defending is negligible and does nothing more than to promote the PvD Karma Trains and server blobs… there’s alot to be adressed and there is NO timeline put forth to the public, to even consider sitting tight and waiting it out.
GW2 had it’s year to improve WvW and while they did address alot of the issues, the general consensus is that those issues never should have made it to Live to begin with…
The assumption on Anet’s part that ‘since we’re F2P, they will come back for expansions, updates and new content’ and however this might be true for PvE’rs, more often than not, once a PvP’er or WvW’er disassociates themselves w/ a particular game, they’re already invested in another one and the likelihood of coming back for WvW is next to ziltch.
GW2 is primarily a PvE game. They’ve made that loud and clear through their actions.

Stability is not necessary for small roaming and getting stomps.

- Blind Stomp
- Banish + JI Stomp
- Focus Stomp (block)
…. there’s 4, just off the top of my head.
Mediation w/ Rune Speed + Sword/Focus + GS – > Ton’s of mobility.
You will become a master ambient finder. And if you don’t, you’ll continue to die.
Lucentfir is correct in one aspect though: Fighting 1v2’s against equally skilled players is not going to result in positive outcomes, more often than not.

Its’ not full zerk, but it’s close. When i’m in the bigger engagements, i just swap in Celestial Trinkets + WvW buff’s and it’s a nice place to be able to absorb some decent burst.

Not a whole lot of people making vid’s atm… gw2 is getting a bit stale and haven’t log’d on too much to get any “epic” footage.

Why do you guys need to heal so much?
You’re confusing a support build vs a dps build. Every aspect of the Guardian outside of a pure dps build is very well balanced. The other, not so much.
Guardian DPS builds have very little sustain. It’s ~THE~ single biggest issue w/ guardians: Lack of stats to support DPS and the amount Guards have to sacrafice to even come close to other classes in the DPS/Burst department for WvW.

while warriors can effortlessly sit at 20 k and have better mobility ,speed and healing signet which is the most hax skill in the game?

Re-roll.
Just run Sword + Dagger and you can evade most of the damage while immobilized… and use healing spring.
You can also survive a bit w/ s/h and blast finish through the water field and leap w/ sword to make up the difference of the evade from dagger: WvW Example
Oh… and hope the RNG Condi removal isn’t on cooldown…. put on Purity so you have 4 every 10s. =’[
Our only active removal comes from Spring, Signet, and spirit . – unless you’re Human.

Here are a couple builds that I use in WvW. Feel free to check out the video’s and the builds in the description (#2 & #3 have the builds in them).
My favorite is my shortbow / sword+horn.
Suggestions for roaming and small group.
You can take a more glassier build into ZvZ, but you really need to go AH + Symbols/Consecrations. Reason being is all the healing from symbols / buff’s… and run a Mace/Focus + Hammer type build (you can keep your trait distribution, just change Med’s Heal to AH).

Mace+Focus / Greatsword (or Hammer).
I would put 10 points into Honor & 5 in Virtues. Then, run at least Retreat for getting around the map a bit faster as that’s what’s going to slow you down the most… Mobility.
After that, stay in the top 3 Trait lines and spec all damage gear: Powr/prec/Crit.
**this is for leveling. Nothing more.
~OR~ if this is just an “Alt” and you don’t care about PvE / Storyline… grind out glory for the next couple weeks and get your Tome of Knowledges.

My Take on Rangers – Yes, I have one.
GS needs love
1) Maul to be turned into a Blast Finisher.
2) The Damage Co-coefficients on #1 to be increased.
Fortifying Bond
1) “Any Boon or Attribute from skill use is shared between both pet and player”.
IE: Bear invulnerability would apply to player as well – opening up more than 30pt in Signets for a invulnerability when it comes to Melee.
Beastmasters Might
Grants you and your allies….
Pets
Make them more Utility Based and less part of the overall Damage. Maybe something to the extent of giving them a “Pack Mentality Aura” (200 ish) that increase survivability to those around it.
Pet’s need to do less damage but be able to stay in the fight longer. The Current issue is that they do great damge, so if you give them more survivability, they’ll be OP. Take the Damage out of the equation and turn them into Utility.
Outside of that, response rate on Ranger Weapons seem much much slower than other classes between swap’n out weapons and first ability use.

It never stops amazing me how some people think they can force their narrow view of how game play should function on everyone.
Stacking in a corner has been a valid combat strategy in MMO’s since the dawn of time. Smart use of your surroundings in combat has allways been a huge part of combat.
It’s also clear you have no idea about support functions in GW2.
Clearly your concept of “the dawn of time” is completely different than any veteran mmo player, because I remember a time where I BEGGED you to stand clumbed together cuz my PBAoE was going to tear you and your little toto too, a new kitten in about 4s… tops.

I have full confidence that, if the ArenaNet developers read this, they will realize the egregious error they have made and increase thief base health by 30%, and nerf elementalist base health by 20%.
Guardian would have to be lowered too.
Those GC Guardians are just ~way~ to hard to take down w/ their 11k hp & 2400 armor.
Here are a list of healing builds I use.
For small group stuff, try the “I Heal” one or “Random Dodges”.
Random dodges is similar to Healway ofcourse… pretty obvious.

1) Go bunker and run w/ a super glassy thief.
2) Healway + DD Ele
3) Meditations DPS + Warrior
4) Support + Engi
5) Signet or Condi Guardian w/ a Mesmer and just run around in circles jumping and laughing while the mesmer kills everything.
